Intergalactic Copyright Board

In an effort to allow businesses from various nations to keep the production rights of their products for a certain length of time, thereby protecting the economic interests of said nations and businesses registered therein.
The United Federation of Germanische Zustande hereby suggests than an intergalactic organization to regulate the licensing of copyrights to various intergalactic companies.
The Board will also deal with Patents and Intellectual Property Rights.
The Board shall consist of a Chairman, and three committees. One relating to Copyrights, Patents, and Intellectual Property Rights.
The Third would deal with suits brought against infringements of the realms of the previous two boards.
Any nations interested in participation in the Board must remain impartial when reviewing requests, and positions within the board will be shifted with bi-monthly elections.
As soon as ten nations have shown interest, an internet board will be set up for the purposes of the Intergalactic Copyright Board.

We do not endorse this board, and, indeed, find that our own copyrights are sufficient. Killing anyone who attempts to steal our work has proved an excellent preventative.

And if an enormous nation, much more advanced than you, stole your work? What then?
This means prevents the need for war, and will be a ligitimate, intergalactically sanctioned organization.

The fact that only members nations would veiw the board as ligit is enough proof that it would fail. Non-member nations just have to not recognize(SP) the board and therefore they are not under it's jurdiction. Unless the board would have a miltary force they would have to simply deal with the copywrites within the group alone and let the nations that were "stolen from" deal with the problem.

Well, if we have the original members, we can then begin to get nations to recognize the Board, and then the elections can change the nations within the Board every two months.
But, it would be inetivable that military force would be required. But hopefully enough nations will agree to this Board as a good idea, and war will be a last resort.

The United states will not recognize the authority of such a foolish board nor will it submit to it we feel that this will cause more problems then solve, and will automatically place economic sanctions on nations forming such a thing, if nations of this board attempt to assert there authority over copy rights through the use of military force the United States will intervene against nations attempting to enforce such rules .

If nations continue to express the same attitudes as this, the existence of any form of intergalactic law will never be possible. Nations must begin to work together, not exist in a perpetual state of war, as the past centuries of the Galaxy have shown.
We must place our faith in organizations such as this, and work to build successful coalitions.

Inter galactic law? What inter galactic law? There are no formal laws out there and nations who try to keep some order keep it in a small area not a huge area .

Exactly. There is no intergalactic law. Nothing binding nations together. This is one attempt at forming a piece of intergalactic law, a law governing the protection of production, design, and intellectual property rights.

How may we go about registering an Intergalactic Copyright?
And how much would it cost?
We are fully supportive of an Intergalactic Copyright Board, as many nations will use the same names for products as others.
