I wanted an aircraft to insert small special ops units, and came up with this. Any thoughts about it are welcome.

The need to insert specialist units deep into enemy territory with little detection, and high safety, required a new aircraft to be designed. High speed is the core of this aircraft, with two engines supplying enough thrust to reach several times the speed of sound. At lower speeds the rotary wings come into effect, making the aircraft VTOL in its effect. At high speeds, the blades morph to create smooth wings.

In the underside of the fuselage, a small cargo hold allows up to 8 men to rest in position to drop down from the aircraft at a moments notice. Upon disembarkation time, the bottom opens up, and cabels fall from the ceiling. The men then rappel down these, and once free, the aircraft moves off, winches winding in the cables. Using the best stealth measures, this aircraft can remain undetected for pretty much the entire trip.

The combat systems are described in the link at the ottom of the first thread.

Engines???

The designation is different. The fighter is MTA-F01, adn this is MTA-M01 - notice the change of the last letter. Classification is like this:

MTA - MierTech Aircraft
-F - Fighter
-M - Miscelleanous.

OOC: Yeah, just noticed that designation part. Although at a glance it seems the same.

Yeah - the old designation (PX-???) may have been easier to spot easily, but this brought it into line with the other classifcataions of my other stuff.
