Cruxgrad
28-08-2005, 23:25
...have entered peace discussions.

In other news, the nation of Cruxgrad had an outbreak of artificial disease in the early hours of this morning.

The death toll is said to have consisted of 12 people, including the ambassador for Jenrak. Shortly after arrival in the nation of Cruxgrad, inside sources say that contact with the vessel was lost, likely due to infection of the crew.

Our source has confirmed those dead include the ambassador, the initial members of administrative staff, both pilots and three members of airport staff.

To prevent further infection, the airport was quarantined for several hours while the dead were burned and the area decontaminated. Those who are prone to distress or of a squeamish nature are advised to look away now.

[Footage of mass corpse pyre]

As of yet the virus is unidentified, however the Right Honourable Sir Voran, Minister for the Social Defense of Cruxgrad, gave us this statement: "While the virus and its source is unidentified, both we and Jenrak will be launching an investigation into how this course of events could have come about."

We were also assured that the virus was under control and there was no possibility of a future outbreak.

Now, for sports...

Cobra Global Representative,

We thank you, on behalf of the Imperator, for your consideration. However Cruxgrad's primary industry lies in biological & chemical research. We are positive that, given time, we will be able to determine the source, especially after further discussions with the nation of Jenrak. We will likely make an international statement when the offending virus has been discerned, depending on whether or not we believe it to pose a future risk.

Faithfully,
Sir Ivan Zachis,
Minister for Foreign Affairs.

GAN (Government Aprroved News)

Subsequent to the outbreak of a potentially pandemical virud in Cruxgrad, The blessed Chris has withdrawn all resident nationals, including the evacuation of the embassy, and requesitioned a cruise ship of blessed Chris origin to facilitate their return to a safe environment. However somewhat confused reports aboard the ship, currently sailing some 1500 kilometres from Port Solus, would imply that the virus has been carried onto the ship, and accordingly upwards of 2000 civilians are in severe danger of contracting the disease. Consequentially, the ship and all air within 5 kilometres proximity of it have been declared quarrantined, and entry is interdicted without express interdiction. At this juncture we are unable to proffer further information beyond the fact that the government is currently considring numerous courses of action, and intends to act decisively within the following 24 hours.

Here at the Telegrafnoe Agentstvo Sovetskogo Soiuza (Telegraph Agency of the Sovie Union), tensions are running high as we try and get coverage for the new viral outbreak. Questions are being thrown around just as much as rumors. An insider within the Kremlin stated that the Soviet Union may be ceasing all in-coming and out-going flights to Cruxgrad until further notice.

A travel advisery has already been issued for all Soviet citizens going to Cruxgrad. Also, the Soviet Militsiya (Police) have been given enough executive leway as to detain Soviet citizens who have just returned from Cruxgrad for medical testing in order to keep the spread of the disease from coming about. Then, earlier this morning, reports from the Blessed Chris were begining to sprout up that another incident may have occured causing an even worse outbreak than that which occured in Cruxograd. This has also caused a mild distrust to grow within certain regions of the Soviet Union about the Cruxian administration's ability to contain and control emergency situations within their own country. It is unknown as of now whether the Politburo will be contacting the Cruxian administration about their lack of security and emergency situation. Please stay tuned to TASS for up-to-date information onf the 'Cruxy Virus'.

Official Political Statement

We have determined that the virus was infact 'Night Rabies', a creation of Jenrak laboratories. We believe that it was brought in by a member of the ambassadorial staff, or else member of the crew. We are currently in discussions with Jenrak as to how such an event could have come to pass, fortunately we believe that we have stemmed the virus before it could escape.

The Government of the Empire of Tajiri_san wish to extend our sympathies To the families of those whom have died in the incident in the nation of Cruxgrad. We wish to offer what ever assistance our nation may no matter how small it may be.
However we have now closed all ports to traffic coming into the country coming from or originating in Cruxgrad and Jendrak and stopped all Travel to those countries that was not enroute before ports were closed except for any medical personnel that may be asked to go to help in the case of a major outbreak, as a percaution against an outbreak of this virus within our own nation, furthermore all person having arrived from either nation with in the last 72 hours are currently being found by our own Biohazard containment specialists and taken to Tajirigrad central medical facility to be quarentined and tested for Night Rabies as will all those arriving in flights or ships from the affected countries which have been diverted to militarty facilities to be met by specialist teams so as to try to contain any possible contanimation in the country.

Mr. Christopher,

While my Government appreciates this gesture, we have discovered that it is known as 'Night Rabies', one of the bio-chemicals available in Jenrak. Once we can open communications with Jenrak we shall hopefully begin a duel investigation into how it arose.

If you wish to aid further with our research and possible creation of antidote, you may offer a donation to one of our major biological and chemical research departments. You may still send your science team to aid our researchers, but we would like to point out they will be subject to our laws for immigrants.

Sincerely,

Your request for an embassy detail of;
1 ambassador
52 embassy staff
24 armed Marine Guards (48 G-11 AR, 48 PG-11 side Arm and 2 SG-12 DMR)
2 unarmed Helicopter
1 SWARM vehicle (SUV with remotely controled weapons turret)

is accepted. Note we do not allow any armed aircraft within our borders for any reason at the moment, though this may well change at a later date. APC's are simply classed as armoured cars.

Your ambassador is granted diplomatic immunity. We will provide you with a heliport as an act of goodwill.

Regarding your embassy rules;

For our embassy we require atleast four watch-towers with spot-lights and MG's along with eletrified fencing. Would it be possible to increase our armed security two one hundred and one [101]? This would cover one full Corp of our SDC (Social Defense Corps) and put them at fully capability should the need for action arise.

Requested Embassy Detail;

Ambassador with 577 administrative staff and 13 maintenance staff.
101 SDC's (Armed personnel, going to put up a link for them later).
2 MI-6 armed helicopters.
3 BMP-2 APC's.
1 modified BMP-2 C-APC.

Hello, welcome to this special extended edition of TASS. In a few moments, Comrade Troskin is expected to make a speech regarding the situation between Cruxgrad and Jenrak. Several days ago, Jenrak applied for an embassy within the Soviet Union and was accepted. With the news that Jenrak has been actively using biological weaponry and spreading it, it is uncertain whether Soviet-Jenrak relations will stre- Oh, okay, here is to you live the speech by Comrade Troskin:

"Roughly three hours ago, I was briefed on the up-to-date situation in Cruxgrad. First of all, I would like to send my sympathies to the families of those lost by such a lack of safety and security. Secondly, I would like to state that the Political Bureau, Supreme Soviet, and Central Soviet [of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union] are in a hard debate on whether deportation of Jenrak ambassadors or 'consulate arrest' will be the route to take in order to secure the safety of the Soviet people.

"It is surprising to me to such a degree that the Jenrak administration has allowed their safety precautions to fall to. If it is true that an ambassador from Jenrak was carrying this, 'Night Rabies', then every Soviet citizen may be in danger. As of now, all transportation to and from Jenrak from all Soviet Socialist Republics and insular areas has ceased. Any Soviet citizens attempting to leave to Jenrak will be arrested and detained for upto one week, and vice versa.

"The Politburo is planning on sending scientists from the Public Health and Military Affairs Commissariat to Jenrak and Cruxgrad if neccessary to be sure that this situation will never happen again. I am hoping that both Jenrak and Cruxgrad will be willing and co-operative in our efforts to create a safe enviroment for the citizens of earth to live in.

"On a more personal note, I would like to display my disgust for whomever is responsible for the spread of this vile disease. It would bring me great pleasure to see this individual brought to trial in a Proletarian Court within the Soviet Union and punished for his crimes against humanity. However, this fine country is not a fascist state like our former Western enemy. In any case, the Political Bureau and Committee For State Security [KGB] will be conducting an extensive investigation on the incident. Now, good evening, comrades, and may you all sleep well knowing you are being protected. Good night."

That was just a speech made by Comrade Troskin in the Kremlin. Please stay tuned to TASS as we keep you up-to-date on the 'Night Rabies Incident'.

We thank you for your offer of an embassy, but with such low numbers of officials and guards, we do not think such an arrangement would be possible. That would make us more content in our position as our ambassadors are some of our most highly respected people and, in some cases, relatives of the Imperial bloodline.

as for your embassy: While understanding of most nations security and diplomatic concerns, we must enquire as to the purpose of establishing an embassy with 577 staff and a full corps size defense force? we do not have much trade or relations and even if we did it would not justify a 577 staff mission. as for the number of troops, if you want to establish a military garrisson on Mondothian soil it must be reciprocated by allowing a Mondothian Military garrison in your nation, 101 defensive staff is simply to much to ask for an embassy garrison, We assure you that our national security is top of the line and fully capable of dealing with the kinds of threats that one hundred soldiers would be needed to deal with.

To the people of Cruxgrad are no doubt devastated by the horrendous viral outbreak. Next time, we shall have more competent pilots to carry our ambassadors, but the prospect of such a chemical aboard our plane seems skeptical, and possibly we could have had our planes mixed up, as we were intent on arriving the ambassadors in certain planes, but it seems to be a military class plane seemingly masqueraded as a Jenrakian diplomacy vehicle.

However, we wish taht we send over a batallion of specially trained chemical troops who are professionals at dealing with this kind of apathetic event. We ourselves have had heinous chemical outbursts, but have successfully quelled them without problem.

We also suggest that other nations wishing to involve themselves that they turn back; it would simply be a waste of time and money, whether they find a cure or not to battle it, as we already have made one for this disease. We urge that all people affected are kept away from dark spots, stay in the light, and kept in basements fully locked until we arrive.

As of now, the Jenrak envoy and embassy staff are not under arrest of any sorts.
