The man stood in front of the shouting crowd, carrying the flag of the soon to be Confederate Commandia. Three more men stood behind him, follwed by 5 armed guards.
There were some protesters as well, but they would be ignored. Most other people were also carrying the Confederate flag, and some carried the old Republic flag.
"People of Commandia!" yelled the man, "The times of the republic are over!"
This was follwed by a loud cheering.
"The Confederate movement is coming to an end, victoriously!"
More cheering.
"I officially declare, our proud nation, The Confederate states of Commandia!"
The loudest cheer of all. On the flagpole behing the man, the Republic flag was still raised. It was slowly lowered, and the Confederate flag was raised.
The few people carrying the republic flag started moving away from the crowd, but the rest stayed, cheering and clapping.
PROPERTY OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF COMMANDIA
replaced the 'property of the republic of Commandia' signs. All things pointing to the republic were removed, execpt for the memorials, which the nation was still proud. All execpt the memorials, and the protesters.
