GALACTIC ANNOUNCEMENT

http://www.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/4/45/Imperial_Emblem.gif

Empire Retreats.

Well boys and girls it has been fun, for over an entire year now me and Coreworlds have been battling it out, rampaging across the Galaxy fighting here and fighting there.

I remember the first war where absolutely everything was stacked up against the alliance of three. Me, Chronosia and Doomingsland, and yet evil prevailed, somehow we managed to grasp victory from a numerically and often technologically superior foe. But today is that day many have been waiting for, today Coreworlds is your independence day.

IC: As of this moment, the Galactic Empire is formally retreating from all territories outwith the Coreworlds and colony regions. The Inner Rim and Outer Rim are no longer Imperial territory, order will be established to whoever prevails.

Imperial troops will abandon their facilities and remove their equipment, however, certain strategic locations will remain Imperial Property.

Kuat Drive Yards ~Though within the Coreworlds it is best not to confuse the matter.
Kaminos ~ This planet is Imperial Property.
The Coroporate Sector ~ Is a steadfast Imperial ally and will not be given up.

(The list can and will be amended if necessary)

The Galactic Empire is now maintaining a policy of steadfast isolationism. Any approaches to our borders whether peaceful or not will result in your destruction.
Doomingsland

OOC:Noooo!!! Meh. It's not like I get to RP FT much now a days, anyway (although that is soon to change (though that has nothing to do with this turn of events))
Chronosia
28-08-2005, 15:00
The Imperium does not accept such retreat. In light of the Galactic Empire's retreat and vows of isolationism; Chronosia hereby claims itself as Lord Protectorate of the Border Marches. We shall institute Chronosian law within those areas abandoned by the Empire. Only the strong may prevail; only the mighty may provide strength and unity amongst the Alliance.

We invite any others to share our goals; and hereby declare the territory as our own, save those areas claimed by others who would hold together the Empire.

Man an empire giving up hte much territory is uheard of, but yet it is entirely your desicion at least the Coreworlds is free at least.

We free free at last thank God almighty we are free free at last.
OOC: That is from a church song I believe.

The Dark Lady Nightshade concurs (slightly) with Chronosia. With the departure of the Empire and all its greatness, it is time for someone to move in and claim what was once Imperial space...

"Dibs on the Inner Regions!"
Chronosia
28-08-2005, 16:28
And we claim the Outer Rim, the border worlds; all shall fall under the eye of the Imperium; we simply await the opportunity to move.
Neo Zeta
28-08-2005, 19:47
In Light of the Empires failure The Eternal Fayth of Neo Zeta will look long and hard at the use of being its ally. We at this moment would like to seek closer ties with Chronosia.
Green Sun
28-08-2005, 19:50
Green Sun will begin to expand its influence and begin to colonize empty worlds. Should any other ship beat us there, however, we will turn away. Any atatck on a Green Sun colony ship will not be taken lightly.
Godular
28-08-2005, 19:58
On behalf of the Godulans, I would like to react to this turn of events with a mixture of joy and confusion.

As the result of the widespread Imperial pull out, the Godulans hereby express their intention to expand its influence across a goodly portion of the Outer rim, Inner Rim, and the Unknown Regions, with the assistance of the AoN and the various other Allied nations.

Any who would like to assist in the restoration of order are welcome to join.

We claim Hutt space already Chronosia, so steer clear of that area (Not OHMK II personally, but Dark Lord Kartion does. Ask CW for confirmation).

The Emperor and his Primarch sons felt it first; the psychic death screams that surpassed even those of Istvaan; dear god; countless worlds all blown asunder in the blink of an eye; such power, such overbearing reach...

It almost brought a smirk to the Primarch's faces; and to Emperor, it brought dark and bold laughter, echoing through the void. How beautiful...

Kartion grinned as he sensed Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda explode in a firery rage, with the Hutts along with them. The moment was at hand.

"Admiral Krath, please inform the Nikto, the Vodrans, and any other species and planets in this sector that the Hutts are no more, and that their contracts have finally been voided." He ordered, looking at a small hologram. The man nodded.

"Yes sir."

_________________________________________________________________
Two days later...

Kartion stood before a mass delegation in the Courtyard of his castle. Thousands of sentient beings from around Hutt Space or those that were migrating to Hutt Space were sat before a Grand Pedestal that Kartion was standing on. Around the delegation, stood many of Kartion's Sith Warriors. They stood still, looking up, their faces straight. Kartion cleared his throat. The Dark Side was strong here, every being not Sith being slowly corrupted by it.

"People of Hutt Space, today, we enter a New Era! The Hutts have been wiped out by my hand, and your contracts to the Hutts, have, been, VOIDED!"

A mass cheer went up from the Delegation, but the Warriors stood still, their faces still straight. The best bit hadn't come yet. Kartion waved his hands, and waited for silence.

"Of course, as you well remember, you promised me your alligence if *I*, Kartion Elesto, Dark Lord of the Sith, managed to get rid of the Hutts! And I have done so, and now, you are now alligned with me!" Kartion said, his voice booming across the Courtyard. His voice became more powerful, more evil, more him. He grinned.

"As of this moment, the New Sith Order is expanding. Due to the mass allignment we have recieved from you, we no longer need to be weary of the Empire or the Jedi. Why? I'll tell you why my friends!"

The Sith grinned. It was time. Project Dark Force had entered it's final stage.

"TODAY, NO MORE WILL THIS BE A RAGTAG SECTOR FULL OF CRIMINALS AND LOWLIFES! TODAY, WE WILL NO LONGER LIVE IN FEAR OF THE EMPRE OR THE JEDI! TODAY! I AM ANNOUNCING THE REORGANISATION OF THIS SECTOR, INTO THE SECOND, SITH, EMPIRE!!!"

The Sith cheered enthusiastically, and the Delegation felt themselves becoming elated. The Dark Side was twisting them.

"FROM THIS MOMENT FORWARD, THIS SECTOR OF SPACE WILL NO LONGER BE 'HUTT SPACE', NO LONGER WILL IT BE KNOWN FOR IT'S ALLIGNMENTS WITH THE UNDERWORLD. TODAY! THIS SECTOR WILL BE CALLED: 'SITH SPACE'!!!"

The crowd erupted in cheers and hoots. Kartion looked over the crowd, and smiled.

"AS I AM TELLING YOU THIS, THE EMPIRE'S FLEET IS MOBILISING TO DEPLOY TO EVERY MAJOR WORLD IN THIS SECTOR! FROM HERE, WE WILL BEGIN THE RAPID MILITARISATION OF SITH SPACE! WE WILL BUILD SHIPYARDS ABOVE EVERY MAJOR PLANET, AND BEGIN MASS CONSCRIPTION. IF THIS GOES TO PLAN, VERY SOON, THE SITH EMPIRE WILL HAVE A MILITARY POWERFUL ENOUGH, TO RIVAL THAT OF OUR NEW NEIGHBOURS!!!"

The crowd stood up in an uproar. It had happened, the Sith had become a Superpower again. Following the speech, Hutt Space was immediately renamed to 'Sith Space', it's territories expanded by a few lightyears, and in the weeks that followed, the Sith Empire gained a Military powerful enough to be reckoned with. Klatooine was announced as the Capital Planet of the Sith Empire, and more Defense Skyhooks were erected over the planet.

_________________________________________________________________

Kartion sat in his Office, fidding with the new Holographic Platform he had put in recently. Getting the Platform to send the transmission to the Chronosian Imperium and the Coreworlds Republic, Kartion stood on the platform, his eyes sharp. The pad lit up, indicating it was transmitting on a tight-band frequency, impossible to tap into, and only recieveable by those it was sent to.

"Chronosians, Jedi, Republicans, this is a great time of change. The Empire invaded Hutt Space and destroyed two of our worlds, but luckily, I was able to twist this to my own means. If you might have noticed, the Dark Side has been on a mass increase in Hutt Space, and I am here to tell you why.

I, Kartion Elesto, Dark Lord of the New Sith Order, have achieved something I have been planning since the capture of Avon and Villa, General Amarka and the other Turrelian. On this day, I announce to you that the Sith Empire has come into power, with me at it's head. Hutt Space is now Sith Space, and with the Empire now firmly militarised, I am extending my condolences to you, on losing so much.

And I urge you to look past our differences, for I wish to do something very bold. Due to the fact that we were the least affected power, we have recovered very quickly, and because of this, I am inviting you to call upon the Sith Empire to help you rebuild if you wish. For we have all been hit by this mas...injustice, and we must unite in these times to stay dominant, to stay powerful.

I await your response with great eagerness and excitement, and I wish you good luck with the future."

With that, Kartion bowed, and stepped off the Platform. The pad's lights deactivated, and a small beep confirmed that the transmission had been sent.

"And now I can only wait for their response..."

With that, Kartion sat down at his desk, and began reading over the reports his Grand Admirals had sent.

Soon we will have Millions of Sith Warriors...it's unbelieveable. So many scumbags have actually turned out to be Force-Sensitive...

Four Star Destroyers revert to realspace at Dantooine, ready to take the world for the Coredian Republic. But what they ended up seeing was a horror beyond what they expected...

"Captain, we're detecting massive energy signatures from the planet itself."

"A battle?" He asked. He expected that a warlord would have taken control after the Empire retreated, but so quickly?

The sensor officer looked again at the emissions. "No, sir. It looks like...Sithspit! They're conducting a Base Delta Zero operation on the world!"

"What?!" The Captain roared and walked swiftly to the sensors. But the truth was laid bare for all the bridge crew to see. The captain then grew furious...more angry than ever before. "Send word to Jurai. Send out probe droids to other planets and find out what's happening. And prepare for battle!"

A cloud of probe droids and smaller ships were sent through hyperspace to visit other planets, but it was soon clear...The Empire has begun conducting an extermination of every well-known planet in the galaxy. The ships and droids began transmitting images on every frequency imaginable to ensure that even if they were destroyed, the word was out: The Empire is committing Xenocide on the most horrifying scale imaginable.

The four Star Destroyers then began engaging the enemy Star Destroyers conducting the BDZ operation, knowing that they're too late for the system. Too late for the galaxy.

----

Horror fell upon the High Council as they recovered from the grave disturbance in the Force. After a few moments of the extermination played on their holoscreens they could bear no more.

"By the Force..." Elendil shook his head sadly. The end of the Galaxy was at hand.

"My grandson's former Master, Dark Lord of the Sith Kartion Elesto has offered us an alliance to deal with the Empire." Alex said, having returned from the conflict at Earth. His eyes no longer showed kindness, but cold anger. His fury now knows no bounds. "I suggest we take it, and call upon all allies to help us fight the Empire once more. No matter how long it takes. No matter the cost, the Empire...must...die!" His gnarled and aged hands crackled with dark electricity.

"Alex..." Master Rydo tried to calm the old man.

"With all due respect, Emily, we have been exiled for far too long. We have let the Empire grow too powerful cowering in this little corner of the galaxy like rats. I order the 4th Fleet to take and hold the Bastion system immediately and at all costs. I myself will reply to the Dark Lord and cement the alliance." Master...no, Patriarch Masaki finished and headed off to his statesroom to do just what he said.

"Alex, as much as I'm honoured...we aren't in the business of such things. Unless the Jedi can recognise that the Sith have the right to exist, and that we respect each other's territorial soveriegnty, I'm afraid I have to turn down the offer."

Kartion looks deeply into Alex's eyes.

"Do you think you can do that, Alex? Get the Jedi to recognise our rights? Put past Millenia upon Millenia of war and strife and forgive, forget, and begin afresh as equals? As one?" He asked earnestly.

Very interesting. And in light of the changes to some of the philosophies...

Since Skywalker, the Jedi have gotten more powerful in their use of the Force. While there are still a few holdouts, the Jedi have begun to believe in the fact that it's not the Force itself that's light or dark, for the Force is just there. It's completely impartial, neither caring nor worrying about what powers the Order uses out of it. It is only when sentients put labels on the Force that it becomes dark or light. The Order has only begun to recognize it, and it would take yet another risky step to continue it.

"It will take much time and effort, but I do believe that we can manage it." Alex replied. Then smiled. "I shall make that first step, that upon my authority as Patriarch of the Coreworlds and member of the High Council, the Jedi shall recognise the New Sith Order as legitimate. The others will follow suit, but I do expect both sides to treat each other well, if you know what I mean."

A ship reappeared from hyperspace in the Coreworlds capital of Juraiin the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. The ship had the exacts lines and shape of one of the most feared vessels in space, for it was a Star Destroyer. A closer inspection of the ship would have revealed that this vessel was in fact not of Imperial Origin, its hull number would have revealed that it was constructed by the shipyards above Mon Calimari. The ship was a few hundred meters longer then the old Imperator class vessels and the insignia it bore upon its hull would have been unknown, not because they were new, the ship had been in used and under the existing colors for years, they were the new colors of what the Rebel Alliance had become. A large blue diamond contained four blue worlds, these were the colors of the Confederacy of Free Worlds.

The ship had waged war against the Empire since the fall of the Republic nearly five years prior and it bore some of the scars from that long and most difficult fight.

Evidently the nation from whence it came had little time or lacked the means to repair such minor damages.

Upon the Bridge of this vessel stood a Tall woman, her long and straight black hair was tied into a French braid and reached down unto her lower back. Her uniform was consisted of a heavy green tunic with grey trouser, a red stripe ran down their length on each side of her legs. When she turned to face the man behind her one would have noticed a scar that ran from the left side of her forehead down to her chin, apparently too bacta was short in supply.

"Paladin Hawkins we have arrived at Jurai as you have requested, though as you well know I've still harbor reservations about the removal of the Reliant from the frontier. Now is the time the Empire may finally strike in force..." She told the man whose face was still hidden by his old and worn black cloak.

"I respect your concerns Alexia and I will not question their merit. Other forces are growing in this galaxy that will become a much greater threat then the Empire was or ever will be. The Empire just wiped out a couple dozen systems ruthlessly but they have also pulled back and consolidated, I don’t think they will attack us now...May the force help us if they do though..."

It was clear Hawkins was taking a risk even coming to Juria, if the Empire attacked though one ship wouldn’t make the difference, the fleet was almost burnt out, they needed what the Empire was attempting to secure for themselves, a rest.

"I will be heading down to the surface Commodore, I shall return within the day I imagine, I will inform you if my stay is extended."

"I understand Paladin, May the force be with you." She told Hawkins.

"And with you." He responded with a bow as he retreated from the bridge of the ship.

Moments later an old model X-Wing departed from the ship, a squadron of the newer variants formed a CAP around their mother ship.

Hawkins flew towards the planet he knew where to go already and he was sure his "hosts" would sense his arrival.

Ord Rondona System
Contested Space

Ord Rondona was an insignificant system, there were no habitable planets in it nor was there much of anything else. A couple lifeless rocks frozen or molten orbiting a dying star. The only point of interest was located on the edge of the system and in the form of a small listening post that scanned the system regularly for Imperial incursions.

If a ship entered the system this day though they would find something more interesting then a couple planetoids and a listening station. They would find a significant portion of the Confederacy's battle fleet.

The twelve vessels which compromised the Gold Dust Squadron sat in the system. Three Mon Cal cruisers twice that number in frigates and three corvettes. Numerous fighter squadrons were pre-launched and flying a combat air patrol protecting the deployed squadron.

They awaited the guests they invited to the system this day, normally they would greet their guests with contempt and unbridled anger and do their best to kill them, but today would be an exception.

Executor Star Destroyer
5 Days After Schadenfreude
Captains Log.

Operation Schadenfreude, has been hailed as a complete success. However The necessary decontamination of rebel assets has unfortunately resulted in severe loss of civilian life which has left the empire…..lacking in certain strategic areas. Our supply and military recruitment base has been halved with the rapid consolidation, and as such the current military cannot be sustained in the long term. Immediate expansion into the Unknown territories, Galactic North and South is necessary to ensure Imperial survival.

The Inner Rim is now truly secure, it would take a force beyond the Empires own to break through, something the enemy worlds currently lack. However the political situation is changing. Spies from the former Hutt space are reporting back on a rapid change in the political framework. There is reportedly a new form of Sith present, now calling itself “The Sith Empire” understandably the emperor is slightly upset at the gross imbalance in his religion, there can only be two apparently, a master, and an apprentice.

This unforeseen and unfortunate political change will cause the Empire to re-think its foreign policy. We will open up diplomatic relations with the free worlds to act as a buffer with this “Sith Empire” while the last remnants of the rebellion is hunted down and destroyed.

The Chronosian Imperium has remained unusually quiet during these events, something which concerns the emperor greatly. But necessary steps must be made to insure the balance.

The Coredian rebellion will be exterminated by the emperors hand, such an operation will require limited naval assistance however this “Sith Empire” may have to be dealt with sooner than later.

These are troubling times.

End Log

Ord Rondona System

Just like all other Hyperspace reversions throughout history this one was no different for the Executor Star Destroyer, apart from it being in such a seedy, and rather dull part of the Galactic rim.

Grand Admiral Blathe was busy in his study when the vessel arrived in the system, the communications officer using some common sense transmitted the usual greeting.

Free World Delegation, please send your delegate via transport to Docking Bay five.*coordinates enclosed*

“Admiral, we have the rebel fleet on our sensors, the request transmission has been sent, they will be arriving in docking bay five shortly.”

Leaving the mountain of “pacification” papers on his desk Blathe proceeded to the cargo bay.

Alicia Hamilton sat strapped into the seat of Confederate Space Navy assault transport. She could see through the pilots armorplast canopy that they were nearing the docking bay of the mammoth Star Destroyer. It was a site that sent a shiver of dread down her spine, for ten years the woman was a fighter pilot, that is until she lost her left arm which was replaced by an artificial arm, it looked fairly life like due to the semi-bionic skin. Undoubtedly it was not as an advanced design found in the Empire but it was the best her new Nation could do.

The assault shuttle landed in the docking bay and the woman removed her helmet and safety belt. She grabbed the briefcase that was at her side as she exited the craft. She wore the classic flight suit of a Rebel pilot, her skin was pale, and her face was marked by navy blue tattoo in the shape of concentric stars cover her left forehead and around that eye. It was the local tribal markings from her home planet.

She looked around for her welcoming party they were usally not hard to notice the Empire always did great guest with much flair and to do.

Hawkins flew towards the planet he knew where to go already and he was sure his "hosts" would sense his arrival.
"My Lord, an older-model X-wing is entering our defense screens." A soldier reported to the Patriarch.

Alex is still getting used to being called 'Lord' after the announcement of his reinstatment of the Royal Family a couple days ago, but he acknowledged it anyway. "I know the person driving it. Let him through on Bay 238. Has Daniel returned from Earth?"

"Yessir, he's on his way right now."

"Very well. Escort the pilot to my statesroom as soon as he lands." Alex said, and began preparing some rice tea.

Hawkins nodded politely enough to the man sent to guide him to his destination as he disembarked from his fighter. He didn’t speak a word as they made their way to Alex Masaki's stateroom.

This was not a day Hawkins was prepared to deal with pleasantries' of state he did not wait to be acknowledged he simply pushed the doors open and greeted the Emperor who awaited him within,

"Its good to see you once again Emperor I am pleased to see you in such good health. Yet I am afraid I didn't come here to make such idle chatter or to be among friends of old...We have quite pressing matters to deal with, some of which have become a grave concern to myself and the Confederacy."

The words themselves were perfectly cordial yet there was something else behind them, perhaps it was because the last time the two men met Alex Masaki just exiled Hawkins, a Jedi Master, from the Jedi Order, and order he never returned to the order since.

"Patriarch." Alex corrected. "Emperor is such a young man's word. Perhaps you would like some tea? I find it soothing. Have a seat, and we shall talk."
The WIck
31-08-2005, 01:56
"Patriarch eh?" Hawkins rolled the word over his tongue for a moment, it was still a distasteful term. If Hawkins was anything he was a believer in democracy, call it what you would but a Patriarch was no different then an emperor. "Tea is not strong enough to sooth my old bones anymore I find I often need something stronger, but that is neither here nor there because as I said we have important maters to discuss." Hawkins stated as he took a seat in front of the man's desk.

Hawkins pulled a small holo-cube out from inside his robe and placed it upon the desk. when activated a 3d representation of the galaxy was displayed.

"These are troubling times for both our nations Alex, as you should have realized by now the Rebel Alliance which has resisted Imperial Rule since the fall of the Republic six years ago is no more. Now with the recent withdrawal of Imperial forces from their outlying bases we have finally been able to consolidate power ourselves." As Hawkins said this a green sphere light up on the galaxy contained with in the blinking system of Mon Calamari "This is the Confederacy of the Free Worlds, its capital in on Mon Calamari, our territory also includes the former Farstars Confederacy and its two dozen systems. The Tion Cluster, Senex-Juvex sectors, also including parts of the Meridian Sector along the frontier shared with the Empire.

It was a motley collection of Rim Worlds scattered about the fringe of the galaxy but these worlds held potential. For so long they have been abused and ignored by the Core ward systems, no longer. Now they were a nation of their own, for once a collective entity bound not by race or nationality, but instead by a believe in democracy and a love for the Republic that fell so suddenly in the troubles and dark times half a decade ago.

The scattered members of the Confederacy were given separate colors on the display all told there were about fifteen regions and twice that number of independent systems declaring membership in the Confederacy of Free Worlds. At first glance it may appear to be a small number when compared to the thousands of systems that comprised the Core but in reality the majority of the member systems were heavy in resources, that was the reason man colonized these worlds in the first place. Also many of the member nations claimed possession of significant portions of existing trade routes. Small and scattered this new nation may be, but it was a robust one indeed.

“This Alex is the Confederacy of Free Worlds, each member region is called a prefecture and there are a number of allied single system powers also declaring allegiance to the Confederacy after the recent withdrawal of Imperial Forces en masse from the mid rim.” Hawkins told the Cordian man.

“There are as you would imagine a number of what we have been calling “drifter” colonies established following the recent devastation wrought by the Empire against the Wookies and the Bothans, also some of the smaller systems like Duros and Balmorra.”

“The Empire has committed another atrocity to add to their already long list.” Hawkins scowled distaste evident in his voice. “But that is an action expect of a most hated enemy, I came here today not to talk to you about the Empire however but a more clear and present danger to the sovereignty of the Confederacy…the recently risen Sith Empire. With the power vacuum left by extermination of the Hutts I suppose it is no surprise that Katrion has usurped power in that region. His intentions are quite clear my friend, the Sith have only one purpose, it is the seduction of power, the lust of greed, no good will come from the establishment of this Empire. We must strike it down before it becomes to powerful to do so. History must not be allowed to repeat, remember how Andrew did not strike the Galactic Empire down when it was just forming, he lived to regret that mistake for a while. We must not allow the Sith to rise to prominence!”

The words Hawkins spoke were thick with his disgust for anything sith or dark. He made his own opinion on the mater of the Sith quite clear. He also made his opinions of the current JedI Council and their new philosophies quite clear before he was exiled from the order clear also.

"I shall make that first step, that upon my authority as Patriarch of the Coreworlds and member of the High Council, the Jedi shall recognise the New Sith Order as legitimate. The others will follow suit, but I do expect both sides to treat each other well, if you know what I mean."

Kartion grinned.

"No Alex, we'll make the first effort. And don't worry, we'll recognise you, but this will be a more...'friendly rivalry' relationship than an actual merging, seeing as our teachings are different."

Kartion then looked behind him and nodded. He turned back.

"Well then, Alex Masaki, I suppose we're now alligned. Congratulations." He said with a grin.

Operation Entanglement
ISD Terror
Time ~ 1954 Imperial Centre Standard

The Galactic Empire was once a ruthless and stream lined organisation filled with tactical ingenuity and rapidly advancing weapon designs, however over the past few years things were inexplicably stagnating. After the fall of the Republic and the restoration of Imperial rule the once former progressive Empire didn’t quite go back to normal. This slow down in administrative and military momentum was first of all perceived by the command chain as a small blip which was to be expected in such a rapid change of government, after all new forms had to be made, systems had to be changed and personnel re-educated, however after a year it was obvious that it was rebel spies who were crippling the Empire.

Operation Schadenfreude had been a mere extension of Entanglement, with the eventual goal to cripple enemy intelligence and monitoring systems. The rampant destruction observed in Entanglement was a necessary course to cut off the chain of command from spy masters and rebel cells. Combined with the destruction of the Bothan Homeworld rebel elements would now be at breaking point.

During Schadenfreude the Empires secret service The Black Order arrested approximately six hundred personnel, all of which were found to be traitors and enemy agents to the state. They were all brought before a firing squad fifteen hours after their capture.

Entanglement was also devised to flush out the rebel military presence, which was currently being as cumbersome as a Rancor. Deep space monitoring stations had begun to detect a rag tag force massing for some form of engagement. The hope was that the rebellion would expand into the power "vacuum" and consolidate where they could then be exterminated once and for all, after all, currently the rebellion was elusive and continued to avert from a decisive fleet engagement, as soon as the Empire managed to force the matter the rebellion would be dead once and for all.

Admiral Pael felt no sympathy for those killed in Schadenfreude, all the worlds that were targeted were traitorous. Most citizens had sworn to destroy the Empire, which cared for them and their families so lovingly. But now, they and their traitorous ways were gone, finally the Empire can get back down to business.

Sighing Pael left the ready room for the bridge, phase two was about to begin and he had to start it.

From the bridge of the Terror the Grand Admiral was able to survey the entire fleet from frigate to destroyer, from destroyer to moon sized battlestation.

“Admiral we have an incoming transmission from Admiral Hale, he’s requesting that the fleet breaks apart for the intended worlds.” Nodding his permission Pael thought silence was best to fit this situation, he always did have a flare for the dramatic.

From the Coreworlds the Imperial garrison force departed for their destinations, within two days thousands upon thousands of worlds would be back under the Empires sphere of influence.

Section Three RE:~ Rebel Presence:~ Upon detection of any rebel force, commanders are to contact the fleet for reinforcements.

Section Four RE:~ Trade and Media:~ All trade and media is to be suspended until phase two is completed.

END NOTE:~

It is imperative that these worlds are secured quickly in order to halt the rebel efforts in the mid and outer rims. All commanders and squadrons who complete their objectives within the given time period will receive bonuses and extra leave.

Executor Super Star Destroyer.

Docking Bay Five was vast, it was one of the main hangers which housed the Executors ground assault fighters and vehicles, in the distance the heavy trudge of an AT-AT shook the ship slightly while the swarm of AT-ST’s was everywhere. The docking bay was perfect for small vehicle practice.

The Freeworld ship docked as usual and followed standard procedure perfectly, in the centre of the vast rows of storm troopers was the military mind behind the Galactic Empire, the leader of the Moff council and most trusted aide to Palpatine. Grand Moff Willian Blathe.
As the representative left her ship a small probe droid half way across the hanger secretly scanned her for weapons, the test was negative.

Moving forwards Blathe greeted her with a nod, he wasn’t quite prepared to shake hands or salute, after all the freeworlds were still technically classified as a rebellion.

"Grand Moff Blathe we've meet before I believe though never face to face." She told the man, they had been on opposite sides of numerous battle before she was wounded. "I do extend you my thanks for respecting the truce and allowing this opportunity for a parley. Perhaps there is a place less congested for us to talk about maters?" She asked the Moff.

Kartion then looked over his shoulder again, and nodded. He turned back.

"It seems a disturbing event has happened my friend. I'm afraid we're going to have to stick to mutual Non-Agression. I'll be over in a few day's time, good luck..."

With that, the channel closed, and Kartion sighed.

"Jorran, take a Shuttle to Coruscant, and negotiate a Non-Agression pact with the Empire. We can't afford to take sides now, and we need to get as neutral as possible. As soon as that's done, go to Da Soocha V and check up on the Militarisation. Apparently there's a group of Smugglers that have hijacked an important vessel, and it's important to the Government that they get it back. Can you do this my Apprentice?" He asked of his twenty seven year old Apprentice, without turning.

The dark haired Sith nodded and bowed. "Of course Master." Jorran said, before turning on heel and leaving.

_________________________________________________________________

Two Days later...

"Roger that control, and thank you." Jorran said. Easing the black Shuttle right a little, he went down the designated flight path, with a few TIE's flanking him. After a few minutes, Jorran broke through the atmosphere, and rolled to the left, heading for the Senate Pad. Easing the shuttle down gently, Jorran closed up the wings, and extended the Landing Gear. The Shuttle rocked a little, and the ramp to the Shuttle opened.

Jorran strode out, Lightsabre hidden under his flowing dark cloak. An aide greeted him, and informed him of the route. Jorran nodded.

"Thank you."

Jorran was a fine example of a new Sith. While powerful and sure of his abilities, he was very controlled and kept an eye on every surrounding. His eyes, however, bore into everyone he looked at. Many times back in the Academy, his friends had joked that he mimiced Kartion quite well.

Striding down corridors, Jorran felt himself get nearer, and after turning a corner, they arrived in front of the doors to the Throne Room. Jorran let out a small breath, and waited.

Alex sighed and shook his head. Old Order philosophy...

"If you haven't noticed already, we have a real threat: The Empire. None of us can fully overthrow the Empire, not when we're all scattered like leaves in the wind. But together, perhaps we might have a chance. Yes, Jedi and Sith. We will never be friends, of course, but allies of convenience will be the best choice for this galactic situation."

[Before Hawkins arrived]

"All right." Said Alex. "Non-Aggression it is."

And the deal was cemented.

"What good is a friend today, when he will only stab you in the back later!" Hawkins fist were clenched and trembling with hate.

"The Sith are ruthless, they are murderers, they let nothing stand in their lust for power. Palpatine has proved this time and time again. Sirus proved this when he murdered my fiancée, the betrayal of that Fiona committed cost the life of the man I considered a son, there will never be anything but hate between us...If your soul can forsake the memory of all those lost in our long struggle, you might as well piss on their graves!"

"People here consider me a member of ultra conservative thought in regards to the Force...yet may the force help me if I ever fight with a Sith! I can not comprehend the Jedi Code when the Councils actions desecrate all we have held so dear for so many years Alex!"

“Ill admit to falling to temptation at times, I if anything should be considered a Grey Jedi but once one becomes allied with the Sith themselves, their methods, their teachings the stain is permanent, the taint of the Dark Side can not then be removed.”

“What is the point of an ally of convenience when it their philosophy is so opposite what is morally right?”

Alex glared coldly. "You think I don't know that? You think I am blind to what the Sith can do, has done? You forget, Hawkins, of the old adage of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer. We cannot afford more enemies at this time, and you know it. If you want to make yet more enemies, then be my guest, but I will not drag what's left of Coredia down with you to oblivion."

"Who will drag whom to their death Alex. I would rather stand on my own against certain death then stand by the side of the group who murdered the only woman i truly loved, the woman who was bearing my child...If you yourself and the council can align itself, can identify a common cause between your nation and the Sith, then I believe the Coreworlds are not the nation I once respected so long ago."

Hawkins shook his head truly saddened by his statement, disappointed deeply at his own words, he hoped Alex or even Daniel would be able to refute them though he doubted he would. He continued now his voice low in volume but his tone was decisive.

We have been hit recently by the forces of the Empire and hit hard, but the Empire has withdrawn, instead of finally suing for a peace to buy our forces some time… what do you Cordians do? You attack and deep in Empire territory, and you’ve occupied Bastion at that.

Make no mistake Alex I have heard of the preferred tactics of your forces there. Your nation has forgotten why we fight. You are fighting a war of blind rage and emotion against that nation. In your crusade you have become like them, you are using dark tactics to defeat our oppressors. That goes against the teachings of the Jedi and the ideals of the Republic Alex. You accuse me of attempting to drag your nation down in flames, your actions will have the same result if only take more time to manifest. You are become the enemy you’ve fought for so long….”

Blathe nodded, “This way.” He said dryly. Passing along the vast hanger with a small escort in tow the Grand Admiral was most certainly not going to greet his enemy with any more kindness then he would a Wookie, but need musts and the emperors will was binding. Passing into an adjacent conference room the vast bustle of the hanger outside disappeared with the closing of the door, only the gentle shockwaves of AT-AT walkers was recognisable.

“Very well, now that we’re in private we can get to the point.” Blathe was brief, his tone strained, it was obvious that he didn’t relish the situation, not one bit. ”We both know that this parley is not due to our great affection for each other but it is in fact due to several other reasons.” Blathe paused. “Recent events have forced the Empire to rethink its strategic outlook, the recent destruction of several words is testament to the new policy, however there was a slight unforeseen after effect.” The Grand Admirals tone narrowed. “With the extermination of the Hutts primary worlds the Empire and other spacial forces have seen a drop in criminal activity by eighty percent, organised crime is falling throughout the Galaxy, but unfortunately with the eradication of the Hutt command chain there was a power vacuum left behind.” Blathe opened up a holo map of Hutt space visibly lacking two important worlds. Quickly the hologram turned from blue to red. “Imperial analysts had anticipated the remaining Hutt worlds and factions to spend the next fifty years fighting each other for domination of their little sector, however the war lasted a mere two days, it seems a previously undetected Sith Lord has taken advantage of the situation and carved a new “Sith Empire”.” The Hologram changed to the speech made by Kariton.

“This, Sith Empire is extremely disturbing, the emperor is most concerned by its policy to train so many force users in the dark arts, it is….. threatening to all concerned. That is why I’m here………..”

The Imperial Star Destroyer Heathen dropped out of Hyperspace but instead of an undefended and unsecured planet they found themselves facing an entire fleet. From either side of Jorran the gentle torch light flicked and distorted as two Imperial guards manifested themselves, nicely hidden by advanced holo-technology. Along their backs was, of course yarismalari, their force inhibiting nature perfect for removing a force adepts weapons.

“Your lightsaber please?” The monotone voice asked. “It will be returned upon your departure. “

Jorran had no choice but to unbuckle now, while handing his weapon over to one of the red robes the vast throne room doors opened and from them a clone trooper strode out, his helmet visibly displaying the number sixty-six. “How do you do?” Sixty-Six quipeed to Jorran before walking off into the distance.

“You may proceed.” Was the only answer the red robes gave before once again falling back under the shroud of their holo devices. Marching through the vast throne room Jorran would find at its end a lone, old and disfigured man watching…waiting……

Jorran strode forward, taking in the surroundings. He made careful notice of Palpatine, and was aware he was studying him. Jorran noted that there seemed to be no guards, but there were at least a hundred Force gaps outlining the Throne Room. He made careful note, and made sure to recall Unarmed Teras Kasi IV.

Stopping a mere meter away from the dias, Jorran bowed. He knew there was a shield directly in front of him, but that was an advantage as much as a disadvantage. The walls were Black Marble, and there were also pillars.

If I can just stay outside the range of the Ysalimari, if this goes bad, I might live...

Alicia considered the Admiral’s words because they held merit. In fact it was mostly the increase of a new consolidated nation within the former Hutt state that now brought her and her nation much heartache and potential for worry.

“Funny that, your Empire goes around swinging its mighty sledgehammer of Imperial force against a couple dozen weak worlds with rebel sympathies, killing millions and the only matter which concerns your emperor is that you happened to destroy the only planet which exerted some control over the morass of scum that used to lay dormant in Hutt Space. I wont lie the rebellion used to be supplied weapons and other supplies from the smugglers in Hutt Space and I fear those contacts may now be lacking. In your arrogance and indiscriminate use of force your nation has produced another enemy to your state, the only problem with that is that this state also has the potential to threaten mine…” Here dislike and hatred of everything the Empire stood for was clear in the embittered woman’s voice. “Now there exists two murdering states run by Sith in the galaxy…wonderful.”

A Crimson Shuttle came out of hyperspace. After a few moments, they recieved confirmation, and the Shuttle entered the atmosphere. After a few moments, the ship set down in Hangar Bay 239. The ramp on the underside of the ship came down and extended, and Kartion strode out, a few Sith behind him. He turned.

"Stay here and keep an eye on the ship."

Nodding at the Sith once he got the acknowledgements he seeked, Kartion walked out of the Hangar Bay. An aide greeted him, with a little fear. Kartion's eyes were sharp and red right now, indicating he was in a serious or angry frame of mind. Either way, his gaze was disconcerting and unsettling. The aide quickly guided him to Alex Masaki's stateroom. After a few moments, the aide entered, and announced Kartion.

Palpatine was old, his body now twisted and malformed from the darker arts of the force. How long he had been alive no one except the Dark Lord truly knew, however many speculated that the years were beyond counting.

“Welcome Jorran Ardax to the Galactic Empire.” Palpatine greeted with twisted and sharp words, his welcome forming a shrill silence as it dissipated into echo. Inclining his head just a little, two dark yellow eyes glimmered against the dim light of the chamber. “You, are here under another’s bidding, you are only a learner.” Palpatine observed with a remark that was as pointed as a lightsaber itself. “Tell me apprentice, why are you here? What does your master beg from the Empire, what does he need from me?” From behind the dark hood and shrouded amongst shadow, a thin smirk crept along the emperors lips.

“Do not use such crude words at me you rebel fool. The scum you so kindly speak of are not foolish, most will soon be under Imperial contract, they held no affinity for the Hutts, only their gold, bounty hunters are so predictable.” Blathe relished the point. “We both know that no one in this Galaxy, not even the emperor wishes to see the rise of a new Sith Empire. For all the “oppressing” the Galactic Empire supposedly does, we at least keep the peace. This Sith Empire will wage a war of brutal extermination, all they require is time……

I am here to prevent this, this Sith threat from ever occurring. The Farstars currently share a large border with Huttspace” The hologram flashed once again indicating the sphere of influences. “ Your border is only interrupted by Kessel and adjacent Imperial controlled sectors, I have authorisation to formally recognise your current territorial holdings, as well as open up limited trading with ship yards such as Kuat and Correllia. Such a move would benefit your rag tag force out there, however the emperor demands certain concessions from the Farstars.

In the event of war the Farstars will aide the Galactic Empire against this threat, and your government will cease all rebel and sabotage operations within the Empire itself.” Blathe almost spat out the words, he never though that he’d say the day when he would treat with a rebel, a murderer…. But Blathe was also aware of how overextended the Empire actually was, the recent operations had stretched the fleet impossibly thin and several hundred vessels had just been commissioned, it would unfortunately be at least three years before the Imperial Navy could even possibly contemplate waging a full scale war, three full years of uneasy peace with the enemy.

The Empires Strike Back?

Today, due to political pressures, the planets Tammar and Kegan agreed to join the Sith Empire. During the past few weeks, Sith activity has been stepped up, and there have been reports of vessels visiting the planets of Juria and Coruscant. Could this mean that the Sith are finally offering peace to the other powers, or is it a slippy political maneuver to get more territory, or to forge a new alliance against one of the other powers? We'll be keeping you updated on developments as they happen.

Also on GNN, we look at the Galactic Empire's remilitarisation of it's former planets...

"My Master sent me here to see if you would like to sign a treaty of Non-Aggression with us. Obviously with both our powers keeping firm hold of our territories, we wouldn't want any unneccessary, petty squabbes would we?"

Alicia fumed at the Admiral's words as most seemed to be cheap petty insults or Imperial interpretations of fact that glossed over the fact that they had in the past murdered so many innocents.

"Admiral” The word came out carefully stressing respect for the man’s rank if not respect for the man who wore the uniform or the ideology of the state it represented. “I have throughout this meeting afforded yourself with every courtesy deserving of a officer and gentlemen of your rank in the Imperial Navy. I had hoped that you would do the same for me, but if you feel the need to resort to petty insults then do not expect me to stand here and take them like some sort of prisoner you feel the need to lecture before her execution, sir.” The correct title for Alicia was Ms. Hamilton not, Rebel fool…

“As far as the conditions for this treaty I do not hold much appreciation for becoming a lapdog to fight the Empire’s wars for it. If there is to be a condition of mutual defense it would have to be specified that part of the treaty shall only be exercised in response to unprovoked attacks upon either of our nations assets. Also I believe that there should be some minimal conditions for the Confederacy to accept peace with the Empire mainly that your Death Star and Galaxy Gun shall no longer be used to destroy planets or otherwise render them inhabitable, also orbital bombardment in the form of DBZ shall also be declared outlawed, if there is to be any hope of cooperation between our two nations.

Kegan System
Galactic Rim

Commander Curtis Donagall stood under the tent of his mobile command center on the surface of Kegan. His unit the 32nd Confed Marines were deployed to establish a plantary defense system on the planet not a week earlier when all this trouble started with this new Sith Empire. The people of Kegan historical had been a repressed though not from the Empire. They remained independent throughout the years due to the systems remote location when compared relitive the galactic core. The people had only several days prior gained their independence from their own oppressive Elders Council, when they found out that their sovergnity had been betrayed to the Empire. Now the had no desire to surrender their recently found liberty to the Sith. They asked the only nation they could for help, The Confederacy of Free Worlds.

“Commander, sensors report positive contact on two Sith OSD’s they have entered the system and have deployed fighters.” The sensor operator stated evenly.

“Roger that Leftenant, Inform the Strife of the situation, activate the Shield and ground based batteries, and do inform the Kegan Government of the situation tell them to prepare for invasion should it come to that.” the Commander ordered coolly.

“Aye Aye sir,” the junior officer responded. The unit had not been on the planet’s surface long enough to erect anything close to a planetary shield but they had just barely enough time to emplace one to cover the planets capital and industrial center, as well as emplacing numerous planetary weapon defensives. Their most potent asset though undoubtedly was the vessel lying in the shadow of the planets only moon.

In Orbit
C.N.S Strife

A large ship would have slowly appeared from behind the solitary satellite in orbit of Kegan, it was a menacing form indeed. MC-90 Class Heavy Cruiser appeared from behind the moon its shields activate and its weapon emplacements active and warningly locked onto the lead OSD. Its complement of seven star fighter squadrons had or where in the process of launching. A communication was sent to the Sith Vessels.
“Vessels of the Sith Empire you have wantonly violated the sovereign space of the Independent System of Kegan. This system is currently a member of the Confederacy of Free Worlds and as such it enjoys that nations protection. Now if you have come to chat about the latest Grav-ball standings or enjoy some of the local swoop races you can enjoy the 48 hour port liberties of any neutral nation… However if your intentions are other wise I will have to ask you to leave this system and not come back. You have sixty seconds to reply, any further movement towards the planet after that time will be considered hostile intent and be responded to accordingly. Captain Henry Out.”

OOC: There is only one OSD there, one for each world.

IC: "Sir, communication from Confederacy Ship!"

Captain Ardas grunted.

"What are they doing here? Put it through..."

A voice came over some hidden speakers.

Ardas' eyes went wide.

"What in Dark Lord Kartion's name!?! Is this a joke! Communications, send a priority one message to Fleet Command, alert them of the situation and ask for orders! Helm, full stop! Tactical, bring turbolasers to bear on the Confederacy ship, but do not fire! Alert the Fighters to re-deploy, pattern delta! Make then form a protective barrier in front of us! And will someone activate Alpha alert!?!"

_________________________________________________________________

The TIE's reformed, and created a shield in front of the Crimson Blaze. It's Turbolasers were given minimal power, and they turned toward to Conferedacy ship. The Crimson Blaze stopped where it was, creating the illusion of a large shadow over Kegan.

Meanwhile, a message was sent to Fleet Headquarters on Klatooine...

_________________________________________________________________

"Comms! Alert the Confederacy ship that we have recieved their message, and are currently in the process of mounting a response!"

The Comm Officer nodded, and the message was sent to the Condeferacy ship.

Fleet Headquarters - Klatooine

Admiral Krath listened to the message, and grimaced.

"Looks like the Confederacy are contesting our borders. I'll get someone to contact Dark Lord Kartion and alert him to the situation. In the meantime, Comms, send this message:

To: Crimson Wraith
From: Order Fleet Command

Transcript: As far as we are aware, we legally hold Kegan. They agreed to join us, and mentioned nothing of the Condeferacy. Do NOT initiate hostilities. We have deployed four OSD's to the Tammar system. The Arduous and the Impervious however will be on standby there to jump in and assist if needed. Make it very clear that we hold this system, and that this is obviously a big mixup. Do not leave the system unless you have satisfactory reasons. Alert us if hostilities initiate, and may the Force be with you Captain.

One the message was sent, Krath nodded at the Sith General standing by his chair. The General sat down, and closed his eyes...

_________________________________________________________________

Kartion's eyes barely flickered as he recieved the telepathic alert. Keeping his calm, he agreed with the actions taken.

Alert me of developments as they come. I will see if we can get Imperial assistance. I'd rather share Kegan than lose it...

Blinking, Kartion sensed Jorran in the Emperor's Throne Room on Coruscant. He detected many Force gaps, but didn't find it too difficult to send Jorran a message.

We have problems. The Confederacy are trying to claim Kegan. I need you to relay this to the Emperor...

_________________________________________________________________

Jorran grimaced suddenly. He looked up at the Emperor.

"Emperor, I'm afraid a little development is arising in the Kegan system. The Confederacy are trying to claim it as their own...and they joined us willingly. However, we have doubts that they...will stand down. I have been authorised to offer you a deal which I'm quite sure you'll like. If you assist us in keeping the Confederacy away from our territories, and promise neutrality between our two powers...we'll share the Kegan system...with you. We'll be more than happy...to...let you establish a...Fleet Station and a Trade Hub there,"

Jorran eyes seemed to be reading invisable text, he frowned.

"And we'd also give you the location of...Juria?" he said, in part dis-belief and confusion. After a few seconds however, he nodded.

"This is a legitimate offer we're more than willing to make, Emperor."

Captain Ardas nodded at the Comm. Officer.

"Open a channel to the Confederacy ship!"

A few moments later, a small bleep sounded, and Ardas cleared his throat.

"Captain Henry, this is Captain Ardas of the OSD Crimson Blaze. We do not want to initiate hostilites. There has obviously been a territorial confusion. The government of Kegan has willingly pledged it's allegience to us, and spoke of no membership to your Confereracy, and therefore, we have to assume that this is our territory. We request that you stand down immediately, and standby. We wish to resolve this matter peacefully, but if you initiate combat, we will view it as an act of war, and will act accordingly. Captain Ardas out."

Another bleep sounded, and Ardas sighed.

"Tactical, how long would it take for the Arduous and the Impervious to reach us?"

"About ten minutes sir, if they already have the co-ordinates locked in."

Ardas nodded.

"Lets just hope the Confederacy act accordingly. We can't afford a war yet..."

"Captain Ardas perhaps I did not make myself clear, You have entered Confederacy territory not the territory of the Sith Empire. The current government has asked for annexation by the Confederacy, they have come to this end by realizing the betrayal of their nation to the Sith by the Former Elder Council. You will notice that the Elder Council is no longer in power on Kegan and as such any accords reach by that government are null and void. As such your presence is unwanted in this system. Now if you plan to have issues with the simple concept of sovereignty then I suggest you take the stick out of your almighty ass and do something about it. Ardas didn't respond, he just smirked.

"Signal Fleet Command that they won't stand down, and tell them that it'd be a good idea to bring in the cavalry, so to speak. If he doesn't want to do diplomacy, that's fine."

The Comm. Officer nodded, and sent off the message.

Admiral Krath smirked.

"Signal Captain Ardas, and alert him that we have reinforcements inbound. Also tell them they have one more chance to withdraw before we get nasty. And also alert the Impervious and the Arduous that they are to assist the Crimson Blaze."

Captain Ardus viewed the message.

"Alright, we have ten minutes until reinforcements. Helm, hold posistion, and be ready to fire up the engines on my command. Tactical, power up the Turbolasers to 50%. Comm., put me through."

A bleep sounded, and Ardus grinned.

"Maybe I didn't make myself clear Captain. Regardless of whatever political changes have happened recently on Kegan, they are still part of the Sith Empire until they formally send a request to leave. However, due to this action, it is not likely the Empire will pay any mind. And because of this, we are not leaving Captain. I am going to ask you politely, once more, to leave Kegan now. And taunts will not affect me either Captain, they just show how petty you are, and how foolish you are. Do you really want to risk the lives of your crew, and your ship, over a case of mistaken holdings over a territory?

Now, leave Captain Henry, before the Empire decides that you're making an act of war. Ardas out."

Palpatine rose his head slightly. “You have my agreement young apprentice, tell your master that he has peace. My guards outside will give you the necessary papers upon your departure.” Reclining back in his chair as if he were waiting for something Palpatine watched as Joran strained slightly.

The Sith learner talked, but his mind was not present, there was something else in the room, another presence from across the Galaxy, the new pretender Kariton. “Juai….” Palpatine lingered. “I must of course have proof that these coordinates you state are in fact Jurai…. If this is true then the Empire will accept your…. Offer.”

Blathe clenched, how could he allow his emotions to get the better of him, the circumstances were difficult, yes, but that was no excuse to forgo common courtesy. “Forgive me ambassador, times have been strained in the Empire, we have, as I’m sure you are doubtless aware undergone some very abrupt internal restructuring. My duties are becoming ever more stressful, and my pride, my pride in my nation and my office is all I now hold dear. And here I am, in my very own flagship, talking to the enemy, treating with whom, five minutes before I would have called enemy. My personal emotions are raging ambassador, I am after all only human. You may think of me as some great monster, but we have both killed ambassador, we have both caused the deaths of innocents, such is the nature of war. I can at least admit my sins, but your confederacy maintains its innocence, such naivety. Those worlds that recently perished ambassador, done so to maintain the greater security of the Empire, and that they have done. So many operatives of your nation, so many spies died, so many terrosits were exterminated. How many lives did we in the long term save? The long term benefits out weigh such minute costs Ambassador.

But as for your terms, these terms, I cannot allow. Imperial military procedures will not be governed by a simple treaty. The threat of a base delta zero is all that keeps warlords and other ruinous scum from open rebellion. Ambassador, I must reject your proposal, however perhaps we can reach a compromise. I will however agree to adhere to these conditions in application to worlds outside the Empire. On that you have my word. The rest I can accept….

Captain Henry stood on the bridge of his Squadron's flagship, he doubted anything he could say would give the Sith cause enough to leave this system. They were intent upon subjugating this system, it was a shame however the citizens of this system did not feel like living under an Empire's thumb.

"I do tire of these Empires, it seems that we are only remaining democratic state in the galaxy..." Henry said in a quiet voice... "Order in the remaining elements of the Squadron, and contact the ground ponders tell them to fire a warning shot..." The comms. officer acknowledged the order as he reopened a channel to the Sith ships,

Only a minute later two azure bolts of energy lance from the planets surface missing the lead OSD by a mere two hundred meters…

“Sith vessels perhaps I did not make myself clear, this system is no longer your domain. The People of the Rim are sick and tiered of Empires and Coreworlds thinking they have a mandate from god to rule all of known space. You are not welcome here, you have violated our sovereign space with ships of war, do not doubt the resolve of my crew or the crews of the other vessels under my command”

As if on cue no less then seven other Confederacy ships exited hyperspace, two were Alliance class Star Destroyers. Each of these vessels were slightly smaller then an Imperator class destroyer but each sported a new generation of reactors which allowed for the shield and weapon capacity of an Imp-Star deuce. Two other vessels were old Nebulon-B Escort frigates, there was a single Carrack class cruiser, and an ancient Assault Frigate which though outdated was as potent a threat as a Victory-class Star Destroyer. depart now while you still have the chance.

This is Commodore Henry of the 12th Battle Squadron of the ConFed Navy, Sith vessels you have ten minutes to live this system or by the force I will throw you out of it.” There could be no doubting his intent, the Sith would not be allowed to add another system to their ranks, not when good men stood ready to prevent that at all costs.

Palpatine concentrated upon Jorran brushing aside his primitive barriers with relative ease. Finding the connection that Kariton had made with his apprentice Palpatine followed it throughout the cosmos, stretching back towards the rebel stronghold, the location now known, the coordinates authenticated.

“The Executor will be in Kegan as soon as possible.” Palpatine smirked. “You have my leave to go.” Nodding to a guard Palpatine gave a silent order for the appropriate message to be sent to Admiral Blathe. It would be a few hours before the communiqué reached him, but battles usually lasted days, and the Executor would at least arrive in the middle of an onslaught.

Jorran bowed, and turned on heel. Collecting the neccessary papers and his Lightsaber, he quickly went to his ship, and took off.

Kartion grinned, and suddenly went ghostly. After a few moments, he was on the ship.

"C'mon, it's go time Warriors!" He called. His Sith accompliances jogged into the Shuttle. Quickly activating the Engines, Kartion retracted the Landing Gear, and spun the Shuttle. Hitting the throttle, the Shuttle shot out of the hangar, and flew away from Juria...

"They DARE!?! How long until reinforcements arrive!?!"

"Five minutes sir."

Ardas smarted.

"Alert Command of the situation, tell them to send a few more ships..."

Admiral Krath groaned.

"We now have more hostiles at Kegan. Comms., call up three more OSD's, try and make sure that they're nearby, and..."

"And our newfound allies will be joining us soon..."

Krath turned to the Sith General. The General grinned.

"The Executor, the Empire's SSD, is going to go to Kegan and assist. We just need to stay their hand until the Executor arrives, if we don't do away with them ourselves..."

Krath nodded.

"You heard him. Alert Ardas that in ten minutes he'll have another three OSD's reinforcing him and the other two we sent, and also alert him of our new Political stance..."

_________________________________________________________________

Ardas' eyes lit up. Two minutes to go until reinforcements, and seven minutes until they blew them up. They would be alright...

"Helm, hold our exact posistion. Tactical, charge the weapons to 100%, divert power from all non-essential systems to the Shields. In two minutes we'll have some backup, so we just wait until they arrive..."

Ardas read the transmission again.

"And...our backup's backup will be coming out of hyperspace behind the Confederacy Forces...looks like we're doing a pincer flank..."

_________________________________________________________________

After a couple of minutes of peace, two OSD's jumped in behind the Crimson Blaze. Ardas grinned.

"Alright people, in eight minutes the rest of our forces will jump in. It is unknown when the Executor will arrive. Helm, bring us to bear. Tactical, on my command, fire at will. Helm, alert the other ships we're pulling Attack Pattern Beta, and tell them to pick their targets and go."

As soon as all the transmisions were sent and all the maneuvers pulled, the three OSDs were facing, head on, the Confederacy Forces. All the TIE's had pulled back behind the OSDs, to keep out of the way.

Ardas sighed.

"Comms., open a channel."

Another bleep sounded.

"Captain, I'm warining you, we will consider this an act of war. I am giving you a final chance to leave, before we have no choice but to defend our sovereignty. You know as well as I do that we cannot afford a war between our two powers. You have enough space as it is. Leave now, I urge you, you don't know what you're getting into..."

Ardas nodded, and athe channel closed.

"Lets just hope they don't get cocky..."

He did not want to reveal that he had more then one vessel under his command initially...A Commodore is a rank given to the senior captain who commands more then one vessel such as is his right by naval tradition. So when he brought in the other vessels under his command he used the rank due to him.

Things are indeed getting more interesting by the minute… the Commodore thought to himself as he watched the Sith force he faced in orbit more then double in strength.

"Fleet orders, Launch all fighter and bomber wings have them assemble by squadron and prepare for space superiority and anti-ship sorties. Contact Major Donagall on the surface and have his Ion battery prepare to target Captain Ardas’ flagship…” the commodore ordered before he opened a communications channel to the Imperial flag once again.

"Sith Vessels, to claim sovereignty in a system your government must have the ability to affect their will in that system. You can not do that here, by government can. Your claim of rightful sovereignty to this system is thus false. You have now five minutes to leave the system, but know that any attacks upon the vessels of my command or failure to withdrawal from this system in allotted time span will be viewed as an act of war...and shall be responded to in kind. Commodore Henry...out."

Even with their reinforcements the Confederacy’s flotilla held the advantage. Firepower wise both fleets were relatively equal. But the Confederacy had been at work for entire decades before the Sith empire even became a nation. The were battle-hardened veterans of a war against a superior opponent, it would be folly for the Sith to test their resolve and skill at warcraft…

Ardas bit his lip, and watched as the Confederacy Fleet moved into posistion. He knew who the Confederacy were, and he'd only been at this job for a couple of years, and rarely had he entered a mass skirmish.

"Alert me the second those reinforcements join us! Comm., open a channel!"

Ardas heard a bleep, and smiled.

"Commodore, I'm afraid you are mistaken. We can, indeed, affect this system, and don't think otherwise for a moment. If you have spies in our Empire, then the information they have fed you is in great error. I am tired of warning you, so I'm not going to bother. However, if you do not leave Kegan in four minutes, we will regard your intentions as hostile, and we will assume that you are commiting an act of war. Don't be a fool, we can't afford to squabble at this fragile time, the Empire will surely benefit from a war between our two powers. Captain Ardas out."

Ardas heard another bleep, and then groaned.

"Keep us poised, and keep the Punishers at bay. Under no circumstances shall we fire upon the Confederacy Fleet until the time I've set is up, or if they fire on us. Relay this to the other ships, and keep your fingers poised. We might have to pull a quick maneuver any second now."

Time was about up, and the Sith did not seem to be wanting to relinquish there illegitimate claim to this system. His hand was forced then, Henry could not leave the system in the hands of the Sith, he would not Leave the system in the hands of the Sith, no there would be a fight of it, there had to be a fight of it.

“Two minutes sir…” The voice of his chief of staff reported to him. Commodore Henry had long since moved to the Flag Bridge of his flagship. Where a battle bridge had comprised of the captain of a vessel, his watch, and equipment and stations necessary for fighting a ship his Flag bridge held all the equipment and personnel necessary for coordinating the fire and maneuver of the eight ships of his Squadron. A commodore had no place fighting his single ship, he was better concentrating on the flotilla’s as a whole, it was a lesson learned that had kept the meager forces of the Rebel Alliance going for so long.

“Fleet orders…the Reliant and Rebel Dream will concentrate their fire on the second OSD in their formation along with the main batteries from this flagship. Simultaneously the two Ion Batteries on the Planets surface will lay suppression fire upon the lead OSD presumed to be their flag, attempting to cripple the vessels while severing their command and control links. The Atonement” Henry said identifying the old assault frigate will attempt to get around the enemies flank along with the Quickstrike” he said Identifying the Carrack class cruiser. “ Our Nublon’s will remain close by to ward off their fighters should they attempt to close. That is all” Henry concluded his brief as he heard his orders repeated before being sent out the various commanders of his squadron. It was a simple plan, have the big guns concentrate on a single OSD in hopes of crippling her soon in the engagement and to have their Ion batteries attempt to sow confusion by crippling the enemy Flag. “Send Captain Richards my compliments and tell him that he may begin his maneuver now.” Henries ordered the Assault frigate to begin its maneuver a full forty seconds before the end of the ultimatum.

The assault frigate and cruiser moved swiftly in an sweeping motion behind the OSDs if allowed to complete their maneuver these units would have a perfect enfilade position from which they could pour fire into the enemies engines.

“All units This is the Commodore, the Sith stand before us and they put on a fine show of imperialistic subjugation and wonton ruthlessness. We did not fight for decades against the Empire only to relinquish our neighbors to the brutality and oppression of another Empire, and this one comprised entirely of the sadistic sith. We know our duties and we shall defend this ground to day because it is the right thing to do regardless of any consequences it could wrought upon ourselves. Remember we shall not fire the first shot today , but by the force if these Sith mean for a fight let them start it and we shall end it! Commodore Henry out.” His speech to the troops only one thing was left, he entered a message using a keypad and transmitted it to the hanger bay. Seconds later a small probe left the ship before entering hyper space it bore a small insignificant message, but vital nonetheless.
