The entire government assembled officially for the first time tonight, as it is the official day the manmade island nation ,officially The Principality of Richieopolis, was completed (the island is named after the late King Richard III, the man who created the idea of this nation where all people can live together peacefully). The expensive effort paid off, as Prince Richard IV is having this celebration
(The term Prince is used ceremonially, as his first act of office Prince Richard IV abolished all of the monarchy‘s power and replaced the monarchy with a democracy, the interim President is Elaine Tompkins -the head lawyer to make sure that the operation is legal- and the interim Prime Minister is John Johnson -the chief architect on the construction of the island- both chosen by Prince Richard IV until elections can be held two years later [The President is elected on the ninety-second day of the even numbered year and the Prime Minister is elected on the ninety-second day of the odd numbered year.]. [The difference between the President and the Prime Minister is that the Prime Minister handles all the domestic affairs and the President handles the foreign affairs.])
The temporary heads of the Parliament were there also there.
(The Parliament has three houses, the least important one is for the residential complexes {OOC similar to apartment buildings OOC IC} -each building had three representatives- , the middle one is for the islands [the nation is a continually growing mass of deliberately sunken ships, with buildings grown on them. OOC similar to the way the real life country Sealand was built OOC IC} The islands are connected by bridges that can hold the weight of a garbage truck. Each island has ten residential complexes on it and two commercial complexes {OOC similar to Wal-Mart OOC IC}] each island has three representatives- the final house is also for the islands , but is given by population .)
The ministers and all of the government were here for this day. As the over 500 members of the Richieopolis government were seated in the hall, talking. Suddenly, four trumpeters came in through a side door, and the room went quiet as they played a fanfare announcing His Royal Highness Prince Richard IV and Her Royal Highness Prince Sarah with the other important people in government, followed by a small military force of about 70 men (this was about half of Richieopolis’s military, the others were out on the island or in boats, so no terrorists would come.)
Prince Richard IV said,
“Congratulations!” There was an applause. “The day that we have waited seventy-five years for has come!” There was another applause. “I remember when my father’s dreamed about this when I was a little boy and he told me tales, and how everyone thought he was crazy, even mom. ” There was a silence when Prince Richard IV wiped a tear off his eye. “Well when I was thirty and married with my beautiful wife building started” There was an applause “Five years later my dad died” The prince was starting to cry when he was talking. “Father, I hope I made you proud.” A beautiful silence filled the room. The prince saw the expressions on the people in the room and decided to say something happier. “Good job everyone and God bless Richieopolis!” There was an extravagant applause as Prince Richard IV sat down and took a sip of his champagne. As the applause died down Princess Sarah stood up to make her toast.
“Well I do not know much about this country, I have been here for a week, so you have done a good job!” There was also an extravagant applause. When the applause died down again President Elaine Tompkins stood to speak
“This is to all leaders of the nations of the world. I would like to invite all of the leaders of the nations of the world to come here to celebrate the completion of this land. Please attend this banquet. All leaders of the nations of the world can either stay at the temporary guest suites or set up permanent diplomatic relations. After the banquet the Ministry of the Treasury representatives will be handing out mint condition sets of the Richieopolis dollar.” There was an extravagant applause.
