Annual "Great New Crystal Isles Nifer Hunt" Announced.
The annual Nifer Hunt will kick off today, and the Chancellor has once again invited all world leaders, their families and their inner circles and cabinets to come to Crystal Isles to participate. The Annual Nifer hunt was first established in the mid 20th century as a venue for world leaders to socialize and have some fun with a bit of friendly competition. It is also a chance for poorer nations to come home with a bit of food. Nifers are highly abundant in the many rainforests of the Republic, therefore enough meat to feed a small city can easilly be harvested.
The Nifer Hunt is the only time of year sport killing and consumption of meat are permitted in the Republic of New Crystal Isles. In fact at the end of each day during the week long hunt, a festive barbecue is hosted where hunters can cook their Nifers.
The minimum age for participation in the hunt is thirteen years of age, however there are plenty of activities for the kids such as a Nifer petting zoo, color the Nifer, where kids must cover a Nifer in paint (usually ends in interesting results) and a game of pin the tail on the Nifer, where participants have to pin a tail onto a live Nifer. Free trinkets for all winners coutresy of the One Digital Credit or Two store. So bring the kiddies down!
For the adult hunters there will also be a beer garden, one of the occasions where beer is served cheaply in the republic, and the infamous drunken barn dance which takes place in an abandoned plantation close to where the campgrounds and other activities are being held.
Hunters may bring only the following weapons: Handguns, semiautomatic sniper rifles, shotguns, and Fully automatic assault rifles. For hunters who can't afford a weapon, a SAR-21 assault rifle may be rented for a fee of DC500. Hunters may also trap Nifers and sell or keep live specimens. However, half the price obtained from selling Nifers must be returned to the Republic.
It is considered bad sportsmanship to use recon aircraft to find Nifers during the hunt.

The Nifer is the national animal of the RNCI. They resemble a female human with large eyes, pointed cat-like ears and long hair which is usually white, blue, pink or green in color. During the mating season their mating call which is a distinct Yiff sound can be heard all over the country.
No male species have been found therefore the mating habits are largely unknown, however, they have been seen making tackle-embracement action to other members of the species while displaying passionate emotions and signs of excitement.
So all world leaders, come on to the warm sunny Islands of the Republic of New Crystal Isles, bring your kids, your cabinet and go out there and join the fun.
