To compensate for this, the designers add two torpedo tubes, however the torpedoes cannot be reloaded in-flight. The Augustus can also service as a tug as it carries a ring of heavy tractor beam emitters on the fringes on the two armored shells.

The Patriarch-class destroyer is a ship meant to take on both capital ships and fighters. Due to Magnetic Recycler technology, each of the four fixed-position Mass Accelerators can each fire a three round burst of 400-ton steel shells every 30 seconds at nearly ¼ the speed of light. These shells can pass through most absorbent-based shielding technology because of their shear mass, however disintegrator and reflective shields (such as the plasma shields on this destroyer) can shrug of six or seven with ease.

Also equip are eight fast-tracking laser turrets. With advanced tracking software, these turrets are meant to keep fighters and light corvettes at bay. They aren’t very powerful, but can keep a constant stream of fire on a target.
