1241 hours: Several dozen transport planes make landfall in the blessed Chris's outpost on war island, codenamed Outpost Omega.

The informed eyes of Comissar van Heugen, nominal commander of the operation, scanned the landscape arrayed before him, and concluded that it was essentially condusive to a strong defensive outpost. He opened a link to his direct inferior, Captain Jarinsk, and spoke into the mouthpiece of his HUD unit; " Jarinsk, this is van Heugen, ensure that pre-fabricated walls are arrayed around our position in a concentric pattern, 15 km diameter. I want desolator guns every 50 metres, command dugouts every kilometre, and basilisk artillery dug in immediatly."

Confidant in tha capacity of the captain to orchestrate his orders, van Heugen returned to the comforting air of his command bunker complex, smiling despite himself, envisaging the conflict that would proceed.

Van Heugen had remained by the communications interceptor unit for several hours now, the absence of any combat compelling him to do so, and beyond discerning several irrelevant minor civil wars, he had discovered nothing that concerned his immediate conflict. The sudden arrival of fresh, frigid air implyed a new presence in the room, and van Heugen wheeled around on his chair to observe tha armoured figure of Cpt.Yankovitch, his direct inferior in this operation. He only hoped that the observant captain may be of more use than the rudimentary communications array he had established.
