The Machinists

I decided to make an antagonist for TCS and other nations that was lossely based on Stalkers from Mortal Engines and Necrons from 40k, as well as the machines from The Matrix.
*Walker flipped his flashlight up toward the vents. That was the third noise in four minutes. He opened the hatch and motioned the rest of the crew to raise their flashlights. Three Green Dots shone in his eye, a metal skull illuminated by them. A flash of metal and a splash of blood. Walker slid onto the ground, his throat severed. One of the men drew a civilian Las Pistol and fired. into the vents. From his feet bursted a hideous metal skeleton, screeching with a voice that sounded like metal-on-metal. The thing grabbed his legs and jerked him under, the man screamed and fired, but the thing cut his head off and grabbed it, taking with him and fleeing. The first one sliced a man's belly open and gouged the eyes out of another, readying his bloody fingers, he lept at the other, but missed. The man hurridly ran into the hallway and shouted, the shout mutating into a scream. The walls were covered with bodies, while a lone Guardsman fired into an advancing machine, and severing the head of another, they seemed to spawn from the very walls. A metallic screech sounded from behind the worker. He sprinted fowards, to the guardsman, but the man had run out of ammo, and was fighting with one bayonet against many knived fingers. The guardsman hacked one in half, stabbed another through the head with a grunt, and cut a large red wire on another, making it fall to the ground twitching and screaming. The worker fled out of the door, just in time to watch the guardsman die a grisly end. Above him stood a 10-foot tall 4-legged machine. It's glaring eye fixed upon him, two chainguns at it's side. It screeched and fired a hail of bullets at the man, his last sight a single ship fleeing, a burning colony in ruins.*
