Chaim Weizmann Elected for Second Term

President Chaim Weizmann was today elected into office to fulfill his second term, he was praised on his efforts to secure friendly relations with national leaders, and on his peaceful handling of Communist events, the people celebrated this acheivment with a large celebration throughout the streets of Tel Aviv, but behind the smiles was a troubiling result, the Poalei Zion, a left wing party, has gained seats from when Chaim was first elected to this day, this has not sparked too much of a problem as they still remain a minority party.

Construction begins on Tel-Aviv university

most Jewish immigration to the United States actually occured before quotas were put in place in the 1920s... and it was almost all from Poland and Russia... at this time there are more Jews in the United States than anywhere else except for maybe Russia and Poland. So yes, the American Jews have a lot of political and financial muscle. The US hasn't recognized New Zion primarily because it isn't clear if it is actually a country, or an self governing region that is part of Argentina. At least in the eyes of the US State Department.

On a historical note, the State Department and Congress refused to lift quotas even during the 1930s and 1940s when it was clear what Hitler had in mind for the Jews. The book "Voyage of the Damned" will make you weep at the lack of foresight shown by the US government during this period.

as War begins to break across the globe Chaim Weizmann makes a statement that New-Zion will NOT engage in hostile activities claiming that "our military is far too small and too weak to make a mark in this conflict, our nation is also too small and we will have lost all that we worked for to gain!" Secret IC:

General Bacerra, the commander of the Bolivian military, reveiws the story of a coup in New Zion with much interest. He is watching the situation intently. Bacerra begins to plan his own coup. With the support of the army, and a sutible cause to keep the people from resisting, he beleives he has a good chance to take over the government. He thinks to himself, "Republics are allways at war within themselves, wether it is durring debate, or at the point of a bayonet. For a country to be succesfull, it must be a unified force."

Argentina offers Zion the integration of Zion Ground Forces into the Argentine military for the duration of the War. The proposed integration would comprise one Corps, made up of Argentine and Zion soldiers with a Argentine CO and a Zion XO. This unit would be deployed to the Theater of Zion's choice, with Argentina suggesting Southern Africa, Home Garrison Duty, Japan, or Britain as the prefered deployment zones.

Unfortunately, Argentina does not at this time have enough of an industrial compacity to grant Zion any assistance in production of its own, however that will be hopefully remedied in the future months.

We will most gladly fight side by side with our neighbours the Argentinians, we respect the fact that you cannot spare any production resources, afterall there is a war on, I hope that our combined forces can bring us both into victory.

The Argentine military command is preparing the mobilization of what they are now refering to as the Corps de Christo-Judeo (CCJ). Existing command structures are difficult to change, and with a lack of Argentine industry, all of the forces should be equipped, trained and organized by mid-1926. The forces will be trained in Terra del Fuego.

At the moment, suggestions for deployment are fowarded to the military command in Zion:

Italy (Many of the Argentine side of the Corps are Italian-Argentine immigrants)
Afghanistan (British forces there may need assistance)
South Africa (Argentina has promised an additional Corps to South Africa, should they need it for further attacks)
Japan (Requests have been made for an Argentine Expeditionary Force to be deployed to Japan)

IC: The British War Cabinet requests that perhaps the Zionist forces could be placed in the Afghanistan/India theatre of operations? we could use all the help we can get there and the Pact forces have very nearly overun the entirity of Afghanistan and left much of the Indian army shattered and very fragile. The British regular forces in the area are hard pressed and another retreat seems imminent. Britain thanks Zion for any help it can offer.

We would gladly assist another LTA nation but currently our forces are merged with that of Argentina, we would recomend that you ask Argentina telling them of our approval and then they will accept or deny the request pending.

Argentina OK's the deployment. They'll be formed in Early 1926, and will be on station ASAP once formed. Try to hold out till then.

Spooty: Sorry I thought I had already, I must have forgotten to do so. In which case assume recognition has been announced since you joined the LTA.

Manarth: Britain thanks the Argentinians for their cooperation in this matter and looks forwards to fighting alongside our allies once more, especially since the heroic victory at Madagascar.

Both: British Empire forces will try to hold out until assistance can be found and will follow a tactic of progressive withdrawals in the face of enemy superiority and only engaging the enemy when terms favour the Allies. This will continue until sufficient forces reach India to halt the Pact attack and then counterattack and push them back into Russia.
