Struggle for the Preservation of Ignorance (FT/MT, semi open, Attn Chronosia)

Among the stars lay a planet untouched by interstellar travel, a people ignorant of the much larger community they belonged to. This planet was Earth...
As per Kazeci policy, nothing of the outside but a cloaked probe lay in the system. It sat silently for years, watching, learning. They would not interfere with this civilization until they had advanced far enough. Unfortunately this idealism would soon come to an end as they struggled for the Preservation of Ignorance

Prime Minister Alexander Musollini was relaxing in the Blackhouse, the mansion of the leader of the United Provinces of Ceneda. As he sipped a glass of sherry, while watching an Acne Cartoon. As the mouse ran into it's hole, while the cat smacked into the wall he thought back on the day.
He'd had to deal with a few problems, what with a religious group protesting the lack of abortion clinics, the opposition demanding less gun control, and a group insisting that all people be married to only one other person. He'd also had to review the budget, as the military complained it was being over-paid.

Richard sat at a desk surrounded with holographic displays. Sector reports from a hundred sectors passively blinked all around him. He listened to wordless music with a catchy beat, slowly bobbing his head. Suddenly a franticly blinking, bright red icon appeared in front of him. He pulled his feet down and stood, hunching over the report that now sat before him.
"...Advanced technology detected in sector... High probability of Chronosian origin... Sector has been deemed off-limits... contains primitive life... Must not interact..."
He immediately contacted his supervisor.

a small ovoid object, roughly 10m in length, emerged from subspace, on the farside of the system, and after surveying several planets and moons, reentered subspace, only to reapear a few minutes later and settle into a high orbit of a small planet with signs of inteligent life and an unrecognised energy signature somewhere in nearby. The object changed its appearance to mimic its surroundings and began to analyse local transmissions and scan nearby debris

Worlds; worlds are mere trinkets within the Imperium; currency; traded at will; all under supreme control of the Emperor. This world; a primitive world compared to the glory of the Imperium, glimmered in the void; the blue light emanating from it; tucked far from its blazing sun, contrasted deeply to the crackling crimson energies that surged and hissed about the Chronosian vessel.
"Status" A voice hissed; and Cabot, turning to regard his crew, smirked softly. His face and body were marred with countless scars; his armor plated and marred; his weapons sharp and clearly well maintained, covered in mottled flecks of dried blood.
"My Lord; we have found a world within this sector that is to an extent civilised, yet clearly not to our level."
"Excellent; proceed. We shall see what this world has to offer; and then claim it for Khorne. We shall draw recruits from the fold and they shall be converted; they shall taste the glory of Chaos; and they shall fall before us, their living Gods."
"In the name of the Four powers"
"And may the Blood God bring us Victory..."
"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"
OOC: Hmm... Chronosia, could you maybe send a message to us other FT-nations who are your friends? It´d be kind of weird if we just happened to be at the same place.
Chronosia

"Allies of the Imperium; those who swear allegience to the Four Powers, and invoke us as allies; we have discovered a new world. An Ignorant world. A World that knows nothing of the vast oceans of blackness beyond, save the ball of light they inhabit. We shall claim it; we shall reap the spoils of this world; in resource; in populous; all for the glory of the Imperium! Come; join us, and we shall gladly share the spoils of our great victory; our...Conquest...."
"Sonaj will answer the call of great Chronosia, and aid their honourable task in any way we can.
Glory to chaos!"
With that, the Emperor and his personal fleet set off towards the ignorant planet.
"We, the nation of Ageaol, ally to Chronosia, shall send aid to our friend to conquer this planet inhabited by meaningless primitives. To victory!"
The Primarch sent out a small fleet to the planet.
OOC: Is this the same Earth as the MT nations are on? If so this might be awkward because I control some land there....
Kazecistan
25-08-2005, 04:36
ooc: yes, this is the MT Earth.
Oh, and MT players, you may want to go ahead and begin unofficial alien sightings.
Ic: It wasn't an hour after the Chronosian ship arrived that its move was countered by a Kazeci super cruiser. It took precautions so as not to be noticed by the primitive inhabitants with their light telescopes and radio waves.
A harsh message was sent to the ship, the voice was angry.
Chronosian vessel: Leave this space and do not return. This world and it's ignorance is under Kazeci protection. You may not interfere with their path. This is your only warning.
Chronosia
25-08-2005, 04:44
"Their path? And by protecting them do you not also interfere with that path? Pathetic creatures; we were lords of Terra centuries before our borth; blood runs in our veins from the oldest Earth. We are not some fools to be bandied about by your words. We are the Imperium"
The ship stopped; shields crackling; weapons hissing.
"And we are not ones to trifle with; the will of the Daemon Emperor is not that to be trifled with..."
Alexander was relaxing in his easy chair, jotting down the events of the day.
"Let's see," He commented as he thought back and put pen to paper.

Today I went to my daughter's baseball game. Score 7-0. She managed to throw a no-hitter, as well as a getting a grand-slam. Attended my son's science fair. His work on demonstrating acid rain earned him a gold medal, and acceptance into the state science fair. I'm so proud of both of them.
In the tabloids, one of my little guilty pleasures, there appear to be a rush on alien sightings. I guess tis the season of little green men.
Lastly, my wife's been hinting that she has something she want's to show me so it's off to bed.
Closing the diary, he got up and headed to bed.

The Kazeci ship’s energy shielding had been up since arrival, but they now activated their magnetic particle shielding and weapon systems. The ship moved into a more threatening posture and its power output increased.
This world is protected so that they may develop without outside influence until such time as they are ready. They are far from ready. I say again, leave this system, it is ours. The voice continued to grow in power and anger as it went on. We are not so week minded as to simply leave a world we have protected for centuries at your command. Do not take us for a weak people, for you shall be unpleasantly suppressed.
Shortly thereafter, the Sonaian Ninth Fleet, The Emperor´s Guardsmen, arrived not far from the Chronosian ships.
"We have arrived, honoured ally. We shall help you bring glory to Chaos in any way we can."

Ic: "Sir, there are many more ships inbound. They appear to be Sonaj."
"Confirmed sir, the ships are Sonaj."
"Put a call through to command from my office, transport me there now." The captain’s body dematerialized as he finished his last words.
After arriving, the Fleet Admiral speaks. "What's the situation out there?"
"The Chronosian are refusing to leave the sector and it looks like they have other nations coming to their aid. An entire fleet of Sonaj ships just arrived. We can't do this alone. Send in a fleet."
"You know that would be against the policy, we can't let them know that they aren't alone-"
"There's a whole fleet of ships out here, none of which are planning to hide them selves! The people must know something is up by now!"
"If, say, we were to bring in a fleet; how would a galactic battle right over their heads appear? That would certainly go far beyond bending the rules."
"We must talk to these people, let them in on what's happening-” The captain was cut off as a grand admiral walked into view on the other end.
"No. Absolutely not. You will not make contact. You'll have your fleet, but you will not under any circumstances make contact." He said with a finality that put to rest any challenge. The fleet admiral's eyes said sorry as he switched off the connection from behind this new, more powerful speaker.
Moments later an assault fleet consisting of 2 Heavy Battle Carriers, 6 Super Cruisers, and 9 Torpedo Ships entered the system. They moved to make a defensive barrier between the planet and the intruders. Their weapons and shields were running at full power.
Leave the system. You will not be given another chance.
ooc: If you wish, for this RP only, you may discount those claims, pretend they never existed.
OOC: I think it would be much more fun to have the ignorant people beat you up.
IC: A small fleet launched from the Mount Thera spaceport. They activated their engines and phased into space near Mars. The fleet consisted of 3 Class Loralca cruisers, 10 Class Molqaer Frigates, and 15 Class Exustio Corvettes.
To Our Ally: Chronosia
We have arrived to aid you against Kazecistan
The Emperor looked upon the happenings, and was very pleased. The power of Chronosia, Sonaj and Ageaol far surpass the strength of the Kazeci forces.
"Admiral: Show no sign that our fleet is not combat ready, act as though we were fully armed and not in progress. If I even get the feeling they know we aren´t fully prepared, you shall be punished."
"Yes sir", the Admiral responded. Being specifically created for this purpose, he knew how to act. Boldly.
We leave when we want to, or our allies wish us to. We will not step down.

Marshal, Victor Halbertan, "We must prepare the forces, in case it is hostile, what ever it is."
Press Secretary, James Cormain, "I would advise that you preform a press statment, to deal with any possible fears the people may be experiancing."
"Does anyone else have any suggestions at present?" Alexander asked the assembled council. When there were no answers, he continued, "Here is what we will be doing. The captain of the original ship spoke with the general now in charge of the mission. "Sir,"
"Simon, please, could we do with out the 'sirs' for a while? We've been friends since before The Awakening." The General’s tone was sincere.
"Creighton," he responded, "What are we to do? We cannot win in a contest of strength, the whole of the Kazeci Navy's might could not stand up to these foes."
"Bluff. Remember how I always beat you in that stupid card game? I never had good cards." Creighton was patient with his less successful friend.
"But this is different! We're playing for more than a few credits; we're playing for our very lives!"
"And the lives of many a Kazeci, and those of the innocent people on the planet, and even those of the crews of the ships around us. I know. I have thought this through." His voice was solemn. "It is the only option. Push and hope that they will give." He quickly turned the subject to business. "I am taking command of this operation as of now."
"But you can't! I was here first! Creighton!"
"No, Simon, I can. I must. I out rank you." He continued through Simon's protest. "You will retain command of your ship, but that is all. I'm sorry." With that, he left.
Bridge of the command ship
"Sir! Unknown fleet arriving in extremely close proximity, 3 cruisers, 10 Frigates, and 15 Corvettes."
"Lock weapons, and charge them."
"Weapons are already charged, sir."
"All ahead ramming speed! Didn't you ever play chicken as a child?"
"Chicken, why yes sir, but, with starships?"
"Do it!" He barked at the young ensign who quickly shrank away.
The fleet began to move towards the new fleet, slowly gaining speed.

Ageaol, phasing into orbit around the planet would be phasing into the middle of my fleet, which is protecting it. I also wish to remind you that this thread requires you to sign up before entering, which you haven't done. I must ask you to leave unless you are part of one of the alliances already involved.
OOC: I'm part of the GE with Chronosia. All of orbit is covered by your fleet? I did not know that.. I'll edit my post to say I arrived a distance from your fleet near Mars. Unless your fleet also covers Mars too...
IC: "Umm the Kazeci Fleet appear to be attempting to ram us Master." said Lornal from within one of the Loralca Cruisers.
"Active engines. Bring us out of their range." Lazarus said. The fleet vanished from the path of the Kazeci fleet and reappeared off to the side.
"Prime Minister, The head of the DSOLOC wishs to speak with you, he claims it is important."
"Send him in Maria." Alexander said as his brow furrowed, while it might possibly be good news, Murphy was a near and dear friend.
As Ryan entered Alexander stood to meet him.
"Alexander, we have a problem."
"What is it." Alexander asked
"The UCPs are definates. They also appear to be fighting amongst each other."
"Damn you Murphy." Alexander cursed, as he thumbed the intercom, "Maria, get me Halbertan, and Cormain."
When the Press Secretary and Marshal arrived, Alexander had the head of the DSOLOC explain the situation. "Halbertan, we're at Red One now. Cormain, organise a conference, full channel spread."
"Sir."
"Prime Minister." The two said as they turned and left.
Across every channel/radio station based in Ceneda, Prime Minister Alexander Musollini appeared.
"My fellow citizens of the world." Many people turned to the listen as this unusual sentance caught thier attention, "There are now confirmed reports of non-terrestrial intelligences more commonly refered to as UCPs, or Unidentified Counter Physicals. I am thus force to declare martial law, there is now a curfew. Anyone found outside thier residences before 8 A.M. and after 7 P.M. will be imprisoned. I have informed the goverments of the rest of the world, and will be doing all in my power to safe-guard both this land and it's citizens." He turned to Ryan. "This is Ryan McCormick, head of the Deep-Space Observation and Low Orbit Control to provide information. The local goverments shall be briefed on procedure and they shall provide all information on to you."
OOC: Tch, my guys are very terrestrial. Some of them still live in Earth.
OOC: Ageaol, this is NON-VIOLENT.

ooc: We are bluffing, remember. We would not injure another ship in the area, and you will not do so either. But, thanks to the wonders of IC knowledge separation, we all are afraid of war. I'm simply throwing some nonexistent weight around.
Ic: "Sir, they are moving off."
"Good," replied General Dixon. "return us to a defensive wall between the invaders and the planet, high orbit."
"Done, sir."
He went to a private area to speak with Simon, the captain.
"Happy?" Simon's voice was vicious.
"It worked, didn't it?" Creighton responded defensively.
"But for how long?" He realized he was screaming, his face red. "I was in charge!" His own rage frightened him.
"You know that's not how it works, Simon. I have to do this."
Simon began to calm, but not because of General Dixon's words. He feared his rage and shrank away from it. "What's the point?" Pausing a moment he added, "Of all this?"
"To protect the Ignorance of the inhabitants of the world below."
"No, they know something is up by now, they can't stay Ignorant with this going on up here. This is our D***** government making a political statement." Simon's despair was evident.
"Perhaps, but does it really matter? We are here to do a job, and we're going to do it." Creighton softened. Simon bowed his head and walked out without another word. Creighton went to a view port and looked out at the pristine planet below.
Back aboard his ship, Simon began furiously searching the archives for the type of signals used by his race at this stage in development. There was no information available from before the Wipe. Frustrated, he decided to approach this in a different method, a more modern one. A plane of laser light scanned him from head to toe and his body appeared in what had appeared to be a government building, in a very large office. He looked around for someone to speak to.

So we are important after all. Thought Creighton as he was informed of the Flagship's arrival.
The KishRa is here in support of you, loyal Kazeci forces.
Other races, you are here by ordered to leave this system on the pain of many lives. We do not ask, we demand. The voice was cool and filled with authority. It seemed to know something that those it addressed did not.
Lazarus responded to the transmission calling their bluff. He knew that the enemy had no chance against the ships of Chronosia, Sonaj, and Ageaol.
Many people shall die? This small group of people can hardly be considered many. You wish to start a war with us? Or are you intending to blow the planet up? Either way we shall not back off.
Kazecistan
29-08-2005, 01:49
Destroy the planet? Do you think us mad? What would be the point of protecting it? And beyond that, this fleet could not destroy a planet. The voice was quite appalled at how absurd the idea was. The lives of you and your crew depend on your decision. Should you choose to defy the will of Kazecistan and endanger the progress of the ignorants below, you will pay in blood. War is a costly thing, are you sure that your leaders will approve of it for the reasons you have stated? Leave this system and do not return.
To show that they meant business, a second assault fleet, identical to the first, entered the system. It was larger than the Ageaol fleet, a fact painfully obvious to the eye as it neared its foe. A transmission was sent from the new fleet.
We out number you, and your friends are far enough off that there would be little left to save when they arrived. Our weapons are charged, our shields up. Do you really wish to be martyrs for your evil cause? They continued to advance.

"Evil? Tell me, what do you know of evil? Have you watched worlds burn? Have you seen civilisations, races, systems; snuffed out? I truly doubt it. Your definition of evil is so lack lustre that the word must feel awkward on your lips. What is your evil? Daddy beating you up? Murder in the streets, war? You know nothing of that word and you dare to use it in our presence" He hissed, snarling as he leant forward; malice pouring into the radio transmission.
"What are worlds converted or cleansed if it means that the Imperium can live, grow; survive? What are millions of lives next to the life of the Imperium? You can't answer, can you. And how surprising..." He sighed. "Stand down; or face the wrath of the Imperium. We shall show you evil, we shall force it upon you..."
"What do we do now Master?" asked Lornal in a concerned voice as they watched the fleets approach them.
"Stand our ground." Lazarus replied. "We have better technology than them. Plus we have Chronosia and Sonaj to assist us. If we need to we can use the teleporter to retreat to the surface and call for backup."
Nay, we do not wish to be a martyr. A martyr is a fool who sacrifices their life foolishly and wastefully. We have no intention of dying here.
The small Ageaol fleet waited with shields and weapons ready.

of the crew. Creighton's will wavered, though only for a second, it wavered. Regaining composure, he spoke to the communicator. All around him was silent, not a word from any of the crew.
Evil is imposing your will upon the unwilling. What you plan to do, impose your will on the unwitting, is far beyond evil. The word does not do your cause just, none can.
As for the life of the Imperium, what of it? Kazecistan would gladly give up it's power to save people from oppression and corruption. Harming millions for the pleasure of your false Gods is not acceptable. And what's worse? You thought that you could to do so in Kazeci territory? To a protected world? The mood among the crew lightened a bit after hearing the General speak.

"Tyranny is enforcing ones will upon the unwilling, sycophantic worm. Do not seem to trifle with a servant of the true Gods when you do not even know what you speak of. That millions must die in sacrifice is in no way aided or hindered by the Imperium. Everytime one of the syphylitic whores of your populace dies; everytime one of you raises a weapon to slay in malice; every time you indluge a carnal pleasure....You submit to them. To deny them is to deny your own mortality, little one."
Laughter, cruel and mocking echoed through the void.

We do not impose a will upon this world, we simply allow it to decide it's own course without influence. We appoint ourselves it's protectors because otherwise they would fall prey to the likes of you. This is not our will, it is theirs. We know that your ways are not what they want, nor ours, and we respect that by allowing them to live without interference. To live without the evil that is your tyranny.
ooc: Despite the fact that we are not in a battle, do you mind giving specifics on your fleet, Chronosia? Thanks
"Stay in position." Lazarus commanded. "These beings are so pathetic that they don't even possess the power to destroy a planet."
Endanger the progress of the ignorant ones below? First of all, below is a term that is not accurate in space and you should know that. Secondly, you are interfering with them by just fighting us. First contact is a major cusp in all races whether it be onplanet, offplanet, friendly, or hostile. Thirdly, how exactly do you know what they will? Even if some of them do want your protection millions of others would not. We know this planet better than you. Most people down there would actually welcome any kind of spacefaring race with great enthusiasm. Lastly, the ignorant ones are going to kick your ass.

The general was quite amused. For them, we are above, thus they are below. Besides, you understood our meaning. What is the point of splitting hairs? Do you wish to delay your destruction?
We are allowing them to take their course by not interfering. You wish to do the opposite. We interfere with your path to protect theirs. They have priority. They are not ready, as your own ally has stated.
They want our protection. We are there, observing, hidden. They know not of our presence yet through it we know their needs. They would welcome you with open arms at first, walking into the trap. Then, when it was too late, they would see the fault in their ways and regret it with their last, tortured breaths.
And 'Kick my ass'? Where did that come from? We could kill every single one of them without suffering any losses, in the blink of an eye! We choose not to and outright refuse to, but we can. We needn't destroy the planet to kill off its inhabitants. If they wanted to, they could attempt to damage our fleets, yes, but they would fail and we would not retaliate.
You have made some quite foolish comments here today, I suggest you think them through better before sending them, least your nation be seen as one full of fools.

There are races up there who routinely commit unspeakable evils upon worlds such as yours. Yours, however, happens to reside in Kazeci territory. We are protecting you now, but we may not be successful." Simon's eyes took on a sort of crazed look before he blinked them back to normal.
Since you appear to be psychic from knowing what it is that the people of this planet will, you should already know the answers to your questions. Of course you are not psychic and are merely claiming to know something that you do not.
First contact is essential if any race wishes to grow beyond the meaningless boredom of being stuck on one planet. By interfering with their First Contact you are delaying their growth into an interstellar race and going against their wills.
Also, what is the point of eradicating all life on a planet. You should either let it be, destroy only that which is necessary AKA resistance, or destroy the whole planet. By destroying everything but the planet you are throwing away tons of resources.
Your lack of knowledge about the way of national growth and your stupid wasteful ways make you the fools. Thinking you can defeat us is idiotic.

"You've told me, so what else do you want?" Alexander asked the person/ghost he was beginning to believe was certifiable.
A deep, dark voice spoke into a communicator.
Forces, men and leaders of Kazecistan, worthy opponents, this is the Emperor of Sonaj, chosen by the God itself, speaking. You may have great numbers, but you do not seriously think Sonaj would send it´s Emperor guarded by weaklings? This fleet alone is more powerful and battle-hardened than all other forces wearing the sign of the Empire. Your numbers matter not, our skill does. Fire upon us, and be removed from existance and space.
The Emperor did not doubt that his words would, at least for a short time, put fear into the heart of his enemies. Few could hear his voice and be indifferent, one had been strengthened.

(I would assume that this is another ‘Earth’ for the purposes of this thread. If not, I’d really have to quit. The absurdity of conquering or protecting NSEarth is just too great. That said, as Earth is literally ‘dirt’ (“You call your planet dirt?”) it’s not that unlikely a translation of other planets names.)
There were no fireworks when a Necrontyr star ship arrived, no tearing asunder of reality, simply a graceful and simple deceleration from hyper speed. A glimmering white vessel, the Imperial Necrontyr Diplomatic Ship Arithel appeared over the planet. A small vessel, the Arithel was a striker class patrol ship, almost completely unarmed, its main armament stripped out to provide enhanced diplomatic capabilities.
It listened for a time, scanning space around the beleaguered world for the messages that had disappeared into the vastness of space. Serafin Mastad, one of numerous civil servants of the necrontyr empire and the vessel’s captain found the sum of the messages to be interesting reading.
Several messages were blanked out, those related to the chaos gods, entities that were largely deemed, in this reality, to be almost trivial. Certainly they were here nothing like as powerful as they had would have been there. However, messages were forwarded to various departments, and in the vastness of space, the power of the necrons stirred. But none of this was of concern to Serafin. He was more concerned with the people on the nearby planet.
The attitude of the C’tan, and their servants to that of Kazecistan was of course, not as one might imagine. The C’tan were after all an empire, however benevolent. The leading philosophers and politicians of the nation were largely against ‘non-intervention’ policies as the refuge of the ineptitude.
Serafin recalled, reading the transcript of the Kazeci’s words, the comments of the necrontyr philosopher Selaw, “ ‘Prime Directives’ are the refuge for those who aren’t capable of handling the power they have.”
He tapped a glowing crystal key and dispatched the compiled messages up the chain of command, and began writing a response, targeted at the satellites in orbit. It took a short while for the communications monitoring systems of the small vessel to isolate the communications coda and procedures for the local equivalent of ‘e-mail.’
Addressed to the heads of state of the various nations, he sent a brief message which was intended to skip most diplomatic channels.
Greetings.
First let me assure you, that this is no prank. I am transmitting this message from a vessel approximately one hundred thousand kilometres from the surface of your world. As you are no doubt aware, there are various vessels presently in orbit of your planet. I would like to quickly explain what I’ve been able to gather of the situation in order to help you deal with these interlopers.
First, there are three separate groups of some form of religious fanatic who serve gods of ‘chaos’ and wish, it seems to invade or otherwise subjugate you. Second, there are a group called the Kazeci, who claim that your world falls into their ‘territory’ (a foolish concept in space, but I digress) but before you consider that an infringement of your sovereignty, I should point out that it is presently their desire to protect you from the others – from my vantage point, that would be a good thing.
There are also ourselves, we are the ‘Eternal Necrontyr Empire of the C’tan’ – which sounds much more unpleasant than it is, let me assure you – we’re, I suppose, on your collective side in this little incident, however, we’re not able to, with the forces we have here, fight your enemies directly.
What we can do, is perhaps help you bluff, negotiate, and provide advice on handling the public reaction to this little conflagration afterwards, if you’d care to acting with us. Anyway, I eagerly anticipate some form of response, and I’ll keep you updated on the situation as it unfolds.

"C'tan" The word slipped from Cabot's rough lips and seemed to linger, festering in the air. That ancient word; that language that bypassed all of the Old Imperium, even the civilisations before that were nothing next to that ancient word; that language; a culture of which tales were told in riddles from the lips of Eldar. He smirked softly, and then laughed.
He steadied himself; waiting softly as he listened intently to the entirety of the message, before engaging communications once more with the Kazeci vessels.
"It would appear, gentlemen, that your ruse is up; ignorance ended, curtain lifted from eyes and, of course, reality proven to be more than mere fire and shadows in a cave. Tell us; what now will you do? What will you do as your farcical efforts pale into mist, before the clarity of truth. Alas, it would appear that a third party has undermined your efforts."
He slumped into his chair; a great throne of ornate skulls. "Simply put; this world is autonomous, no longer considered as being 'yours' or in 'your' territory. We of the Imperium suggest that tyou back down from your self righteous indignation, and allow us, more worthy beings; blessed by the very Gods to initiate our first contact. Those we touch shall see far, know much and live long...You have 30 conventional terran minutes to make your decision."
OOC: I am insulted! My people do not worship anything. We are merely helping out an ally.
IC: As the C'tan transmission reached them, the Ageaol fleet erupted in laughter.
Greetings people of C'tan. First let me tell you that you greatly overestimate the people on this planet if you think that they have the means to detect spacebattles occuring above them.
Secondly, you are obviously inexperienced at communicating with such planets as this one where there is a lack of stellar travel. This planet is full of such greedy and territorial people who would think that Kazecistan is just as bad for claiming this planet to be under their control.
Like we have been trying to tell the fleet of Kazecistan. You have no inkling of what side this planet is on and what it desires. Do not think for an instant that you know what is best for them.
You wish to help them hide the fact that something the public cannot see happened? You either have an ulterior motive or you overestimate everything you meet greatly. The people have no idea that 5 forces are currently in orbit and will continue to be ignorant until such time as you tell them or debris gets caught in the planet's gravitational pull and strikes a city.
Do not act as if you want to help them. Do yourself a favor and leave this system for if you stay, only trouble shall befall you.

Serafin read the first reply, and tried to make sense of the, well, warped, logic, and composed a response.
First, they’re called telescopes, both radio and light, and they’re not exactly rare. I’d be greatly surprised if these ‘others’ don’t have both, given the satellites we’ve noticed in orbit. While I’m certain it might suit whatever motive you have to claim that the people here are idiots, I think I’ll wait for them to say something on that score.
As for my experience, perhaps, personally, you may have a point, but somehow your argument doesn’t gel. Perhaps it’s the implication that people in space are not ‘greedy or territorial,’ as a glance at the actions of yourselves will disprove. Or perhaps it is because I have, in my last message, been quite, quite blunt about the motives of these Kazeci, both the positive and negative aspects of them.
As for what I have ‘no inkling’ of, perhaps you’d like to explain, given that my last message was a fairly standard ‘hi there,’ what convoluted reasoning led you to assume that I was claiming to know what the people of this planet desire.
And no, we don’t particularly wish to aid you, we are however, prepared to provide any assistance we can in whatever course of action the local governments choose. Our ‘ulterior motive’ is nonexistent. As for the ‘ignorance of the locals’ I think you are again, seriously underestimating them, it is comparatively easy to see even a small vessel such as my own when it is in a lower orbit of a planet. Multi-kilometer behemoths are actually rather hard to miss.

As Alexander was talking to 'Ghosty', he logged into his computer and checked his email. Reading the message, he typed out a message and sent it to reply, assuming they'd be able to pick it out of cyber-space.
"To: ENEC
From: Prime Minister Alexander Musollini, United Provinces of Ceneda
I have recieved your message, and while I am willing to possibly accept help, I have been taught to 'Beware greeks bearing gifts' which, while not exactly relevant, is close enought to deal with ICPhysicals.
I'm certain that the Kazeci aren't such idiots as to keep a fleet in orbit around this planet for so long and not discover a way to shield again radio and light telescopes and I'd be very surprised if they didn't modify the satellites or just disrupt their signal to remain hidden.
You must come from a strange race if your standard greeting also includes stating you are on someone's side and wish to aid someone. I wonder just how many variations you would have to have in order to avoid interstellar war all the time.
And as for your "multi-kilometer behemoths" I doubt they'll be there much longer once Kazecistan takes action. Even if they do see them, the people on this planet have a long history of not believing in any spaceships they see. For now only the national leaders shall know of your existence.
"It appears that Ceneda has also begun communications with the C'tan."
"Monitor them, they won't be able to do anything much but the C'tan might use them as an infiltration point or somthing similar."
OOC: Damn Kazecistan not responding! If this were in real time he'd have already shoved you out of there and there'd be no spaceships for the locals to see.

OOC: Err. How? What with this being 'non violent.' Unless he's claiming to be awesomely powerful beyond compare, in which case, he can forget it.
OOC: Yes it is nonviolent but apparently the captain of his ship would be willing to risk serious damage to his fleet to move you by attempting to go:
Full speed ahead! Charge into that ship!

OOC: I could lecture you on the general folly of ramming in space, but I would instead point out that rapid manouvering and impacts in orbit would if anything create even larger flashes of light, etc.
Furthermore, just whose 'side' are you on in this? You seem to be now urging Kazecistan on, despite apparently being the ally of their enemy.
EDIT: As for shielding the planet from seeing anything with a telescope, while that's potentially possible, it would also condemn the planet to a perpetual night. I think someone might notice that.
OOC: I didn't mean putting the planet in perpetual night, I was saying that he probably shielded his ships from being viewed with telescopes.
I'm on Chronosia's side. It's just somewhat funny the way Kazecistan's ships literally go head first into their problems.
And the ramming would create flashes of light. Flashes of light that a technologically advanced race would be able to contain or disrupt.

Eheh. Right. Because they're so likely to do that when they're obviously bluffing. Oh well, screw it. It's blatantly clear that the situation has gone beyond what the Kazeci have a snowball's chance in hell of hiding.

1. Occ that is more that 2 lines long from now on is to be kept in the signup thread.
2. I intended to awaken this world to our presence, but many of my characters had no idea.
3. Ageaol, do you mean to say that you are on the planet? That defeats the propose of the RP. I ask that if this is true you either remove yourself from the RP or modify it so that you are not on the planet and have never been.
4. Ageaol, your last message to me further demonstrates foolishness. Why would a nation send such a thing?
5. I would never have rammed, as 'none' of you know. There would have been no light as there would be no crash. This is the most forceful way to move an enemy without shooting them, as you may have realized.
6. Originally I did hide my ships from radio and light telescopes, but gave up after the appearance of larger fleets.
7. Obviously bluffing? Do you mean that Icly? Would your characters really know that we wouldn't shoot? Many of you seem to forget that the Non-violent part in ooc only.
8. I realize I just broke my first point, but this is the last time.

Ic: Responses flooded out at a feverish pace due to the recent influx of information swirling around the Hugh information column on the bridge.
The first was to Chronosia, though any one other than the terrestrials could view it.
Perhaps they know of our existence, but they are still ignorant of much. Wealths of information and discovery await their society on its journey without interference. They will progress in the natural order, growing from their naivety slowly through tragedy, as we once did. Introducing them to our power would only lead to problematic situations. They will not learn of more than our existence and purpose.
The second went to Sonaj, once again on open frequencies.
We do not wish war, let that be clear. We simply wish to preserve this world's ignorance and them allow their rightful and necessary path. This is required for them to 'grow-up' and become a worthy race.
The third was on a closed frequency, but was easily hacked if one truly wanted to view it.
Ctan, stop your transmissions to the planet. Its ignorance is to be preserved. We are here to protect them and their individuality. They are a free people and we intend to keep it that way. We do not own them; we simply protect them due to their weakness. They haven't the capability to do what we do, to stand up for what they believe in.
During this, the hologram spoke. "Your world ant it's people will all be made aware of our existence and motives, despite out efforts. We will eventually be forced into open communication. My hope it to have you involved without endangering your journey." He suddenly became interested in what Alexander was doing. "What is that you are reading?"

((If anyone needs to know what kind of tech I'm using, please e-mail me at feronenkun@hotmail.com))
Near the small planet known as Pluto within the Sol System, the entire bulk of the Federation's fleet blew out of slip space. Thousands of space craft formed a massive cloud in the void of space near the tiny planet, completely dwarfing it.
"Com, open a transmission to the Kezeci."
"Yes sir!"
"Attention, all Kazeci ships within this star system. This is Grand Admiral John Vargas of the Federated Planets of Copenhaghenkoffenlaugh. In light of the recent events that have taken place here, we are willing to assist in the defeat of these Chaos worshipers. The entire bulk of our military is awaiting my command to move in. "Like I said, we already know you're there and if you keep repeating that, I'll ignore you." Alexander, "What I'm reading and replying to is none of your buisness. Do you have anything new to say?" He asked
ooc: If the hologram goes to try and read it, he'll close the window.
A subspace wormhole opens high above the planet, a distance from each of the fleets present, and from it emerges a small taskforce consisting of a prototype heavy destroyer, and a pair of corvettes.
The probe still in orbit, apparantly ignored by the other parties, the probe sends a burst transmission of all detected communications and events to the destroyer.
The Destroyer hails all of the parties present
Greetings this is Captain John Matthews of The Pyrovian Techocracy ship Prometheus
We have detected a fleet buildup in this system, enhabited by a yet non spacefareing nation, and would like to enquire as to the nature of situation,
and if there is anything we may assist with.
The Captain turned to his bridge crew
Decouple the offensive weaponary but leave the shields and Point Defence at full power, We dont want to provoke anyone but should still be prepared, and instruct the corvettes to do the same
Instruct the probe to retreat at first sign of hostility.
Computer give me an Outline of the Probes observations until we arrived and an overview of the local area.
The Captain then closed his eyes as the requested infomation was streamed into his mind.
OOC: Im still unsure about my fleet composition and size, the ship design is unrelated to any others with same name.
After intercepting the message from the Ctan, a technician was immediatly tasked to hack one of the planet´s communications satelites.
---------------------------------------------------------------
"Master, the satelite has been hacked. It was fairly easy considering the difference in coding, but it´s done", a technician informed the Emperor.
"Excellent. Send this message to each of the leaders there."
"To all the leaders of the world:
This is concerning a message I believe you recieved from someone from the Eternal Necrontyr Empire of the C’tan.
I am a leader of one of the nations accused of wishing to invade or otherwise subjugate you.
This is false. The three nations refered to have no such plans, we are here to help you. Your home is not far from that of mine, and our peoples are similar. What reason could I have to wish and bring war upon me for such a barbaric and terrible thing as attacking an innocent planet?
The other group, the Kazeci, are claiming that you are in their territory, and as such, may do as they wish with you and your peoples. This cannot be tolerated.
I am not going to lie to you, my reasons of wanting to help you isn´t purely out of 'good will', we do not want to see potential enemies close in on our borders, but we do not want to see a people, any people, treated the way the Kazeci treat theirs. Them, we are powerless to help. You, however, are not a lost cause. We will not let you be tormented.
Lastly, concerning the people contacting you previously, the Eternal Necrontyr Empire of the C’tan (which actually is just as unpleasant as it sounds) are siding with the Kazeci, and sent you the message hoping to make you friendly when the Kazeci arrive to turn your planet into a part of their nation.
This is a message sent to you by the leader of the nation Sonaj himself. Please, heed our warning. There is no need for you to be tormented."
The Emperor was rather pleased with it. Even if some did not take his word, others would. Either way, the forces of the planet would be in dissarray when the invasion would begin.

Alexander contacted McCormick, and had him transfere the out-put of a UPC communications satellite. Tapping out the message, he sent a text message to the various ICPhysicals.
To: Identified Counter Physicals
From: Prime Minister Alexander Musollini, United Provinces of Ceneda

Serafin sighed, deciding to deal with the ‘Kazeci’ message first. It was the easiest to answer. Whoever this ‘galactic dominion’ thought they were, they were kidding themselves.
No
Then came this nation of Ceneda:
Well, your choice, of course, but, far be it for you to be able to say we didn’t send you a ‘heads up.’ Additionally, I have no idea what an ICPhysical is, care to explain?
Post script: We have no particular desire to send down representatives because, really, we don’t have any position in this little matter, barring a neighbourly heads up. We’re not too fond of sitting around and trying to hide the fact that people are under the threat of invasion either though. We’ll be here for a while if anyone wants to contact us, but we’re not planning on doing anything.

Pyrovia, keep it smallish.
Yes, I'm over two lines, but it wasn't more that two lines to each of you....
Ic: The hologram walked to the side and disappeared. Simon walked over to a holo interface near a wall and began to search for transmissions to the planet, in any form. After hacking past a few Kazeci encryptions ((he shouldn't have access)), he found what he was looking for. He walked back and stepped onto the platform. Once again he was visible. "I am here against the will of my superiors to guide you on your contact, to minimize the damage. I will be observing and making suggestions. You may try to block me, but it may very well take your scientists weeks or months to figure it out." After a moment he continued. "Do you understand why you must not have contact with our technology? You may know of our existence and even our motives, but you must not have such advances."
The KishRa responded to Pyrovia's message.
We would be glad of your assistance. We are here to protect this world and it's path from those who would influence them.
"Sir, Sonaj just sent a message!"
"Let's hear it."
The message was displayed. The General was enraged.

Ic: The angry general Dixon sent the following message out on all frequencies, channels, and bands open for all to hear.
We do not claim ownership of these people or their world. They are a free people, to be free of outside influence until such time as they are ready. They fall within boundaries set by our nation and are thus protected by it, but when the time comes that they should be ready to enter the Intergalactic community, this world and the space surrounding it shall be theirs. We will not impose our will upon their ways in any way, shape, or form. Ever. We shan't torment these people! As he finished this part, he was nearly screaming. Calming a bit before his next part, he began. These nations, those who worship the false Gods of Chaos and their allies, will not come to your world to burn and pillage, nor to utterly destroy. They will come with a message of peace and you would receive them with open arms. They would come to control your society and by the time you realized their evil intent, it will be to late. Far too late. You shall be made slaves, killed, and the most unfortunate among you shall become Daemons. Your world will become a desolate wasteland, your people starved and in constant fear. We have seen this happen before! Can you not see that we are your only hope?! Blind you have been for ages and blind you shall remain following them. He was yelling, but no longer with rage. He was yelling with inspiration, and few could avoid sensing it.But this doesn't have to be. You can be free and live out the course of your history, learning from your mistakes to become a competent and powerful space faring race.
The hologram of Simon spoke after hearing the message on his ship's comm. Alexander would have heard it too, through the holographic link. "You must understand what would become of you. Even if all of the horrible things mentioned did not happen (I've seen it my self on similar worlds which we could not protect), without all of the wisdom your race would gain from now until your technology became equal to ours, you would not be ready for what the universe had to offer." Attempting to make his concept graspable for his listener, he gave an example. "If, say, your world was given our energy weapon technology, you would undoubtedly end up using them on each other, killing billions needlessly." He tried again, "You can't force a toddler to grow up in an hour. It takes years. I don't mean to call your race stupid or pathetic, quite the opposite, but you need time to grow."
Alexander type out a return message.
They may come with a message of peace but with treacherous intent as you claim, but until we have had a chance to decide that for ourselves we can not take you at your word. Should you be truely interested in aiding us, send us a representative and let them send thier own so we may judge.
Having sent the message to faced 'Ghostie,'
"While you may have examples supporting your claims among your histories, we also have history and our history supports the views of my people." Alexander informed the hologram.

"I have seen it!" the hologram of Simon persisted. "With my own eyes!" Desperately, he walks out of view again. Returning shortly, he urges Alexander to read his newest message. When he did, he would find the abbreviated Kazeci logs of this (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=430024&page=3&pp=15) incident. Among the highlights were things such as He gestured to the twisted being lying before them.
"Do you know what this is?"
He brought his foot into its stomach, flipping it over. It had been human once; its eyes now removed; sigils, runes, chains and bandages covering its twisted form; oaths tied to it; written in blood; unspeakable oaths...
"It is a Daemonhost. Or at least; the host for it. It was once a citizen of this world" He gestured beyond the Chronosian lines.
"From there. We have had our cultists at work, collecting, corrupting..
A soft chuckle rose from the Inquisitors lips; the thing before them twitched, moving, begging in mumbled speech for aid...
It had no tongue...
After allowing him to read it through, he spoke again. "This is what shall become of you should you not head our warning and utilize our protection."
Ironically, these same logs were sent to the CTan forces as well.
With a raise of an eyebrow Alexander asked, "Like records can't be faked or falsified. If you are worried that the people you claim are out there and did this will try to sweet talk us, then feel free to sit in on any meetings we have with them, as there delegates will be sitting in on any meetings we have with you. Regardless of the consequences, we shall decide our own fate, we shall be the Captains of our Ship, not the cabinboy as you seem to believe is all we deserve."

Upon hearing the message, the flames of the Emperor. Not from anger, but from amusement. Not only had his message struck a nerve, but he believed had forced them to brake one of their own rules: No communication. He couldn´t be sure, but it was very logical that they had such a rule.
This also indicates that his message had orked: The people didn´t know who to listen to. For a moment, he had felt bad for lying about the great gods of Chaos, but it passed fast. When the planet was claimed, the gods would be more than pleased.
He then sent a message to his fleet, and 'accidentaly', bits and pieces were sent down to the planet.
To the fleet:
Men, the people below have been confused, they do not know that we are arming to conquer them. Battle might not be neccessary if the peoples below listen to us, but prepare anyway. Remember: Defend The Imperial Flame (OOC:Flagship) and the Emperor above all. We will soon honour the gods with the bodies of these beings on the planet below. It´s peoples cannot fight us any better than a tree can fight fire. They shall be servants to the god. If neccessary, we will slaughter them.
The Imperial Flame, out.

The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
And focusing it on the sky
"Where ninety-nine red balloons go by..." murmered Aleksei, while wondering what else he could do. "or," he mused, "ninety-nine spaceships..."

He paused as Alexander read his next message. After hearing his words, he responded by once again hurrying out of sight. Moments later, he returned. "We are still attempting to decrypt the rest of that message. With so much missing, you cannot believe that is what they truly meant. I assure you, we are not arming against you. We are armed, but our weapons are directed towards our foes. You may confirm their aim, though not their status, with your telescopes." Once again he hurried away. Many long moments later he returns, deeply saddened.
"Our general will agree to conferences on the planet so long as they are on his terms. They involve strict control of their access to you and their flight paths." Sniffling, he continues. I'm afraid I won't be able to maintain this link, or my rank for that matter, much longer. I bid you farew-" The body suddenly disappeared, no more sound came from the spot.
"What were you thinking? Disobeying one of our direct laws..." The general continued to scold his long time, under achieving friend as they walked toward the brig.

"Bring the fleet forward a bit. All at once, in one big surge. That should shake them up a bit." General Dixon began to trail off in thought.
"Sir," The helmsman began, startling the General from his thought. "How far is 'a bit'?"
"I don't know. Bring the engines up to full power as fast as possible, wait a second, and shut them down."
Alexander sat back to contemplate the information revealed by the 'ghost' as well as sending copies of the information to his chief advisors.
After reviewing information, the captain of the Prometheus, reopened his eyes and turned back to his bridge crew.
Captain: Order the probe to hack into the planets satellite network and make contact with someone in authority, maybe we can get a quicker response from the planets inhabitants, since its painfully obvious, from what's going on up here that most of the planet will know something is going on.

moved closer to a nearby satellite and launched a small projectile at the satellite, the projectile impacted gently and slowly merged with the satellite's surface.
The probes AI sent a short code response back to the destroyer,
hack in progress will report when contact established.
A few seconds later
the AI had established a link with there satellite network, analysed there communications and computer technology and identified a leader of a major nation as Prime Minister Alexander Musollini and promptly proceeded to open communications.
Transmitting a message of introduction
Greetings I am a representative of the Technocracy of Pyrovia, by now i am sure you are aware that something is transpiring in space close to your planet, and the fact that you are not alone in the universe. We were performing routine exploration and surveying of this part of space and came across your planet, while usually in this situation we would have left you alone we detected several nations foreign to your system close to to your planet we decided to investigate further. As of yet they have not responded to our communications and so we are not aware of their intentions.
If you, and other leaders of your planet, wish we will leave again until you wish to make contact with us again, but we are not confident in doing this until we are certain that you are not being forced into anything against your will, and thus we would like to enquire as to the nature of your situation and if you would like us to provide any assistance.

Captain:
Greetings We will consider assisting you but as we are unfamiliar with the situation and the parties involved we therefore we will require more information before we can take sides.
We can however monitor and make sure that no one lands on the planet without permission of its inhabitants as so far the only ones that we would consider neutral are the inhabitants of the planet

The Technocracy of Pyrovia had their response in bursts, as it was large. The first part was entirely composed of the speech of a very dignified person, who never gave their name. We wish to have your aid in protecting the ignorance of this planet's inhabitants. We feel ourselves capable of monitoring activity to and from the planet without your assistance, but are willing to allow you to join us in our quest. There is an issue, however, that must be dealt with. You have sent a device to one of their artificial satellites. This must be disposed of. They cannot posses any of the technology that was undoubtedly aboard. Remove this or we will remove it for you. It went on about their intent and what was to follow. The next burst was comprised of Kazeci documents and logs that proved their viewpoint and intent. After that were the logs of Kazeci contact with these nations before, concentrating on their 'evil' aspects. The Final burst contained logs and information gathered from the beginning of the incident, again the data was slightly bias, not in that it added false information but in that it left a few things out and cleverly worded the rest.

"But you must allow me!" Simon's protests went unheeded by the empty corridor. "Do you hear me?! I must! I simply must be there! Let me talk to him!" Simon began to throw a fit, like a child before the Awakening. Tears came to his eyes as he pounded the force field, realizing how pointless it was. He sat down, hanging his head in despair. He could still hear his cries echoing up and down the huge openness of the space beyond his force field.
As the echoes quieted, steps could be heard. They grew louder. a small man stood against the wall, just out of Simon's view. The man spoke. "Yours is a necessary task." Simon looks up, searching for the voice's owner. "You must guide contact."
"I cannot do that from in here." Simon replied as he stood and casually walked around in search of an angle that would permit him to see the source of the voice.
"You can, and you must. Step into toe circle." The voice was a knowing one. Just as Simon was about to ask, he said, "Behind you, there should be a purple ring on the floor and ceiling.
The figure of Simon appeared once again in Alexander's room. It spoke to the wall, not realizing where it was. "What is this for?"
A voice responded, "You're on." Steps could be heard moving away.
Whirling around, he saw that he was in the room once again, not his cell. "Thank you! Thank you!" he called with great joy after the retreating foot steps.
"I see your back, so what happened?" Alexander asked, seeing that ghostie had returned.
"What are you?" Ryan asked, as he began poking the hologram.
"Get down sir." Victor snapped, pistol pointed at the ghost.
"Who are you?" James asked as he started in shock.

Simon addressed the man holding the weapon first. "Down? I am standing on the floor. Do you wish me to lie down? Such a thing is not necessary, I assure you. As for who I am, I am Simon Callahan, former commander of one of the Kazeci vessels above your planet. What you see is a hologram of my body. I can feel and interact with objects down here, like that finger, Ouch! but I cannot be shot, so your weapon is of no use. I doubt this signal can be blocked by means you have available.
But on to the point, as Alexander here already knows, I am here to guide you on your journey, protect you from influence."

An Airfield in Krendakov, night-time.
Two MiG-21s made their way along to the runway from their hangers. Their engines rumbled away. The first one reached its destination, and quickly accelerated; the noise emitted from its engine grew. Momentarily, the other hesitated, then followed suit. They flew through the night air, watching for anything that might be a signal of the beginning of an extra-terrestrial invasion. Silent villages and towns lit by street lamps passed by them, they glided on in their search.

Ryan's next poke resulted in nothing, his hand simply passed through Simon's hologram. "You see, I have the ability to control what parts of this holographic representation actually interact with objects down here. Right now, only the souls of my feet are palpable, allowing me to stay properly oriented to the ground." He took his hand and swatted right through Ryan's head. "Did you feel that? That little tiny bit of resistance? That was during that short moment in which I had to decide weather or not to interact with the matter of your brain." Of course, he couldn't really have made his hand appear inside solid matter, he could only do it while surrounded by gas, but he hoped his display would frighten the rather annoying person away.
Ryan continued to poke, prod and generally try to figure out how the hologram worked.
"Please forgive, Ryan, he's a rather obsessive scientist." Alexander commented

"I've noticed." He said with a slight bit of distaste. Returning to politeness, "But it doesn't matter. What matters is your conference. You must hold it soon or I'm afraid that intergalactic war may break out. Members from at least two major groups are above this planet; the fate of many worlds lies in the balance. You must hurry if we are to keep this conflict cold."
Transmissions sent continued to get angrier and angrier as time progressed. The Kazecis spoke of the evil of Chaos and railed on their religious beliefs while making continual threats. Most of these transmissions were not official; in fact, they came from crewmembers using open frequencies.
Alexander tapped up a message which he sent to the fleets, as well as the other major nations of Earth.

About noon, Krendakov International Airport. There are several television crews filming a south-east asian looking woman, Chizura Ognev, boarding a government jet. She turns around to face them, smiles and waves. She continues onto the plane. A rumbling sound came from the engines, and the plane began to inch foreward. Down the runway it accelerated, getting faster every momet. Incredibaly (for who would have thought lumps of metal could fly?) its front wheels rose of the ground, and it pulled up into the sky. When it reached cruising altitude, a MiG-21 came in from either side: an escort.
Inside the jet, Chizura poured herseelf a glass of wine, thinking about the extrodinary events which had unfolded. She sat down with the glass and looked at the contents, thoughts spilling from all corners of her brain. The glass was picked up, and some of the liquid inside fell down Chizura's throught. This would be a confrence to remember.
Alexander had contacted the center for the conference, and had them prepare and organise the food, drink, and housing.
He had also had his suits re-customized.

The jet carring Chizura made it's way towards Theao, and at the border the MiGs pulled off, flying back to their home, back to Krendakov. Chizura stood in the changing room of the plane. The black evening dress was hung before her, she had left in much more buissness-like attire. Now she would arrive much more formally dressed. She proceeded to get changed.
Turbulance jostled the plane around as it came in to land. Chizura sat in her chair, the sick bag clenched tightly in her left fist, her face a pale shade of green. Finally the plane touched down, and while it taxi-ed to the correct position she had reclaimed her composure.
The representative assigned to meet the Krendakov representative watched as the plane taxied in. Once it had stopped, he exited the car to wait for the delegate exit the plane.

The Following Response was sent to the Kazeci
We did not mean to imply that you couldn't monitor activity yourself, and if you felt that i did i apologise, but as we do not yet have a full understanding of the situation and have yet to receive any acknowledgement from the other parties here, we cannot offer any other assistance as of yet, but as we are monitoring activity ourselves we offer this information freely for you to do with as you wish.
The information you have provided is interesting to say the least but we cannot act on this alone as we have yet to verify the integrity of this information and as such would prefer retain our neutrality for the moment, which i hope you understand.
Having said this our goals appear to be compatible as we believe that a civilization should be given technology that would not be able to develop themselves or be wise enough to use responsibly and should develop such wisdom themselves.
Though your goal of protecting ignorance is somewhat unspecific, if you are referring to ignorance of other nations then i am sure that you are aware that this goal has been unsuccessful.
But if you mean your goal is to protect their right to determine there own fate without influence from other nations, then we may have a common goal.
Which brings me to my last point the “device” our probe deployed on their satellite, We have no intention of leaving them there after we leave the system or of allowing them to obtain its technology. We will remove the device shortly, but i would suggest that you not attempt to remove the device by force, unless you are willing to completely vaporise the satellite as anything less than that will likely spread its technology over a wide area and make it extremely difficult for it all to be recovered as it is currently integrated throughout the satellites systems. This is not a threat just a statement of fact which im sure you will conclude yourselves if you examine the satellite more closely.
Just then the Prometheus's AI spoke
"Captain we have recived a message from on of the nations on the planet."

along with the message a transponder code was sent.
"A conference?", the Emperor rumbled. "Obviously I cannot go, my appearnces alone would ruin everything. If Chronosia and our allies also agree, Arcanii will go."
"Yes, my Master", the Admiral responded.
"Send the following message to our allies:
Honourable allies, this is the Emperor speaking
Word has reached us of a conference between delegates from each fleet, and nations on the planet.. This could seriously affect our success in the upcoming attack on the planet. Shall we join them?
We have no choice but to join them. If we do not, the Kazeci shall ruin any chance we have at success. If we go we can counter them and at least confuse the natives if not outright convincing them and giving us a chance to attack.
Lazarus thought a moment. "Lornal shall be the one to go. Lornal, transmit everything that happens back here."
"Yes Master."
We would like to accept your offer and send a representative to attend your conference. We will be sending a representative shortly. You need not worry about air traffic and recognizable shuttlecraft.

A message was sent to all space fairing nations shortly after, detailing how they were to approach the planet. ...are to bring no more than one ship... lightly armed at most... to fallow specified path to the letter... must stop for noninvasive inspection...
General Dixon was slightly upset by the words from Pyrovia. What had the comms officer said? He responded. I wish to apologies for any threat or hint of hostility that may have existed in out last message. We understand and are willing to accept your neutrality.
Let it be known that we share a common goal of keeping this race from the influence of those more advanced than them. We wish them not to acquire their technology, or their customs until sufficiently ready.
Another message, this time sent to the planet.
We will send one unarmed transport to (location). We ask that you do not approach it within one hundred feet. Delegate Bryce Altaffer, a respected diplomat, will be sent to your conference along with one guard.
True to their word, the shiny silver craft landed and two figures stepped out. One, Bryce, wore the traditional robes of earthen tones, the other, a Kazeci soldier, wore clothing of a similar color that did not drape as the robes were meant to do. Both bore tall Whitesilver staffs, each intricately engraved with organic patterns.
As the ship landed on the salt-flats*, it was greeted by a platoon of marines, holding thier rifles at parade rest.
They watched calmly as the creatures disembarked.
ooc: It's the Bonne-ville sand-flats, in the general vicinity of Utah(It's were all the 'aliens' were told to land.
Lornal thought to himself. A meeting with a bunch of primitives and self appointed protectors. This is going to be boring.
He stepped into the teleporter and disappeared. He reappeared instantly on the planet about 30 meters to the side of the Kazeci ship. Lornal was wearing a simple black cloak that had a symbol with the word 'Prosperity' on it in Japanese. The symbol was a double meaning aiming towards confusing the natives and making them like him while also shooting towards the planet giving them resources and thereby making them prosperous.
He greeted the platoon. "Hello there. I am Lornal Murai. I am the representative from Ageaol. How are you?"
One of the members of the marine platoon looked the new person up and down, and spoke, "Right this way." He said as he gestured for the new person to follow.
The Ageaol was brought to a line of plain cars, and gestured to get in the first.
ooc: Platoon singular, not platoons
A small black vessel left the Prometheus and approached the planet after passing through the upper atmosphere the ship took on the appearance of a commerial aircraft for its short journey to the landing site. At the landing site the craft returned to its normal appearance before gently touching down. A minute after it had set down a man in a long dark robe bearing a dark staff ,bearing intricate patterns that seemed to glow slightly and shift as you watched them, emerged from the side of the craft, though no doorway or hatch was apparent, the man walked a short distance away from the craft and stoped, looking around and carefuly observing the other delegates and there craft while waiting to be greeted.
snip
As had happen to the Ageaolian delegate, so too was the Pyrovian delegate treated. A marine gestured to the new delegate, informed him "Right this way," and brought him to another of the line of cars.
A black, unarmed vessel landed in the appointed area. A single man left it, walking calmly towards the people. Clad in shining white Imperial Diplomatic robes, Arcanii looked like something from another world (which, in this case, was true of course). The outfit was white with black seams, and on his chest was a single, red mark, the official sign wore by diplomats of Sonaj. He kept his lower pair of arms tucked away within the clothes, not wanting to frighten the peoples of this world and give them the right impression.
Drawing nearer to the marines, he almost smiled. Particle-based ranged weapons. He had not seen such things with his own two eyes for hundreds, maybe thousands, of years.
"Greetings from Sonaj", he announced with a mechanicaly strengthened voice. "My name is Arcanii, and I am here representing our nation."
Arcanii was given the same treatment all extra-planetary vicitors got, "Tight this way." One of the marines directed as he lead the Sonaj delegate to one of the cars.

The two Kazecis entered a car as the others had, after introducing themselves, of course.
ooc: Sorry for such a long wait, RL is consuming, no devouring, way more of my time now. I'm afraid the rest of this RP will be just as slow as the last few days. :(
The cars that had born the 'aliens' to the conference center, and the limo that had brought the Krendakovian delegate began to arrive.
The resort itself was a mid-sized, but five-star resort, that had it's security improved. The resort had two olympic class swimming pools. A full nine hole golf-course graced the western side of the field, while a track, four tennis courts and a stables were on the eastern side.
There was a five-star resturant with a gourmet chef which would provide food for the guests, once they'd answered the survay/fact-sheet found in the cars.
ooc: Since there are a few of FTers on the ground I'll bring the 'resort/conference center up'.

The two Kazecis walked and talked as friends. Despite their differences in profession, they had much in common. They enjoyed tennis, which they happened to be rather good at, playing against each other and anyone else willing, doubles and singles. They enjoyed the greenery of the golf course, not playing or knowing the rules but walking around and enjoying it all the same. Although they knew what was available to eat and what was normal on this world, they ordered with some very odd twists.
Arcanii walked around and studied the environment, the people, the architecture and anything else the Emperor might want to know. He lingered a while while watching the Kazecis play tennis, but moved on, figuring they were either
a) Crazy
b) Idiots
c) Honouring their god
d) All of the above
for such sports did not exist i the Empire, as they had been deemed unneccessary and ineffective a long time ago. Once or twice he couldn't resist the urge to study the natives reaction upon seeing a man with extra limbs. The result was most amusing.

The observations of Arcanii were quite off, for Kazecistan was a nation of Atheists who enjoyed competition. Fortunately, neither party knew of the others ideas.
The other nation's delegates were tracked from space, their contact with all things and people who were native closely observed. Kazecistan would not allow their technology to change hands nor their influence to spread.
The staff of the resort were members of the BlackGuard Marines. Since they were effectively unflappable, seeing very odd aliens didn't cause any reactions other than a polite nod.
The guests were all diplomats and all skilled with poker faces.

So far the Kazecis had done little to change their appearances: Bryce had removed his thick robes, underneath were thinner, more normal garments of the same color, and the guard had only loosened a few things, removing formalities. They returned to their room every few hours, for petty things or just as an excuse to move from where they were.
Arcanii had moved on to systematically categorize everything interesting about the surroundings. His clothes, though seeming very warm, were actually quite cool. He kept an eye on the other diplomats, though he had concluded that they posed no threat to him: They were all unarmed, and one-on-one, his four arms would make him superiour to most of them, at least.
He saw a female while moving inside the building, though he did not pay her much attention. He noted her appearances, the way she moved and the way she talked. She was obviously one of the on-worlders, and would matter little to him until he convention started.
He did, on the other hand, keep a very close on the Kazecis, for he found them interesting and knew that they could destroy everything. He wondered why they dressed so unneccessary, and why they removed clothes. This was seen as very rude in the Empire, but he concluded that they simply didn't know better. Quite like those furry creatures he had seen behind bars, flinging excrements at eachother. Maybe not the exact same thing, but there was a resemblance.
the Pyrovian representative, simply know as Samuel, after being shown to his room was left to his own devices. He looked around his room, the furnishings were somewhat lavish for his tastes but functional non the less, the technology was reasonably advanced for a civilisation at this level of development, as he walked around the room he occasionally taped his staff on the ground, each time the patterns on it glowed slightly, “hmm surveillance devices” he thought “I don't know if they think no one to notice them, hmm they probably don't, but i think might be worth it for the occasional time they aren't discovered, ill leave them for now i might find them useful latter on”
Samuel left his room, and began to wander around the complex, he passed several of the planets inhabitants, who seemed to observe him with suspicion, he also passed several other people who he presumed to be other representatives, as of yet there had been no formal introduction, of particular note were a robed man, who he presumed to be a Kazeci from how a second, and more interesting, four armed man seemed to be carefully observing him.
Lornal examined the facilities with disgust. The surveillance cameras were very obvious and the recreational section was very poor and inefficient. How could anyone have fun hitting a ball back and forth? He almost burst out laughing at how easily the Kazecis took to the place. No wonder they want to save it. They are almost just like the natives. He thought. He got in the swimming pool fully dressed, sank to the bottom, and went into a meditative state.

Bryce, no longer wearing his robes, looked remarkably like his guard, with the exception of a few inches that is. Both wearing full-length clothing that neither 'clung nor hung' as the Kazeci designers said. It was cool and comfortable, though it appeared reasonably dressy. They noticed, upon occasion, the others observing them. They cared little and continued with their activities, never leaving the gleaming staffs too far out of reach.
Finding a relatively clear and empty field, they decided to 'work out'. Both took up their staff and readied it. After several minutes of stretching and practicing form with great, though not inhuman, flexibility, Bryce's companion said, "Shall we begin, or are you still in need of stretching?"
Bryce retorted, "I may not be military, but I'm not without instruction."
"We shall see." With that he lunged forward, his staff gleaming in the light only to have it blocked by Bryce’s The two fought hard for several minutes, allowing their ornate sticks to clash and their bodies to sweat. Finally, Bryce was on his back, a staff inches from his skull.
"Not bad, for a diplomat." Bryce responded only by offering his hand. The guard helped him up and the two walked back to their room. Kazecis were among the best in the galaxy at this sort of combat, though it was often no match for longer ranged weaponry, making them poor fighters in all but a few situations. Hand to hand with a fresh Kazeci soldier was not a smart thing to do, as anyone watching could see.
The moniters continued to observe the actions of the 'aliens'.
Meanwhile, one of the marine sargents, watched, and studied the two aliens that were training or fighting with each other.
Lornal reached out with his senses while in his meditative state. He could feel the presence of one four armed being, presumably the representative from Sonaj, a representative from Pyrovia, the two Kazecis, and the female from Krendakov. Guess Chronosia didn't feel like indulging in these silly conferences. Can't say I blame them. But what's the female doing here. She seems to be a native. Did the foolish people who run this place try and get more native nations involved? Probably looking for someone to blame if this goes bad for them.
He mentally transmitted all this information back to the ship and his master.
As Arcanii closed in on the pool, he was surprised to see an ally on the bottom of it. He knew that he shouldn't do anything, wether he was drowning or not. The death of one of the representatives would be an excellent reason to attack the planet. One persons life was worthless compared to the worth of the campaign. If he needed to, he knew he would get himself killed to give the forces above a 'real' reason to attack.
He was amused to see that every part of the complex seemed to be monitored by some crude devices. He briefly thought of destroying each and every one of them so that he could assassinate the guards to make the others helpless against his attacks from the shadows.
He quickly dropped that plan, as he remembered that this was not one of his usual missions: This was talk only. He did feel the need to stretch and move though, so he went to one of the gyms. He found it amusing, but he could use it nonetheless. He looked for something with human anatomy, though the closest thing he could find was some kind of large bag, apparently filled with sand. It would do.
He started punched the bag in spots where they would either cause great pain or be possibly fatal. As he was sure none of the guards had missed that he had four arms, he used all of them. He punched hard, fast and exact, though he got very annoyed at the way the bag swung away from him all the time. He jammed the chain after it had swung too far away and he was risking dislocation of his shoulder.
He then resumed punching the bag, his speed growing with almost every punch.
Samuel continued to wander the complex observing the other representatives upon passing the pool, he observed someone meditating at the bottom, not something he had thought of doing, with a couple of rather bemused onlookers trying to decide if they should try to rescue him. He picked up as sense that this representative had somekind of telepathic or hypersensory ability though was unsure as to the full extent of his abilities, he would bear watching.
The sun began setting. A 'runner' was sent to inform each of the delegates what time the conference was to be held the next day, as well as the rules of the conference.

After cleansing themselves in a rather crude manner, the two Kazecis returned to eating. They consumed large quantities of food twice a day, along with the occasional snacks. Ordering such strange things as eggs with melted chocolate and ketchup, pasta with marinara souse that had been strained with a fine strainer, and nearly limitless souse with roasted or grilled pork. Of course, they didn't eat this all in one meal; rather these orders were spread out over breakfast and dinner.
After their unusual meals, they returned to the golf course, once again enjoying the greenery and weather. Eventually, they retired to their room for the night.
Arcanii noticed that most of the others left as the night came. Not needing to sleep, one of the bonuses of extreme bio-engineering, he used this time to inspect some of the places the others had visited throughout the day. He took great care remembering every aspect of what had been done there: The Emperor would get a complete report.
Arcanii dare not oppose him. He also inspected the spots he had deemed as the most suitable for sniping, ambushes and other ways of assassination. This was a rather standard procedure, or an 'occupational hazard', for him. If the diplomatics would fail, he would not be caught off-guard.

At eight A.M. a messanger went around to wake the delegates, and inform them that it was breakfast time, and that the conference would be starting at ten-thirty A.M.

Kazecis always had a hard time getting up before 10, but obeyed none the less. Soon they were dressed and in the dining area. "8 eggs dirty, 4 slices of lightly buttered white toast." When asked what "dirty" meant, they explained, "First you scramble them, then you add melted chocolate, then you smother the whole thing in ketchup."
The cook shook his head, but made the order as asked.

The two Kazecis happily devoured their meals in silence, unable to speak through the food.
The cook watched as the 'insanely taste budded' Kazecis ate thier food, and waited for the other people to come for food.

There was a knock on the door, it half woke Chizura. One of the aides went to get it. Wakening, Chizura remembered that the Krendian elections had taken place while she was sleeping. She reached out for the phone. With her hand half-way to reaching it, it began to ring. She paused for a moment, and then picked it up.
"Hello?" she said, tentatively.
"Hello, may I speak to Lady Chizura?" asked the voice at the other end of the wire.
She thought for a minute. "Speaking."
"I am so sorry to bother you, but you have a call from a person named 'Aleksei Ognev'. Would you like to take the call?"
Her heart skipped a beat, 'time to find out' she thought to herself. "I'll take the call." She heard a click, then a fimiliar voice.
"Honey?" It asked.
"Here, my darling." She replied. "How did we do?"
"Well..." Aleksei sighed, Chizura's heart skipped another beat. It occured to her that if her heart kept missing beats like this her life would shorten dramatically. "We won."
"What? We won!?"
"Yes!"
"Ohh..." Chizura's rage grew. " Don't, DON'T, scare me like that!" Aleksei laughed.
"Is that a request or an order?" It just dawned on Chizura that if the Communist Party of Krendakov had won, she was now the presidant of Krendakov. The aide had closed the door and now walked over to Chizura.
"Breakfest time." the aide mouthed.
"I have to go, goodbye honey."
"Goodbye Madam Presidant." Aleksei joked. Chizura laughed, then put the phone down. Walking over to the drawers and closets in the room she picked out her clothes. Five minutes later, they were heading to the dining room.

The two Kazecis returned to their room so that they may change into more formal apparel, like that which they arrived in. On their way back, they passed Chizura. "she looks pretty happy about something." Bryce whispered to his companion.
As the only native delegate arrived, she caught two of the marines talking about the Kazecis's eating habits, or rather thier tendency to eat very unusual food combos.
Lornal awoke as the messenger came near him. He had no desire to eat with the others so he pulled out a small box and opened it. Inside was a small supply of food. He pulled out a thermos and something that looked like bacon. He opened the thermos and drank some milk. After he finished eating the 'bacon' he wandered around the complex scoping out places to hide and attack from if things got ugly.
It took the messenger quite some time to find the Sonaian, as he wasn't in his room. The messenger was quite surprised when he saw the man walking around on a rooftop, then starting to jump on it, as if he was checking the stability.
Arcanii recieved the message, then went and asked someone in charge if he could contact his superiour. The Emperor would be growing nervous, and that wasn't good for the peace above.
As the Sonaj delegate was found, he asked for permission to contact his superiors, and was given the go-ahead.
After a few minutes, all were found, awoken, and informed that the conference started at ten thirty.

The Kazecis were oblivious to all criticisms of their eating habits and even if they weren't, they wouldn't have cared much. They began to mill about as they waited for the conference to begin.
Kazeci sensors closely monitored all foreign technology and people to ensure that no damage was done.
Arcanii contacted the Emperor, though he chose to speak in Sonaian, a language no computer or person outside the highest parts of the Empire could understand. This is what they said...
Zuwwu, yfkä juqcuf vö xömn zäw sewucåhhij. Cåfsuwufluf tewdäw ynäk. Xy tåwnu caffa exuwjämä nuh. - Arcanii
Twä, Arcanii. Åqz nu äfnwä? - The Emperor
Sewajåh annä tujuufnu, yfkuj.
Twä. Owä jymm Ihvuwyuj.
Owä jymm Ihvuwyuj!
Arcanii then headed for the conference center. He did not want to be late.
sIc: This is what it meant:
Master, there have been no signs of violence. The conference starts today. We should be able to persuade them.
Good, Arcanii. And the other delegates?
Apart from some strange behaviour, nothing.
Good. Glory to the Empire.
Glory to the Empire!
Edit: OOC: I edited it so I wouldn't have to post a small message. Hope it's ok.
At ten, another runner went round to make sure the delegates got to the conference center on time for the start of the meeting.
After the messenger left Lornal headed towards the conference center. He looked around. I'm the first. No matter. He then started examining the place to find concealed weapons or sniper points in case the natives tried to kill the lot of them.

The Kazecis strolled in to the conference center early, but not too much so. They immediately fell silent and remained in silence. The guard stood by a wall, holding his staff in a formal manner. Bryce sat, his staff beside him and maintaining its vertical posture even though he did not hold it. The decorative point at the bottom did not tough the floor. Bryce sat with his hands tucked away in the folds of his robe's large sleeves, moving his head no more than ten degrees in any direction yet observing all.
The center was well appointed, including a table with various finger-foods.
Stationed at regular intervals were, alternating secruity personel, and service personel.
after quitely having a simple meal Samuel headed off towards the conference center
Once all the groups had arrived, Prime Minister Musollini called the meeting to order.
"Alright, since you each have different ideas, we shall go from left to right, with each of you saying your piece. Do not interrupt, or attack another group."

ooc: `Tis fine.
Ic: The Kazeci happened to be sitting on the far right, so he waited for the others to speak their peace, preferring to respond to their false claims and bring up his own points, which were irrefutable.
