The People's Navy and Red Army of New Dornalia have opted to begin development of new weaponry to gain an edge, and to give existing equipment a needed boost.

The People's Navy, drawing upon its experiments with mecha, will perform a general upgrade of its Townshend, Entwistle, and Moon suits with new electronics kits (including targeting), singularity drives, Eshirian System-based weapons and Warp Cannons. It will also work on development of a new Sector Dominance Ship, titled "Drama Casserole."

The Red Army will also upgrade its Daltrey Mobile Suits, and create a new dedicated infantry support armor unit to replace the Kurosawa, dubbed tenatively "Kurosawa II." A new form of plate armor for both services, called "Shield Steel," has been proposed, and is in the works, along with a new recycler unit (OOC: Think Mr. Fusion from Back to the Future).

Upgrades:

Navy-2/20

Notes: New Electronics kit MSBC-2 for Fleet Mobile Suits, which includes upgraded radar (effective range is 3,000m) and Amethyst Mk I-bis Cloaking Detectors and new battle computers and systems, new Warp Cannon type MSWC-1, new MSToLa-3 Anaconda-type Torpedo Guns (Eshirian System), and new MSSR-1 10,000 Kw Small Singularity reactors are in the works to upgrade the Mobile Suits.

Also, these items are also being included to upgrade our Marinesko TIEs and Komsomol 2s to the new "bis" standard.

Army-3/20

Notes: Upgrades to Army Mobile Suits similar as above.

Research:

Kurosawa II-2/20

Notes: Plans for system include a more man portable unit weighing 1,000lbs less than the original, and a unit that integrates Plasma Cannons and Gauss Guns.

Drama Casserole-2/20

Notes: Ship calls for twin singularity engines, worth 150,000 Kw, and newly revamped FTL-4 engines that provide a MGLT of 160. A system similar to Gaian Bosun Jumping (OOC: Inspired by Nadesico and Gaian Ascendancy) is planned for quick insertion, though conventional drives are planned for now.

Shield Steel-2/20

Notes: Plans call for a Japanese Katana-style sandwiching of Leninite layers, tempered and strengthened with newly found materials from the Eternal planet. Outer layers are to generate a reactive shield when exposed to electricity. Materials to generate said event are being experimented with, but so far, woven meshes of conductive materials in testing seem to provide the best promise.

Recycler-3/20

Notes: Plans include a method of liquefying junk thrown into the feeding hatch, and converting half of the fed mass into energy, other half into fuel.

(OOC: Eshirian System? "Torpedo Guns" ? I'm a bit lost. What's the connection? (Since I can't read your mind.))

OOC: We dub anything involving the use of an internal replicator as the "Eshirian System," as we were inspired by your example. The "Torpedo Guns" you speak of were the Anaconda models, the first types of weapons to use internal replicators (hence the "Eshirian System" tag), and which have a flexible end to facilitate accuracy.

Upgrades:

Navy-4/20

Notes: Upgrades are moving smoothly, with new production Mobile Suits and Fighters being fitted with the aforementioned upgrades. Existing units are being recalled in waves to recieve the new parts.

Army-4/20

Notes: Similar as above.

Research:

Kurosawa II-4/20

Notes: Development moving along smoothly. Initial drafts for a practical design, and specs for proposed parts, are being formulated. Due to safety concerns, antimatter will be used instead of singularity drives for the Kurosawa II.

Drama Casserole-4/20

Notes: Ship size is being planned out for at least 6 km. Emphasis on at least. The goal is to provide dominance over a sector. Specs call for the storage of 50,000 fighters, 20,000 Mobile Suits, and 100,000 men in each compartment; the Casserole will have four compartments.

Shield Steel-4/20

Notes: Conductive meshing materials seem to work best with weaves a la steel wool, but much tighter and piled. Mix of magnetic materials, Leninite/Stalinium (base component of Stalinate) Compound, and aluminum treated with other materials seems to work. Proposals to make lamellar-style plate, with hundreds of 2inx2in squares of conventional metal with conductive material on top, are being entertained.

Recycler-5/20

Notes: Experiments with solutions that can turn metal junk into the needed fluid state are underway.

Navy-6/20

Notes: Upgrades are moving smoothly, with new production Mobile Suits and Fighters being fitted with the aforementioned upgrades. Existing units are being recalled in waves to recieve the new parts.

Army-6/20

Notes: Similar as above.

Research:

Kurosawa II-6/20

Notes: Kurosawa II is to have 1x Plasma Gun, 1x 50mm Rocket Launcher, 1x 45mm Auto Railgun, owing to smaller size.

Drama Casserole-6/20

Notes: Total size confirmed at 6 km. Two components will be used instead of four to save costs.

Shield Steel-6/20

Notes: The lamellar-style idea has been approved, plans finalized, prototype being made.

Recycler-8/20

Notes: An acidic compound made up of classified materials, plus high heat and pressure have been successful so far in tests to break down junk into liquid. Further tests are needed, though.
