Fingrad

Fingrad’s vehicle industry history goes back to 1990, when our country decided that it would be both economically and militarily profitable to create a national arms industry rather than importing equipment from our neighboring countries. This was a risky bet: Fingrad lacked both the specialists and the experience to undertake this task, and its money reserve were not endless. Nonetheless, this was a worthy effort.
The first step was to hire foreign experts and buy small numbers of foreign military vehicles that used top-of-the-line technology in their designs. Two separate factories were built: one funded by the State, Fingrad’s National Tractor Plant, and other by the Rustovich Corporation, Rustovich Heavy Industries Inc.
Both military and civilian personnel got hand to work and many prototypes wear built, but many of them turned out to be disappointing. Fortunately, this only provoked an increased effort in both companies, and in mid 1996 the first Fingrad built and designed vehicle, the RT-95 MBT, rolled out of FNTP.
As many have remarked, this first line of vehicles was not as or as powerful as those of their foreigner counterparts. This is true: the main objective of these weapons was not to obtain absolute superiority, but to give an original answer to our defense needs and to test our own production capabilities.
Nowadays our country’s industry has grown enough to be able to create first class military vehicles, which make use of cutting-edge technology necessary to have control over a modern battlefield. We are eager to present these weapons to our friendly neighbors and close many deals with them.
Vehicles in stock are (detailed briefings will be included in future posts):
• SR-02 “Warlord” Main Battle Tank.
• RT-98 “Nightstalker” Medium Tank.
• TP-155 “Maul” Mobile Artillery.
• SSMS-20 “Comet” Multi Rocket Launch System.
• PO-40 “Sparrow Killer” Anti-Air Tank.
• TP-05 “Sky Watcher” SAM Launcher.
• LM-01 “Lomey” Reconnaissance and Transport Vehicle.
• BR-99 “Rhino” Armored Personnel Carrier.
• UF-24 Mobile Radar and UF-38 Artillery Detector.
Research on new attack and defense systems are being carried out, so we hope to offer new products soon.
