Hogsweat

In a recent move that startled many who were not-in-the-know, the Free Democratic Navy has stated it is to melt down a huge number of capital ships from the FDN and re-use the metals. There has been a outcry in public opinion, as the Navy has been highly publicised and the country is very proud of Hogsweat's two hundred strong battleship fleet and one hundred strong aircraft carrier fleet.
However, the FDN Admiralty has stated that there are way too many capital ships to be properly mantained and stored.
Plans are to cut down on seventy five Renown and seventy five Republic Sovereign BBGs, as well as remove the entire Attacker CVEN fleet from use as a new aircraft carrier is currently being designed that will fill the CVEN's role, more of a Fleet Carrier than a true escort carrier.
However, there are no plans to reduce Hogsweat's nine strong Warspite 2.9 million tonne SDN Fleet, consisting of FDN Warspite, Warhead, Warrior, Weapon, Westland, Winter, Whale, Wellington, and Wizard.
However, the entire Northumberland pocket-SDN fleet will be scrapped and the metals re-used. There are no plans to change the 25 strong Illustrious supercarrier fleet.
No new designs have been released yet, but the FDN states it will be building over five new classes of submarine, three of destroyer, and two of aircraft carrier. There may also be a new cruiser.
The navy's order of battle will be strictly changed in the following years.
