"...yes, that sand is quite pesky." The co-anchor flipped her way in the way that she made habit to do every night.
"Isn't it though...anyways, a recent census showed that our great nation has finally passed 5 billion people. In this world of national genocide, conquest, and strange dissapearances, this is quite an accomplishment indeed. To commemorate this historic event, a great statue is in planning. Word has it that this statue will portray citizens of Sigma Octavus raising our flag out a mass of rubble and weapons." The anchor seemed truly excited about this. He had always been one of the more vocal media personalities on the pro-government side.
His co-anchor gave her usual smile, adding,"The statue should be completed within the next 4 months, and will be located in front of the capitol building in downtown Thresh. It will be quite the sight. Coming up after our short commercial break, the top ten nations for a Sigman to visit, as according to our own foreign specialist Jak Ioltan."
A recruitment add comes on as the beginning of a five minute commercial break.
