OOC: In an effort to reduce clutter in my main Coredian Campaign thread, I must ask all participants to place the space battle here.

IC:
It was nearly ready. Upon arrival onboard the Imperium, Grand Admiral Walter Rommel, Supreme Commander of the Interstellar Defense Force Navy (IDFN), began reading the ready reports of all the ships that would depart Jurai for Earth. It went as follows:

1 Super Star Destroyer, Imperium.
3 Hokage Battleships
3 Elite Star Destroyers: Chimaera, Minotaur, Velociraptor.
5 Artillery Star Destroyers.
5 Shinobi Battlecruisers
5 Dragonstorm Battlecruisers
15 Missile Star Cruisers
25 Advanced Star Destroyer mk III
20 Advanced Star Destroyer mk II
15 Strike Cruisers
20 Nebulon-B2 Frigates
25 Lancer Antistarfighter Cruisers
20 Carrack Light Cruisers
30 Wolfpacks

Secret IC: 5 Stealthkiller Stealth Detection ships

Secret IC:
1 Star Battleship, Duel of the Fates
5 Elite Star Destroyers
10 Lancers
10 Wolfpacks

Planetary Invasion Fleet:
Wolfpacks
5 Victory Star Destroyers
5 Acclamator Heavy Assault Cruisers
Many, Many troop transports.

Army:
3 Army Divisons (1st Army (mixed), 2nd Mech, 3rd Infantry)
2 elite Marine Corps Divisions (5th Marine, 6th Marine)
1 Battle Droid Division (SBDs, Droidekas)
(total compliment to exceed 3 million troops not including the logistics)
500 Jedi
1000 Ninjas

Now Rommel merely needed to wait for the signal to move out...

OOC: I sure will!

Previous posts:
The attack was soon responded to, starships dropping out of hyperspace just outside of the FTLi Field and proceeding to the Cassiopeians. Here, if it were indeed possible, the Cassiopeian Über Star Destroyer would be downed where it stood. (You deploy something that big and not expect immediate reaction?)

---Near Earth---
The fighters soon realised what was happening, and scrambled for two seperate objectives. A number of fighters attempted to escape the Jamming zone, to call for heavy reinforcements, while others simply hunted the slow moving satellites.

The Hatarian meeting was also not to be ignored, and the scanners watched where the ships were going. If any of them could drop just a single bomb on such a meeting, the entire campaign could be stopped.

Three fighters headed for Hatariopolis.

Before long, there was a response fleet deployed against the Cassiopeians.

Even one of the elusive 'Elite' Battlecruiser pilots had been attracted to this decisive battle.

followed by...

The Hatarian had Detected the enemy Fighters and soon sent the Welcome Mat: 6 Squadrons of Raven Intercepters, a New type of Raven Fighter, these were made to Destroy other Starfighters. Six Repeating Blaster Cannons (Two at the Nose and Two on Each wing.) were the Main Weapons of The intercepter.

The Fighters soon Attacked, all Six Repeating Blasters Fireing at the enemy fighters.

2,367 Starfighters (Raven Intercepters and TIE Phantoms.)

897 Gunboats (T-74 Gunboats and "Firehawk" Class Heavy Gunboats.)

45 Imperial Star Galleons

19 Allegience Class Super Star Destroyers

helped by...

The Cassiopeians soon Attacked, The Fighters attacked first, engageing the enemy fighters, The Allegience Super Star Destroyers and The Star Galleons stayed back, ready to attack.

The Satellites were ready incase of a attack by enemy Fighters, they were Shielded very Heavy.......and armed to the Teeth with Repeating Blasters for defense against fighters. The Satellites fired at the enemy fighters.

The Harukabi were Traped.

and...

The First fleet moved in, with the H.S.S. Nemesis in the rear, towards the enemy fleet and began to unload it's special "Cargo" to earth. Lord Vorman looked out at the holo-map which dicpated the battle between the Hakurbians and the Cassiopeians.

::Let's help our "allies" fight the enemy. Captain, send out the signal to begin Vorman attack pattern delta 4.::

"Delta 4!?"

::Question, captain?:: Vorman leered at the Nemesis's captain.

"No sir. All unit's, begin Vorman Attack Pattern Delta 4."

<Roger that.>

The fleet began to form up. The light ships (the Retrebution and Everquest Cruisers) were to stay infront of the Nemesis, and the heavyer ships were forming up above the Nemesis and below. Forming an alignment something like this:

. . . .
. . . .
. . . .

If the enemy had any idea what they were about to face, they would be trembling in fear by now.

and in comes a good-guy...

After several minor problems that delayed the arrival of the Beta Aurigean fleet the finally burst out of hyperspace into the Sol System. Running in perfect formation the fleet proceeded at full speed to the already pitched space battle.

"Report," called Admiral Larcat to the pit crew.

"I have multiple ship signature broadcasts in the space around Earth sir. It seems that the Hakurabi fleet is under assualt from the combined forces of the Huntaerians and the Cassiopeians. They're holding there own for now but for how much longer I don't know the Huntaerian fleet is more than twice as large as ours."

"Well we'd better go and try to even up the odds," replied Larcat. "Release the fighters and advised the wing commanders that targets are at their descretion until they recieve different orders. Ready the dropships for troop transfer to the planet's surface."

"Aye sir, fighters released."

"Battle group commanders this is Grand Admiral Larcat, Captain Porter you will take the Relentless and half of Battle Group Three and engage the Cassiopeians. Captain Georges you will take command of the rest of Battle Group Three and deposit your troops on the planet. Meanwhile I will take Battle Groups One and Two and engage the Huntaerians," as the other commanders blinked off of the screen, the Aurigean fleet broke up and began it's attack.

"Battle Group One and Two form up around the Sabertooth and initiate attack pattern Delta 7."

"We are in firing range sir," the weapons officer informed him.

"Commence firing," ordered Larcat, "Concentrate on their center with all weapons we need to break throught their line and divide them."

The battle for Coredia was joined.

Let the Battle in Space commence!

OOC: Tag! I'll be putting this in my RP section in "Bookmarks"

As stated in my post on the Thread sign up, I have 1000 ships in each fleet (4 fleets total). The number of fighters in the fleet is determined by the amount of fighters the ships can hold (gonna take a while to get calculated)

OOC: Will there be a land assault thread as well?

IC:

The first fleet moved in as ordered, and was headed towards the Hakurabian fleet as well as part of the Coredian fleet.

::SO! We're going to meet the Coredian's in a space battle again? Now, lets fight to the death!:: The Grim Reaper-like lord let out a terrible laugh which filled the ship, ::FIRE ALL WEAPONS!::

The ships in the front of the fleet were the first ones to start firing at the enemies. Bright Orange lasers were shot out of the Advanced Turbolasers, and Advanced Laser Cannons at the enemy ships and fighters.

The Nemesis, however, began to target it's Axiel Super Laser at the nearest enemy capital ship. It's weapon was charging up, and a bright red light can be seen at the tip of the Nemesis.

OOC: Do note that the Axiel super laser carried onboard both the Sovereign and Eclipse SSD's firing distance is ~30km (30,000m). It's the same for these T(owerless)SSD's and any other SSD. So far as I'm aware.

There was the remnants of a battered Advance Fleet in orbit around Terras moon, now they moved out of that cover and clove into any oppponents that were cloe enough, and there were plenty of GA ships nearby for them to go after, the Three Metal Militia class SDns went after SDs 1v1, while lighter Carrier\DNs and Leviathnans tried to get at least 2v1 for the larger SDs, and settled for sending the remaining gunships after the lighter SDs, anything under Imp class in fact.

The fleet slowly moved in.

::Fire the Ion Cannons at the nearest starships.::

"Aye my lord. Fire all Ion Cannons."

Then, brilliant bright-blue lasers emmitted from the fleet towards the enemy ships, rendering most of them immobile (actually, Hakarubi and CoreWorlds decides what happens to their fleet).

::Send out the troops.::

"Aye sir!"

Assault shuttles of all sorts carrying ~20 Space Marines each began to fly towards the enemy fleets. They were battle hardened, and knew their stuff. Your next move... Vorman thought to himself.

In a grand and nasty effort to slow down the enemy forces, a lot of Golan IIs and IIIs began to fade into view and opened fire upon the enemy Star Destroyers and other craft. These babies were designed, of course, to fight such capital ships to a standstill, but not quite in those numbers, despite them being quite numerous themselves.

Meanwhile, in places such as islands in the Mon Calamari Archipelagos and near Atlantica, buried under mountains in the Dragon Mtns and hidden in the Demonic Deserts and also ringing the Coredia Lake, giant planetary turbolasers and ion cannons came online and rose out of their hiding placed via giant repulsarlift platforms. They were fed data from powerful sensor stations nearby and then charged up power, drawing in green or blue specks of light before lashing out in giant green blasts of energy or giant blue globs of EMP energy at the enemy forces.

http://www.galacticholonet.com/Weapons/Pics/Planetary_Turbolaser.jpg

http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Tech/Beam/IonCannon.jpg

Smaller but no less potent turbolasers and ion cannons also reached out to take bites out of the enemy, especially the smaller ships.

Turbolasers and Ion Bolts skittered off of Capitol ship shields, creating a brilliant light show, but for now unable to reach the ships within the shields, that would eventually change, but hopefully the KEWs would do their job first.

Every bolt possible was plotted back to its source, and then targeted by a Leviathan KEW launcher, there would be a few less attacks in the next round, as lumps of nickel iron, accelerated to the insane speed of .8c, fell into the atmosphere, at the size of a "modern"(like 06) Tank, they were definitely enough to at least cripple the batteries.

OOC: As far as I can tell, your numbers are fine Huntaer, a bit on the large side but OK. If it becomes necessary, just to even the odds I will bring in my second fleet, which is essentially the same as my first fleet (only 1000 ships though) but they are a little less experienced as they are trained for defensive rather than offensive maneuvers. Oh, and you seem to have forgotten my attack on your forces, it wasn’t that detailed so I’ll elaborate on it in this post before we count up losses.

IC: "Target your superlasers on the command ships," instructed Larcat to the Battle Groups, "If we're lucky when we take the head off the body won't grow a new one and we can better solidify our position. Estimated time to firing?"

"Ten seconds sir."

"Target the Petulant and Assimilator Classes first then work your way down. And if you can manage it, take a few potshots at the command ship just to keep them on their toes."

"Thee seconds sir....Firing."

All of the sudden the space above Earth was alight with the near simultaneous firing of eighty-nine superlaser blasts, seventy-one of which were focused on the Huntaerian Fleet, and the other eighteen focused on the Cassiopeian Fleet. (Insert number of losses here) ships were reduced to dust but and overwhelming ammount still remained.

"Recharge and fire again," ordered Larcat, "Take us in closer and engage them nose to nose we must break their lines."

"Aye sir," replied the ensign.

"Sir! Reading Heavy Turbolaser targets on Earth!"

"Meaning they weren't there before?" Barbious asked.

"Yes sir."

Lord Vorman leaned over the two officers. ::It looks like there's one inside the Dragon MTs. Send some of our troops on the surfface to go and attack it. Have the rest attack and conquer Stony Village and then move onto the Dragon Mts Interstellar Defence Force Base.::

"Yes my lord."

::Have some of the Assimilator's fire their Mini-Axiel Super Lasers fire at the planet's cities. Specifically; Coredia City, Theed, and Corusca City::

OOC: The Mini-Axiel Superlasers can cause massive planetary devistation if there isn't a sufficient shield on the target's. The fire power ranges from 1/4 to 1/2 the power of an Axiel super laser. The fire power can vary between cannons.

IC:
The Regenerative Ablative Armor on the Petulants was already raised, deflecting/absorbing the blasts without much significant damage (they're designed to go up against Super Star Destroyers). The Assimilators, however, did take lots of damage. Enough to catch the other fleet's attention.

::Have the ITSD Mk I's attack the enemy fleet. Keep them from destroying the Acclamators. Have the Petulants run into the enemy fleet. They're capable of handling themselfs for days on end,:: Vorman ordered.

"Aye sir. Carrying out orders."

::Target our Axiel Super Laser at the enemy flag ship. Also have all available Ion Cannons from the Petulant's target it as well.::

"As ordered."

The Huntarian Fleet isn't about to let the enemies win this one.

::How soon till the 3rd fleet arrives?::

"Nearly 15 hours sir. They're still mobilizing."

Damn it Aelikes. Where are you when I need you?? ::Make sure the fleet holds here! We shall not retreat. If the situation worsens, we'll crash our ships onto the planet's surfface, causing MAXIMUM DAMAGE to the Coredians!::

Shots were launched every ten seconds, much like superlaser shots, only slightly weaker. But the numbers and different types of energy blasts ensured that there would be multiple shots for the enemy, although Huntaer was a higher priority.

The deflector shields of the cannons took most of the lumps of nickel-iron and vaporized them, shuddering the cannons, but two were knocked out of commission reducing the numbers.

"Sir! Reading Heavy Turbolaser targets on Earth!"

"Meaning they weren't there before?" Barbious asked.

The shields rippled under the axial superlaser blasts, turning the power of several weeks' sustained conventional bombardments to one weeks' sustained conventional bombardments.

In return, the planetary turbolasers and orbitial Golan systems concentrated most of their fire upon the Assimilators, ensuring that at least heavy damage would occur.

::So, they're landing upon the beaches? Send out the Specter Squadron. Have them cause their usual havoc, except send half of them to the planet's surface, and the other half will remain in space.::

"Yes sir."

Specter squadron was soon launched from the Hangar Bays of the Nemesis, and cloaked, rendering the enemy blind.

The fighters were launched as ordered. Though the Coredian Pilots have encountered their tactics before, the rest of the enemy hasn't. Even those who've fought against the terror tactics of Specter Squadron, they're still susceptible to the fear.

::Order the Tie Planetary Bombers to strike both the surfface and the enemy fleets Captain. Render as much chaos as possible.

"Admiral a portion of the enemy fleet is moving to intercept."

"How big a portion," asked Larcat through gritted teeth he was begining to have a newfound respect for the Petulant's armor.

"Big enough sir."

"Very well. This is Larcat to all Battle Groups fall back and reform around the Golans we need to find a more subtle way through them, it seems a direct assault will prove ineffective until we reduce their numbers a little more. Lay down detering fire to have them keep their distance while we regroup. Bring the back up shield generators online and reroute their power into the main generators. That should deflect a superlaser blast or two. Hopefully that buys us enough time."

The Aurigean fleet fell back away from the advancing Huntaerians and began reforming around Golan defense platforms. They only had to keep up a steady destruction of enemy ships until they came up with a new plan.

The fleet launched towards the enemy space forces. The fighters arrived at the enemy first and began to engage the enemy fighter forces.

This is Captain Rogers to fighters. Form up by squadrons and engage the enemy forces. We need to keep them away from the planet.

The Godulan vessels, already in-system, watched the action begin, and had already begun maneuvers predicate on jumping into the middle of the enemy fleets.

"Allocate thirty Red Rain Torpedoes, target the Huntarian and Mini Miehm fleets, and fire on my mark."

"Allocating Torpedoes, Ready."

Achaedus watched as the Huntarian and Mini Miehm fleets weathered the withering hail of planetary defensive fire, then picked the moment when he suspected the least number of defending fighters would be affected.

"Mark."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

At first, it seemed like nothing was really occuring at all to the enemy fleets, beyond the ground fire, of course. It was presently just a bit of a slugfest between the space forces and the ground.

But then... shit happened. Red Rain came down all over them.

Thirty massive torpedoes, all 1km in length and about 200m in diameter, materialized over both enemy fleets, and immediately dispersed their truly deadly cargoes, unleashing thousands upon thousands of high-yield fusion missiles on the unsuspecting fleets that targeted vessels at random and launched forward.

The large number of fusion missiles were complimented by a 750 meter ramming wedge which had originally supported the massive armament, and was now just a giant armored, shielded, and self-propelled spearhead that targeted the largest ships in sight and went into overdrive, aiming for fighter bays, primarily, and engine blocks otherwise. Neither Imperial vessel nor Protoss vessel were spared the onslaught.

"Sir, I have the full specifications on the Petulant Class ships. You were right sir, that armor of their's doesn't work forever. Every two hours it needs to be shut down and recharged. When they shut down we can destroy the ships."

"Great work Commander. Have the sensor crews keep a close watch on them, I want to fire on them the second that armor goes down."

"Aye sir."

"Larcat to Relentless, lets see if we can't catch them in a flanking maneuver. Take you battle group around the side and commence attack. I'll send group two through the center to keep them reeling."

Battle Group Three separated from the main force and swung around the side of the attacking Huntaerians letting loose a full barrage torpedoes into the side of the Huntaerian fleet as they closed the gap and opened up with their turbolaser batteries and ion cannons. Meanwhile the second group advanced on the center again, turbolasers and ion cannons flaring to life once more as they targeted the enemy capital ships. Fighters swarmed the enemy ships sending torpedoes and bombs into vital areas of the larger ships as their shields flickered and died under the onslaught from the Aurigean Fleet.

OOC: Huntaer, when you post next can you give a figure of when you need to recharge the armor so I can put in an attack? I didn't want to post that your armor went down because that wouldn't be fair considering that they are your ships. Oh and the force attacking you now is around 1000 ships. I still have group one in reserve (around 475 ships).

The glow of half a thousand ships' engines lit the night sky like stars, and they jumped to Earth. ETA? 1 hour, reverting near Jupiter.

The first Leviathans took hits, losinfg engines and weapoins to ion blasts, or losing chunks of hull plating to turbolaser shots, they were getting hit harder now that they had played their hand, but they were also hittingt back, and that was enough to keep them happy, soon Carrier\Dn PDCs woul;d come into play, and then the real damage to their attackers would begin.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Torpedoes away."

"Excellent, commence calculations to put us right in their face, set the Slaughterkings on No-Prisoners mode, and lets get ready to rumble."

Upon the Torpedoes emergence there was an immediate reaction among the Arbiters, Warp Tears opened up, both in front of the torpedoes, and amongf the Godulan fleet, they had decided, very swiftly, that the Godulans should be given their obviously large and expensive toys back, the few not caught in the tears were divided almost evenly between the TD fleet and the Huntarian forces, 3:5, 5 going after the TD fleet, and wreaking untold havoc among the fighter swarms that accompanied every fleet, but most of the attacks were distracted by the fighters, and that kept the Cap-ships safer, though a leviathan was destroyed by one of the rams, and three more were badly damaged, but the last was hit with a yamato cannon shot, enough to vaporise almost anything that was sent against it.

The shielded satellites were responded to promptly - Abuse of the armoured nose of the fighters. Sure, they'd have hell when they got back, but that was better than death, right?

Hardened nose and heavy missile made contact with the hardened satellites, whilst the pilots prayed for the expected reinforcements.

A veritable armada showed up for the party, a little unexpected.

OOC:
---Total Forces---
--Trapped Patrol Fighters--
80 'Timberworlf' Heavy S/A Fighters

--Main Armada--
80 'Faith' Point Defence Frigates (Haven't used these in a while)
Faith frigates are designed specifically to combat missiles and carriers, armed with a total of twelve six-barreled gatling rail cannons, with the ammunition to feed it through an extended battle. Employed most often where large numbers of fighters or other weaker targets are involved, carriers have been known to lose whole fighter complements to small numbers of these.

40 'Broadside' Artillery Battlecruisers
The broadside once relied upon its four three-barreled rapid fire plasma cannons to destroy capital ships at range, but have since switched to using a battery of twenty heavy anti-matter torpedoes. They have a maneuverability approximately equivalent to that of a frigate, by virtue of more compact and more minimalist design.

200 'Timberwolf' Heavy S/A Fighters

8 Logistical Freighters

The 'Millennium' Broadside Battlecruiser (Named after the TA Battleship, not the SW ship.)
'Millennium' is piloted by one RAOS-2830, and is counted among the elite battlecruisers. Having ventured through space for centuries, RAOS has amassed a goodly amount of superior equipment for his ship. Having disposed of his plasma cannons, he now has four fusion rocket pods, and a single spine mounted proton streaming cannon. The anti-matter missile launchers have been retained, however.
The Millennium is also considerable more maneuverable and heavily armoured and shielded than your average battlecruiser.

IC:
“Right! We’ll take down the Allegiances, and the fighters and faiths can swat their fighters and planes. We must thin out their space forces or god help us, none of us will make it out alive.”

The battlecruisers and Millenium turned their broadsides to the Cassiopeian ships, and lobbed a full barrage of 820 Anti-matter missiles, along with a hail of plasma fire. The fighters used the sheer mass of the attack as cover, as they streaked within the great mass.

The slower frigates (but still fast in their own right) spread out into a circular (not spherical) formation, and advanced on the starfighters.

“If we win the battle in space, we can stop the Cassiopeians from sending any further reinforcements.”

When the opening volleys had been fired, some battlecruisers pulled back for reloading, whilst others scattered and pounded on the gunships and star destroyers.

Millenium, however, opened with a hail of fusion rockets as targets for the proton beam were identified. The looming Eclipse was an obvious and ideal target for the weapon.

"Dark Star eh? We'll be seeing about that..."

A proton stream slammed into the side of the eclipse, pouring energy into the craft. The Superlaser was being struck by a weapon of its own breed.

(OOC: The 'elites' comprise only about 60 members, and are inexpendable.)

OOC: Hahaha... the woes of trying to deflect self-guided munitions... oh, and those missiles were programmed to focus on capital ships. Fighters are knocked about enough by the shockwaves of each detonation.

The Torpedoes registered this strange alteration in their position as they materialized back into space amongst the still spread out Godulans, and immediately began recalculating for a second iteration. They would KEEP doing this until there were no more torpedoes.

The Fusion missiles in each Red Rain torpedo that were dispersed before getting teleported, roughly a third of the number that had been counter ported, also registered the strange alteration and selected secondary targets to attack before their fuel was exhausted.

This primarily meant the bulk of the Cassiopeian Fleet, as the closest Godulan contingent in the area was located on the Dark Side of the moon, and while the missiles lacked the fuel to return to Old Terra proper, they had more than enough to circumvent a dead rock and plow through the enemy fleet fiddling about on the other side.

As for the ramming wedges in those torpedoes that had been duped, they simply kept their original targets and jumped right back towards the Huntarian and Mini Miehm fleets.

The Imperium Fleet has reverted to realspace, ready to fight and destroy any possible foe. But what's this? Only a portion of the fleet has arrived, in the orbit of Saturn, commanded by Chimaera, Admiral Paelleon's pride and joy. The fleet settled into the orbits of the moons, with the flag at Titan.

"Go to silent mode." The aged Admiral ordered. Quietly, the ships seemed to disappear off of major scopes as they shut down all but the most vital components, and waited...

The rest of the fleet reverted at Jupiter, and they too began to orbit around the moons and go silent, like Terran submarines. The Imperium herself is poised above Ganymede, waiting like a serpent for the enemy...quiet and deadly.

And TCG: Ya got about 750 of them Fusion Missiles heading towards ya, not just one or two. The missiles coordinate with each other so that impacts are spread out through the breadth of the targeted fleet, so each vessel in your fleet should have, depending on its size, somewhere around at least three impacts per. I'd say about ten to twenty of them would have locked onto the Eclipse.

They don't do TOO horrendous an amount of damage, as each one is about 5 megaton yield (about the same yield as one of them tri-cobalt torpedos from star trek, right?), but they work to overwhelm enemy forces with the sheer volume of the assault.

As the Red Rain continued its somewhat complicated work of ramming itself down the enemy's throat, still more ships were arriving to bring more and more materiel into the fray. The Godulans called the vessels Proto-Heighliners, and they weren't much more than giant reinforced concrete tubes with an engine and guidance computer attached.

Each of the several Heighliners unloaded some five thousand defensive drones, each about the size of a corvette and carrying four capital-class Flux Cannons, two Tachyon Torpedo tubes, and a single Protium Arc Disintegrator.

OOC: Guess I'll have ta describe the effects of each weapon as I go along in the battle.

For the moment, the drones milled about awaiting further orders.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ground targets acquired?"

"Maximillian was correct sir, the Kythons have targeting locks on multiple contacts."

"Excellent, commence targeting solution."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over Coredia, fifteen giant ramming wedges, minus the fusion missile payloads, materialized into existence and rocketed down towards the ground on overdrive, targeting what appeared to be Axis Nova, Mini Miehm, and Hatarian troop concentrations along the coastlines and some distance inland.

They would hit like small asteroids, causing quite massive devastation. The impact points had been calculated to keep Allied troop and civilian casualties to a minimum if any such deaths were to occur.

OOC: Axis Nova, TCG/Hataria, and Mini Miehm will need to RP the 'asteroid' strikes in the other thread, as will CW, as he's presently engaged in combat with all four of y'all on the ground.

OOC:
Not to mention it'd have the adverse effect of sucking up your own lasers. None of your weapons would work. Quad and Turbo lasers are both laser-types, and any Ions would still be sucked up anyway. You're trading any potential firepower for a powerful shield.

Your fighters would be sucked in by the black holes, too, as they don't have the equipment to resist the pull.

IC:
The Millenium, realising the Proton beam wasn't going to work yet, switched its fusion rocket batteries to firing on the ship (three of them, as the proton beam is spinal mounted. The other turret would need to shoot through the ship to get to it.), and the rear mounted worked on one of the allegiances.

The Proton stream was continued, for as long as a black hole had to be sustained, their own black hole could be used to destroy their fighters.

The Proton beam raked over the docking systems.

The only problem with THAT, however, was that while it was easy enough to disrupt the entering of transit, there was the simple fact that completion of transit was a completely natural event.

It was the wonderful thing about the Probability drive. You could stop it from starting with the greatest of ease, but stopping it from stopping? That's another issue altogether.

Since the Red Rain Torpedos had been thrown to beyond the orbit of the moon, they were still outside the FTL inhibition field when they commenced calculations to return. And this time, the enemy had crippled their own primary countermeasure.

The torpedoes wre little threat, even if they could return, they could also be stopped, or recalled away again, because the FTLi field was designed to have "holes" made in it, letting things in and out, the holes closed as soon as the "event" was complete though, making it almost impossible to exploit, and when the torpedoes got back, they would be sent packing. "Sir, the Red Rain Torpedos keep getting punted back out. It is quite a specialized little Inhibitor field they are utilizing."

"Reassign Targets. Have the Red Rain focus on the Cassiopeian fleet instead, and prepare the fleet for the main jump. That field will go down soon enough."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The massive Red Rain torpedoes made a final jump, centered on the Cassiopeian fleet, established preferred enemy targets, and cut loose.

Those Red Rain torpedoes that still had yet to deploy their Fusion Missile cargo did so now, and the Ramming Wedges that had been stymied before went into overdrive, targeting the largest ships in the enemy fleet.

OOC: I got the idea from Gronde. It's not my innovation.

IC:

The Red Rains wre no longer a threat to the fleet, now they just had to wait for the final push, and hope that backup arrived in time.

Well ouside the FTLi, a warp tear formed, then two, ten, one hundred, and through the tears flowed an entire Assault Fleet, twice the size of the fleet that had held off the original Coredian assault, if this, backed by a Metal Militia II class ship, and the Worldship, was not enough to beat the enemies assembling against them, nothig would be.

The Dark Star's Shield were near Overload, but the Ship was now leaveing for Earth, Because something was Coming out of Hyperspace........Something BIG!

The Centurion Ultra Star Destroyer (http://wolfsshipyard.mystarship.com/Drawings/SW/Centaurian%20Class%20Ultra%20Star%20Destroyer.jpg) had Dropped out of Hyperspace, followed by The 10th Republic Warfleet.

OOC: I'm going to be gone for about 10 days, so can someone on the Grand Alliance take control of my forces for now?

And Cassiopeia: You're just inviting a massive counterattack...

Not to mention that you've just ignored the fact that there's a huge amount of firepower standing between you and Earth, and the fact that Coreworld's Planetary defences (no doubt complete with a highly efficient anti-landing network) are still intact.

Poor dropships indeed. This really opens your fleet up to all kinds of totally improbable and utterly insane attacks that ignore one or all of the laws of physics. That, and pre-defined damage.

For all intents and purposes, they have become new satellites for the planets...

The great fleet moved from space; uncoiling from its perch about Pluto as it slid through the icy blackness. It's gleaming prows and crackling weapons were like tiny stars against the curtain of night; pinpricks of light showing through the shroud.

"Order all vessels to full stop; silent running; to proceed upon my mark."

"Aye, My Lord"

"Good" Remiel smirked softly, twirling his sword against the ground, its point driven into the deck. "Now; let us consider our options. We advance towards Jupiter; approaching Terra from above and below the Asteroid belt; which we shall utilise to our advantage, to pincer the attacking fleets. I want our way to be clear; deploy sensor probes and homing mines; seismic charges as well. Let us make sure that no surprises lie in wait for us. We cannot assume that the fighting is not spread out through Sol...Besides; a Space Marine must be ever vigilant" He chuckled lightly and rose.

"Engage"

Probes hurtled through the inky blackness, sleek and willing things; theat hunted and sought with insidious equipment; sensor probes, ready to hunt down their enemies. About them, were mines; conventional and seismic; spiked things; marked with the eight pointed star, wreathed in chains and filled with shrapnel....

So, they send their sensor probes. Not unexpected. Admiral Pellaeon smiled as he saw what the passive sensors have detected. Let us give them what they want.

Salted away at the moon Triton (Neptune) was a medium-sized space station. Now before the war, it was a research/mining station to mine frozen methane and tibanna gas from the cold planet. Now, it would be employed in the war. The soldiers there noticed the large number of sensor probes and homing mines, and they obligingly sent out a cloud of probe droids and directed them to send out signals that would simulate a Star Destroyers emissions very well, leading the enemy probes and mines away from the real targets.

Here's hoping that works...

Their waves of decections swept forward, seeking out more targets; as the miones wung towards and around the enemy probes; eventually exploding with colossal; discharge. The sensors had read wrong; mines had passed through the signature...They had been decieved.

Remiel smirked. "Crafty little bastards. Resume search; if not...I'll have the fleet reduce the area to rubble in our passing" Weapons crackled and readied; yet they waited; waited for the scanners to give them accurate topography. The scanners sensed nothing at Neptune, neither did they sense anything at Uranus. But once they came to Saturn...then they began to spot something. Was it a sensor ghost? Or something more...only a closer look would tell...

Sensors and communications were impaired for a little while, but it would not matter, for the Chronosian fleet was approaching Jupiter, and everyone knew it. In fact, it was just the perfect opportunity...

The Grand Admiral checked his watch against the coming of the enemy fleet, and nodded. It was time...

The Super Star Destroyer shrugged off the impairment and broke comms silence. "Minotaur, Velociraptor, launch the Ion Wave!"

Active sensors then went on full, but more than that, as they suddenly shot forward. Power from other systems were redirected to a special capacitor of the sensor globes. They began crackling with energy, then the energy combined in the airless space between, and built up...

then unleashed...

...a great beam of ion-cannon like energy lashed out for the enemy fleet, lashed out towards the center of the demonic foes, at the largest and/or most powerful ship in the enemy forces. And once it impacted, energy would lash greatly around the ship, blowing out enemy energy generators, collectors and the like...hopefully crippling the ship as if some kind of super-ion-cannon hit it. But it was not over yet, for the energy then lept out at the nearest ships to the target, and did the same, only a bit weaker for each ship that gets hit, dissipating as it went...

Most of their power depleted in the major attack, the two Elite Star Destroyers kicked in reverse thrusters, though much slower, back to the safety of the rest of the fleet, blind, yet with great hope that it worked and with great consternation as they recharged the systems...

"Missile cruisers..." Admiral Rommel ordered. "Fire at will!"

It was their turn. Ten missile cruisers then powered up and sent out a volley of hundreds of missiles each. Hundreds transformed into thousands and the cloud threw themselves out at the Chronosian fleet with abandon...

The Transcendant Humanity slipped forward through the thronging fleet; charging its main warp cannon in a dancing cavalcade of death; sending the blast hurtling forward through the void; followed by blasts from every othership in the fleet.
Ships were hulled and shields buckled, sending men screaming airlessly into the void, and the blast took out a Star Destroyer in one fell swoop. In reply, Rommel ordered thus. "Artillery Star Destroyers, open fire!"

From the depths of space came five mighty blasts of energy crashing through the vacuum towards the Transcendant Humanity. Individually, they were potent enough, able to cripple ships their own size and larger. But together, their power multiplied to rival that of the Eclipse's Superlaser...

Every ten seconds, staggering their fire so that it came two seconds at a time, the artillery blasts came, until they would either be destroyed or the Transcendant be destroyed. and then they would target other ships and let 'em loose.

Missles and torpedoes seared the void; mines and bombs hurtled forth, great weapons on detah primed and ready; a concentrated missle bombardment hurtled towards the centre of the enemy; IGBM's primed and hurtled towards enemy positions as Remiel sat; watching the joy of war unfold. Ships were battered and torn apart by the missile bombardments, although turbolaser cannons took out many of them. Most of the missiles however, were sent harmlessly crashing down towards Jupiter's moons, for the Imperium fleet were partially protected by the large masses that presented bigger inviting targets to the missiles.

In return, long-range heavy turbolaser bombardments began to rain forth, sending sheets of green destruction at the enemy, even as the missile cruisers lashed out with a second volley.

Battle was joined, but no one knows who would win this...

Something tells me that he has a lot more but doesn't choose to use them here. Also, remeber just because a nation sells ships does not mean that they have huge numbers of them themselves. However, I still feel that Huntaer's fleet is not a GM as I have already stated so the entire conversation is moot.

The Grand Admiral put on earphones to absorb the screaming music as he watched...incredulously as the artillery blasts were deflected by the enemy's awful cacophony of sounds. He shook his head and ordered a concentrated bombardment on the Humanity, and then called in his trump card...

From Saturn, five more volleys of missiles came roaring out of the void, as three large MAC-sized slugs and five large globs of plasma joined them, aiming for the sterns or bridges of the larger ships. A microjump later, and the sterns of the enemy ships were struck by a broadside of turbolaser and railgun cannons from mk III Star Destroyers and Shinobi battlecruisers. A second microjump, and the Chimera herself entered battle with her personal squadron of mk IIs, flanking the enemy above the orbitial plane as they lashed out with Alpha Strikes and broadsides. A third and final microjump had the rest of the Saturn-placed fleet flanking from "below" the orbitial plane.

The enemy was sundered from all sides...caught in a crossfire of turbolaser, missile, railcannon and plasma against the backdrop of Jupiter...

The Starbolts were intercepted by the few remaining Valkyries, a few hundred Wraiths, and over 600 Scouts and Corsairs, there was little chance that the enemy could get through the fighter screen, and the capships could concentrate on their larger opponents.

The Makos took their toll, but their weapons were relatively ineffective against the shields of the Capships, while the Capship guns returned fire with a vengeance and a will, dozens of Burst Laser batteries and PDCs lashed out with bolts of cobalt and argent lightning, striking at the attackers in their midst.

Indeed, it would have been a sufficient fighter screen had not the sheer number of Starbolts numbered well into the tens of thousands. The Starbolts, Strike Drones, and Makos themselves would pummel the Mini Miehm forces into submission with both sheer firepower and swarm tactics. Each of the enemy fighters inevitably found itself targeted by anywhere between three to seven Starbolts.

As for the Makos, they simply whirled through the length and breadth of the fleet, combining salvos with other ships to one-shot enemy targets when necessary, as Flux Cannons had a wonderful quality of exponentially magnifying their destructive power with each focused weapon. No shields could withstand the fury of Godulan Flux cannons, much less sustained focused fire.

This tack was also taken up by the Strike Drones themselves, which had somewhat more maneuverability on the issue, and could focus fire on noted critical systems.

As for enemy return fire, the Makos were very coordinated in their movements, sweeping to disrupt fields of fire if allied ships seemed to be showing signs of collapsing in the return fire. Several ships had been unlucky, and as a last throw of death, rammed their ships into offending enemy vessels and activating the self destruct mechanism, creating an awesome display of blue flourescence that sapped shields and disintegrated hulls.

OOC: It is important to remember that a Godulan Mako, while a small ship in and of itself, is easily capable of matching an Imperial Star Destroyer blow for blow. Godulan Focus-Fire from a single Mako would be on the same scale as your 'Yamato', not as strong as a superlaser by any means, but still devastatingly effective.

There may have been tens of thousands of enemies, but when compared to the firepower of the Scouts and Corsairs alone, it was an even match, photon cannon and plasma missiles flew out at the encroaching enemy, while invisible Wraiths covered the Valkyries, who had massive missile launchers, capable of shattering a Corellian if they had the chance, now they were targeting much smaller enemies with their Laser-warheads, and the warheads only had to reach 2500 kilometers before they were effective, giving the Valkyries a power out of proportion to their numbers.

The power of thg flux cannon was rather impressive, but the shields could take two hits, and the ships themselves generally took 3-4 more, due to their size, before dieing, and that was just the smaller Carriers, the massive Leviathans took 5 or more to kill, and not a single Metal Militia class ship had fallen so far, they were battered and bleeding atmosphere in places, but their weapons and drives were all at full capability, making them still extremely dangerous in a fight.

The MM II ripple-fired its Yamatos, the last one fired just as the first was ready to fire again, in this way it never stopped its battering on the enemy fleet, and the smaller MM Is, while unable to ripple fire as effectively, still did more than their fair share of damage to the fleets they faced.

OOC: Bull, hunt me down on IM for why, homes.

Big as a house, quick as a mouse,
An armed and armored powerhouse

One Starbolt fighter found himself smirking at the rhyme as he brought an enemy fighter in line for another round of stutterfire from his main cannons. Enemy fire struck his shields, but he shrugged them off in pursuit of his target knowing that his fighter could take a massive beating before the alarms even started up. There were simply too many of the rough and tumble Starbolts to keep track of, but every now and then...

An alarm rang out in his mind, somebody had locked onto him. The response was instinctual: In a display of the Starbolt's inhuman agility, the Starbolt juked up without even tilting its nose, swept around in a surprisingly tight and serpentine barrel roll, charged up its cannons and aimed for the enemy fighter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Yamato guns were indeed ferocious weapons, but the Makos were simply too fast in most cases to be struck. By the time the weapon could be locked, the Mako would already be ducking behind other Mini Miehm vessels.

This was not just two fleets slugging it out, the Godulan fleet was WITHIN the enemy fleet, slamming firepower into the enemy at nearly point-blank.

Still, there were too many Makos to avoid notice, and while that worked to the general advantage, it still meant that several Makos ended up activating their Plasmatic Pulse Self Destructs and ramming enemy vessels due to their inability to continue the fight. Even with the Godulans' death, they would bring oblivion to those who dared to oppose them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Strike Drones, unhindered by enemy fire for the most part, continued their onslaught on targets of opportunity, taking aim at anything that looked like it was limping through the fight and combining firepower to match the strength of several Makos at once in crushing simultaneous salvos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And then, something else started entering the fray: more and more, as if in frustration at the annoying shielding being employed by the Mini Miehm forces, strange torpedos began to emerge. They shimmered and crackled as they moved, launched by Makos and Strike Drones alike, and just before they reached enemy vessel shields, they detonated, seemingly leaving nothing behind.

However, these torpedos were specially designed to take shielded ships into account. Each torpedo, on detonation, powered a single blast of Tachyonic radiation that would do nothing to an unshielded target, however, upon incidence with most types of shielding, would be 'de-energized' into a beam of plasma that continued on past the shielding to strike as hard as a heavy turbolaser blast.

OOC: And TCG, your in-system fleet is being eaten by Kythons.

From: General Achaedus, Commander, Godulan HomeGuard

You defended against them at Numonica and were victorious, we understand and accept this. Yet you continued, and now attack their shores, their home, and by extension, you have attacked us.

We have you heavily outgunned and outnumbered, the situation here grows more dire for your allies as it progresses.

We are, however, not without mercy. As you are our allies, we shall provide you, and only you, with a singular opportunity. We shall allow all Mini Miehm forces, both Ground- and Space-based, to withdraw from the Coredian theatre peacefully and completely. "Admiral, twenty six targets have reverted to realspace and are now attacking us!"

"Very well. Have Minotaur and Velociraptor recovered?" Admiral Rommel asked as the bridge shook under bombardments.

Uh, Yes, sir."

"Very good. Have them attack the enemy fleet immediately with their personal squadrons."

Now, a two or three-on-one advantage in favor of the Cassiopeians will seem like an easy win for them, but not so, for the two Coredian Elite-class Star Destroyers have the power to fight a Super Star Destroyer together, and the personal squadrons are no slouches either.

If worst comes to worst...there was the Duel of the Fates and her fleet waiting for the signal to advance and strike with the superlaser.

Achaedus watched the battle in space over Coredia play out, and suddenly realized that there was hardly anything with an enemy tag on it. The Cassiopeian Tenth Fleet was being torn to shreds by Kython Slaughterkings, the Mini Miehm forces had switched sides, the Huntarian forces were afflicted with some form of paralysis, and for the most part, it was just a game of Whack-A-Ship for both the Godulan and Corneliuan fleets.

There was, however, a more critical battle raging out at Jupiter.

Achaedus considered the situation over Coredia, then sent the orders.

The Godulan Fleet split, with a full thousand vessels breaking off from the battle to commence probability iterations, with a new escort of five hundred Kython Slaughterkings.

The remaining forces would be enough to split themselves against the Cassiopeian and Huntarian fleets if and when any help for their respective fleets arrived, and hold their ground until the rest of the Allies came back to clean house.

The fleet went into something resembling formation, then winked out, along with five Red Rain torpedos.

And rematerialized over Jupiter. After taking stock of the situation from their newfound vantage, they entered another iteration, materializing within the Coredian fleet and engaging the Cassiopeian forces point blank with a staggering volume of fire, including Kython Ion Cannons. Once again, additional power from several Makos was shunted into the engines to act as make-shift gravity wells, focused on the Cassiopeian vessels. They weren't getting away from here either.

The Chronosians were not spared onslaught, as the five Red Rain Torpedos had materialized in a random pattern around the enemy fleet, dispersing their payloads as soon as they completed transit. The Godulans were also quick to get the locations of any and all flagships for future bombardments.

OOC: I'm forced to concur with Mini on this one. Not just because of the Yamato Cannons but also because of the fact that you were under the constant bombardment of around 40 ISD's. The combination of both of those forces by themselves would have wiped out my flagship and I can guaratee it has more powerfulshields than an SSD with or without blackhole projectors. Now I don't care that an ISD miraculously blundered into my superlaser but you'll need another one of those to block the second shot from the other Wraith Class SSD, unless of course that ISD can span the entire length of my fleet to block both superlasers. Common sense would dictate that my two SSD's are not side by side during the engagement they would present too juicy a target for the enemy.

when 3 Yamato blasts are capable of crippling an ISD(and have)

OOC: There we have a somewhat usefull quantification of the Yamato Cannon firepower, 3 can cripple an ISD. Note you said cripple no destroy thus this is a conservative estimate. Going from the 69 blasts = 40% of shields that puts the shields as equivalent to 58 ISDs. For a command ship that is not a godmod.

Going from the 69 blasts = 40% of shields that puts the shields as equivalent to 58 ISDs. For a command ship that is not a godmod.

OOC:The MM II is my Flagship, against an SSD it is almost garaunteed victory, at over 6 miles long, with ten Yamato cannon evenly dispersed over every mile of the ships length, and hundreds of Burst-laser batteries, it is easily a match for an SSD, maybe not in size, but certainly in Armament and firepower.

I should note that the crippling occurred at long range, and took out the shields of the ship involved before it did any damage to the ship in question, wheres this is at best medium range, which means that the shots are at almost full power, so call it triple the strength of the hits in question, now do the math.

I think it took one more hit for the kill, if that's any help.

EDIT: Actually, you know what, screw it, I'll just bring in the Sixth fleet, complete with the Dark Lord of the Sixth, nothing is gonna stop Helmut on a rampage, especially when he unloads his missile pods, putting over 4,000 missiles into space with one salvo from a single ship.(Towed missile pods are very large, and hold ALOT of missiles, laser warhead missiles actually, that detonate at 25,000 Kilometers from their target, sending alot of lasers in the SSDs general direction, not even an SSD can take that kind of damage.)

OOC: If you're going for 1 shot to cripple an ISD than the other ship should have heavy hull damage.

OOC: Call it more like one and a half-one and a quarter, but yes, at that range he should have at least lost his shields and taken minimal damage.

See, the Yamato Cannon has a drawback, it loses power over range, at point blank(less than about 2000 kilometers) it should kill an ISD in one shot, at medium(2,000-about 5,000 kilometers) it should cripple it in one hit, at over 5,000 but less than maximium range it should deal massive damage to shields, with the damage grading downwards as the range increases, up to no damage at over 10,000 kilometers. The fight is occuring at about 3,000 kilometers range for my MM ships. I hope that clears things up.

The Tenth Fleet was lost, but one ship was still around. The Revenge was heading for Jupiter to attack the enemy. now thing were Really Heating up.

Progress was slow however, as the Kython War Machine simply flowed about around it, with several Godulan Makos keeping up the Interdictor effect to prevent it from attempting to jump away.

Thousands of Ion Cannons slapped into the enemy vessel's hull and shields with the sole intent of rendering the ship helpless, before the Kythons initiated their Light Discs and commenced the precise dissection of the massive vessel.

Behind them, Kython Con-Spiders had materialized into existence, grappling onto various pieces left behind by the Kython's crushing assault against the Cassiopeian fleet, and vanishing with their cargo. Soon, nothing remained of the devastated enemy fleet but a few useless corpses floating in the void.

The Godulan vessels that had completed Transit over Jupiter now commenced concentrated assaults throughout the Chronosian fleet, with a Kython contingent accompanying their strike, and a second contingent remaining behind to literally rip into the Cassiopeian fleet, once again with several Mako escorts pumping power into their engines to create interdiction fields against several key vessels.

And through all this, the Kingdom Come and its cohorts continued the concentrated assault on the stranded enemy beachhead on Atlantica island.

OOC: First off, I know he was talking about my ships and I completely understood what was happening in the post. Second of all, am I the only one here who doesn't think that in space everything needs to be on the same plane? Did it ever occur to you that my other SSD could have been lower than the Cassiopiean SSD which would mean that I wouldn't take out Coreworlds' ship? And my original statement still stands, how can one ISD block the entire length of a fleet when the ships are spread out at least three times it's length and above and below it by many times it's height. It just doesn't make sense. It's not like I'm engaging them at point blank range where it would be easy for a single ISD to block the fire. If you note my last post, I had just entered my maximum firing range.

The Imperial vessels returned fire; concentrating their volleys of fire on the newly arrived Godulans, even as assaults tore through their ranks. Ships burned in the void, but the Godulans would notice that the damage inflicted was nowhere near as terrible as Thorn. The Chronosians had learned from their mistakes, and the spread out, heavily shielded fleet, did not succumb so easily to the Red Rain bombardments.

"Return fire....now" Remiel hissed

The first barrage surged forth, raw gouts of energy; missles tearing at the voids like leeches destined for their prey, as well as other attacks; torpedoes; mines; bombs; a lancing arcing strike of IGBM's; all destined for the Godulan fleet.

The second was a lashing volley of Graviton weapons.

And with my allies in the picture, there's no way in hell you're going to get near my ship without very heavy damage, even for the Black-hole shielded SSD. The Godulans were quick to react, probability jumping out of the general area, then commencing a strange sort of FTL hopscotch, eventually finishing with the Godulan fleet, once again, materializing deep within the confines of the Chronosian fleet...

A goodly number of vessels were intercepted however, being the case as always that they only need to get lucky once to smack you dead, missiles overwhelmed several Godulan targets, shattering them even before they had the chance to engage the self destruct sequence.

However, the Godulans always... ALWAYS had tricks up their sleeves.

A single message went out to the Chronosian fleet as cannonfire erupted in their midst:

Perhaps you did not hear us right the first time... we ALWAYS have backups.

The fire from each Mako lessened slightly, and the runes shifting about on each vessel gleamed with a strange inner light.

And then it happened. A strange pulse of energy rippled out from each Mako as it dodged and weaved through the enemy fleet, the strange shockwave reaching out towards various ships, seemingly doing no damage.

However, to any and all Chronosian troops within the affected vessels, it would have seemed at first as though a deafening screech, like thousands of chalkboards being rubbed with jagged rocks, had erupted into their minds, followed by colossal surges of primal emotions ranging from fear to hatred to joy to soulshredding awe. Those affected by fear would scratch at their eyes in terror, screaming without pause. Those affected by hatred would lash out at anything and everything, nearly crushing their own bones as they attacked each other and any objects nearby. Those affected by joy would spin around in a daze, laughing without pause, possibly even suffocating from inability to take sufficient breath. And those struck by awe, would simply stand there, dumbstruck.

The Godulans had never made much light of their Psionic powers, although the Balroggans and Coredians new exactly how powerful Baron Skye and his Savants were in the matters of the mind. The captain of every Godulan vessel was an M'Lekk'Torr Psion, trained by Skye's savants and fully aware of what his powers allowed him. Aboard each vessel was an item known as a Psionic Amplification Matrix, which helped the Psion create affects far greater than his mind could possibly allow, utilizing the untapped reservoir of the Mako's Neurosynaptic Circuitry and the vessel's own power sources to strengthen the force of their Confusion field.

To any who managed through some miracle to resist the effects, they could hear only one thing:

Laughter...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oddly enough, if one were to have been watching the Kythons at the time of this massive psionic strike, they would have seen that the Slaughterkings and Slaymasters had become even more frenzied in their movements than they usually were...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

OOC: And yes, I've had these things for a long time. Just never bothered to use 'em. It won't kill your ships, but chances are there's gonna be some pretty heavy personnel casualties, to say nothing of something like this happening while being attacked from three sides...

Remiel yawned softly as a guardsman ran screamign across the deck, grasping his head, before said head was removed by way of Worldrender. "Psychic tricks, is that really all you have to fall back on, little race?" He spat to one side; his mind thrumming with pent up energy. All across the fleet; the Chronosian psykers counteracted the effects, soul-binding and Psychic Hoods protecting them; their own psychic waves pacifying their herd. Deaths were minor, dozens upon each vessel; an entire ship detonated as insane and desperate crewmen engaged self-destruction; plunging in flames towards the Godulans.

The counterattack came swiftly. FTLi fields engaged; weapons thrummed; crackles of energy hurtling towards their prey at close range; even as more of their fleet was torn aside from within and without, by bombardments and attacks...Remiel smirked; and forced his mind forth, in unity with every psyker and sorceror in the fleet; against the enemy psykers. They had no tricks of emotions or silly pissant little sounds; they went straight for the kill; to destroy each Psion's mind from within....Even as their own fleet continued to fire upon the Godulans.

Other ships turned, bombarding Coreworlders and Corelians with antimatter bombs, warp cannons, gravitational weaponry, and other devices which invoked both fear and awe upon each side.

The Confusion field ended almost as quickly as it began, with the Makos returning to their previous firepower... plus something additional.

The Captain-Psions had their own defense mechanism against external mental incursions, in that their M'Lekk'Torr symbiote would send a wave of more focused psionic energy back to the invader such that instead of driving them insane, would simply overload their minds like a lightning bolt. Protection on both sides simply meant that both sides felt an annoying buzzing sound in their minds...

All it took was for the Godulans to decide on which attack would work best, and their second weapon came almost as swiftly as the first effect parted.

The runes separated themselves from the hull of each vessel, and began interposing themselves between the Godulan and Chronosian vessels. The Godulan vessels began firing through these strange runes, which burst with a strange light each time the Flux Cannon fire went through it. The Captain-Psion was now empowering each strike with additional psychokinetic power, enabling each shot to strike with approximately twice its normal impact.

At the same time, each Mako had sped up slightly and was now releasing full salvos of Phase and Tachyon torpedos at anything within range, creating an incomprehensible cloud of crossfire throughout the fleets.

While this occured, the last wave struck. Piercing through the FTLi, although unable to depart once they arrived, the Godulan Strike Drone Swarm had recognized the Chronosian fleet as the greatest threat at the moment, and now focused the entirety of its firepower on the great Chaos ships.

"Captain, our reinforcements are waiting for your command."

"Good, inform the Grand Admiral immediatly."

Back on the Sabertooth...

"Admiral incoming message from Captain Greene. Our new fleet has just arrived out-system. They are waiting cloaked for your orders."

"Bring them in-system and have them attack the enemies rear guard then we will have them completely surrounded. The battle will be swift and decisive. Then we can bring ourselves to more pressing matters, like the huge enemy incursion near the Demonic Deserts."

"Aye sir, transmitting."

Just outside the Sol System...

The second fleet of Beta Aurigae VII waited like a crouched tiger ready to strike.

"Admiral, we have an incoming transmission from Admiral Larcat. He orders us to attack the enemy rear guard and complete the encirclement."

"Ok let's do it. Move the fleet into position and disengage the cloaking fields on my mark."

The fleet entered the system silently. They slowly came into range of the battle around Jupiter.

"We will be in optimum firing range in ten seconds sir."

"Focus around sector three that seems to be the heaviest concentration of enemy ships."

"Firing range reached sir and all ships report ready."

"Disengage cloaking field and commence firing."

Suddenly the large Aurigean fleet appeared directly behind the enemy all of their weapons blazing catching the enemy by suprise. They used the element of suprise well, targeting the capital ships with superlasers hitting them in the exposed aft sections. Wreaking destruction throughout the enemy formation. The element of suprise wasted, the Aurigeans prepared for the hard slog that would be the coming battle.

The Hakurabi force had been decimated by the extremely large (and mind bogglingly improbable) fleet that had been sent by the Cassiopeians. Few survivors were left, and even those were crippled.

More extreme measures would be required to defeat the improbably powerful shielding employed by the Cassiopeians.

When the carnage had settled, the battle moved to Jupiter, the remaining ships were left to consider their options.

The Millenium was crippled and there were four remaining battlecruisers of the once reasonable navy.

As construction vessels hyperspaced in and patched up the survivors, a different strategy was realised.

Cassiopeian shields employed gravitics.

Hakurabi shields also employed gravitics.

More specifically, Hakurabi's used anti-gravity.

The Anti-Matter missiles were retrofitted to activate anti-gravity devices at the rear of the warheads and detonate when the gravity hit a certain threshold. (OOC: This should be devastating to your ships in paticular, Cassiopeia, as it would lob the warhead at the hypothetical escape velocity of a black hole at your ship.)

However, the unfortunate thinning of the Battlecruiser ranks meant that for now, only a few could be deployed.

OOC: New Fleet Ranks.
10x Broadsides w/ anti-BHG missiles
Millenium w/ anti-BHG missiles
20x Faiths
2x Logistical Freighters

Their smaller numbers meant that they could only pick and choose their prey, but it was enough.

The fleet split into three groups - two broadside/faith groups escorting the freighters and the Millenium with two Broadsides and four Faiths.

The Dark Star would not be getting away this time.

Whilst the two battlegroups orbited the Bellerophon, the Millenium was intent on finishing the job. A volley of the retrofitted missiles was fired at the ship, and soon followed by a barrage of plasma and rocket fire. The Proton Streamer was to be saved for the moment, for its use required the spinal mounted weapon to be facing the ship.

The battlegroups fired their entire barrages on the Bellerophon and pounded it with plasma fire as the freighters launched little subunits to reload the battlecruisers.

In support of the Coredian assault, Foehammer and his surviving squadron moved in as backup, their misile racks were mostly empty, but they were the heaviest and most agile fighters in the TD fleet, and they had one thing left going for them, their Special Weapons mounts, at Foehammers orders they had been changed in the short time the fleet was gone, now they bore massive Grav-Cannon, they had only 3 shots each, but the shots were each powerful enough to punch through an ISD the long way, this SSD was toast. The only drawback to the Grav-cannon was that they were dead in space for 10 seconds after firing, but there was usuaslly nothing capable of damaging them left after they used the cannon, so it was considered worth the risk, this time it was almost certain that a few would be lost though, since there was little chance that everything would be destroyed when they fired, it was just a risk they'd have to take.

As the Revenge approached, the Kython Slaughterkings tearing their way through the Cassiopeian fleet already present, maneuvered to engulf the Super Star Destroyer itself, putting up even more of a hurting on the enemy fleet.

----------------------------EDIT------------------------------------------

OOC: Oh, and I almost forgot...

Meanwhilst, the Makos were having a surprisingly hard time with the Chronosian fleet. But they were certainly giving as good as they were getting. The Chronosians had been remarkably resilient against the Godulan Confusion field, so the Godulans had settled for psionically enhancing their respective vessels' firepower. Right now, the Makos had essentially gotten themselves into a slugfest with a larger and somewhat more suicidal enemy.

However, in a somewhat surprising turn, another ten Red Rain torpedoes had materialized around the Chronosian fleet, dispersing their payloads towards the Chronosian vessels. The Fusion missiles each locked onto specific enemy targets and hurtled forth, leveling another swarm of missiles upon the Chronosian fleet, while the Makos were still in what they called the Melee.

The drawback to spreading themselves out, as the Chronosians were about to find out, was that the Godulans now had the option of being able to concentrate volleys of Red Rain on the fleet, without requiring the Makos to iterate out first. The Makos, as a result of being able to stay somewhat further away from the enemy vessels, would be relatively unharmed by the assault. They might lose some vessels, but not quickly enough to prevent them from dive-bombing the nearest enemy battleship.

You're not taking note of the fact that you're trying to jump out UNDER DIRECT FIRE. Ships are nearby, and interdicting any easy jump out for this paticular skirmish.

As soon as it was discovered that the Bellerophon was not using the gravitic shields of the Dark Star, the battlegroups took on a new strategy.

Ships ruptured and tore apart by the immense bombardments, but the fleet fought back with a ferocity that matched their foes. Green death poured from the wedge-shapes of Star Destroyers, missiles shot forth from Star Cruisers, railcannons zipped from Shinobi Cruisers, plasma bolts rained from the Dragonstorm Battlecruisers and random large slugs or asteroids were thrown by the Hokage Battleships, all concentrating their firepower on the larger enemy ships then working their way down from there...
Beta Aurigae VII

OOC: This new fleet is exactly the same as the first one I sent so for numbers just look in the OOC thread.

OOC: I was attacking you Chronosia in this post. Sorry, that I didn't direct the post at you to begin with, completely my fault.

The Corneliu Fleet continues to fire at the Chronosia fleet with a barrage of anti-matter torpedoes.

"Keep up the pressure. I want them all eliminated from Coredia space!" Server was shouting.

The fleet continued to pour on the pressure on the Chronosian fleet!

The most powerful ship of the Terran Fleet was the single comissioned MM II, and it was being hammered, even with three layers of independent shields, and armor capable of taking hits from hundreds of Turbolasers, it was a battered juggernaut, but it was a very powerful battered juggernaut, and it lashed the Chronosians with Yamato fire in a ripple, a battered juggernaut was hammering away at the enemy fleets, and it was taking a bit worse than it was giving, but it held on, three guns were gone, anmd it held on, nothing could stop the Dark Lord of the Sixth...

The ships of the 3rd fleet could not hope but notice the teleportation of the egg into the Chronosians ship, they immediately knew something was wrong, and the seven remaining Leviathans opened up every weapon they had onto that single ship, three were at close, 1 was at medium, the other three wre at the far edge of their range, but hopefully they could still kill the enemy with sevn Yamato shits, they didn't have anything else but their lasers, and those were not very powerful, not powerful eough to destroy a ship, but enough to put a hurt on it, and so they did.

2) How can you dictate exactly where my ships are in relation to yours when you don't even know where my ships are?

Dunno about MM, but I am presently assuming "Over Coredia, preparing to wig out"

I personally ain't gonna do anything because I've got something in the works that would make for a very interesting battle with yer new 'acquisition' indeed.

I assume it is relatively near the planet.

And I say where I think my ships are in relation to yours, for my ships long range is anything between 5k klicks, and 10k klicks, medium is 2-5k klicks, short is less than 2k klicks.

High above; the egg was still in isolation; stored in a room similar in composition to a Geneseed storage facility; heavily armored and defended against even the most terrible of bombardments. As the ship turned, preparing to return to the warp; the other ships went with it; a defensive wall to protect them until they escaped from this system. They would bring this brave new discovery to the Mechanicus; they would survive....

As the Miehmian attacks rocked the ship; shields holding, hull rent here and there; the other ships opened fire; Remiel's flagship hurling a collosal blast of warp energy towards them, as missles and torpedoes hurtled towards the enemy vessels; the egg transported to the furthest away shift; readying for a warp jump. The fleet maintaining their attacks; the location of the egg unknown by the enemy; the ship they had last detected it on plunged through the formation; all weapons ablaze; as it rammed towards the enemy; ready to sacrifice itself for the greater good of the Emperor's Will.

A leviathan went down under the fire, the rest backed down, they weren't sure where the egg was, and it would be futile to try now, they were all shattered hulks, battered and wrecked, they warped out, in a very different direction from the Chronosians.

Near Jupiter
Space crackled open, creating a bright hyperspace rift as if the angels have torn space-time open themselves. Out of the rift came the Duel of the Fates and its personal Star Destroyer escorts, and they gave a morale boost that went right through the roof, and the entire fleet, if ever was possible, intensifed their firepower.

Admiral Swenson saw that the enemy fleet was still going a bit strong. "Target the nearest enemy battleship, and let 'er rip!"

Energy drew into the barrel of the Star Battleship's primary weapon and pulsed out towards one of Chronosia's ships, followed a few seconds later by a massive volley of the rest of the weapons and escorts' weapons. The tide has turned in favor of the Coredians...

The Bellerophon soon started heading for the enemy ship Duel of The Fates at full Speed, Ramming Speed, it it was going down, it would go down Fighting!.
The trap was sprung for the enemy flagship, for the Voidbringer Squadron has begun throwing three volleys of one gravitic missile into it, making thirty six missiles being that 12 x 1 x 3 = 36. Each missile will -upon impact- form a small black hole that tore apart space-time, ripping pieces of the ship at a time. While one black hole was small enough for a ship the size of the Bellerophon to possibly survive, 36 was a killer, for it was being torn apart from all sides.

OOC:
They're not true black holes, but more like gravitational hyperspace rifts since we can control their yield almost at will, so it's a misnomer that stuck. They volatile nature of the rift means that even fighters with hyperdrives will be torn apart upon entrance. Larger ships may survive, but the damage would be horrendous.

Whilst the Millenium and cohorts were finishing the Dark Star, The battlegroups saw a unique opportunity to seal the fate of the Bellerophon. A full barrage of the Retrofitted missiles were fired at the Bellerophon, alongside the gravitic missiles, so if by any possibility the ship survived the intense gravitic assault, the triggered missiles would finish it.
