Jim Narsh sat at his desk in his presidential office. A few minutes ago SkyCapt news networks had broadcast the fact that SkyCapt had declared war on the MilleniumGroup. At this announcment, thousands of people had been shocked, and the cities all over SkyCapt were both stunned and scared. But a few were confident that SkyCapt would win.
--------------------------------------------
The Victorious was loaded to the brim with fighters, soldiers, and helicopters, and all was tense. F-42's lined the deck, and multiple soldiers were watching with awe at the intense roar of the jet engines. Deafening explosions sounded on the deck as the fighters landed, took-off, or shut down their engines. A vast armada of troop ships, carriers, submarines, battleships, minelayers, and destroyers sourrounded the Carp, a small ship in a fleet of 120 ships, all destined for The Empire of TheMilleniumGroup...
---------------------------------------------
40 B-94T's flew in formation, each one packed with 3 Paratrooper Squadrons, a total of 90 men each. Down below, B-92 Shockers refitted to carry Paratroopers were each loaded 2 Squadrons of Shadow Squadrons, the elite of SkyCapt's armed forces.
---------------------------------------------
An armada of modern-day Zeppelins, all polished, new, and pristine, ponderously trudged on, glittering in the dusk sun, each armed with 150,000Lbs of bombs stored in the hangers, where planes would have been stationed. A crew of 60 for each one monitored every part of the Zeppelin via systems newly created just these. The gunnery crews stationed outside manned the AA guns, ready to take out anything the Midian forces had to throw at them...

"So, it is var that ze vant? VAR!" The cackle of the Major echoed through the facility; as he turned, whirling; fanged teeth gleaming in a serpents grin. He advanced, standing at the Balcony; each soldier and their commanders raising their arms in salute.

"HEIL! ZIEG HEIL!"

"Today, my brothers; we stand at the brink of Madness. We stand, face to face with the enemy. But we will prevail! We with our armies of Midians! We who have survived the fall of the Reich! WE WHO ARE THE REICH!"

"HEIL!"

"Ready yourselves; glorious war comes. The pretty frauleins of the SkyCapt think they can defeat us; their men and women all lined up in a row. Let them come; it is always so very lovely, to find someone who delivers."

The Tondayo flew on through the night, it's passengers anxiously standing in line. "Henders," a Lieutenant called out, "you've been with these guys before, how are they?" "Like the devil," Sgt.Henders yelled, his voice hoarse, still recovering from his somewhat recent encounter. The jumpmaster went into the cockpit, then came out. "WE'RE OUT IN 5!" Henders cursed, then ordered his men to get ready. Everyone tensed...
----------------------------------------------------
The B-92's trudged on, their engines screaming loudly for the Midian's below to just shoot them. 1Lt. Sarah Wade stood in line, watching the door light... It turned green, and the plane's interior took on a green hue, and the Shadow Troopers jumped out, and scores of dark parachutes temporarily blotted out the moon. Gunfire erupted, and musket balls flew everywhere around 1Lt. Wade. 5 minutes more, and the B-94's deployed their deadly cargo... A planes engine caught fire, and fell into the ground. A glaring flash illuminated the skies, and black smoke went higher and higher...
-----------------------------------------------------
Sgt. Henders of Alpha Squadron ran into the underbrush, firing sporadically at the bright flashes in the bushes. His squad ran beside him, his medic gasping under his heavy load of bandages, first aid, and finally, his rifle. A plane fell into the ground about 200 meters away, the shockwaves hitting him and his squad. They fell to the ground right as a line fire come from somewhere infront of them. A private next to him yelled out in pain, syaing loudly he had been hit. He looked at Henders with clear eyes, clutching his rifle tightly. "Wha," Henders said, "Where are ya hit?!" The private quietly but quickly said he wasn't hit, just as a medic ran up. "What happened?" "Nothin', he just scratched his leg. He'll be fine..." Henders looked up, and ordered his squad to move...

The Myriad, the flagship of SkyCapt's Zeppelin Fleet, flew over the currently known Millenium lines. The early dawn sky reflected off the steel armor covering the Myriad. "30 Seconds 'till we're over the bomb site!" The gunners outside cocked their Machine Guns, watching to see if any Midian piloted planes would attack... Inside, the bomb operator began counting off the seconds. "10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4..." He reached zero, and a multitude of bombs rained down, exploding after 10 seconds, sending a spray of shrapnel and fire over the ground below. Other zeppelins began doing the same, and the ground lit up in a furious wave of fire...

THe Majority of Millenium lay underground; deep in the mountains and jungles of South America; deep beneath the earth where no light could penetrate. The resounding rumble of falling bombs; the roar of gunfire above; sparked a heat and a desire in the heart of each and every Millenium soldier. The ground shook, sundered; AA guns rising from concealed platforms to open fire against the Zeppelin invaders. Hatches slid open; doors opened; and the soldiers advanced; the initial roar of concealed artillery bursting free from mountain hiding places was quickly dwarved by the wave of artillery destined for the enemy. Atop one AA platform; Rip stood; twirling her Musket; before opening fire....Against a zeppelin; the implacable bullets hurtling straight towards their mark; to richocet and kill without distinction...

On the ground; Heavily armed Milenum soldiers surged forth; their Panzerfausts littering the jungle with firey death; and blasts that hurtled towards the enemy above. Mp40 fire racked the jungle; as heavy machine gun points took aim at enemy troops; even as Midians fell to the enemies advance.

The muscled, tatooed form of Zorin Blitz rose above the enemy; her eyes hugnry; her fangs sharp; as she let loose with great swinging arcs of her Scythe. The Captain, armed with two swords; plunged against isolated groups of the enemy; while Doc stood at the side of the Major; monitoring everything from the Millenium Headquarters; the scenes of war and bloodshed plastered across the great viewscreens; Schrodinger watched with barely contianed glee, the Wolf-eared boy sat at the Major'sside; feeling the idle hand ruffle his hair.

"My dear Doctor; is human irrationality not beautiful?"

Capt. Hillman, reassigned to Dog Squadron, plunged through the jungles, leading 2 more squadrons whose leaders had died in the initial run. He had seen bloodshed before, but these... Things, these mindless killers, they had unleashed a part of war he had never seen. They seemed to be demons, conjured up from his worst nightmare, despite their normal human looks. Deeper and deeper he ran, stopping only to fire and reload. A swarm of troopers ran towards him, and he halted his men, both familiar and new, and waited for the new cluster of soldiers to arrive. "Sir," a young sergeant half gasped, "HQ wants you to pull back, they're sending a flight of bombers this way." "OK." The soldiers ran off, only to have half of them killed and wounded by MP40 and rifle fire. A grenade from somewhere landed next to him, and he picked it up and threw it back. A chorus of painful screams erupted, following the explosion that had occured. He turned around, ran up to what used to have been a temple of sorts, and tossed a 'nade in. He hunched down as a few splatters of blood flew out, followed by debris and parts of mangled weapons. He got up, looked in, and almost threw up. He turned away, right as artillery fell into the ground, kicking up waves of blood, heat, and sand. An F-62 roared overhead, deploying napalm canisters at intervals of 5 seconds. 30 in all were dropped, and a huge blaze erputed, accompanied by screams and explosions...

1Lt. Sarah Wade was resting against a ruined wall, part of a building destroyed long ago. It had been a long day, one that had started at 3:00 in the morning, and one that had ended 2 hours ago. She was exhausted, having seen more bloodshed in one day than she had in her entire career. She and her squadron had been halfway to hell and back, facing those... Demons, ones that had fought like lock, stock, and barrel. They might have had muskets and SMG's, but they knew how to used them. And their war cries... She shuddered, and pulled her trousers closer around her, and gripped her rifle tighter, peering around the dark scenery. Gunfire could be heard off in the distance, along with the occasional roar of Midian Artillery. Earlier that day, Zeppelins were seen in position, raining death and destruction on enemy bases and installations. Yet hundreds, no, thousands of Millenium Soldiers had charged them, running through the jungles. It had reminded her of Vietnam and Korea, having read about those wars in school. Almost absent-mindedly, she checked her ammo: 3 Clips left. She cursed softly, and replaced the magazines. Suddenly hundreds of flashes appeared all around her, and bullets slammed into bodies and buildings alike. Men jumped up and began firing into the shrubbery surrounding the makeshift camp, but they apperently had no effect. A grenade was tossed out, and 3 trees exploded and caught on fire, crashing down, and setting more trees on fire. She was able to see hundreds of menacing faces staring into their camp, and suddenly she was filled with terror as Midians charged into the camp. She hopped up and downed 15 before running out of ammo. She gave a bloodcurdling yell and reloaded, then fired wildy into the enemy ranks. A medic ran up behind her, yelling for cover while he worked on a dying man. She yelled an OK, then suddenly felt a hot, stinging sensation in her arm. She cried out in pain, then dropped next to the wall that had been her resting post. Wade called for a medic, all the while clutching her arm, critting her teeth in pain. The medic looked up, and ran over, dragging her back to the medical tent. A Midian soldier, an officer by his looks, walked in front of them, and they both raised their hands, breathlessly awaiting his response...

Wade would never become part of the MilleniumGroup. But she wised to survive. Prisoner of war sounded better than nothing. She looked around, and saw other soldiers doing likewise...

The Landsman droned on, the pilots and crew standing in the bridge, searching for any signs of Millenium camps. Suddenly AA towers popped up, and began firing shells into the Zeppelin. A few bounced off the armor plating, whereas most flew through the plating into various parts of the airship. An unexploded shell flew into the cockpit, and a crewmen yelled in surprise. Troops below watched in shock as the cockpit desintegrated, shreds floating down, as the rest of the warship exploded, killing any potential survivors. The payload inside also exploded, and many soldiers dropped to the ground, smothered by the deafening sound itself. The Pandora*, close by, was blown off-course, and the crew struggled to bring it back, trying to right the heavy mass of airfilled metal. A 8,000Lbs bomb came loose from its holding clamps, and dropped into the trees below, destroying to AA mounts. The Pandora finally righted itself, but the AA guns trained their muzzles on the struggling craft. Another massive series of explosions, shockwaves, and sounds came forth. Men began strugglign to continue on, but were stopped by the myriad of nerve-wracking explosions. It finally stopped, but not before artillery shells came in. "Why don't the f*ckers quit?!" A greenhorn screamed, drowned out by the distant and close-by explosions. A few Zeps were hit by the artillery, and men began bailing out. Parachutes lined the sky. It finally stopped, and mangled corpses were laying on the ground... A soldier threw up, and another one remarked that he should've asked to be stationed in Algeristan. The Captain told them every soldier in other theater were coming here, or would be in the near future. They finally plunged on, talking in quiet tones, joking, conversing, or just watching for an ambush, which would more than likely happen...

The commanders on board the carriers outside of enemy shores, recieved a transmission from Halberdgardia, requesting enemy coordinates. "Enemy locations?" He remarked, "They don't exist. Tell the Halberdgardian Airforce to bomb the entire jungles outside of our established bases. Might as well ask them to have their bombers form up with ours and commence joint bombing runs, while your at it." A wing of fighters returned just then from a strike mission at the enemies last known location. All of them had their entire loadouts still. "Get on the radio and ask them why they are still fully loaded," he nearly yelled at his radio operator. Every other mission turned out like this, unless it was B-94's going out, loaded with paratroopers. In that case, sometimes the planes themselves didn't return...

Bombers were sitting on the runway, being loaded with ordnance and fuel in preparation for their run on MilleniumGroup forces. The flight time between Halberdgardia and SkyCapt was long, so the take-off would be timed such that the bombers would arrive during the night. It would be approximately one hour before the force would be underway.

The cloudy skies blocked out the moon, ensuring the Knighthawk would not be spotted visually. Jets below turned off, loaded with HE bombs, with orders to bomb another part of the jungles, creating a distraction...

The bomber force was now underway, and had been in the air for hours. They were almost over their targets. Since the SkyCapt command had not been able to lock down any specific coordinates for a strike, the bombers were instead going to perform a general carpet-bombing strike. The air armada was huge: 36 F-117A Nighthawk fighters preceded the main force, ready to strike the AA guns before the main force arrived. Behind the Nighthawks were the most-feared component of the Halberdgardian Air Force: 48 Space Union-made B-300 "Hurricane" heavy supersonic strategic bombers (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9449226&postcount=23). Escorting the bombers were 48 deadly Tyrandis-made TSF-616 "Eidolon" air superiority fighters (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9449160&postcount=22).

The F-117s closed in on the AA installations. Using their stealth to give them a first-strike advantage, they dropped their payloads of 14 various bombs each, making for a total of 504 bombs dropped. The bombs leveled dozens of AA guns and SAM launchers throughout the target forest area, homing in on the weapons' conspicuous IR signatures. While they could not have eliminated all the AA defenses, they would have destroyed enough to sow chaos among the MilleniumGroup forces, enabling the bombers to do their jobs.

Shortly after that attack, whatever tranquility the night had left was shattered. Sonic booms pierced the darkness as the B-300s accelerated to Mach 1.6, and dropped their payloads. And what a massive payload it was: each B-300 carried 200,000 pounds of munitions, and with 48 of them acting in concert, the sheer amount of devastation they could wreak was mind-boggling. The force of all 48 B-300s carried a combined payload approximately 1.5 times the total tonnage of bombs dropped by Allied forces in two days of bombing of the German city of Dresden in February 1945. The 9,600,000 pounds of munitions carried by the B-300s were comprised of mainly napalm, and MOABs, or Massive Ordnance Air Bursts. Approximately 114 21,000-pound MOABs, along with 7,200,000 pounds of napalm, were dropped in a carpet-bomb fashion over the forest area. The 114 MOABs hit first, spawning massive explosions and miniature mushroom clouds over the forest (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/images/030311-d-9085m-004.mpg), followed up by the napalm. Hundreds upon hundreds of square yards of forest went up in a napalm-fueled inferno so massive it defied description. There could be nothing left alive inside.

With no enemy fighters appearing to challenge them, the B-300s swung around and accelerated to their maximum speed of Mach 2.2, headed for home. The F-117s and Eidolons lingered only long enough to delay any enemy fighters that might have shown up late, then followed the bombers out.

SkyCapt Bombers, behind the Halberdgardian airwing by 1 hour, armed their bombs, and began precision strikes, targeting the ground marked by the homing beacons. Half of them had worked, and the rest were laying idly, waiting to be found by Millenium Patrols. Fighter Wings from various carriers followed behind, targeting patches of ground which had been the last known positions of the Midian lines. PSB-2's fell from the sky, taking out key AA positions, what appeared to be occupied bases exposed by the earlier bombing runs, and apparent convoy paths. Napalm Canisters, High Explosive Smart Bombs, and Concrete Penetrating Timed Implosion Bombs detonated all over the scenery, penetrating deep into the ground, in areas which SkyCapt HQ hoped would be covering the extensive network of underground bunkers and tunnels...

All and any remaining AA guns fired; intent on bringing their enemies down; fighters roared from hangers, and the majority of troops remained underground. The countless troops above had been slaughtered; destroyed in treahcerous bombardments. But Millenium would, not give up; it could not give up....Missles roared from their silos; great V2 rockets, great roaring weapons of war. The Midian troops beneath the ground felt the shudder as their corridors were sundered; but they would not relent; they could not relent...

In the control room; trajectories were being plotted out; missles were launched; soaring through the stratosphere, towards seemingly important cities throughout their attackers homelands. They would punish them for their deceit.

Fighters filled the air; plunging in suicidal madness towards the enemy with relentless zeal.

Their bombing had hurt them, but it would not destroy them....

Suddenly the com channels came alive with reports that enemy aircraft had scrambled. "Frick, OK, Red Wing, engage those fighters, we'll take out as many of these outdated rockets as possible. Tell HQ to relay the message that enemy rockets are heading for SkyCapt." The message was relayed, and all over SkyCapt, people began moving for underground shelters, protected by 20ft of Concrete and steel plating. Meanwhile the 4 fighters began firing upon the rockets, and multiple V2's exploded. One exploded too close, and a fighter caught fire, the pilot bailing out, sure to be caught by a Millenium patrol. Red wing was caught in a huge fight, engaged with fighters old and new. Fighter remnants fell from the sky, trailing fire and smoke. The skies were a crimson color as evening fell, and black smoke substituted clouds...

The antiquated V2s had been easily detected by Halberdgardia's now-extensive ABM system. They could have utilized the awesome power of MADAE to put the missiles down, but there would be little point in wasting that's weapon's terrifying effectiveness against these antiques. Instead, Leafanistani-designed, Halberdgardian-built Microwave LASER satellites and ground installations activated, acquired targeting locks from ground-based radar, and fired at the missiles, attacking them with intense beams of microwave energy. The weapons had been upgraded by the Leafanistanis for increased power and take-down speed; a two-second-long pulse was enough to fry the electronics of a missile, rendering it a useless piece of junk. And just out of spite, Patriot missile batteries across Halberdgardia activated, tracked the now-disabled missiles, and shot them down from the sky.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 48 Eidolons escorting the B-300 bombers noticed as they flew back towards home that their SkyCapt allies were engaging MilleniumGroup fighters. They unanimously agreed to turn back. The Eidolons pulled around in a tight loop and made their way towards the site of the battle. The pilots pulled the rakish-looking wings of their craft out into their dogfighting configuration, then screamed into the battle at Mach 2.5, firing AAMs and 27mm rounds as they went. The ferocity, speed, and pure surprise of the attack was sure to take down the enemy in droves.

Going into the tunnel networks would be dangerous, and small groups sent in would most certainly get wiped out after 2 or 3 engagements with the enemy, where as large groups could be taken out if the tunnel collapsed on them, but they would have a chance against Midian forces.

1Lt. Sarah Wade and the remants of her squadron had been marched throuh the jungles for hours, and to her it looked like there would be no destination. She was faint from lack of blood, despite having her gunshot wound bandged. She suddenly felt lightheaded, and almost collapsed. 50 feet later, she did. She hit the soft dirt with a thud, and she felt relieved for some reason. A boot smacked her in the side, and she rolled over with a feeble yell. Rough hands yanked her up so fast she almost fell down on the other side. She groaned, then collapsed again. A younger soldier broke out of line and ran to help her. He gently picked her up, and helped her stand. A soldier hit him in the face with the butt of his rifle, but the SkyCapt soldier merely turned and walked to his spot. "Huh," Wade thought, "He's got guts." She continued to walk forward, but her head hang down. She was very exhausted, and wondered how much farther they had to go...

After eviewing the situation, Starenell has decided that the marines would not be very helpful, and have pulled them out. Instead we are sending 100 Shadowdancer SpecOps men. ETA 2 days.

The F-42 and LMX-10 pilots engaged in combat were grateful for the assistance from the fighters. They flew in and out of the enemy formations, and Midian piloted planes screamed into the ground, bursting into flames. Zeppelins from the RSAFZB droned into the combat area, and began firing upon the Millenium fighters, downing 2 planes in 5 minutes. Enemy fighters attacked the zeppelins, and 1 went down instantly, having take multiple hits from stray missiles already...

*Secret IC*
Heartless Kittens: SkyCapt High Command can find no use for the Crimson Wings donated. We'd prefer if you could come in and command them. We can give you 15 Zeppelins, in perfect condition, though 2 have taken fire before. All have fully hangers, able to accomodate zeppelin enabled fighters. Maybe you could adapt your fighters for use. We could coordinate attacks between us better that way, also.

This 'coalition' is only temporary. Also, it seems the war is a little lopsided - The world seems to be against Millenium.

Does anyone have an interest in this anymore? If not, then we'll set up a neutrality thing, and see if the prisoners can be released.
