I will be with you as soon as I can and will probably be bringing Grendel with me, (if I can stop him bragging about his Grendson long enough to tell him that is).

"Reginald is a well respected though rarely given name in my nation. Skadi is fine and well taken care and fully recovered from the child birth. About me being able to recnoginize you, you are the only reaven that beuatiful and that well behaved."

However, one thing was true in my little trick, I don't have time to spend with you I am afraid and will have to leave you for a little while, so if I may be excused, I will visit Skadi and see Reginald for myself and then be back to join you for the child's naming."

*She drains her glass and stands to leave.*

"Are the two of you still using the same rooms, or have they changes now?"

And I would have been rather cross if my dear Father hadn't at least sent a message! It's a busy time of year for all in my old region, lots of training and exercises......Then it's perfect weather for hunting trips too......

"Of course we can't put her in the Arbor in the gardens with the statues, even if she is very attractive."

"Well, he is the crown prince and has a great amount of power, yet the guards will stop if they have an order from you or me. Also Imperial law states that he must marry an foreign princess, queen, or empress. So we have the advantage there, but yet when he become emperor he can recede that law."

A large crate, is wheeled into the Emperors office, from the air holes in the top and sides it obviously holds some kind of animal.

Skadi hears familier noises from inside the crate, so it is no suprise when she opens the letter handed to her

What fine new it is that I hear, your first born alive and well.
I send you a gift that you know will care and protect you and your son always, the mother is calm and patient and her cub a son almost the same age as Reginald.

"Silth has remembered her promise she made to me many years ago. She said that when I was married and had my first child I would receive a she wolf and it's cub."

*She carefully opens the crates door, pulling it slowly open. Two pairs of golden yellow eyes stare out at them from the gloom, then with less than a moments pause, the huge silver grey she wolf steps towards Skadi, looking around and sniffing as it comes.
Skadi holds her hand palm down for her to sniff, which the great wolf does, then licks it's welcome and sits showing no signs of nervousness.

Skadi kneels, her fingers running through the wolve's thick lush coat as she examins it.*

"Isn't she beautiful?"

"Still stroking the she wolf she peers into the crate."

"Now to convince the cub that he should come out too!"

*Harold signals and a servant brings picks the baby up so Harold can make sure the wolves are safe for the baby to be around.*

"These are fine and beuatifyl creatures."

*He says while petting the cub she wolf. Then after being sure it was afe he signaled ot the servant to bring the baby to him. Harold then sets Reginald down near the baby wolf which he begins to paly with."

Roled in the traditional way, it's edges almost crumple to dust when touched.
Even though it's seal is cracked and marked with the age of many years, it is marked for the attention of Skadi.

Skadi hessitates as it is passed to her, but she carefully opens it and reads nevertheless.

As all good fathers do, Grendal rejoices at the birth of his first born Grandchild.
That it is a boy is even more cause for celebration.

I'm starting to go stir crazy here and these two, (she gestures to the wolves), could probably do with a good hunt around their new homes and a stretch of their legs after such a journey."

*After Skadi leaves two Lord Gernrals enter his office and shit his door they were there to discuss miltary matter. When they had shut the door two Imperial guards went in front of the door and put there spears in front preventing any from entering.*

"They were there in order to prevent people from spying or entering the confrence unannounced as it was an important confrence concerning secret matter of state."

*Skadi stands and linking her arm with Harold's they walk back into the palace.*

Cohorts of Imperial Guards patrolled the palace. As they went by to the Imperail dining chamber one cohort came marching past them.

"For Valhalla, glory, and for my people. As two mighty nations had intruded on the invasion and I am needed with my miltary knowledge and abilties will proably win the war and also to raise me soldiers morale."

*Skadi shakes her head*

"Am I allowed to know who these nations are that my husband is so keen to get himslef killed for?
I am not saying that you should not fight for what you believe in Harold, Odin knows, with the upbringing I have had, I would expect no less, but it's as though you have produced an heir, so you are now free to go and get yourself killed!

"I never said that i would die for sure, but yet I must fight at the front line as also do not forget I have already outlived most normal men. But, I will tell you wear I am going is to the land Moses Land. Fear not though I will fight ny best to stay alive. I hope to die in a real battle fighting in a melee against many oppenets bearing my sword until I die proving my skills in combat."

"Yee must be Crazy to go to War" a voice says from in the shadows as a figure steps into the light. "greetings from the Federation. She was not suprised to see that Harold was not there to greet them, they had not been due to arrive until later, but they had made good time.
She settles Reginald with his nursemaid, bathes and dresses in her best robe, eager to see the husband she had so missed.
Even though it had only been a week since she had last seen him, her excitement rose as she walked towards his offices, sure that she would find him there, even at this late hour.*

As Skadi had predicated he was in his office, but he was instead of goverment work was watching football/soccer on the T.V. from an record from a game earlier that day.

As he saw Skadi approach he poured two glasses of water, two glasses of coffe, and two glasses of wine for them both.

"An uneventful journey, a long trek up a high mountain, loads of rigmarole at the top and the ceremony seemed to last for ever and a day!"

*She smiled up at him, resting back on his legs*

"But for all that it was a moving ceremony and I was happy to take part in it, even if I had to stand all the time with a son, that is starting to feel like a sack of potatoes, in my arms."

*She yawns like a contented cat by the fire side*

"Then it was back down the high mountain and back again"

'So it seems it was worth trip. But, at least that is out of the way now and nyou will never have to do it again. I am glad that you were at least content to take part in the ceremony."

*An Imperial craftsmen with a pakage on his side that was to be shown to them both and the man said to the Emperor and Empress.*

"My Lord and Lady, I have come to delive this to you as ordered my emperor it has been constructed perfectly for your son."

*Just about to answer, Skadi is interupted by the arrival of the craftsman and his package.*

"At this time of night my friend? What has my cruel and unkind husband been ordering you to do that makes you have to deliver things at this time when you should be at home with your family?"

*She turns and scouls at her husband.*

"Harold, just because you are a workaholic, it doesn't mean that others have to be also."

*Harold sighs and then says to his scolding wife, but his mouth comes down, but nothing comes out for a minute."

"Well, I thought that this would be a welcome and good suprise after your journye."

*He signals to the man and he open opens a ebony chest a beautfil platinum crown crowned with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and gems.*

"I thought this might make you happy after your journey this is a new crown for Reginald that is might cheer you and make you happy after your long journey."

*Skadi shakes her head with feigned anger and sighs, but she answers with a laugh taking the crown in her hands.*

"You and your crowns Harold, it is truely beautiful, but your son will apreciate his father's time more than anything that is as material as this and his mother certainly would too."

*She kneels and kisses him gently on the lips, then turning to the Master Craftsman she praises him and sends him off to his home, before turning again to Harold.*

"I have really missed you my love, a week without you is far too long."

*Sensing his wife stress after the long and hard journey Harold claps his hands a the fire place goes on and a large plasma T.V. changes places with an painting.*

"Care to watch a little football/soccer my dear with me?"

*She grins at him*

"If it means that you sit still for more than two minutes then yes."

*She settles back down leaning against his knee once more and facing the large screen.*

"And how have thihngs been here? Any news I should know of?"

"Well Imperial forces are restoring an monarchy in Moses Land. I have given Imperial decrees to two new internation Scandinvan companies to be esblaished. Also we are also rebulding Moses Land as well."

"Restoring a Monarchy and how are the people of Moses Land taking that?
And everything else is as it should be then?"

*Skadi sighs*

"I am getting itchy feet, I blame the she wolf and her cub.....we must go hunting again soon Harold, we could do with a break...."

*Harold to also getting the feeling that he needs to get out and relax.*

"Well, let us go hunting tommorrow night after you get a good night sleep. That long journye must have been a very tiring one if not more so."

*Skadi smiles, she stretches again and stands so that she can move to sit on Harolds knee. Her arms wrapped around his neck, she hugs him.*

"That would be an excellent idea, before we have to go through more official entertaining in honour of our son. It's a long long time since we have hunted together."

"That is to true my dear. The hunt shall help us relax after our stressful last few weeks preparing for the celebrations and everything. Also the Imperial Goverment I am sure can survie without me for an time. I hope."

*Skadi laughs*

"I am sure that both the government and our son can manage without us for 24 hours at the most!"

*She stops laughing and gazes into his eyes and speaks quietly to him*

"I have missed you so much, being without you yhas been like I was no longer whole, like a chunk of me was missing."

*Still looking deep into his eyes, she changes from the spoken word to thoughts and lets her feeling flow into his mind*

I love you Harold everything else pails into insignificance when I am without you

*She send him an overwhelming feeling of love and devotion and passion, then leaning forward she seals it with a kiss*

*Harold laguhs a little and then grabs a glass of qater and drinks it quickly.*

"Well, I am not whole without you, but with all this paper work I do not get to think or feel that much. It is getting later so good night pleasent dreams."

*Skadi takes him by the hand and leads him from the room and back to their rooms*

Harold follows her to their chambers where he falls into bed exhuated and falls very quickly into a depp sleep. He just lies there like a stone not moving as if he where dead.

*The sun is high in the sky by the time Skadi wakes Harold.
She sits on the bed watching him for a moment and smiles at his peaceful face, before gently shaking him awake.*

"Come on sleepy head, it's past mid-day."

*Skadi sighs, he must have been far more tired than she realised, she often wondered how he had managed to look after himself before she had arrived, who told him he had to eat and who reminded him that he had not slept in days.
She put the coffee cup down that she was holding for him and shook him again.*

"Emperor the day is wasting"

Then Harold finally woke and then said," Skadi I found a good new name for Reginald how would Erik or Eriskson sound?"

*Skadi laughs, supprised at his sudden waking and declaration*

Where has that popped up from my dear?
Erik is a fine name, but he is already named Reginald and even though I wasn't sure, well it's sort of grown on me.
Why don't we give him Erik as his middle name?
It is a good Nordic name and happens to be the name of one of my ancestors, so father will be happy.

*She leans over and kisses him, laughing again.*

*Harold laughs slightly and looks out the window on the beautiful day that awaited them as the glorious son greeted him.*

"My dear, I believe that we shoud go sailing today of the ocean as I long for as I have old Viking blood in my viens."

*-she grins again*

I must admit I haven't done much of that, come on then teach me to sail.

*she pulls the covers off him*

*Harold gets up and then changes his clothes and then heads towards the door out of their chmabers.*

"Coming Skadi?"

*She looks at him in amaizement, her hands on her hips.*

I've been up for hours and then it took me ages to wake you up and YOU are now hurrying me?
I tell you Emperor, this sailing had better be good to amke up for it!

*She follows him out of the door*

*He leads quickly out of the palace. There he makes a turn onto the main street and comes near the entrance of a coffee shop and looks at Skadi and says.*

"Do you care to get some coffee before we go sailing?"

*Skadi stops and looks at the place for a moment, it seemed familier, then it comes to her.*

"This was the place where I kept hearing voices but no-one was speaking to me......That seems like an eternity ago Harold, I was so confused about it all then."

*Harold nods his head ion stress."

"Alright, alright have you heard anyone sense talk to you mentally save me?"

*She looks at him concerned at his reaction.*

"Why? Is it important? Whats wrong?"

"The ship will be ready in ten minutes and I do not want to miss any of it."

*Skadi stands rock still refusing to move.*

"Then you had better tell me why you had such a reaction when I mentioned this, or you will be sailing without me after your people watch their Emperor and Empress having words in a very public place."

"The person that talked to you has died in warfare for the Glorious Empire of the Scandinvans."

*Skadi blinks and pails slightly*

"When did this happen?"

"He died fighting back an invasion from the northern lands by a barbarian horde."

"When did this happen Harold? Before I heard this voice or recently? Because listening to babble from other people around me is one thing, hearing the voices of the dead is another and I will need to speak to Brusca...."

"As I said before this land is blessed. The voice you heard was not of a dead man, but one who was hundred of miles away. He died only very recently in the past few days acutally and died with a slain foe at his feet and his sword and shield in hand."

*Skadi drops her head*

"May the Valkyrja guide his spirit to the Great Halls"

*She lifts her head and pokes him on the shoulder*

"And you Emperor, for goodness sake stop making me worry like that!
Now haven't we got a ship waiting for us?"

*She links arms with him and they continue on their way*
