The Altra(FT RP)

Dozens of planetary protection systems floated above the planet. Except they face downward… Down against a planet which was covered by a planetary shield. Below the surface were a whole civilization of creatures working in entire harmony. It would have been beautiful the creatures weren’t so hideous.

It had all started 3 Months ago….
The Klingtonian government, in search of a more profitable unit in warfare, and also to keep the war department busy in this time of peace, decided to give the War Department permission to go off on a genetic journey to create a super warrior. This had started with the formation of creatures known as Altra. These creatures all share some special traits. They can’t handle psionic output, and they also take DNA from every creature they find, and use it to better themselves and reach the next step in evolution. So, on a venture to build a super creature, they took these genetically engineered creatures and let them settle on the planet of Harbourne. Every few days placing new creatures on the planet, and thus began the experiment.

Now three months later the creatures below where getting very advanced. They were already developing a powerful psionic link between their fellow creatures. Making them strong in pack-hunting. They had also created some kind of natural jet power, and totally evolved the idea of claws into boneswords.

Soon…. The ultimate fighting creature would be born…

This is horrible these creatures must be killed they could be dangerous and attack humans. We must get rid of them. Also if we could find a way to breed them they could become a superweapon and destroy any nation in my path. But.... most people wouldn't like that.

OOC: I think the point was for them to attack humans. Not much point of breeding super-soldiers otherwise. Klington: love it. Reminds me of members of the Motie warrior caste crossed with the Zerg.

So you isolate them on a planet... They're so strong that you can't fight them.. Then what's the point of them?

OOC: Its going to be like the Zerg.
And yes, I may not be able to fight them, but I gave them one weakness, psionic disruptors. So, while they are unprotected they are screwed. Once, I come down and take my superwarriors, I plan to install loyalty implants and shield them from psionic disruptors.

OOC: Most likely take them off later for use in battles, just as soon as they've finished evolving. Probably convince them that you're gods, that deicide is bad, and that its an honor to fight for you. Then take as many as you damn well please, confident that they'll kill your enemies and not you.

That or things go horribly wrong, and we get a fun survival type RP on our hands.

Oh, and a couple questions about the Altra: firstly, the jet propulsion: similar to an octopus, I assume? And just how intelligent would they be?

No, they make natural gases or something in there belly and use it to jet propel themselves. I got the idea from the discovery channel, a show called "What aliens would be like" or something. Not too good on the details, but I know its possible.
And the intelligence would probably be very smart. But I plan to heavily use propaganda on them and keep them under control with psi disruptors. Actuallly....
Perhaps I'll design a bio-kill switch.... I just need to make a biological comlink reciever and a organ that can cut off the spine at the brain... Thanks for the idea..

OOC: You do know that not every species will believe propaganda as readily as humans do. Also, how can you control them with psionic disruptors if you shield them from it. And implants? Those are so easy to remove or disrupt or destroy. Just do a deep mental persuasion and that will take care of them until they develop psionic abilities.

It depends. Plus you'll see the whole plan in a few posts....

Implants are easy to maintain as long as you include a cranial nuke (not a real nuke, just an implanted bomb that blows off vital parts of the anatomy, usually the head, in a particularily messy fashion) that will go off if the device is tampered with. And I'm sure a species engineered as super-soldiers is going to have no problem believing propaganda...

Haransekkin, the third warrior of the Halagask Tribe was hunting a new creature. A new creature for the good of the Altra. A bonesword slid out of his forearm, psionic energy swirling around it. He ran out of the bushes towards the enemy, “En tarak raul!”, he screamed as he cocked his blade back and stabbed through the creature. But then…. a disturbance. He fell to his knees. Something was taking over the psychic connection with his brethren. He felt his mind being absorbed into one powerful, absolute being…

On the other side of the planet, Klingtonian forces had just installed a new “Overmind”, a creature with a dominating mind, that would surely take command when connected with the psychic connection of the Altra. Installed inside the overmind was a computer/neuro link, so if the Klingtonians needed to, they could edit and control the creatures on the surface. Also, Klingtonians introduced themselves to the Altra and pronounced they were Gods, and a week later, propaganda filled the psychic connection with the Klingtonians will….

4 Months Later

The creature the Klingtonians had been waiting for was created. The creature was semi-tall with 4 legs (which have a unique ability to latch together into two legs, which is the form they usually walk and fight in) and 4 arms. When walking in 4 leg mode, the body usually sinks down slightly, and when it walks with two legs, it normally walks on its toes, to insure stealth and speed. On its back lies two powerful biological jet boosters, used to fly about the battlefield. The arms hold two psionic boneswords and psionic shields, which expand too whatever size is needed. The brain is located in the center of the body, and the whole head is devoted to sensory information, it holds 16 eyes (two big main eyes in the center) , each pair seeing in a different fashion (I.E. Infrared, normal light), and a powerful ears. At the bottom of the eyes lies a long snout, not used to smell, but to sense the life energy that surrounds the creature. The muscles of the creature have many normal sized muscles, but also small muscles strewn throughout the creature to enable a fluidity that has not been seen before. A psionic link connects the creatures together in one pack, which allows them to coordinate attacks with incredible ease. The blood in the creatures is a mixture of psionic energy and a greenish blood, the psionic energy acts like an advanced form of adrenaline. The creature holds three hearts, two normal active hearts, and one hyper-fast heart, which can only be used for a short time. It is used to give the creatures body greater endurance and speed. The creature does not eat, but lives off of its enemys life energy, in other words, it must kill to live, and with each absorbing of an enemy, it grows stronger. The Klingtonians named it the species, Adun, and selected it to be the supersoldiers Klington was looking for.

OOC:
What do you think? I’ll type up some more information later, like the Klingtonian armor that will be designed for it.

OOC: So, it looks sorta like the Enkall from Advent Rising (leg structure, that is)?

Wouldn't that be a really easy way to defeat your army? Just mess with their implants with nanites and the whole species blows up.
Otagia

OOC: Well, yes, but if you had nanites capable of this, why not just scramble their brains? Would work just as well, and less collateral damage to your own army.
