To Gain Eternal Life (Open, All techs) (Open Character rp).

After a period of time the Eternals seeing the eventually death of all things mortal they have decided to give a few select beings to gain the chance for Eternal life. After a period of research and discussion by the Eternals it had been discovered the Eternals gene of Eternal life would be able to be transferred to any mortal sentient being. Yet, even with this discovery the Eternals decreed that only a few sentient life forms would have the right to receive this gift as if all mortals gained Eternal life they would soon fill the universe and abuse this great gift and though they had Eternal life they were not immune to an death by the hands of an another being. Yet they would be able to eventually reform if the Eldest One of the Eternal race allowed them to return to the universe. So it was decided that an great gathering of those who wished to gain Eternal life would be called and all those seeking it would have to be tested to decided which among them was worthy of this gift of Eternal life.
So this message was sent at all frequencies:
“If you wish for Eternal life go the planet of Hilonima.”

OOC: A, not everyone knows where Hilonima is. B, entropy exists always. It cannot be completely defeated, only delayed. Everyone winds down eventually. The best you could do is slowing down the growth of the body's cells.
The Scandinvans
17-08-2005, 02:18
OOC: Technically it is possible to stop the splitting of cells which effectively would stop aging. Also to that you can make cells immune to diseases. The location of the planet is within Eternals space in an isaolted solar syestem not within any galaxy and is exactly 32 trillion light years from the Eternal home galaxy.
OOC: Sorry, I should've said the growth and decay of cells. If you stop the splitting of the cell you kill someone. The cells decay and die but since they can't reproduce you gradually die until finally some major organ bursts from lack of protective lining.
The Scandinvans

OOC: You are correct there the proper way I didn't take that into account would be to stop the degrading of DNA through splitting and also to stop the natural corruption of cells.

Hilonoma, eh?
Junko Tadanobu was curious. Her Force powers, awakened and well used as they were, had been keeping her healthy, along with a heavy exercise regimen. But the prospect of Eternal life....well, that was too much to pass up.
She got onto her personal shuttle, and announced she had some business to take care of. With that, she began moving towards Hilonoma.

Grotree was given a secret - at least to the other members of People's Republublic of Hurtful Thoughts - briefing, to locate Hilonoma, and at all costs prevent any potential enemies from getting eternal life (this part he did not quite grasp). He was also informed he would have to be sent into space, (PROHT's efforts at long distance space travel have met, setbacks). It was recomended that he is to find another agent and pair up with them as long as necessary.
During the briefing
"So now I'm supposed to hitchike across the galaxy?"
"Yes, , would you rather go in one of our ships?"
"No, hitchiking is fine. How long have we known about this?"
"Well, at first we had no idea were Hilonoma was or how to get you there, until this 'book' and I use this term loosely, came into our hands"
<gives Gotree "The Hitchiker's Guide to The Galaxy">
"Thank you sir... I guess, but how many of these do we have?"
"well, we just ordered another half dozen copies, they should be showing up once the've cleared Bistromatics to be a safe form of flying"
"Bistromatics, sir?"
"You'll understand someday, or die trying. Try and learn to spot SEPs while tour at it, Good luck!"

"SEP? what is an SEP?"
[for some odd reason the guide starts talking]
"SEP, Someone Else's Problem. a low cost alternative to stealth technology.
you see, at one point these guys on some miniscule planet where tasked with flattening or moving this mountain, which was not doable, because it was so massive, so they where clever and painted it PINK! afterwards, a person could walk up to the summit, die of Chlorine starvation, and not even recognive that they are on a mountain with a very distinctive cliff face (the reason why it was to be removed), it was only when a toddler, who had no isea what a mountain looked like, decided to point it out to their mother, who in turn pointed it out to the mayor, who in turn signed the papers to have the contractors assasinated, SEP works because, it is someone else's problem and your brain naturaly ignores it as garbage information, that or your subconcious is so conviced that it is a hallucination, that it dicounts the item altogether"
"uh - huh... now how do I spot something with SEP?
"you look for something by not looking at it, from the corner of your eye, one may catch a glimpse frm which he may focus on it, beware, threre are many strange and hidous things that hide using SEP"
"oh, like how politicians don't see their own mistakes"
"exaclty"
So now Gotree attemts as hard as he can, bobbing up and down, clucking and contorting his face so as to get a glimpse of some spacecraft hiden from view and lost (like in a parking lot) and to hotwire it and continue on. While doing this, he himself was unoticeable to any passerby that happened to bump into him, after about bumping into various members of various governments and local peasants, he came across a rocket that was too frilly for anyone to possably be willing to be seen inside, but, lacking a safer way to Hilonoma, decided to use it and prays that nobody important dies laughing at him. But then again, he was now Someone Else's Problem.
OOC:
I do not remember what the guide exactly states as far as what SEP is and how it works, if anyone knows please TG me (informaton in "Thanks for All the Fish")

It came to Gotree's attention, that it not really safe to fly a plane that nobody could see, (or get out of the way of) at speeds greater than the speed of light. Especially when other ships clouded with SEP are buzzing around you likewise.
(too bad improbobility drives have been banned for their effects on world events and all probability drives have been destroyed to prevent any more improbability drives from being made; bistromatics have been grounded ever since it was discovered that some of the bistro's used calculators, antimatter and nuclear drives however were still legal, due to the fact that they did not reley power by opossing the natural laws of physics)
After a few close calls and watching some interstellar wars that may kill entire races later, he was finally surprised that someone actually SAW him and radioed (laughing uncontrollably) that he identify himself before he atempts to land next time, or else he will be unpleasantly destroyed in his next life. He had reached Hilonoma, his first part of the mision was over.
He was their problem now.

The true nature of the world revealed it to the first mortal to look upon it's surface. The world's beuaty was greater any then mortal could gaze upon within their lives. The light that flowed as freely as wind did, but yet it generated beautiful formations of light and was turly glorious to behold. The surface wss covered by plants that were many and beautiful as any jewel known to humans. This world was one of the few incorrupted worlds kept by the Eternals that they had developed for their inhabitation as they world was like a image of the Eternals' home world, but yet it was only a shadow of it not even coming close to the Eternal home world.

Gotree found it better to ditch his spacecraft, letting it carreen into some mountainside, and to drop himself a 'short' distance from the coordnates.
"About a half hours walk, I'll manage."
Other than the small forest fire erupting a ways in the distance, Hilonoma was quite scerene and peaceful, he almost wanted to just sit down and take up residence, but then was reminded of his nature by the sight of a group of incoming spacecraft.
"I would sure like one of those..."
And so he started walking, and he realised he was in a perfectly beutiful swamp.
He even managed to find and hold a non-semi-intelligent conversation with a few guards, who from first appearances, where NOT pleased to see him.

"Sure beats killing zombies...."
At this time Gotree's mind wanders about the fate of the first two 'G' class soldiers, and their fate quelling an outbrake of a disease that "created eternal life (among the dead) and his camrad "Gopher" who was recently slated for a similar mission. PROHT had started to specilize in "anti-zombie" warfare, and for this reason developed the 'G' class. Kind of ironic when PROHT's first clones where to be used as biological weapons host, and the most dangerous being the 'plague' class, which carried an advanced form of the mutagenic zombie strain, so that during late stages, would become airborne and could contaminate whole planets in a matter of days. As a form of 'insurance' the 'g' calss was developed to exterminate this threat, and to make sure that no such threat every reaches the gates of Notoorough.

Gotree then remembers a bit of 'moral support' from his old field manual
then decided after some thought that being at perfect harmony with death would not suite the eternals at all, and so, remained quiet. For a moment he consiferedhimself wasting his time at this, and then turned his thoughts to who's ship to use, his having crashed into a cliff that now looked something like Mt Rushmore. His thoughts then turned to the universe and to what religious outlook a creature as old as time itself would have, he made up his mind that it had to deal with the ways of the universe, since he had no idea what the beliefs of an eternal being would have (like asking god if there is a heaven, if he says 'no', you're skrewed, and if he says yes, you have gained nothing, you would have nothing to gain and everything to lose).
"in perfect harmony with the ways of the universe"
He also conceded the fact that if he attempted to leave early, he would most likely be caught, or would leave one of the others stranded, he would also fail his primmary mission, to become immortal merely was the secondary objective.
Anyways, if this arrempt failed he would try "Harmony with themselves" but doubted it was any better an end to the quote than any other.

"in perfect harmony with the ways of the universe"
He also conceded the fact that if he attempted to leave early, he would most likely be caught, or would leave one of the others stranded, he would also fail his primmary mission, to become immortal merely was the secondary objective. The Eternal answered," That answer is apportiae enough for you to further adavnace."

"A bit early to be declreing winners already isn't it? And how is Nature not the way the universe works, is nature not the physics of all around us?"
Gotree then saw the foolishness of argueing with a supreme diety, and slunk back to his station.

"And if we both get the boot, would you mind if I hitched a ride back with you? My craft nosedived into that cliff over there..."

Evers walks up to Gotree, who was attempting to talk to him but did not notice that he was already within one yard of him, and so they bumped into each other, and then he replies to Gotree, a bit stunned and very shacken, either by the eternals or the embarrasment of being interogatted from the get-go, responds kinda sheepishly.
"Er, Ever, some planet, not really important which. Heard something on the channels about Hilinoma and what was offered. And what exactly is going on?"
He was obviously in some form of shock, because he did not even bother using any real grammar, and just prattled out the answers, some obvious half truths, an enhanced bio soldier can tell when someone is lying, and even a novice interagator would notice he was hiding something, what with the beaten up ship he came in, one would think him a fugitive. Perhaps there is a bounty on his head? A pretty good inclination to become an eternal, and being an outcast and a croock, would be fairly easy to manipulate.
Gotre did his best to hide his ideas from view and decided to be polite as long as necessary:
"Well, not much really, except that these guys ho call themselves eternals are giving away what they claim is eternal life, so my government sent me here on a for the most part one way trip to find out what these requirements are, make sure that this is the real deal, and if possable\desireable, become an eternal. Not much else, that girl over there appears to be paralysed with awe and fear, you may try to talk to her, she's a bit shy I guess."
Gotree motioned in Junko's direction
"I don't even know her name, perhaps you would have more luck. Oh, and it looks as if I am in a short lead in this run, they seem to favor you for some reason though. Any idea why, and what was it you said you did? You must have done SOMETHING to get a hold of THAT ship.
Gotree points at Ever's bullet ridden ship.

"Well, I stole a ship from a government impound yard. I'm guessing they'll increase security to prevent anyone with fight left in them from stealing the ships."
Gotree almost smiled to himself, "Ever" is almost making this TOO EASY to gather all the information he needs, the girl in the background does cause some uneasyness for him for some reason though...
"What government? The eternals don't seem THAT hotile, true, if you give them a hard time they DO give you SOME unpleasantries.
Gotree rubs a small bruise on the back of his head, he did not want to make it appear as if he was soft when he first met the eternals, expecially for those who saw the ship he came in, who he made sure would not make that mistake again, of course, he did not really see the effect of his little "skirmish" with his twelve 'freinds' that he met, he knew he must have landed at least ONE solid punch on one of them, and kicked the shins of another two, and successfuly tripped another while pinning one into a tree; as for the other seven, he just assumed that they decided not to take too many chances and knocked him out somehow.
How was the problem, he was trained to fight things that not only did not feel pain, but could not comprehend it, and take similar punishment many times over before being rendered unconcious, so how did they manage to knock him out so quickly? And why did they not even bother to restrain him if he presented such a risk to their world? Unless, he was not as big a threat as he thought himself, that they did not see him as anything more significant than a bug on a sidewalk, where they could save or kill with equal ease.
Gotree decides to do something that few people would do:
He walks up to one of the eternals and asks,
"How are the guards doing?"
Realizing his 'unique' nature an escort of twelve guards was sent to fetch Gotree. When they got the escort leader said to Gotree," We have been sent to bring you to the proper place."
He even managed to find and hold a non-semi-intelligent conversation with a few guards, who from first appearances, where NOT pleased to see him.
'Oh, well, it saves me some walking at least.'

Well, no harm could be done in leaving, I mght as well take Everet's ship, it isn't as if he plans on using it again...
