Triple Point Electrical Routing and Power Plant- night

"Quiet evening, eh George?" asked Burt.

"Yeah. Prob'ly nothin' goin' on for kilometers around!" replied George. A small red light on the contol panel came on. George switched the monitor to a different security camera. No one was there. "Hmm, must be another malfunction."

"I've been tellin' that bastard manager to upgrade this plant. I'm suprised it could even handle this load."

George chuckles, "Yup." A knocking was heard on the entry door. A voice called "Open up! We need help!" Burt rushed to open the door. "Wait!" called George, "There shouldn't be anyone here except us. Get a gun, I'll get the rifle." Burt did as told and proceeded to open the door. It slowly screeched open and behind it were eight soldiers. "Don't move!" on of them yelled. Burt and George opened fire, but they had little effect on the well armored men. The defenders were knocked out by the butt of a rifle.

"Gimme one!" a soldier called, asking for a bomb. Another one threw him a tethered box. They quickly set up bombs and ran out of the facility. After reaching outside, they jumped into a van and drove off. A few minutes later, control room blew up and the power plant was ablaze.

Power suddenly went out at around 2200h with no explanation. Only remote southern areas had power. The Energy Ministry tried to find an explanation. As they worked emergency teams readied for the worst. The next morning, the Minister of Energy, Edward Fellows, was on the radio: "Anvorbuodan rebels have sabotaged Triple Point Electrical Routing and Power Plant, disabling an estimated 85% of our power grid...We made a grave error by rerouting nearly all of Sel Appa's power through Triple Point. We should have consulted the military like we usually do before large transfers. I accept full responsibilty for the mistake. I let it pass by, not thinking anything would happen..."

After him, Chancellor Ngu Phuok Dinh declared a national state of emergency and dispatched troops throughout the capital and other major cities. He also told people: "...Stay in your house except for an emergency. Power will be out for a few days. All hospitals and government facilities are running on backup while the Energy Ministry tries to fix the problem. Dry ice will be handed out free at community centers and most government buildings. Please bring thick gloves, such as garden gloves...."

OOC: No I have a different source that nobody here should know of. There might be one or two though.

IC: Any technicians that can be sent will be greatly appreciated. For some reason, we are unable to transfer the electricity to its normal route. We could use help with blockading Anvorbuod for our navy is quite small.

Anvorbuod City

The once majestic capital of Anvorbuod was engulfed in flames that were quickly eating it up. Sel Appan bombers dropped several metric tons of napalm, thermite, and other incendiaries. Within an hour, a firestorm was created. The temperature rose to over 1000 degrees Celsius and only small pockets of oxygen were available. The sky was bright red with fire and smoke. Strong winds blew around the city. In some parts, a small vortex of fire touched down melting and burning everything in its path.

The streets were a smoldering goo and the buildings were charred beyond belief. Corpses lie in the streets, covered with soot and burns. Mothers were kneeling with their children trying to filter out the air. Cars caught fire and exploded while houses crumbled into smoldering rubble. It didn't seem like it would ever end.

Anvorbuodan President Richard Schist was in his bunker which had a seperate air supply. He looked at videos of the horror above him. He waited with his staff for the inevitable death that would soon overcome them. The fires would burn for weeks and the oxygen supply could only last around ten days. "What did we do to deserve this?" he asked. "They could have arrested us or something. Why must I watch my people choke and cough and burn?" No one could give an answer.

Chancellor Ngu Phuok Dinh looked at video clips of Anvorbuod's capital engulfed in flames. "Perhaps now, they will know their place." he said to an aide.

The government of Central-Eastern NJ is appauled by all of this violence, we are prepared to send peacekeepers to infrastructure targets Sel Appian cities, however we also condemn indiscriminant the use of napalm. We however identify with Sel Appa because they have been attacked.

We would suggest opening up negociations, however since the president of Anvorboud is soon to be dead, we see the iminant need to provide postwar aid to Anvorboud, perhaps enen the need to install a new regime.

"They want negotiations?! How can you negotiate with rebels? Rebels that blow up your power facilities. Rebels that blow up your capital. Rebels that allow companies to monopolize industries. No, there will be no negotiations. We will bring Anvorbuod to its knees. They will be a wasteland before we're done." the chancellor exclaimed in Parliament.

OOC: We only need naval help to provide a huge blockade. Also, technicians to help get the grid back online. In other news, 20% of the grid did successfully come back online. Only 65% is still disconnected.

On behalf of the members of the CPSU, I would like to send my condolences to the families of those who have been injured or killed during these incidents. With support from the Political Bureau and the Red Army, if need be, the Soviet Union is willing to send several hundred Soviet soldiers and workers to the Sel Appan capitol to help rebuild the electrical stations and re-connect millions of Sel Appan citizens to their power and thus, the world.

The thought of such destruction sent chills down my spine, and my very soul must worry about frostbite, even though it is a holy day in Ninhursag, such destruction shall not be tolerated. Another 25 seawolfs, 4 more aircraft carriers each with 100 planes, 12 destroyers, 125 patrol boats, and 4 more nuclear submarines have been dispatched. In addition another 150milllion USD worth of supplies will be sent. I will also see if it is possible to attempt to save the people in those bunkers. You will hear back from me soon.
