Stevid MoD Reveals Northumbria Class Cruiser (Early Stages)

The ships themselves are nowhere near ready to be built as such is the extensive designing involved in making such a vessel. It is however, well on it's way and designs look promising.

Despite multiple protests from the government, the MoD got the go ahead to unveil the designs and possible pictures of the tobe Northumbria Class.

An expected 28 vessels are to be built to replace the the ageing Duke Class Frigates and the slightly newer FSC Cruisers which have limited capability on the seas and is a bit unrealiable.

Gun Armament: One double-barrelled 6.5in cannon; eight double-barrelled1.18in mountings
Missile Armament: 99 Fire-sword Anti-Ship missile VLS Systems, 88 Firewall Anti-Air missile VLS Systems, 88 TLAM VLS Systems, 14 Trident Nuclear Missile VLS Systems, 13 Stevid/Adaptus Astrates Imperial Fire God Nuclear Missile VLS Systems, 105 Stevid Fisher’s Anti- Submarine Missile VLS Systems and 70 Stevid Shalashaska Multi-role VLS missile Systems and 2 Sea Wolf missile launchers.
Aircraft: Two Westland Lynx helicopters in the main bay, with space on the port and starboard side for two Lynx/Merlin Helicopters on the support pads and space for one Chinook Transport Helicopter on the main pad.
Electronics: Most systems are classified but the ship contains two SAMPSON RADAR domes, which are used at different times or can be used simultaneously, both have been refitted to emit powerful ECM/ECCM burst pulses if needed.
Propulsion: Six General Electric LM 2500 gas turbines delivering 119,310 to four shafts.
Range: 11,003km at 20kts
Crew Complement: 627 Ordinary Crew and 33 Officers
