The government of His Majesty Alaric Tan'it, Emperor of Xeraph, has announced the annexation of the Borderlands of Ag-Chthlu, located in the region of Acheronn, approximately 700 miles to the south of the Xeraphian region of the Zhurazi Archipegalo and 2200 miles to the south of the Xeraphian region of The Mercenary Lands.
Representatives of the Ag-Chthluan government have returned to their capitol with several treaties and agreements from Xeraph.
Xeraphian military units are preparing to occupy key areas of the region/nation, where ultimately the largest and most state-of-the-art bases, air, naval, and ground, will be constructed along with an unprecidented number of ICBM silos.
No foreign embassies will be accepted in Ag-Chthlu.

regards,

Vlad, Prince of the Empire, Regent of the Grey Phoenix, in the Name of the Emperor.

The White-Robed Monks

The Community of the White-Robed Monks will be establishing a settlement in the new Xeraphian region of Acheronn. This is a region long involved in the primitive worship of dark powers, to the regions' detrement.
The WRM are a community devoted to the worship of The One True God, and the official spiritual guides of the Xeraphian Empire.
The WRM beliefs are a blend of Essenic Christianity and pure Zen.

"M'lord, we're here."
Ricala briefly scanned the monitors in the control room of HXMSS 'Ke'loy'. The Ke'loy was Ricala's flagship, approx 6.3 miles in length and 4.7 miles in width, armed to the teeth with state-of-the-art weapons, including laser, pulse, and gravity beams. It was staffed by 9,000 personnel, and escorted by a squadron of Katanan stealth cruisers. All 13 vessels we presently hovering 25 miles above the surface of the capitol of Ag-Chthlu.
" So," Ricala thought, "this is where Alaric chose to implement his 'master plan.' This backward, almost primitive nation with it's regional history of the darkest sorcery, shot through and through with bloody tribal warfare."
" Ensign, contact whatever passes for the authorities here, and inform them that we're here to begin their training in hyper-spatial travel."
"Aye, m'lord.

The blood-red sun was setting in Ag-Chthlu, casting an ominous glow on the walls of The Leader's castle. Magog was slouching on his throne, a half-empty cup of wine in one hand, a partially consumed leg of venison in the other. His retainers, similarly inebriated, were spread out around him when they heard an unfamiliar sound......a sort of a soft shuffling of feet, rapidly moving towards them. The room grew supernaturally dim for a few seconds, and when the torches regained their dominion, they stared at the sight before them.

They were about 8 feet tall, garbed in a rough cloak and hood of darkest grey. There were four of them, and they stood silently in front of the throne.
Their voice....voices?....were a sibilant hiss, unearthly.
" My lord Magog, we are here at the request of Alaric of Xeraph."
" Who...what....are you?" Magog asked, voice betraying his terror.
" We are the Brujah, lord, sent to be your body guards."
Magog regained a bit of his composure. " I have body guards. What do I need with you?" He gestured to his guards, who sprang to their feet, guns drawn....

It happened so quickly, nobody was sure of what actually transpired. One second, Magog's guards were advancing on the Brujah, and the next they were writhing on the stone floor, hands clawing their eyes, blood pouring from every opening of their bodies. The Brujah turned again to the Leader.
" We are here to protect you. You have the singular honor of being the only other ruler on earth to have the Brujah as your personal protectors. The other one is Alaric of Xeraph. You are extremely important to Alaric and his plans. He wants you to live long enough to see those plans come to fruition.
Anyone who comes within ten feet of you without your direct permission will die. The slightest nod in our direction will prevent that from happening."

It was then that the Brujah positioned themselves at the four corners of the throne, facing out, absolutely motionless.

" One more thing, my lord. You will not speak to us. You will not touch us. Is this understood?"
Magog was very pale and his voice trembled. " Y..ye..yes...I understand......."

Admiral Clemmons peered through the digital binocs at the coastline of...what was this place called?.....ah, Ag-Chthlu. From what he gleaned off the memos from Xeraph, this country's tech level was lodged somewhere between the late 1800's and the mid 1900's. Well, at least hey have plumbing and electricity.he thought.
He was aboard the battle carrier Se'thr, the first Xeraphian naval vessel to anchor in Ag waters.
Actually, the ship was built and based in Black Shadows, hundreds of miles off the Xeraphian mainland.
Clemmons was charged with beginning the construction of the initial naval base in Ag-Chthlu. There would be many more after this one......the largest military expansion in Xeraph's history. When complete, it would effectively triple the Xeraphian Empire's military might, already quite considerable by most standards.
Ag-Chthlu and it's region, Acheronn, were to be nothing more than the world's largest military base, approx 720,000 square miles of nothing other than men and machines dedicated to war. And even with Xeraph's virtually inexhaustable supply of material from the OutWorlds, it would take several years and millions of AI laborers to achieve the completion of this task.
Clemmons idly wondered what Alaric's intentions were once it was complete. Ah, but who am I to ponder the mind of one such as Alaric Tan'it?
" Lieutenant, let the Ags know we're here. I can see even from this distance that Ricala is already at work. Those ships of his are casting a shadow miles wide........"
" Aye sir."

OOC: Is he roleplaying with himself? I for one know the White-Robed Monks is his, but it seems how has hidden a cadre of new-old puppets to play with. I was going to issue a statement of hatred and dismay, but seeing this this thread has only 9 players posting in it (excluding me), of which 5 are puppets plus their puppet master, I'm not gonna bother.

ooc> As very recently stated in another thread ( see Dark Visions embassy thread ), only one of the nations of the Xeraphian Empire is a "puppet" of Xeraph, and they are a non-military nation ( White Robed Monks ). The others have been created by seperate individuals who have allied themselves with Xeraph of their own free will. While I am not as rabid a detractor of nations using puppets to further their own ends, Xeraph does not use them. Way back at the beginning of Xeraph's "carreer", I had several, but they no longer exist, and have not existed for about 14 months. So, all of you concerned with Xeraph's alledged "puppet wanking" can rest easy. Xeraph plays fair, perhaps more so than than Guff/HP.
Oh...um... and what a coincidence that Aust, Guff, HP, the Parthians, the Maccabees, etc are all in the same region....
I have contacted all of Xeraph's regional allies concerning the Ag-Chthlu thread. Hopefully, they will respond. If not, that's their decision.

(...)HP/Guff are only connected in story and characters, not thru arms and militaries. Anyway, since I, Mac, Parthians and all my other NS allies and friends seem to be in the same region, I must own a private jet to post in San Diego, Spain, Canada and Scotland the same day

Lord Astarius surveyed his portion of Ag-Chthlu with a critical eye. About 60 miles of coastline, the rest a blend of mountainous terrain and flatlands. " Perfect", he thought. " Two or three navy bases and plenty of room for armor and aircraft. My silos can be hidden in the mountains."
He turned to his aide and said, " Captain, get me all the demographics and topographic maps. The Emperor has given me the go-ahead to begin construction. And contact, what's his name, Magog? Tell him we're here, and that we wish to honor him at a dinner, etcetera and so on. Kee the locals happy, y'know?"
" Yes , M'lord, right away. M'lord, you are aware that he has Brujah guarding him?"
Astarius stopped in his tracks. " Brujah? Are you sure? Only Alaric has Brujah."
" Yes, M'lord. Alaric apparently considers him important enough to warrent them."
" Hmmm....there seems to be more to this thing than is apparent. Very well, captain, issue orders that Magog is not to be approached without his consent."
"yes, M'lord."

Mr. Frickel,

Be advised that, #1, this base is being constructed as a defense origin for Xeraph and it's allies. #2, It's Xeraph, not Xerpah. #3, mind your own business.

" Sir, a message from the Emperor."
The Emperor contacting him personally? Admiral Clemmons wondered what this was all about. As he scanned the note, he grunted in satisfaction.
" Well, ensign, it seems that an upstart nation is questioning Alaric's intentions as to the use of this base. He wants us to deploy a half-dozen ships off their coast, ostensibly for recon."
" Which nation is it?"
" Nuevo Laredo. Ever hear of it?"
" No, sir. Probably no one else has either."
" Well, at any rate, Alaric wants us to keep an eye on them. Send a carrier, battleship, destroyer, and a couple of subs over there. Make sure the carrier has a few HCGS's."
" Aye, sir."

Attention Black Shadows!

It has come to our attention that your naval ships have crossed the ocean border of the region of Mejico. We consider that an act of war. We and our ally, Tehatchapi, are sending warships to the area to defend our territory from aggression. We are currently in talks with other nearby nations to aid us in this situation.

Alaric Tan'it strode quickly into Magog's "throne room", apparently a former pig-sty. The filth and stench was almost unbearable. He pointed at the king of Ag-Chthlu and commanded, " You...come here."
Magog's face turned purple with rage. " Who the hell are you to talk to me, the King, in such a manner?" He gestured to his Brujah body guards, who moved not one inch in Alaric's direction. Magog failed to notice the two Brujah who accompanied him.
Alaric moved with such panther-like quickness that Magog sudenly found himself a foot off the ground, Alaric's clenched fists holding him up off the floor.
"I'm your Emperor, you filthy pig. Your'e not dead now because I need you.....for the time being. Your'e going to personnally escort me around this sorry-ass excuse for a kingdom so I can see what my people are doing to transform this shithole into a presentable and formidable military base for the Empire. You got me?", Alaric spat.
This was more than Magog could take. First the vampire guards, then the deforestation of his land, and now this. He pissed himself and passed out, going limp in Alaric's iron-fisted grip. Alaric let him fall to the floor, stared at him for a second, and spat fully in his face.
"Get him out of my sight. I want somebody on this throne who will act like a king, not a drunken whore-monger."
Alaric stared around the room. " You, come over here."
He was looking at a person across the room, half in the shadows. The person hesitated for a second, then with a regalness that was surprising crossed the room, stepped over the body of Magog, and looked straight into the face of the Emperor of Xeraph.
She was the most beautiful woman Alaric had ever seen. Long, raven-black hair, eyes green as a Xeraphian pine, a sultry yet somewhat mocking mouth, lips slightly curled in a smile. Built like a brick shit-house.
" You need something, sire?" Her voice was low, flowing, with an accent that intrigued him.
" Yeah.....I need you to be king of this country. What do you say to that?"
She eyed him cooly. " You apparently hadn't noticed that I'm not built to be a king. Queen would be much more appropriate. And if I'm to be Queen, you'd best treat me as one." With a flip of her hair, she sought to stare him down.
He glared at her a moment, then tossed back his head and laughed. " I'll be damned, a real hell-cat. What's your name and where ya from?"
" My name is Xenobia, from the island of Nirvania, just off the coast of Auralinia."
Ah, a Nirvanian! Alaric's head swam with the legends of the women of Nirvania.
" Well, Xenobia of Nirvania. What say you? Will you rule this country for me?"
Xenobia strode right up to him, and with a fierce glare said, " That's Queen Xenobia to you, your Majesty." With that, she bowed, and walked to the throne.
" First things first. Get that unconscious pig out of here, and then clean this place up. Do I have to put up with these creatures?", as she gestured at the Brujah.
Alaric grinned. "For now you do."
Arms crossed, she said, " Very well, but I don't want any blood spilled here. I've got a lot to do."
More than you think, Alaric thought. He bowed deeply. " I'll take my leave now, m'lady. I'll return whe you get cleaned up and can show me around your kingdom."
She returned the bow. "Very well, m'lord. Come back in a couple of hours, and I'll be ready."
