In light of an on going war with megas, The Hobbeebian High Command has begun to turn to an untapped source of military power, Alchemy.

Alchemy (for those who don't know) is the practice of taking an element and understanding its chemical structure and breaking it down , and rebuilding it to you liking.... ( your so I have read.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

( outside a facility 6 lightyears from Hobbeebian Homeworld , on a planet called Sigmas thela 2.)

Facility 4 military research and development center level 10 clearance.

"The facility's lights were a blaze, have been for 5 months straight. The Halls seem to continue for miles with thousands of rooms that seem to have no purpose. Rooms with beds and computer systems, even a Chemisty database with ancient books of a practice called alchemy. " Guardsmen trainee
Tech Col. Manlince at an interigation room on facility 4.

" Is that all you know?" asked the Head of the Facility. Master General Gragic.

" Yes sir that all I know." Guardsmen trainee Tech Col. Manlince

" Form some reason I dont believe you...Manlince. You know something about that transmutation...." said Master General Gragic as he was interupted by
Manlince

" That trasmutation was a mistake!" screamed Manlince

" So... You do know something.... Tell me!" announced Gragic

" It is hard to recall, my memory is clouded.... I remember....." said Manlince has he told the story behind the first illegal Human transmutation in Hobbeebian history....

OOC: oooh...you spelled it wrong. lol! I did alchemy earlier, many nations don't like it cause they don't get the physical risk and mental risk.

(I had a bunch of rules drawn up so that Alchemy can fail and injure the alchemist and bunch of trials for each one to 'level up')

OOC: Yes...! which is why I have this Thread to show that things go wrong.........

" It was terrible.... The screams..... The look of such pain on his face..." Said
Manlince with tears beginning to build in his eyes. the sights he saw were almost to much for him to remember.

The details that Manlince told Gragic, made even his skin crawl. Gragic could only listen to the horrible story that proceeded. After the story Gragic asked him what happened to the body. Manlince looked up at him and told him that it was stuffed into a sniper cannon shell......

OOC: Very good job! Top notch! I'm not much good at serious storytelling myself, so I tend to fall back on humor, you know?

Edit: May I ask, does Alchemy fall under science, or more like magic? I'm interested in it, but want to stay realistic.

OOC: Alchemy is not a science or magic. But if anything maybe a little of both. to use alchemy one must have an extensive knowelage of chemisty, and physics. so I would say 90% science/ 10 % magic if that what you want to call it.

OOC: Actually, alchemy is the study changing(transmuting) base metals like iron and steel, into gold (Nowadays, we know its only possible with we put it into a particle accelerator). You can call it pre-chemisty, but combines with mystism, and philosophy.

I would say theres only 10% of Science in there (as in experimenting with things)

OOC: It sounds to me like pulling things apart molecule by molecule and sticking them back together with added molecules and atoms, or less, as the case may be.

I would have to disagree with you. some person can just transmute something and not know what can be put into it or can be taken out. even your garden variety chemist probably wouldn't make a half-wit alchemist.

kinda.... somethings can be transmuted easier, then others. and by adding other atoms and molecules, you could create a very unstable compound...

And True alchemy is mainly used for turning metals in to gold but other alchemies exist.

Hobbeebian Security forces ran to the shell development launch center... where the body was stashed. they found the shell and noticed blood dripping out of the shells warhead.

" open it up now." screamed Gragic. The Forces typed in the code to open the warhead. The tip pushed out and steam pushed out, and so did a body.
But not like any body anyone has ever seen.....

The body was cleaned and disposed of. Gragic got back to his office and pondered the trainees punishment.

{great show,} say, just had an idea: since it's conceavable that one create a chimera of sorts using modern genetic and surgical techniques, what if one started out building a number of such constructs, then alchemically fused the more promising specimens into true chimeras?

Gragic was not happy about the report he was going to have to make after what happened that day. As he begun to write the holo-com burt to life showing Master general Xerious- Head general of Alchemic development.

" General Gragic, I heard news that someone prefromed a..... human transmutation. Id this correct?" asked Xerious

" Aye sir. Today such an event did happen, but everything has been taken care of..." replied Gragic.

" Lets see that it HAPPENS again. General" said Xerious as the holo-com disengaged.

Human transmutations were risky at best, and Catostrophic at worst if a human transmutation takes place..... An humonculis(SP) is born and that is another can of worms...

OOC:Am I like the only other Alchemy nation out here?
