Ok, the basic idea is that I post up the first page(post) of the NS news report (thinking of a name) sort of like the first page of a magazine which will consist of a cover(or without) followed by the names of reporters.

Also, make sure you use your computer's "spell check" for your articles and correct punctuation. This "news paper" will be posted up monthly, and will have two sections: one for FT and one for MTconsisting of the following:

Civil Wars
Terrorist activities
New Creations/inventions/Technologies
Latest issues
Latest technical problems
Organizations/alliances
Treaties
Embassies (creation)
New Nations

ect (full list will be provided soon)

Also will includes adds (store fronts, alliances, ect)

Founder: Huntaer/Huntarian Alliance(pupet nation)
Second in Command:

Reporters (MT/PostMT): Payment = 50,000 USD
The Federated Lands of Starenell
The Republic of Zackaroth
The Empire of Kjata Major
The Biological Fanaticists of Jenrak
The People's Democratic Republic of Chitzeland

Reporters (FT): Payment = 50,000 USD
The Chaos Imperium of Chronosia
The Republic of Zackaroth
The Enlightened Sovereignty of Kyanges
The Republic of Pula and ciara
The Imperium of Serapindal

Picture Designers: 60,000 USD

The Rover: 50,000 USD
The Biological Fanaticists of Jenrak

The rover has one of the most fun jobs for the NS paper. I got this idea from my high schools newspaper. This persons job gets to pick the month's random question (Ex: "Your most memorable summer vacation", "Most embarissing moment," ect) to any random nation on NS. This position is technically switched around, but there will always be three rovers available incase the other two are absent.

Moderators:
Euroslavia

I would also appreciate it for an available mod to keep an eye on this paper and tell us if we're breaking any rules (trolling, flaming, greifing, ect). Though we could easily police ourselves, I'd feel safer if there was someone who knows the rules and could have authority to override anything which could end up being inappropriate, or if you feel that the article in question should be modified.

Note: I would prefer experienced nations to participate in the newspaper, but there isn't anything wrong with a new nation to participate here.

I would be happy to be a reporter for the Ns newspaper. It sounds like a fun idea and now Im on most of the time so I can up with more recent events.

EDit: whopps. I can have a reporter do MT and I can have one do FT if needed.

This would be a thread for now. I'll try to create a forum if possible (I've experimented with creating my own forums before, but failed. I need practice) later on in the year.

Some reason I remember your name.....

Yes, that's why I alowed the poll to give you the ability to apply for multiple positions. If you want, I'll put you under FT as well.

We've had Newspapers before, and they've fallen apart. I suggest that if you want this to be successful, everyone participating needs to be extremely dedicated to it.

I wouldn't mind keeping track of the Newspaper.

What would be the requirements of being a reporter? I would like to be an MT reporter, but I'm not sure if I am going to have enough time to contribute enough to the paper.

Thanks for keeping an eye on things euro. BTW, 5 minutes after you posted I posted up a request in Moderation for available mods. Seeing as you have volunteered for the job, I don't think that thread is necessary (it should be the first thread). Or, do you think it'll be a better idea to have two mods with different views would be better than one (the "two heads are better than one" thing)

[quote= Chitzeland]
Basicly, this will be a monthly news paper appearing in I.I., General, Game Play, ect (or whatever the participating mods think it belongs in, if not only in I.I. which is why I requested for a mod to participate a little). If you have read a newspaper or magazine (any kind of magazine), you have an idea on how to write an article.

Basicly, you have a month to make your article (write, type, grammar, interviews, ect) . I feel a moth is plenty (if not more than enough) time to get your article completed. Of course, you don't need to be full-time. You could be an occasional "columist."

I forgot the benefit:
You will recive an area of $100,000 USDs to be added to your Military Budget as payment (I'm still figuring out a real price range) for services (if you RP on NS, this will be usefull).

Oh, alright. I think I can do that then. One thing you may want to consider is having a list of the articles that people are going to do so there are no repeats (or maybe repeats are okay if they have some differences).

Yes I'm going to do that. I'm also thinking of asking my Journalism teacher(s) if they could give me advice/help for this newspaper once school starts.

Don't hold out on the info though! Only thing I know how to write are books and websites. Now, with the way I do books, I'd get banned. Now with websites...it'd look like a teaser. Need some info on how to do articles not to big not to small.

Heh, I shouldn't have thrown the papers away 1st semester. Oh well. I don't really have anything to give you on how to write articles. The only idea I have right now would be I wait 'till my creative writing class this semester and ask my teacher for the papers (same teacher as my journalism teacher. He's one of the few "cool" teachers in my school)

I've done FT news broadcasts before. Complete with my own pictures of news anchors, and a detailed account of the event being reported. I've also done school papers before.

Put me under FT Reporters. (The Enlightened Sovereignty of Kyanges, or The Eshirian Sovereignty.)

Quick question, how can you be a sovereign nation and be a democracy?
Kyanges

Huntaer, you'll need to provide a sense of direction for this all. To keep this from falling apart, you will need to set up a structure with which to do things, from getting a story to the printed page.

It's either that, or everything is completely free form. There are advantages to this, however, the one of the flaws is that it makes it pretty easy for people to lose sight of what they wanted in the first place, and eventually drop out. As Euroslavia mentioned on multiple instances, the people involved need to be dedicated. (Just because a nation is experienced, as you said you preferred, doesn't necessarily mean that they will stick with it. Just a reminder.)

As founder, it'll be your job to keep this thing going.

Ask the US.

Sovereign generally means self-governing & independent when talking about government. As in independent from all other Nations. Democracy means a government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives. One deals with international relations, and another internal relations.

And techincally the United States is a Republic.

As far as the Newspaper, I look forward to reading your first official issue.

Just thinking that since the definition I have was:

One that exercises supreme, permanent authority, especially in a nation or other governmental unit, as: A king, queen, or other noble person who serves as chief of state; a ruler or monarch. A national governing council or committee.

Hmm something doesn't make sense, either that or my dictionary is bad.

------------

You don't want me to do picture designs, I don't have a scanner or Adobe 7.

That's just one definition of it. So, your dictionary isn't bad, just incomplete.

I would like to have a designer who could design the monthly cover for the paper. However, if there isn't anyone who wants it, I have an alternative....
