Age of Empires RP(Open)

(OOC: Because I thought it would be fun, I'm starting this RP. It's basically based on the game Age of Empires II, the Age of Kings, but you don't need to pick a particular civilisation, and instead can combine them or such.
How the game will work is you start out with a town center and 6 villagers. You need to build up your nation from there, and the tech level is from the dark age to the imperial age; but no gunpowder units please.
Oh and go ahead and call yourselves another name, cause I'm going to be using Taledonian, so you guys can use your nations name to.)
IC:
The Taledonians had come to the flat grassy plain next to the great river that ran through the land. The large forests created a sort of natural wall around the area, giving only a few passes in; it was the perfect place for a settlement.
The town center sat in the sun, the packed dirt around it foreign to the grassy ground. The 6 people that had constructed the modest little wooden building, that had animal skin as walls, were 3 men and 3 women. The first couple, Gaius Kellerman and Lucilia Kellerman; the second, Galerius Verreti and Cornelia Verreti; and the third, Julianus Coalin and Lucenta Coalin.
It would be a hard life to start out, but would get easier as time passed. First off, Gaius, Galerius and Julianus went off to chop some more wood with the crude axes they had; while the 3 women went to heard the flocks of wild sheep in the area.

(OOC: Well, bassically you start out like you would on a game of Age of Empires, with a town center and a few villagers. Then you simply build up and such. Medievil tech remember. And for the map, just create your own terrain, but try to have it tie in with everybody else's.)

Many miles to the north of Taledonia's woods, another estabilishment was on the rise:
A group of 10 migrant villagers had began the construction of a town centre, next to a frozen lake. Their location was less ideal. Cold snows and winds sweapt from the mountains the north, and although well protected by a surrounding forrest that was blanketed by snow, life would be harsh.
But these were Frozopian's, a determined race, who would live with the brutal surroundings. After a few hours they had constructed a small snow cave (town centre) that would protect them from the cold, when the night came.
4 of the villagers walked upto the tree line, and began chopping at the tree's with simple axes, and stacking them into a woodpile in the cave. 5 other villagers went scavenging for food. After an hour they found a wild boar. One villager ran at the boar, and with his simple bow shot an arrow into the beasts back.
The boar turned and chased the villager, who immediatly sprinted in the direction of the camp and his fellow villagers. After 10 minutes of runnin, they were in sight of the camp. At this moment the 4 other hunters stepped out and unleashed a volley of arrows into the boar, killing it.
The runner, Richard, Grinned;
"See, now we dont need to carry it so far!"
The hunters cut chuncks of meat from the boar, and carried it back to the cave. After 4 Journeys they had all the meat that was edible from the boar, any other useful parts.
The last two were ice fishing, cutting chunks out of the ice, and getting whatever fish was in the lake. So far they had little success, with a few catches hear and there.....
OOC: Tell me if there is anything wrong here. I might send a scout down to you Taledonia, soon.

Returning that night, all the villagers started setting up a crude palisade fence to keep the 10 sheep that the women had found. Not before too long, the fence was up, and a small gate kept the animals in while the people went back to the town center, where they promtly snuggled up to their partners in their hay beds and fell asleep.
The next day was more eventful. The men took the remaining wood supply and set up the frame for a small "house" which they later covered in animal hides. After that, they went back out to collect some more wood. They chopped enough to create a small shack out near the forest, in which they built a packed dirt road leading back to the town center. This was their lumber camp, where they would stay collecting wood until a sufficient amount was cut to built several new buildings.
The women split up, 1 of them went about sheering the sheep with a small rusty blade, while the other 2 went over to the banks of the great river and started to fish.
It was going well until a harsh wind came in for a few seconds. It spread a terrible chill into the people, and they knew that the winter was coming down from the far off mountains in the north. But they hoped it would not effect them, and leave their small clearing alone from the frost and snow.

After 10 cold hours of work, the villagers retreated into the cave, and estabilished a small fire with the lumber wood, punching a hole through the cave to let the snow out. They then cooked some boar meat, and went to sleep. The villagers took sentry duty, taking turns to watch the fire and collect twigs and such for it. The fire was necessary, otherwise they would die of cold.
The next day the villagers wern't much refreshed, but they were willing to work another hard day.
The hunters disappeared into the forrest for the whole day, coming back just before the sun sunk with deer carcasses slung over their shoulders. The 3 men and 2 women looked tired, but pleased with themselves.
The 2 Women fishing had another frustrating day, but it was at least more successful than the last. Adding the fish to the stock pile buried to the cave, they through themselves to the floor, thoroughly exhausted.
The loggers were starting to create a large log piles. Over dinner of venison, plans of building a small shack above the cave was talked about. More talk was about sending a scout south, to look for other settlements.
Richard had assumed leadership over the Frozopians, and talked about waiting till a more stable estabilishment was built, before scouting south.

OOC:I hope you don't mind me joining in.
IC:For a long time a nomadic tribe of people wandered about the area in search of food and water. When the people happened upon a river several of them decided to stay behind, they would attempt to settle the area. Six of the nomadic wanderers stayed behind, 2 men and 4 women. It didn't take long to build a crude shelter to protect them from the unforgiving elements. The river was a steady supply of water, but they didn't have the tools to fish, they had to resort to eating from the plants that grew near the river. Both of the men and two of the women set out to where the tribe had stopped to gather fruit from the plants before. There wasn't much left, the rest of the tribe had taken whatever they could carry with them. They took what little was left, leaving only a few berries behind on the bush for local animals to feed from.
While they were busy gathering the necessary food, it was the job of the other women to begin gathering wood to build tools and fences to keep out predatory animals. The two remaining women set out to find whatever branches and twigs they could find, they didn't have the tools yet to begin cutting down trees for large amounts of wood. They spent the rest of the day gathering twigs and branches; they would carry as much as they could back to the settlement and then go back for more.
When the foragers were through with the plants they set out to find livestock. While there wasn't much in the area they had managed to spot a herd of gazelle wandering on one of the plains along the river. Many of the gazzelle had left, the cold winds were beginning to blow in and it was driving them to another area. The two men and two women that found the herd gathered rocks and laid them out in trail to the watering hole. They would need to know where they could find these gazelle in the future.
After the area was marked they all went back to the settlement. When it was too dark to do anything more the wood gatherers returned to the settlement as well. They all ate a small portion of the fruit that had been gathered. They would have to ration what they had until a new source of food could be found.

IC:
A transport vessel sailed along the coast of the newly discovered continent. The crew consisted of six villegers, three men-at-arms and a monk, who was carrying a relic from this land. They were travelling south, back to the Byzantine Empire, the sea had been calm so far, and their journy was ahead of schedule. As they passed a high outcrop of rock, the monk claimed,
"Ah, how god has blessed us with his benevolant gaze. See now, we did not pray to your pagen gods and all is still well!"
As if on cue, a squall came upon them, It carried their ship towards the shoreand beached it there - rendering the ship un-seaworthy. All the occupents were knocked unconsious by the rather violent landing.
--------------------------------------------------
One of the men-at-arms woke up first, as the rising tide lapped against his feet. He quickly awakened the others. And they made their way up the shore. When they reached the rocks that marked the edge of the shore, the original man-at arms jumped up to the top of the boulders. As he reached the top, he stubbed his toe,
"Oh-" he nearly uttered a profanity, but when he remembered that one of the woman had a young child with her he uttered something compleatly different, "krendakov"
"Krendakov..." the others murmered. And eventually they decided that it was a good name for this new land.
--------------------------------------------------
As they made their way up to the top of the mound that was to be their new hame their was alot of grumbling. Many complained that they should have paid their respects to Neptune. The monk had had it with the pagens and their complaints.
"You pagens and your silly ideas. There is only one god!"
Two of the men-at-arms stood next to him. A series of insults were traded and eventually fighting broke out. The two christian men-at-arms jumped at the pagan one: the pagen slammed his short sword into the belly of one of the aggressors, and he himself got skewered. The villagers gathered round and beat the final man-at-arms to death. When they turned round to deal with the monk, he had gone; dissappeared into the nearby forest. the villagers finished their walk to the top of the rise and looked down on the plain below: it was filled with deer and berry bushes, several wild boar meandered around and a decent sized river teemed with fish. They decided this was where to build the Krendian Empire. The set to work building their town center.
A group of 3 men and three women found a mountianous area with a flat area. They made the flat area the town's location. They built a large wooden house with trees found. They discovered and tamed a pack of wild dogs. They hunted for food, clothing, and water.

As night came once again, so did a heavy rain. The men had collected a rather good supply of lumber, not having to carry it all back before the sun went down allowed them to work for more hours. But they were damn thankful they built the cabing, or else they would be sleeping in the mud. They had also contrusted a small tent to put the wood in incase it rained, so that it would not get soggy and rot.
The women however were terrifyed. They had been left at the town center all alone. Mounds of fish and fresh lambs meat was stocked in the town center, while they huddled together in the one house of the settlement, incase the food drew wild animals near they would be away and safe.
But with the morning came a surprising event. A group of 15 people had wondered all night in the rain and were soaking wet, tired and hungry. They had spotted the buildings when they entered the clearing and ran over to it hopingly. Being kind, the women gladly gave them food, warm clothes, and let them use the house to sleep while they went out to continue on their daily duties.

OOC: I'm going to join in on this! Seems great! Now we just have to wait for AoE III to come out and do another one.
IC: A group of six people, three men and three women, disembarked from their small exploration vessel on the coast of a large, uncharted island. They had traveled far, and were ready to start a new life.
A Town Center was quickly constructed, along with a house for the villagers that could not live in the Center. Then several of the villagers began building a mill near both some berry bushes and a good fishing spot, while two others built a lumber camp and one started on a dock.
By the middle of the next day the buildings were finished, but the villagers' meager supplies of food had run out, as had the few trees near the town center. Two of the villagers gathered berries from the bushes, while nearby one fished on the shore, also returning his produce to the mill.
Two others, realising the small town would need more wood to expand, chopped down trees next to the lumber camp, while the one remaining villager continued building the dock.
On the third day the dock was finished, and the stocks of wood from the lumber camp were used to begin construction of a fishing vessel. The villagers gathering food and wood continued, while the one remaining one made a miraculous discovery: a small group of ten people, having lived on the island previously, wished to join their settlement! These and the existing villager quickly built three more houses, and just finished as dusk fell.

The next day, everyone in the "village" went to work. The new settlers that had arrived the night before had told of a few horses not far from the area, an dhad went out and brought back 2 of them. These were attached to carts and sent regularly on the dirt road to the lumber camp to carry back wood.
The town center was bassically square, so 3 houses were built on each side of it. A group of bushes nearby held delicious berries, so a mill was constructed there to allow further food gathering. Also, near the river, was a small hill, on which surface sources of gold could be found. A mining camp was built there to allow the stockpiles to be stored there.
Packed dirt roads were built to the mill and the mine, and more horses were brought to pull carts back and forth from them.
It was at this time that another 20 people arrived at the city, and 6 more houses were built on each side of the town center, making a block of houses on each side.

ic: The three men and three women had been bannished from their orriginal community and so got in a boat and sailed down the river(the same one as taledonias). As they continued south they came upon and island in the middle of the river which had an almost protective barrier of rocks on its shores. The villagers finally came ashore and used what little supplies they had brought to build a Town Square. The leader of the six, Kulvrik al'Mandoragon, gave them a speach about how this city upon an island would be a power among powers some day and named it Malkier. He then assigned each villager a job. The other two men were to chop wood while the three women herded sheep and Kulvrik gave himself the job of mineing stone.
Within the first three days they had chopped enough wood to build three houses for the three couples and the next day a group of eight from their former community joined them after being banned. Two of their men began mineing stone another hunted and another helped chop wood. their females heped herd sheep and tend to the new gardens.
That night Kulvrik began to speak with one of the new settlers who was named Jonkur Halmentar...
"I thank you for your help today as it has been hard mineing by myself."
"It was not a problem! I thank you for allowing us to stay with you."
"You are very welcome. I have been thinking of this island as the beginning of a great power and for that power to rise we will need ships. Do any of your group know how to build ships?"
"Ah yes I am a shipwrith myself and one other among us is also. We would need a dock first in order for us to build ships."
"That can be done. We will begin construction tommorow."
Meanwhile...the eight natives of the island had been looking on in awe as these people expanded and they contemplated joining them but that was a decision for another day...

The Villagers of Frozopia had began construction of a simple log house. It would take months to complete, but when it was, they could fit many people in it.
Richard was unsure how they were going to fit building the loghouse, while they had to hunt, fish and chop more wood at the same time. But luckily his village came upon a blessing.
A group of 6, 3 men and 3 women staggered from the mountains, freezing cold and extremely hungry. They knew not where to go. It was Richard who discovered them, leading them to the safety of the snow cave. They immediatly assisted in extending the cave, so that now it could comfortably fit all of them.
The group of 6 decided to settle here among the Frozopians. The Frozopians decided to split the 6 up. 1 man and 2 women would swap for two of the hunters, so that the newcomers could not argue unfairness in their new job:
Building the log house.
The 2 fisher women had given up their job of catching fish with their simple spears. Instead they began to use parts of the boar and deer to create clothes for the various villagers, and also assisted in the building of the log house.
1 Interesting thing Richard had noticed was not too far north of the village, at the foot of the mountains was a good stone supply:
Maybe this could be used building the log house? He thought
But there would be time for that later.....

OOC: Looks Randomly interesting, Ill have a go. :)
IC:
An old, sea weed encrusted sail boat drifted into the rivers of the strange island. The wind directing its course, it passed through rivers and icey lakes, eventually coming to a slow stop when the wind died. After a few minutes, 6 young people disembarked from the boat, and surveyed their surroundings.
The place they had landed seemed reasonable enough. Snowy grass covered the floor, and ice covered the shore. Trees covered half of the area, the other by boulders and rocks. This left about 3 passages into the village; a large gap between the boulders and forest in the North, one smaller gap winding through the trees to the South, and one narrow passage thorough the rocks to the west. The 6 quickly registered the situation, and hastly began constructing a place to sleep and eat. After a couple of days of hard graft, they had constructed a large, but crude building, roughly in the centre of their settlement.
With thier efforts consentrated on "the centre" as they called it, they were hungry and tired. Hence, the 2 women were sent to forege from the nearby berry hedges for supper that evening, 2 men were sent to begin felling trees with some blunt axes they had constructed from wood and sharp components off the ship, another man was sent to start extracting the precious shiny, hard material from the rocks scattered about the village, and 1 man was sent out into the island to investigate.
That evening, the 6 were in "the centre", warmed by the fire from the wood that was now in plentyful supply, and full from the rich, sweet berries from the hedges. They were now listening to the man who had investigated the island.
"There are several more 'villages' out in the wilderness. The closest is to the West, were the winds are harsh and bitter, and the snow falls more heavily. He waved a hand at the meaty chunks now hanging from the roof of the centre. "I also traded some of the shiny rock for meat. They seem to be very good hunters, and found our shiny material intriguing. They call it 'gold'. The others nodded and listened interestingly. Then another man, the eldest out of all of them, spoke.
"We may be able to assume a close bond with these other people; they seem to live in the same conditions and area as us. This may help us advance and trade." The elder man, who was called Bernard Hoffman, raised his hands and exclaimed, "Brontonia is born". The rest nodded and pronounced the name of their settlement. "Brontonia".

IC:
"Look! Some gold!" Spoke Richard
The villagers sat around the camp fire, looking at the shiny, yellow material.
"How did you come accross it?"
"Some one came by, and asked to trade our meet for the gold!"
Each individual villager touched it, taking in its beauty.
"We must build friendship with these outsiders! I suggest we send some one, to talk of a joint future! They are to the East, not too far away!" Spoke Richard.
All the villagers mummered in aggreement. Another man stood up:
"I bring more news. The stone you mentioned Richard, Its is hard and strong. It will be perfect for the log house!"
"So me must build this log house out of stone! But we need people to mine it!"
"I suggest we send 1 logger and 1 hunter!"
"I agree. It will be hard work, so they should build a small camp, to sleep there some nights. Then, once every 3 sunrises they should make a journey bringing as much stone as possilbe! They should spend the whole day doing many journeys!"
"Yes. Luckily the stone is not far away. We have created some digging tools, but only very simple ones. We also have made a cart out of wood."
"I shall personally go to the outsiders camp." Spoke Richard. "They call themselves Brontonian's. I shall bring our excess meat and wood, and see what can be traded."

The next day, the group set about their various tasks. One of the females began fishing, while the other foreged. 2 of the men resumed the logging, and the other two carried on mining the precious ore.
Over a week, the villagers had built a small "lumber camp" near the forest, and the two miners found they could manipulate the rock and gold. Therefore, work increased with the newer and better tools, and with their advanced rock extraction, they managed to build a small mill for farm produce and a small cabin for the miners.
However, there were few of them, and they found it more and more harder to resume by themselves. Also, as acomplished worksmiths as they were, they could still not harvest and hunt effectivly, and lumber was duifficult to obtain without more hands.
This all changed, when one evening, the lumber workers heard the baying of wolves, and went to investigate for possible food. They ventured into the woods, and found a couple of them circling a huddle of people. The two men resumed to kill the creatures, and after their keen axes had pierced the wolf-flesh, the small gorup of people followed them to their settlement. All-in-all, there were 4 men and 3 women.
After this, to repay their life-debut to the woodsmen, 2 more men and a women joined the lumber-jacks, another 2 women and a man laid crops outside the mill, and the last man helped with the gold and rock extraction, of which they had quite a large supply.
The next day, after a meeting of sorts, all the villagers came together and built an "outpost". They had realised that dangerous predators lay in the forests, and also knew of the other settlements. They built it on the right of the gap between the rocks and forest, and could see along the vast plain for miles around.
Stats:
5 Lumberjacks
4 Farmers
1 Fisher
3 Miners. (2) Rock (1) Gold
OOC: BTW, how are you supposed to do this? Where do the villagers and militia come from?
12 more people, 6 men and 6 women, came to the village. They were put in the wooden long house. They decided to have a leader, they would vote for one. They put a big stone near the house, they took a black stone and put a line under the person's name. Jopsf Hanstane won the "election". They called him "President". He ordered to people with no work to find horses. A black smoke came from a hole in the house, it was the pit fire warming the house.

Even before the next day had dawned, the villagers were out working, determined to make their settlement flourish. During the night, two fishing ships with 20 more villagers had arrived, bringing the total numbers of the village up to 36, and also meaning that there were now three fishing ships, who sailed around the island, bringing back plentiful food.
Meanwhile, the villagers quickly constructed many more houses, meaning that the settlement now had six, in addition to the Town Center. Several villagers began exploring, and some hunted to bring back meat to the mill, while others stumbled upon a deposit of gold! Immediately, several villagers were sent to build a mining camp at the gold supply, and were soon mining the gold for use in the settlement.
While hunting, several of the villagers had come upon a wild boar, and while killing it, had gotten wounded. While they recuperated in the settlement, they developed a loom to weave better clothing for the villagers, giving them better defense against wild animals. By the end of the day, all the villagers were outfitted in the more sturdy attire, and those newly healed villagers went back to hunting.

Richard struggled through the woods, chunks of deer carcass slung over his back. At last he came upon an outpost of a village of sorts. Walking towards the village centre, he paused to greet the Brontonian's.
"Hello. I am Richard, leader of Frozopians. Shall we discuss the future, and trade maybe?"
Back at home the Frozopians were completing the log house. A month since they started, they had finally set up a rough stone and wood building. The 6 builders looked proud at what they had completed, and the village rejoiced.
It was not a comfortable building yet, but It was more comfortable than the cave they had been sleeping in. There was room in the log house, or as they called it now, the town centre, for 30 villagers at a squeese.
The 6 villagers continued upon the building, making it more comfortable and more secure. They were also building what they called a chimney, an outlet for the fire smoke in the centre of the town centre.
It was the hunters that strolled upon the new comers. 5 Men and a woman had been wondering the hills, when they saw the smoke of the town centre. They had been intercepted by the hunters, who welcomed them with open arms;
"This way! Our leader is absent, but there is plenty of room in the town centre, and plenty of food."
The new visitors to the village were willing to work for their food, and quickly became part of it. The new comers spoke of wild beasts in the greener hills to the south. Beasts that were brown and black, with strange feet. They resembled deer. The new comers volunteered to investigate and trap some of these strange beasts, without injuring them. The rest of the village agreed, so that 4 of the new comers headed south. The other one asked to help with the hunting, as more food would be needed with more people. She was granted this permission:

With the new hands, work had doubled. With the need for more food to support the settlement, a small fishing dock was built, and with wood supplies a fishing boat was created. With the fish intake, and farmers, much more food was produced. This was used to feed the 15 more people that arrived on foot from the icy wastes.
With more people, 3 more houses were constructed to accomodate the new arrivals. This totaled 4 houses to support the growing population. The settlement was growing! With Wood and Gold at a peak, a barracks was built for defense. 5 militia men were trained, and fitted with lether armour and well crafted weapons, compliments of the miners. These militia were sent to patrol the 3 entrances into Brontonia.
5 of the 15 new arrivals set to farm work, 5 more attend to the lumber camp, 3 to Gold mining, and 2 to Rock mining. One of the lumberjacks was ravaged by one of the wolves that lurk in the forest, which was in-turn killed by the blade of a militia man.
On one frosty day, a militia man brought an envoy from the other village to Bernard Hoffman, who had taken the role as "king". "Welcome to Brontonia, I would like us to be allys, to help each other in our quest for a better life" The envoy agreed to this, and was sent back to his village with the things they lacked in their harsher climate: Berries, various vegtables and sacks of Gold.

The two leaders exchanged gifts. From now on these two settlements would be united in their quest for a better life. Richard stayed at the Brontonian camp a night, and then headed home. 2 Days later and he arrived at the town centre, with some vegetables, berries and gold. He came back to hear of the new comers, who were trying to capture the beasts in the hilly, greener lands of the south.
But he did meet one newcomer. The beautiful women Ana, who had been helping with the hunting. It was love at first site, and Ana became Richards mate.
Later that day the beast gatherers returned, grinning from ear to ear. With them was a beast, 16 hands tall who's coat was completley white. The beast gatherers had come up with a idea of tying together roots and branches until they had a toughened 'rope'. They then formed a noose, and after 3 hours they hurled the noose over the horse and pulled with all their might. After a brief match of strength the horse gave up and they led it to the village. t Presenting as a gift to Richard, the introductions begun, followed by a party. There was much to celebrate with a new beast, which they called a horse, and the completion of the Town centre.
Richard named the horse Snow-Winds, and began taming the wild beast day after day. The Horse gatherers promised to catch more, and to begin breeding them. The Builders began to build a 'stables' as they called it, next to the town centre for the horse and those to follow it. They also promised to build a stone wall around a large amount of area for the horses to excercise in.
The Horse stayed in the empty space in the log house, for the meanwhile.
Ana quit her hunting duty and began to make garments out of deer skin and boar skin for the whole settlement. It would take awhile, but she was putting together a wooden frame, that she called a 'Loom' for better clothes.

OOC: mine will be the poop...ill probably lose track of my post and never return again...
IC: The first of them to awake, a well built, dark skinned man. His attire a dull metal plating around his chest, a short sword hung at his side. He looked around quickly taking in his surrounding, his companions, the monk, the young couple, and the mercenary, known only as Shadow; were all in varying states. By the look of his wounds, Shadow wouldn't live long. The monk was bleeding slightly from his forehead. The couple looked rather safe, bumps, bruises and scratches here and there. Glancing down at himself, he noticed a slight gash across his right leg, without the monks help, the wound would trouble him for months to come. Groaning, he raised himself to his feet, holding a shaft of wood for support. He began the task of waking the others.
The survivors emerged from the vessel, no hopes of returning home in that with the state it was in. No hopes of returning home with the way that their ruler had oppressed them. Sending them to war in tiny wooden vessels against a vastly more advanced enemy with boats like buildings, able to destroy the miniature naval fleet in seconds.
The monk healed the soldiers leg, and began the tiresome work of trying to treat Shadow. The couple set about retrieving pieces of wood from their ship to construct a crude accomodation.
The soldier, Arman, left the others, in search of shelter, and a source of food. Their meagre supplies would not last long, and then it would be survival of the fittest...

OOC: Frozopia, if you're building stables, doesnt that mean you're in the castle age? heck, you cant advance without 2 buildings from the feudal age. Just a thought.

You can get stales in feudal age, and I didnt realise we were following AOE II so strictly. Also Its basically preparation for when I reach feudal age, at the moment it will be small building, where I keep my horses before I tame them.
I wont be training anything in it, till I get to feudal when I can get scouts.

Kulvrik and Jonkur had begun building the Dock and after four hours they were about half way done. Throughout the day many of the lumber jacks had been talking of the "Tree People" they claimed lived in the forests. When kulvrik and Jonkur had taken their break they decided to go speak to the lumberjacks and what stories they told. Stories of men with painted faces and women who wore next to nothing. Kulvrik had thought no other inhabited the isle but apparently he had been wrong. He decided to send two of the lumberjacks to scout the forests.
After four more hours and the near completion of the dock the two lumberjacks came back trailed by eight other people. Kulvrik went to welcome them as Jonkur finished the buildings...
"Welcome we are the Malkierii and we wlcome you to our village!"
A man stepped forward from the eight and he seemed to be their leader. A strong man with bronze skin and dark hair and eyes he spoke with authority...
"I am Hamontru of the Jinlass. We have lived he for a few years and have noticed your advancement and apparent knowledge. We wish to stay with you and advance the greatness of this village."
Kulvrik pondered this apparent question and he greeted them witha smile after a few seconds...
"Our people would welcome you to stay with us! We have need of more hands to mine a recently discovered area with gold."
With that the village conveened for the day...
At the crack of dawn the village was up and working as Jonkur led three of the new men in building a fishing boat. Kulvrik had the other two men mine the gold while he mined the stone. The stone stockpile had risen to a considerable amount and it was decided that they would build a mill and seven more houses for their village.
As the days passed the village continued to be abound with activivty as three boats were completed and the mill built. Work had begun on the seven houses and they were complete in another week. The village brew steadilly and nothing of immense importance had happened for a while. Then unexpectadly another boat two boats arrived filled with twenty people. they spoke of the terrors from their former community and how their king had gone mad and had been sacrificeing the villagers to assorted gods. Included within the twenty were ten warriors and with their stories came fear, immense fear for their lives and their villages safety. The villagers decided on a whim that they would build seven towers of stone to rival those of their former community. They would allow them to see for miles around their village and into the river. This feat would not be completed easily and caused the cessesion of mineing and lumberjacking nfor several days as many worked on the towers. They would be an example of Malkierii supremacy and ability....

The settlement was thriving. Several of the children from the ships had now grown up enough to help in the community, while a eight people were washed ashore on the beaches also. They were quickly nursed back to health, and now the population numbered fifty.
The people decided that they needed a name and a leader for the settlement. An election was held in the Town Center, and Aramil, a man from the first group of villagers to found the settlement, was chosen to head it. He named their land 'Caladonn.'
Invigorated, the people went back to work. Soon, three more fishing ships were constructed, along with three houses. More people began working at all resources, and a deposit of stone was found. A few villagers were sent to build a mining camp there, and stockpile the stone for future buildings.
Now that the settlement was very well established and was growing rapidly as new villagers came of age, Aramil decided it was time to focus a bit more on technology. He thought it was time for the Dark Ages the people were living in to come to an end, and for a more Feudalistic way of doing things be established. Research was conducted in the town center for this purpose.

OOC: rushed post... twas the nite before the holiday... and everythings rush rush rush!
IC: Arman returned late in the evening, the skys cloak falling black to greet the ground, an hour or less of sunlight left.
The young couple had constructed a crude dwelling that would suffice for the time being. Shadow had passed on, and had been sent down the river afloat a boat decorated in various local flowers, his last voyage to greet his gods.
The monk had wandered the lands close by, and noted the location of several untame sheep and gazelle. Not too far from this, a small watering hole, never the less thriving with fish of all kinds. A food source to be sure.
Armans find was the greatest. From his belt pouch, he produced several small pieces of shiny yellow rock, the colour of the sun. He passed a piece each to the colonists, and headed for the shelter. He had a busy day planned, not only for himself, but for the others too. Whether they realised it or not, but harsh winds were gathering from the north, meaning a swift departure for them all if they did not take the proper precautions, and this shanty hut would not offer much protection...

Kulvrik was happy with the progression of the seven towers and decided to take a trip to meet the fabled Taledonians who lived further up river...
He got in a boat flanked by five warriors who had taken to calling him the "Lord of the Seven Towers" as had the majority of the population. Kulvrik took with him some gold and stone and hoped to gain friendship from these people...
