Tired of all the other Earths?

Ever joined a new Earth only to find you were too, little too, late, and that the nation (or nations) your little heart desired were already seized by a rival nation?

Are you a newb looking for an Earth created by a fellow newb?

If you answered 'yes,' to any of the above (and no, you don't have to be a newb to join this Earth), then TLE is just the right Earth for y-o-u!

You'll experience good times and bad, uproarious belly laughs and salty tears, moments of joy and moments of sorrow...er, wait, never mind, that sounds more like a description of a marriage than an Earth.

There aren't too many rules.

If you're a lazy guy who doesn't like having to write over 50 pages just to conquer a tiny Third World nation whose military couldn't swat a fly, no fear. In this Earth, you can start with six- yes, you read that correctly, six- nations free of charge.

After that, though, you'll have to RP to get additional nations. Oh, and you can have up to 5 U.S. states and all 5 of the states are free (and they don't count as your five free nations; even if you decide to start with five nations for free, you can still take up to five states for free as well).

Narodna Odbrana and the Red Temple are still struggling over the future of Farthest India (a/k/a Southeast Asia) way back in the middle of the 16th Century, but it's gotten wierd [since when is time travel not weird?!?]). Wierd as in causality weird, and that wasn't supposed to be able to happen navigating through quantum multiverses...

The former Serbian terrorist organisation may need to ... ah ... borrow a couple of your operatives. Specifically, they may need a vampire (yes, a vampire) familiar with life in Bosnia, c. 1914 (that date should chill you to the bone), as well as a human servant (which was common in those days). I assume that, being real vampires, this "can't-walk-around-in-the-daylight" b_lls_t doesn't apply?

Thing is, their agents (a Japanese woman, a Turkish woman, and a Serbian man, probably masquerading as other nationalities, given the period) will likely show up to make the request in Wallachia, c. 1565, if you can set the stage...

Nope, who ever wants Canada will get it. Same thing with the Nicobar Islands after they fight for it because it is part of India. I divide up the USA (50 states), Russia (Six parts), Antarctica (Four parts) and China (Three parts).

Okinawa and Iwo Jima, I put those with Japan. You have Macau, Wake Island, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Gilbert Islands and Northern Mariana Islands.

Red Tide2 owns Guam. You want it; you will have to fight for it.

The Sakhalin Islands are part of Russia, so take over whatever part is near it. I think it is the Southeast part.

And the Aleutians up to Alaskan territory just take Alaska.

If so, I'd like to claim Jagada's lands in South America, assuming he doesn't participate or is active in this Earth. I don't really care for his USA claims, as it'd be more difficult trying to hold onto them with Whittier and Chronosia around those states. Its far easier to control and protect a continuous border than haphazardly across the world. For example... holding California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona would be much easier to do and successfuly defend than if it was California, Maine, Florida, and Iowa. Get my drift?

Paraguay has crap for military hardware (Most South American stuff is from 1970's or so, obsolete by today's standards). It was kind of an easy push, until my forces ran into stiff Paraguayan defenses protecting the most valuable cities of Paraguay like Asuncion for one.

As for my Body Armor, I'm not good at stats and such. But what I do know and what I'm basing this off is an upscaled version of the USA's Land Warrior program. The body armor employs micro-hydraulics to aid movement, while having ceramic material as the armor itself. I think I could get away with employing CHOBHAM armor as body armor, I guess. I will have to talk to Schultaria Prime or someone knowledgable about this to get any stats or whatever. Once again, I'm not that proficient at stats or techno-babble.

However, the Body Armor is only employed in Urban Warfare, namely sieges and invasions of cities and metropolitan areas. The Body Armor won't be used elsewhere, except perhaps in the plains (or flat terrain), as it is not designed to function in, say, a forest, jungle, swamp, or mountain terrain.



To be honest, a backwards nation like Paraguay has little in way of military resources, hardware, and personnel to repel a nation of Sharina's size and power. Besides, nobody even bothers to RP NPC resistance anymore, so I try my best to RP it as realistically as I believe is possible within a 2000 - 2020 timeframe (or 2030 if need be).

It is like full body Kevlar suit with a built-in radio and air system. There is a built-in cooling system too, it keep the suit warm for cold areas or cool in hot areas.

We need to establish a list of RP'ers who are willing to actively participate and create an international atmosphere- like alliances, war, trade, diplomacy, etc.

As it stands, Earth TLE has seen no RP activity other than the occassional annexation RP. I'd like to see some player VS / WITH player action. We need to figure something out if this Nazi Nation thing doesn't pan out.

I think we can manage nukes only if they are used sparingly, like 10 total during the entire course of the war, just not the 1,000+ or 10,000+ nukk0rz wankfests like in NS Earth.

I'm here and alive, but for now I'm tied up in other RP's. I'm not really interested in a major World War RP, and my Japan is really more into being a shadowy criminal underworld in semi-isolation (kind of like the early 19th Century meets the 21st). The Russian part of my Empire could get involved in one, but again that's not a priority for them - and they're not keen on fighting either The Transylvania or Bonstock.

But I'm still here...

Question, what are the "sides" going to be in the war and what is the war about? Who do we all hate and have as allies and why are we fighting?

Like I have always thought WWIII would happen in RL. Over oil. Kordo, because he control most or all of the Middle East, could jack up the price of oil.

Creating havoc in the world, the Dominion would be fine because I have three nations in the Middle East. So, I have my oil. So, I started selling my oil for cheaper then Kordo.

Maybe Kordo see me as a rival. So, he starts to invade my Middle East nations. Forcing me to fight back.

I think we should try to keep the populations on each side more or less equal. Kordo has over 4 Bil. pop. I've got 2.7 Bil or so, Transylvania has 1.1 Bil. or so and Sharina has 2.3 Bil. or so. Those numbers are hard to divey up in a way that is more or less equal with The Transylvania against Kordo. However, if The Transylvania joined with Kordo, they would have a little over 5 Bill. pop and Sharina and I together would have a little over 5 Bil. in pop. - more or less equal. I'm in India primarily and in a good place to stage an attack into Arabian countries from and Sharina has a fair amount of oil - enough to fuel a war at the expense of his and my civilians, in his holdings in the Americas, which with my holdings there can also serve as a "supply" depot for the war in the Middle East for our side - just an idea.

As to names - since the war is over oil and will focus in the middle east with those who depend on it for their continued livelihood trying to ensure a cheap supply, how about the:

No matter which side I join, that puts Sharina on the other side and will create a large (2-3 Billion or so) pop imbalance between the sides - What if you and Kordo are on the same side and me and Sharina are on the same side, then we both have about 5 billion. Better yet, though, would be a few more people in the war.

I work on the Alternate universerse theory - my nations exists on all earths and in all realities, but with subtle differences between them in each realitity - destruction of me on this earth will not affect me on, say, Earth V or NS Earth, just as my destruction there wouldn't affect me here.

I don't know what is scary, that I understand what you are talking about or that I think thats a great idea and the terms you put it in made it completly understandable to me.

@Transylvania - go get and read "Dune" the movies don't even come close to doing justice to the book. While the setting is a far flung, sci-fi universe, the motivations and political intrigue are as old as the pyramids. There are very few sci-fi books that deserve consideration by people who are not true fans of the sci-fi genre, but Dune is one of the sci-fi genre books that everyone should read.

Sharina - You don't want to have to depend soley on your domestic supply and deplete it - it is to your advantage that some of your oil is imported from the nations that have lots of it. Further, raising the price as Kordo has done is damaging to the world's economy as a whole - that hurts you financially in other ways. What about ships that refuel in foreign ports, etc.

I may or may not enter the war, it all depends on if people start sinking my ships and/or downing my aircraft. This war would be a perfect opportunity to sell people my weapons and see how well they work in the battlefield.

Chronosia, this is the first time Dominion Oil was offer to the world. So, offering it for $41 per barrel is a good idea to the Count because he owns Dominion Oil. The more oil we sale, the more money the Count will get.

I'm on at eccentric times- I'm sometimes on in the AM, sometimes in the PM, and sometimes at night. I don't have any "routine" times, I just sign on whenever.
