In the Beginning ( Late BC )
Arabian tribes have been at war with each other as long as the oldest elder could remember. Kingdoms had been established, and had fallen. Conquests had happened across the sands of Arabia, and many Arabian men and boys fell victim of either blade or arrow or the sands of time. Recently the Arabian Kingdoms ammounted to only three Kingdoms. The Himyar Kingdom was the power of south Arabia, around the lands that would later succede and be named Omar and Yemen. Though the Kingdom was quite young, they never would have known they would out last the other two Kingdoms, though for only so long.
Arabia, 1 AD
Everything was quiet between the three Kingdoms. They had kept to there selves lately, conquering land from indigenous tribes. Ther hadn't been much talk with foreign nations outside of Arabia, but the Kings of the three different Kingdoms knew they were being watched by the Romans and there neighboring African Kingdoms. The Himyar Kingdom had profited from the many captured goods, and there vast armys grew. Everyone believed that the Himyar were quite strong for a young Kingdom.
No one held to much land in Northern Arabia, but the Romans had invaded not so long ago. Only twenty-four years to be exact, but adventurers from up North brough back news of the Roman Legions pulling out due to the vast Arabian deserts.
The King of Himyar sat quietly in his Palace. He knew that something was wrong with this stillness between the three Kingdoms, the undeclared cease fire. Thats when a Messenger arrived, sent by one of his Generals.
-Himyar King " What is it? "
-Messenger " Your majesty, I bring you horrifying news from your armys from northern Himyar. They have spotted a vast Sabaean army. We only have a few days untill they arrive. What should you have me tell your armys? "
-Himyar King " This...this is definatly not good. Send to my armys that I will send more Archers to defend the walls. As for any foot soldiers, they will have to be on there own for now. Hurry and make haste young messenger! "
-Messenger " Yes my majesty! "
The Himyar King was stricken. He hadn't thought even once that the Sabaeans would be invading, he always believed it was the Hadhramaut Kingdom that would attempt an invasion. Perhaps the Sabaeans were trying to conquest both Kingdoms, perhaps they were going for total control once and for all. The Himyar King was stricken with anxiety, he feared his people would be slaughtered and he would lose his land. But no, no that wouldn't happen. Though the Himyar King felt his defeat nearing, his future leadership would actually quell an counter invasion which will mute the other two Kingdoms. It would be a decendant that will one day slay the Saba King's decendant, and the Hadhramaut King's decendant. But the Kingdom would shorty die after a few hundred of years and the Himyari Arabia would split into Civil War, but would finally be brought together under an ideology named Islam.
