Introduction
VDZ & VL was created after the need was seen for a new company which could take most of the Van Luxemburgian Army's orders. VDZ & VL was created in 2002, and received large orders from the Van Luxemburgian Armed Forces. Therefore, after the huge success it was in it's own nation, Van Luxemburg decided to open it for foreign sales. Van Luxemburgian officials have travelled to many nations ever since, to service other clients. We hope you might be our next!
We however do encourage you to do your own math, as it's quite uncomfortable to our people to calculate all our clients orders. We don't want any overworked assistants!

The PPz-3 is Van Luxemburg's answer to the need for a combined Armoured and armed Pioneer and Recovery vehicle, Which is to be based on the heaviest of all tanks in the Van Luxemburgian inventory, the BdC-15. It was intended to be a replacement for the AMX-30 ARV, in service with the Van Luxemburgian Army since the early 1970's. Currently, around 2,000 PPz-3's have been built, and are in service with the Armoured Brigades of the Van Luxemburgian Army.
Propulsion
The PPz-3 is supplied with VLT Automotive's masterpiece, the VV24 engine. This engine, which are in fact two V-12 engines joined together, delivers 2400 HP, while running on several possible fuels, of which Bio-Diesel is encouraged to use. it also uses a VLT Air-assisted Transmission, built to assist the driver to make higer speeds. 6 forwards gears and 2 reverse gears are built-in. the engine of the PPz-3 is located in the back, surrounded by sound-isolating materials and a layer of titanium armouring.
Armour
the armour of the PPz-3 is basically the same as it's bigger brother, the BdC-15, which consists of a layer of Chobham Armour, and a layer of Cermet Armour. This combination, reinforced with depleted Uranium rods, makes it almost 623mm (400mm Chobham, 223mm Cermet) thick, making a total RHAe value of about 1440mm. This can be reinforced with an Enhanced Appliqué Armour kit of 100mm thick, upping the RHAe level to an absolute maximum of 2440 mm.
Main Armament
The main armament of the "Nashorn" was supplied by Müller Panzerwerke, and consists of a double 35mm autocannon, equipped with an autoloader. This gun can fire both AP and HE rounds. As it has been supplied with an Autoloader, one crewmember could be removed from the list. the autoloader has been covered with Titanium protection, with service hatches, to forecome accidents like those happened in the T-72. The main storage for AP and HE rounds is located just under the cannon itself, also using it's own armoured case, to prevent explosion during a strike. The main gun uses a digital stabilizing system, to make sure rounds are fired straight at the target indicated.
The gunner also has the Fire Management system FM13B, allowing to track targets, set the max number of shots in a minute, fire the gun, automatically aim the gun, and switch between rounds and the Co-axial MG. The weapon has been located in the turret, which is unable to move due to the crane.
Secondary Armament
The PPz-3 is Equipped with heavy secondary armaments, such as two 7.62mm Minimi MGs and one HOT Anti-Tank rocketlauncher, aswell as one Starstreak Infrared-Guided Anti-Air Missilelauncher. Also, another 7.62mm Minimi MG has been located Co-Axial to the Double 35mm Autocannon. Every crewmember in the Van Luxemburgian Army is also supplied with the MP-7 PDW, aswell as a SIG P226 pistol.
Crew
The crew is quite large, for an Recovery and Pioneer only one meter longer than an Leopard 2A6. This was mainly done to be able to operate the crane and other equipment. The Commander, Gunner, Technician and Crane Operator are all located inside the turret, while the driver operates the tank from below, inside the hull. he also is able to operate the scoop/dozer in front of the vehicle. The Crane operator is able to control it's crane from out of the turret, due to several cameras located on the crane itself.
Systems
The PPz is equipped with as many systems as there were available as of 2003.
Here is a small selection:
Anno-2 EOCMDAS
Anno-2 consists of a specialized computer/control panel, two electro-optical interference emitters located on each side of the gun, four laser sensors located on top of the turret, and racks of dedicated anti-laser smoke grenades.
The Anno-2 has two combat roles. In the first role, it works against IR guided ATGMs, by aligning the turret front to the incoming ATGM and using IR emitters to send false signals which scramble the ATGM guidance system. The principle involved is the following.
Wire-guided missiles such as the American TOW are guided to the target by means of a wire and a flare on the back of the missile. The flare is used to keep a 'reference point' of the missile in relationship to the target lock held by the operator, and the guidance computer tries to put the flare on the reference point. Anno-2 emitters create a large hotspot, essentially tricking the missile guidance into following the Anno-2 hotspot instead of the flare hotspot, resulting in faulty course corrections by the ATGW computer. In fact, the computer shall usually believe that no horisontal course correction is necessary since the false flare comes from the same direction as the targeted tank, while vertical corrections shall cause ATGM to either dive into the ground or climb into the sky, depending on whether the operator holds the lock below or above the emitters.
The second part of the system defeats laser guided weapons. When a laser beam is detected the Anno-2 informs the crew with light and sound; it then launches laser defeating smoke grenades, which enshroud the tank and break or degrade the lock. The tank commander can also press a button that will turn the turret front to the laser to meet incoming ATGM with the best protected section and to engage the laser beam source with the maingun. This system is roughly a modernised version of the Russian Shtora-1 system.
FM-3
The FM-3 systems is used to make the gun more independent from the gunner. The FM-3 system takes over the role of target-finding, Aiming, and firing. It is equipped with advanced IR sensors, aswell as Day/night vision, thermal night sights, Rangefinders and a fully automated computing system.
CHS Cees-1
The Commander-Help-System is used to assist the commander by giving orders. It has stored many known strategies and Anti-Tank systems, aswell as most known vehicles, such as the Abrams or the Leopard, but also the ST-37K1, for example. It also scans the horizon and make spossible threat assesments. E.g.: If a T-55 tank comes from the East, and an Abrams from the West, the CHS will advise the commander to open fire on the Abrams first. It will also advise how to engage that Abrams, and which gun/round to use. This is all based on Day/Night vision, thermal sights, rangefinders and IR systems, aswell as a military internet, to connect to HQ, or other tanks.

The PPz-4 was originally designed to serve as a bridge-laying vehicle, and has later been equipped with weaponry allowing it to be on the frontline of battle. It is however not encouraged. Both the Commander and the Bridge operator/Gunner reside in the turret, while the driver has it's location in the hull. Despite the size of the turret, it allows two men to be in it, with their feet located in the hull, behind the driver.
All systems applied to the PPz-3 have been applied on the PPz-4, with the exception of the Crane Operation system, which has been replaced by a camera-operated bridge deployment system.

Description
The Spz-9 Wildkätze was a joint project with Falken Armour Works of Wingarde, and designed in an attempt to supply both the Wingarde and Van Luxemburg Militaries with a light and heavily-armed vehicle that posessed tracks, which was uncommon for an IFV in both Militaries. The vehicle is built with, for the Van Luxemburgian version, a Müller Panzerwerke 35mm cannon, as seen on the Pioniere Panzer 3 (PPz-3). An universal Falken Automotors engine was installed, delivering 1100 HP. The vehicle is able to reach 810 km on one 750 liter tank, which is an average of 1 km on 1.08 liters of fuel. It has 6 gears, combined in an air-assisted gearbox for shifting.
With a mere 6.8 metres, this vehicle resembles a slight increase in length to that of a normal IFV. The weight is rated at 31.8 tons, which gives it a level 30.2 classification in the Van Luxemburgian Military, concerning bridges and other weight-specific objects. Thanks to it's tracks, the vehicle is better able to conquer heavy terrain, and it can pull up to slopes of 75%, while a flip-over danger of the vehicle exists at 47% sideways. The vehicle is also able to move through water of a maximum of 1.6 metres deep, when not using it's amphibious possibilities, while in use, this makes no depth limit, thanks to two shafts at the back of the vehicle enabling the SPz-9 to make a maximum speed of 7km/h over water.
The armour usually provides protection for 7.62mm bullets from every range, though a 14.5mm bullet will cause damage from a maximum 500 metres distance. By then, the Spz-9 should have tracked the enemy, and should be able to open fire. With additional armouring (applique), this can be further protected up to 30mm. This however makes the vehicle very heavy, and it is not advised to use this as a standard issue.

Meant as a less-expensive service rifle than the JK-1 Advanced Assault Rifle, the JK-13 is the new standard service rifle of the Van Luxemburgian Armed Forces. For it’s basics, the designers of VDZ & VL contacted the Swiss, in an attempt to get the blueprints of the SIG 55x series. Initial talks failed, but in later conferences, the Van Luxemburgians received full cooperations from the Swiss. The weapon has been chambered to the standard 6.8x43mm Van Luxemburgian – A round which has better specifics than the 5.56mm – bullet rounds, and has been slightly modified to allow the weapon to work together with the FELIN/VL Advanced Battlefield Programme, making the JK-13 available for the system’s barrel-mounted camera, aswell as connectivity with the HUD, which includes the number of rounds left in the current magazine. For the Van Luxemburgian Army, the VDZ & VL engineers will mount a special JK-13 scope, including red-dot sight, 10x24 telescopic view, aswell as the ability to mount other scopes. The weapon has become heavier due to the modifications, but still isn’t as heavy as a HK G3 or SA80. The weapon can be delivered with extras like the JK320 40mm GL, or Laser/flashlight combinations, all connected onto the Picatinny Rail under the rifle.

RFz-6 “Uil”
The Uil was designed as a Multirole UAV, but was instead used as an Air-based Reconaissance platform. The Uil is loaded on an aircraft, usually in it’s weapons bay, or exterior. The Uil has a special launching system, which allows it to drop in free-fall, whereafter it engages a small 65 hp VLT turboprop to fly away. The aircraft can be recovered by aligning the Laser systems on both the UAV and the recovery system. Then, the remotely controlled aircraft can be steered right into the arms of the recovery system by aligning the camera for the pilot right onto the laser signal, using a crosshair aiming system. Then, the UAV can be hooked onto the recovery system, and return into the weapons bay. In emergencies, the Uil can be self-destructed, erasing all images and video material made.
The Uil’s duty is to launch from aircraft, assisting them in reconaissance duties, so the pilot can see if the area ahead, or directly under him, is as it was told to him at the briefing. This way, he doesn’t need to perform dangerous maneuvres with a large aircraft himself, but can send a cheaper and smaller alternative down to earth. This technology will mainly be installed on heavier aircraft, aswell as several fighter aircraft. The Van Luxemburgian Airforce and Navy have ordered several operational sets, which should be placed on carriers and major airforce bases.
The Van Luxemburgian Airforce also planned several “UAV-Tenders”, old Boeing E-3’s Fokker F-27’s or Breguet Br1150’s able to deploy more than five UAV’s every flight. Currently, the Van Luxemburgian Navy (Marine), is investigating to buy several conversed Boeing and Airbus Civil Airliners, which can unload around 20-30 UAV’s every flight. Aboard should be around 100 men worth of personnel, busy piloting the aircraft itself, recovering aircraft, piloting the UAV’s, aswell as performing Technical and Communication duties.

Services for education on the physics of movement through the atmosphere at speeds exceeding the speed of sound and up to mach 8.
Orbital radar technology and related.
Information on the range and effectiveness of the most advanced anti-ship missile ordinance available and possibilities for the future.
"Smart bomb" and GPS based guidance systems.

Phriykui'linoy'li'esis is interested in promoting education via an exchange program between our leading universities and scientific institutions allowing experts to view various avenues of research of each nation, open to the public and otherwise, and expand our technological sectors. Each year Phriykui holds a conference for each of the major fields of science ranging from philosophy, politics, psychology and sociology to medicine, biochemistry, human biology, information technology, computer science, engineering and theoretical physics.
Phriykui is a small developping nation far surpassed by your utopic superpower, but we share the same values concerning progress with moral value and wish to share more.
[Private channel openned]
This is not only a front to share research, but also to open up many other avenues for military technology. The conventional arms you have offer little protection from unconventional arms and for a country of 1.1 billion it is important to have some sort of deterant. Especially for such a role model of human achievement such as your nation. Phriykui is not interested in obtaining nuclear arms and has allies on Atlantis who can serve as a nuclear deterant, it would prefer to explore avenues for defense against modern war and has been researching such possibilities since it's conception. You will open up avenues for research that Phriykui cannot fund, Phriykui will part with some of it's space program's and major scientist's work.
As of yet we will not disclose sensitive information as we have not determinned what we require from you. This will be achieved in the following years via our university exchange programs. Feel free to participate in the conferences coming this year.

We accept any terms set by you, and we would like to work together. we would like to inform you that we're a nuclear superpower, but we do not subscribe to the Deterrant tactic. we will only use them when we are directly threatened, and then it's still to doubt about. we are however developing unconventional weapons (Biological and Chemical.) we will never lower us to the level of Terroristic Unconventional warfare. we would like to inquire what you're planning on researching, and maybe Van Luxemburg already has the technology available.

OOC- It does not have the "Pizzaz" things like Mac's and The Xeno has, I still find it nice, nevertheless, although i do not usually order from storefronts. Oh, yes, it could also use a larger inventory too, it takes time VL :P

OOC: I know I don't have a large inventory, but I'm working on it. But could you explain what kind of "Pizzaz" you mean?
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=412411
^ Roman Republics storefront is the best example i can offer.
Massive inventory, Nice easy to use links, and item packages.(Which everyone seems to love, no matter how unrealistic it would be) The Storefront market has also, sadly become very Saturated and it is VERY hard to make sales to experienced RP'ers who have chosen a storefront they purchase from.

[OOC: Perhaps adding more detail to your products and putting them on the NS Draftroom for improvement shall help it out? And perhaps making the text look more sophisticated and more good colorings here and there, it can in hooking in potential buyers.]

OOC: Well, the thing is, It doesn't makes sense to offer RL equipment, as everybody can produce them themselves. I will look over Packages, maybe they're good to attract some sales.
I acknowledge that the makret is very saturated. There are almost more storefronts then RP's, so it seems.

[OOC: Perhaps adding more detail to your products and putting them on the NS Draftroom for improvement shall help it out? And perhaps making the text look more sophisticated and more good colorings here and there, it can in hooking in potential buyers.]
Well, I've been working on the text, but since I'm not a fluent Englishman, I could have some problems with that, and the number of words in my vocabulary. And I've been really busy on improving my designs. I've been assisted by Listeneisse, which eventually meant that I was able to improve some of my weaponry. How do you mean "Colouring"?
Southeastasia
20-05-2006, 16:12
[OOC: By text, I mean more fancy fonts (i.e. Palatino Linotype - like this!)and by coloring, I mean like more bright colors (like Mac's Kriegzimmer storefront, he uses colored fonts to make the stuff more standing out and differientiate between the catalogs). BTW, here's the link to the NS Draftroom (http://z13.invisionfree.com/The_NS_Draftroom/index.php?act=idx). You're a member there aren't you VL, why not use that account to it's full potential?]
Van Luxemburg
20-05-2006, 16:21
OOC: I'll look over those things. But bear in mind that I'm just designing for fun, and won't be making extra designs because of the sales. The things I offer have emerged from needs of my army.
And yes, I have my NS Draftroom account. Somewhere. But I don't use it, and I probably won't in the future. The thing is, I need weaponry to enter service quickly, and not wait halof a month till I can actually put them into my ORBAT. I rarely RP combats to the full use of my weaponry. I don't use the techology to it's full potential. I'm clear about that. And if there's something wrong, I'll be attended in some way. I've done my research, I've run it through my contacts. If I've got questions, I'll answer them. Maybe I'll use The Draftroom once, maybe twice, but I won't start using it to it's full potential.
May sound like a strange story. Mwah, then it's like that.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
The order has been acknowledged. We expect to deliver the full order in 2 years, with the capacity to build 250 HBT's a year. As this is a order made in secrecy, we only have to send the order to the IVD Intelligence Service, which will store it in their secured database. Müller Panzerwerke will not store the order itself, to avoid security leaks. We have received the amount of Sixty Five Billion, zero cents (65,000,000,000) USD, and will start construction of these tanks immediately.
