Hull Width: 600m

Sublight Power: 32 Plasma Rockets

FTL Drive: Whormhole genarator, can take ship to 6 light years a minute. Along with emmense power from the d-sinks, the ship has a range of 30,000 light years.

Power Source: 60 nilling d-sinks with 14 back-up fusion genarators.

Armament: 40 40-terajoul particle lances, 40 55-terajoule ion cannos, and 40 point-deffence rail guns. All of the weapons are placed with 10 of each on each side of the hull, top, bottom, left, and right. Finaly four gimbled turrets with 28 510-megaton nukes in each launcher. All four launchers are placed on oppasite sides of hull in the middle. Also in 8 forward facing launch tubes are 2-gigaton nukes for massive ships or for ground based defences. One nuke in each tube. All nukes use a fusion warheads. (OCC: Thanks to CorpSac for the tips.)

Defensive Shields: The ship is protected by a 21-tier fusion high-energy shield system, also it has 14m thick titanium alloy armor around the ship.

Sensors: The ship has a sensors package along with hysradar that can scan and detect anything within 8,000 A.U.s.of the craft.

Control: A very advanced R.I. (Restricted Intelligence)system.

Shuttle Bays: 4 suttle bays hold 5 Pelican-Class shuttles in each bay.

Crew Compliment: The ship has a crew of 550, and can carry 1,350 Space Coprs Marrines.

Class: Pelican-Class Shuttle and Troop Transport

Background:

The Pelican Shuttle is the main troop transport of the Flightopia Space Corps Marines and the Army. It is commonly used to ferry troops to and from the combat zone. But it can be used as a Medevac, special operations transport, cargo transport and as a command ship. It is fully capable of VTOL flight with its swiveling lift jets. It can carry up to 20 soldiers into combat, or one or two Humvees, but usually and a crew of 2 plus 12 soldiers. It is also one of the few transports to mount weapons for defense as well as close air support.Hhowever additional roles can include medical evacuation, search and rescue, command and control, armed escort and executive transport. . Also, the Pelican can survive crashes extremely well, it is body is extremly strong and engines are almost unexplodable. Unlike other troop transports, the Pelican can be used in space and can survive a atmospheric entry The capability is especially useful for the space to ground assaults done by the Marines.

Speed:

Flying:
500 mph (804.6 kmph) maximum speed limit in an Earth-like atmosphere. Can also hover in place indefinitely.

Statistical Data:

Height: 32.1 ft (10m)
Width: 48.1 ft (15m)
Lenth: 70.6 ft (22m)
Weight: 18000 kg (19.8 tons)
Cargo:
Up to 10 soldiers can be carried or 5 tons or cargo within its cargo hold. It can carry up to 70 tons of cargo suspended underneath with hoist. VTOL speed is slowed by half by anything above 35 tons.
Power Plant:
2 Main thermonuclear engines plus 2 rear lift thermonuclear engines. Several vernier thrusters for additional mobility are mounted at key positions along the dropship's hull.

Weapon Systems:

30mm AUTO CANNON TURRET (2): Two tri-barreled 30mm Auto-Cannon Turrets are located under the nose.

ANVIL II ROCKET POD (2): The Pelican can carry two Rocket pods under its wings. 16 rockets per launcher; 32 rockets total.

AGM-65 MAVERICK CLUSTER (2): The Pelican can also carry two AGM-65 Maverick clusters on it's wings as well (Cluster is 3 misslies).

Standrard Equipment for the Pelican Shuttle:

Auto-Pilot The Pelican Dropship is equipped with a computerized auto-pilot, allowing the pilot to relax or even sleep during long voyages. The auto- pilot can be programmed with a single destination or a complex flight plan involving multiple speeds, directions, and destinations. The onboard computer will alert the pilot when the Pelican is near its destination, and can also be set to automatically signal when sensors detect objects near the it.

Escape Pod: The entire reinforced cockpit of the Pelican is a detachable escape pod that can be jettisoned when it is destroyed. The pod is NOT equipped with thrusters, but is equipped with a parachute to provide a soft landing in case of ejection in an atmosphere. The computer will automatically eject the cockpit when the main body hull intregraty reaches zero, though the pilot can override this if he is feeling suicidal for some reason.

Heat and Radiation Shields: Special shielding prevents the penetration of life threatening heat and radiation. A radiation detection and alarm system are linked with the shields and will sound an alarm if there is a rupture in the shields and what the levels of radiation are.

Homing Signal: The escape pod of the Pelican is equipped with a homing device that enables rescue teams to locate a disabled craft or ejected life pod. The range of the signal is 400 miles (640 km). Flightopian shuttles, aircraft, and helecopters can locate and track the signal generated by this beacon.

Optics - Infrared: Range: 2000 feet (610 m). This optical system projects a beam of infrared light that is invisible to the normal eye, but detectable by the mecha's sensors. The system allows the pilot to detect hidden/concealed objects by their IR reflectiveness. The beam will be visible to anyone with IR sensitive optics, however.

Hysradar: 200 mile (321 km) range.

Radio/Video Communication: Long range, directional communications system with satellite relay capabilities. Range: 600 miles (960 km) or can be boosted indefinitely via satellite relay.

Standard Survival Kit (4): All Flightopia shuttles come equipped with a portable survival kit. Inside the small reinforced box is a medium-sized flashlight, two hand flares, one rocket flare, a compass, infrared distancing binoculars, a small mirror, a pocket knife, dehydrated and concentrated food (can be stretched into a five day supply for one person) and basic first aid items (aspirin, bandages, disinfectants, etc.)

Tatical Life Support System: The Pelican's cockpit is pressurized, and also provides additional air feeds to the pilots' flight suits that provides them with pressurized breathing.
