Pantycellen a guide
Background
A series of tribes lived in the area that is now known as Pantycellen, in the great northern forest lived the Evanses, in the Mountains lived the Freeloves, in the marshes lived the Chudleys, while the plains were inhabited by the Swainseas. The Swainseas grew rich and powerful on the fertile plains eventually subjugating the other tribes. Great were the evils perpetrated by the Swainseas they cut down the forests and drained the fens. Eventually the Chudleys and Evanses joined the Freeloves in their mountain fortresses. The ragtag army of the united tribes raided the towns and cities of the Swainseas but were eventually cornered near the great mountain of Mt Piers as the armies lined up against each other the massive Swainsea horde on the slopes of the mountain the ground began to shake and smoke and great spray’s of molten rock fell burning the warriors of Swainsea to death. The few remaining Swainsea fled to the island off the coast naming it fallen hope. The united tribes then under the leadership of the Freelove tribe built the great city of Penbryn. From this day on peace came to Pantycellen but the tribes were ever vigilant.
Geography
The north of this island nation is covered with a massive forest called the great northern forest, to the west is a range of mountains called the daemon back mountains, then to the south is the fens of the fallen. To the north is the great glacier lake, surrounded by a range of mountains, near by there is the volcano of Mt Piers, to the east is the bay of Thonkin and the island of Fallen Hope, then to the west is the islands of Angharad’s belt and Duggan reef.
In the centre of the country stands the capital of Penbryn this city of libraries and museums basks in the sun of the plains and while capital in name only it still has a very important place in the people’s hearts. All the other cities are described as Kasr which indicates that they are fortified, these cities have a population of between 50,000 to 1,000,000 and are mainly subterranean.
