"...and yet Presodent Baccheus continues to claim to be virtous! Not only does he continue to support these... these sodomites in their bid to defame the fighting men and women of our nation but he call himself a good Catholic!

I ask you what Catholic would defy the official position of Rome?! A Blashemer and whore is who! The President cannot go unpunished and I for one will no longer stand by and allow the Armed Forces which I serve to be perveted..."

General Arthur McNeil raises his hands to mixed reception of cheers, awkward clapping and outright death threats aimed at the aging General.

The image though, is short lived as the television on which it is displaye dis flciked off.

Two mahoganey sliders close over it and the lights are raised. Revealing the Presidential Office.

A massive floor-to-roof window allows the sight of a perfecting kept peach garden.

The Office itself slopes up towards the massive and looming desk of the President, ensuring no man may enter with a risen head.

"...what is that man thinking?!" Bellow Vice President Aptiva

She is joined quickly by the Minister for Defence "He goes on to call me incompetant! I served five tours in Crete!"

"Mr President, we mustn't get ahead of ourselves" The voice of the Minister for Transport is lost as the more prominant Cabnet Members vie for the President's attention.

"Enough!" With one word the room falls silent "Sarah...?"

Dr Sarah Hours turns to the President "...yes...?"

"Inform the Press Corps, I have an announcement..."

-------------------

Inside the Presidenital Press Room the leading journalistsa of the world sit on consular lounges that made the thrones of old look cheap.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press... His Eminency, The President! LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC!!!"

"...thank you Dr Hours... You have all no doubt seen and heard the speech made by the Second General of the Army, made earlier today outsde this very building...

It is in response to this incident I now speak. I, and I alone am the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, I am the Commander-in-Cheif and I will not tolerate any more acts of insubordination.

I will have the apology of the General or I will have the resignation of the General! That is all!"

The Slovakastanian government would like to apologize for the bottle of champagne it dispatched to the General as a goodwill gift. We fear it may have been involved in his... curious... speech.

"...this President does not value the lives of our fighting men and women. Nor does he value the importance of a capable, able and willing Armed Forces.

He would sacrifice youre freedoms for the sake of buggary and continues to act without regard or respect for those that put their lives in harms way so that he can sleep safely at night!

The man must be stopped, I will not stand by and allow him to defame the great institution...."

The camera pans out to reveal around a hundred soldiers camped outside the Palace of Athens, traditional seat of the Republican government.

"...we will stay on tis lawn until the President reverses his stand unconditionally. I will no longer subject myself to this man's insolence!"

The General is cut off as the Presidential Motorcade mounts the curb. In true Rotovian style President Baccheus exits the second of three limosines under the gaurd of armed forces.

"General... get your God damned men off my lawn!"

The President does not wait for a reply before re-entering his vehicle, as press rapidly surround the vehicle hoping to catch the prize winning photo of the first President to challenge military authority in over a centuary.
