Imperial Armaments Company

Are you a young nation of just a few million, who's paranoid that the major world powers are just waiting for their turn to roll the tanks in, burn your towns, pillage your farms, and abuse your womenfolk? And the worst part is, you don't have enough money to build up an army of your own?

Or maybe you're a more powerful nation, looking for a cheaper way to enforce your will in those distant provinces that are always clamoring for revolution. Perhaps the market has been harsh to your country, and you need to cut back on some government programs, but don't want to be completely defenseless.

If only there was an economical alternative to those costly Main Battle Tanks everyone and their mother seems to be tossing around. If only there was a truly man-portable anti-tank rocket, or an assault rifle that can stand up to the harshest conditions. Alas...

Well, here at the Imperial Armament Company, we've got good news (and no, it's not about car insurance)!

Here at the IAC, we're all about helping you, the customer. Now, I know what you're thinking: "This company's only got four weapons for sale. They need more than that. What a bunch of idiots." And you'd be right. About the needing more part. You see, we could just sell a bunch of every-day weapons that any doofus with some money and a factory can make, and that certainly would make our inventory more impressive. However, that’s not our goal here. The IAC has an unwavering commitment to quality, and if that means spending extra time getting the gun or vehicle just right, at the expense of pages and pages of crap, then so be it.

And the best part is: we don’t require end-user certificates! That’s right! If you want to buy a bunch of guns, and then supply them to rebels in your neighboring country, go ahead. We don’t care.

OOC: The usual stuff about doing your own calculations applies. Also, any advice when it comes to pricing would be appreciated.

Small Arms

Length: 838mm
Weight: 2.659kg
Barrel: 318mm
Rifling: 6 grooves, rh

The X-19 is a durable and reliable assault rifle, built to withstand both harsh climates and physical abuse.

BR-7 (http://www.nlgaming.com/games/220/thumbs/battle_rifle_front.jpg)
Cartridge: 7.62 x 55

Dimensions:
Length: 1038mm
Weight: 6.857kg
Barrel: 518mm
Rifling: 6 grooves, rh
Magazine Capacity: 10 rounds
Rate of Fire: 300 rds/min

Price: 1700

The BR-7 has a noticeably slower rate of fire than the X-19, due to the slightly heavier round, and the fact that this weapon is designed to engage the enemy at ranges up to 800 meters, as opposed to the X-19's 500.

SR-5 (http://www.the-junkyard.net/images/weapons/halo2/w_sniper.jpg)

Cartridge: 7.62 x 55

Dimensions:
Caliber .338 Lapua (8.60x70mm)
.300 Win Mag
7mm Rem Mag
Operation Bolt Action
Length 50 inches
Weight 14.99 lbs (6.8kg) empty without telescope
Barrel 27" (.338 Lapua)
26" (.300 and 7mm)
Twist, Right Hand 1 turn in 8" (.338 Lapua)
1 turn in 10" (.300 and 7mm)
Magazine Capacity 5 round box magazine
Maximum Effective Range 1100+ meters

Price: 2100

The SR-5, is essentially BR-7 upgraded to accept the high power cartridges, especially the .338 Lapua. The barrel is slightly longer to take full potential of the .338, and the range is increased signifcantly. This rifle is approaching the range of the .50 cals, but yet its only slightly heavier then the standard 7.62mm version of the rifle.

The Hornet is designed to be a truly man-portable anti-tank rocket, rather than heavy monstrosities like the Javelin. The kit consists of a half-meter plastic tube, and three rockets. The entire kit weighs in at about 10 pounds. Obviously this is much too light to effectively destroy a tank, but the rocket is designed to disable tanks by destroying the treads, leaving a derelict vehicle that must be abandoned, or destroyed at leisure by your forces. Also, the rocket is useful against slow-moving aircraft, such as helicopters.

Price: 700/kit

Also, due to the greater speed, the Spartacus is able to dodge some unguided rockets that would destroy a smaller tank.

MLRS-2, "Mjolnir" (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/mlrs3-176.jpg)

Crew: 3 man
Cruise Range: 483 km
On Board Fire Control and Position Determining System

These targets often include enemy artillery, air defense systems, mechanized units, and personnel. MLRS units can use their system's "shoot and scoot" capability to survive while providing fire support for attacking manuever elements. MLRS is not intended to replace cannon artillery, but has been designed to complement it.

IR Chemical Shield

Not a weapon in the truest sense, this device is actually a special uniform, designed for use in cold climates, or by special forces in areas where infrared or thermal surveillance is an issue. The uniform is woven with special fibers that create a sustained chemical reaction when an electrical charge is sent through. This reaction lowers the temperature of the uniform, thereby disguising the wearer. This system is not perfect, however, as the batteries last for about forty minutes of continuous use, or close to three hours of sporadic use. Also, IR gear may still detect the wearer if it is close enough, or calibrated to account for the chemical shield.

Price: 3000/uniform

LOS Secure Communications Equipment

This equipment gear is completely secure, unlike radio. Using a laser beam to send an encrypted message over a direct line-of-sight, this allows for totally covert transfer of information. Because the message is an LOS signal, nothing can be intercepted, because nothing is broadcast. The only drawback to this system is that it is too bulky and cumbersome for a single soldier to use; rather, it is better used by groups of at least platoon strength.

Price: 2500/unit (includes transfer dish, reciever, headphones, and laser designator.
