Remius Crusader of the Eternals trained at the Eternal Monastery and armed with weapons and armor of Eternal strength leads an army of also trained at the Eternal Monastery armed with Eternal weapons and army are now assaulting the infidel planet of Vernixa and though there are only 3200 Soldiers and 1800 Soldiers the world will not be able to resist the armed might of the warriors of the Eternal faith.

OOC: Lots of "Eternal" there.

Remius sent out small scouting parties to find the hostile forces.

OOC: Nope, sorry about this not being made clear in my first post on this thread. These people are only mortals the Eternals are forbidden by the other Eternals from invading other races directly, but can endow great powers and powerful weapons and armor to those who represent them and the mortal warriors can fight for the Eternals.

10,000 locals armed only with primtive rifles marched to attack the alien invaders.

As he checked out the terrain, as well as the troop armerments a plan began to form.

ooc: Terrain looks like?

OOC: Terrain is grasslands and hills. Soldeirs are armed with 1903 Springfield Rifles like the ones in World War 1.

ooc: The Eternal's soldiers are armed with antique rifles?

OOC: Sorry, I should have been cleared the enemy soldiers are armed with those rifles and the Eternals' soldiers are armed with staff weapons the kind Remius has.

OOC: How exactly are these people considered infidel?

Remius directed the soldiers to take cover, and form a 120 degree arc for the hostiles to walk into the trap. As they(natives) reached a certain point he gave the order for the soldiers to open fire.

OOC: They refused to convert to the light of the Eternals.

The 10,000 native soldiers marched ditrectly at their foe and took a wedge formation and charged up the hill with some firing the rest jest using banyonets hoping to gore their enemies.

OOC: Which makes them better than the Dark Eternals how?

As the natives charged forward into the rain of fire, Remius gave the order for the soldiers to assume two ranks on either side of the natives and shred them in the cross fire.

OOC: Yes, this the child thread of a different. Also Theao that does sound good.

OOC: It's a continuation of a thread of his that introduces the religion of the Eternals(which I'm sure you noticed by the subtle "join us or die"). This is the first mission of Remius.

The natives were stunnded by their enemies weapons and began to retreat aftering losing 3,200 of their soldiers.

As the natives retreated, Remius gave the order to form ranks, which the soldiers did. They were in ranks of three deep, first rank on thier stomachs, second rank on thier knees(marriage proposal position), and the third were standing. With an order he had them open fire on the fleeing natives.

The barrga smashed the ranks of the retreating natives with them losing another 2.800 soldiers dwindling there forces down to only 4,000 of the orginal 10,000 soldiers. The natives continued to retreat after this until they were out of their enmies range.

Remius gave the order to get up, and having divided the soldiers into 1000 person blocks, had them move out, in staggered ranks to find the native force.

The native rallied at a stone hill castle 120 miles away from the battle and from there they sent messengers out gathering only 2,400 more soldiers from the surronding lands to the defense of the castle.

Remius tasked a 'legion'(1k soldiers) to set to work constructing seige engines, while the other 4 legions were given blockade duty on the castle.

The native soldiers brought in all the local peoples and from them they mustered another 600 soldiers even though they knew that there was no of holding off the alien invaders.

As the engines were being built, Remius sent a messanger to the natives.

"You can choose to surrender and be spared, or if you choose to resist, you shall be ground under. You have one hour to reply."

A message was sent in response:
"We do not fear death, but will you at least let us to release the children, women, and old out of the castle so that they may live, yet our people will never submit to foreign rule."

The replied message was:
Of course you can it's pointless to kill non-combatants, thought it's equally pointless to resist.

The natives responded:
"We have seen your might and know we cannot resist and therefore we surrender."

Then please exit your castle, unarmed.
Was Remius's returned message.

He also sent a message to the Eternal liason/rep/whatever.
Have gotten the natives to surrender.

The natives went out off the castle pilled up there weapons and then went forward to surrender.

The Eternal Council reply message:
"Good work Remius you have proven yiur self today again and when you get back you will be promported to Knight of Eternal Justice."

Remius accepted the surrender and informed the Eternal rep/liason/whatever that it was complete.

The Eternal Council answered:
"Your work on the planet is done leave the army there to act as an garrision and also we would like to congurlate you again on a job well done."

Remius saluted both the Eternal forces and native forces, caught the transport beam and headed back.

The beam this time carried him directly into the Eternal Council Chamber and then the Eternals said," You have done a great job in the 'conversion of Vernixa. For this you are now premoted to the rank of Knight of Eternal Justice."

Remius inclined his head. "What task do I now?"

The Eternals answered," You are to go back to the planet and govern it for a period of time in order for us to determine you adminstartive abilities as well as your politcal resourcfulness."

"What do you wish of the world?" Remius asked

The Eternal Council replied,' We wish that it be made clear of all forms of heresy and also for that mighty and great temples to the true faith be built there."

"So build temples, and prevent heresy?" Remius asked

The Eternals answered," Yes, and also build great advanced cities for them that are two thousand years ahead of them and also you are allowed to use Eternal technology to build them."

"So modernize and missionarize them?" Remius asked

"Correct, now go forth and fufill the will of the Eternals," the Eternal Counci responded.

OOC: Now Remius also has free access to the Eternal transportation beam syestem.

Remius used the TP system to return to Vernixa. Once there he had the forces(E) build five bases scattered around. He then sent reps to see about getting the heads of the villiages/towns/cities of the regions all at the primary base.

The representataives of all the peoples of the planet came in answer and they were afraid as the mught of the soldiers of the Eternals had been heard all around the planet by then.

He had each set of sub-regions choose a speaker, as well as a regional speaker for each of the regions that the planet had been divided into. There would be eight regional speakers and thirty-two sub-regional speakers.

One of the speaker asked," What do the warrirors of the gods desire from us of Vernixa?"

"I have been tasked you to bring you closer to the gods, in power, knowladge, and faith." Remius said to the assembled delegates.

All of the delagates bowed and cuffed their hands and sai," Hallowed are the Eternals."

"Alright." Remius replied, "Each of you were chosen and are either a regional or sub-regional speaker. "I am now making that a permanent posting. Those who are the sub-regional speakers are tasked with handling problems in your sub-region. Each of the four sub-regional speakers shall report to the regional speaker, who shall oversee the region. Each of the eight regional speakers shall report to me, or my successor. Do you all understand, feel free to ask any questions."

The delgates responded," It is alright and also are we required to build temples to the Eternals."

"Yes you are, as well as bringing up your tech base to a higher level. To aid in the technological improvements, should you need it, you will have the ability to ask the Eternal forces, or in dire questions, myself or my successor." Remius replied

The delgates said in response," Praise be the Eternals and those wo represent them."

"If you have no other questions, you can consider this meeting to be at an end." Remius replied

The delgates said," We have no morw questions and we shall now leave."

After saying this they left.

Remius decided to practice while he waited to see how things developed.

The natives began to gather and build great temples of the Eternals and went to those temples and prayed and held reglious services there, but in a few of their hearts dreams of freedom from the Eternals began to grow yet they opnely they could defeat the Eternals soldiers.

Remius would occasionally tour the planet, visiting the smaller towns and larger cities in equal measure. He would take to any who asked, as well as aid in solving problems and pitching in where needed.
During a flood, he and a a force from the closest base were sandbagging with the locals. As he saw a child go sweeping by caught in the river's furious rush, he dove in and managed to rescue the little girl.
He made sure to that the Eternal forces wouldn't brag about it, he let the native media and gossip chain to do the publicity work in a manner not even the wisest or most skillful EFer could do.

The natives were grateful for all the help given to them by the Eternals' garrisions on the planet, but yet they began to doubt that truth that the Eternals even acutally existed.

As they'd been on planet for almost half a local year, Remius decided to see if he could pull a special 'treat'. With a quick jaunt back to the Eternal Monestary, he entered the Eternal area.

The Eternals asked," Do you wish for us to appear upon the planet directly?"

"If possible, yes. It would both help cement loyalty, as well as providing a moral boost to both the garrison forces and natives." Remius replied

The Eternals answered,' We shall send one for only two hours upon the world it that apporitae with you?"

"That would be good." Remius said, he returned to the planet and schedualed a very well broadcast religious rite with the Eternal as the center piece of the ceremony.

The Eternal apperaed at the seen as soon as everything was ready with twelve Elite Guards surronding him and then said to Remius," Is everthing ready?"

"Yes it is." Remius said as he had the ceramony commence and run throught.

The Eternal and his guard went into postion adn followed the ceremony flawlessly.

Remius let the priests do thier stuff, making sure that the broadcasts were going out properly.

The Eternal, the Priests, and the Elite Guards finished the cermony after two hours and then the Eternal asked Remius," How did it go out?"

"It seemed good, thought will have to wait and see how the public reacts." Remius replied

The Eternal replied," Alright, but now I must return to the Council though fill us in on the results of the ceremony and for the peoples' sake it is good."

"Alright." Remius replied

The Eternal departed the planet with the Elite Guards back to the Eternal Monastery. The natives were amazed by the meer sight of the Eternal and their moral and faith skyrocketed."

Remius informed the Eternals that everything was going well, moral and faith in abundent amounts.

The Eternals were happy with the results and sent this message to him:
"You are to return to the monastery for we have another important task for you and also you are to appoint a new leader for the world."

Remius evaluated the Eternal soldiers, and appointed one as the military commander, while choosing the most appropriate of the regional speakers as the civil leader, while the high priest was placed in charge of the church.

He then returned to the Monastery.

The Eternals summoned Remius to the Council Chambers as they had new task for him.

Remius entered the Eternal Council Room.

"Sir Remius you have proven yourself worthy of the title Herald of the Eternas. Also we have another task that needs you," the Eternal Council said.

"I shall do my best to meet and overcome the challenge." Remius said as he awaited the new task.

"You are to muster new worthy candidates to join the Warrior Order of the Eternal Relgion," one of the Eternals said.

"I am to find new recruits for the militant order, correct?" Remius confirmed

ooc: How would I go about doing this one?

OOC: That you should be inventive on as you are allowed to travel to Eternal world or your worlds using the transport syestem.

Thw Council responded," Yes, that is your task."

"Alright, by your leave." Remius said as he headed outward.

ooc: Wouldn't be from my nation, as missionarying is highly regulated, also the TP system most likely wouldn't be able to access it.

OOC: Okay target Eternal world if you wantI will or you could make a new thread about Remius preaching the word of the Eternals.

"Fear no darkness of pain for the Eternals are with you."

Remius pulled up a starchart and began making a quick mental plan. He settled on a planet, and using the teleportation grid sent himself there.

Myriclav appeared on the surface of the planet Vernixa. Shortly after 4 Priests and 12 Acolytes of the Eternal religion appeared behind him. He and the Priests and the Acolytes walked up to the main city. "We are helpers of the Eternals. We have come to help you build a High Temple."

The local garrision leader said,' We have already laid the foundation and await further command from you to continue construction on the temple."

OOC: Goodnight last post for me tonight.

OOC: Good night.

IC: "I already have the plans laid out." A scroll appeared in midair and Myriclav handed it to the garrison leader. "Read that and then we can start making some bricks to build the temple with." The end result would be a temple that looks something like a cross between a castle and a cathedral. There would be three parts, a main part for prayers and daily meals, and two wings for classes and practice and such. There would be four towers in the four corners of the main section. The inside would have arches and columns and stained glass.

OOC: See traits of different religions' architecture.

The garrison leader said," Alright then I shall instruct the laborers to begin construction based on your designs for the High Temple."

With his signal thousands of laborers began to gather the necessary materials for the High Temple of the Eternals.

Myriclav oversaw the construction and kept them going nonstop. After all the materials had been gathered, he set up three groups. One group rested, one group constructed walls and supports, and the third made the designs on the glass and the columns and also got furniture and paintings. Myriclav switched these three groups once every 5 hours.

The groups worked with all of their abilities during the construction. They used all available time and materials they could find to build the High Temple.

They finally finished the work on the main section. Then Myriclav split the construction group into two. One of them started working on the towers while the others began construction on one of the other sections. The decorating group was also split in two. One group put the finishing touches on the main section and decorated the towers while the other started on the sections.

The groups of laborers, craftsmen, and artisans worked unceasingly to construct and complete finish the High Temple of the Eternals. On the construction site the workers worked with great skill and vigor to make the temple worthy of the Eternals.

Finally after many days of hard work, the High Temple was finished. The Priests and Acolytes immediately began work on converting the local population into the religion of the Eternals.

Meanwhile Myriclav called up the Eternals. "The High Temple is complete."

The Eternals responde," Good work, you may remain upon Vernixa and become it's governor for a period of time or return to the monastery."

Myriclav thought about it. "I choose to return to the monastery." He responded.

A beam of light carried him back to the monastery.

Myriclav eats a snack while waiting for the Eternals' next assignment.
