The Zelda thread will take place when Link has returned from his travels (After Ocarina of time and Majora's mask. He's a adult now, so he's returning home, to find Gannon is trying to capture Hyrule and used it for his evil means.


Here are the possible roles:

Link
I of course will be Rping Link. My aim will be to bind Gannon away from the land of Hyrule, by obtaining the Master sword and obtaining all the weapons of the sages, that have been sealed in various temples.

Gannon
Someone can be Gannon. Your aim is to obtain all the pieces of the triforce, kill Link, Capture Hyrule and ultimately the world. Hopefully this will climax in a 3 way battle of Link + Zelda V Gannon, which will involve link using all the weapons of the sages and finally the Master sword to kill Gannon (unless he fails, which is possible).

Zelda
Someone can be Zelda. You will probaly be captured by Gannon at one stage or go into hiding. You will take part in the last battle (Hopefully) and using magic destroy Gannon. Or you can assist Link throughout his quest.

Bosses
This is when things get interesting. You can create your boss, your sage weapon and a simple temple (otherwise this will take forever). Your sage weapon must be able to destroy your boss, of course. Your temple should only involve slight RP input by you (except creation obviously), so that I can finish it quickly. This I think will be fun. I reckon a maximum of 8 temples, of anything you want (e.g. Fire, Psychic powers blah blah blah).

Hyrule King
This is new: Some one can Rp the Hyrule king and his soldiers (this can be assisted by others) in their battle against the invading forces of Gannon. You could be ultamately victorious, leaving Link to deliver the finishing battle against Gannon, or lose terribly. Your troops are humans, you will be fighting Gannon's minions.

Others
There can be Goron's, the Zora, whoever. You can assist Link in his quest or the Hyrule King in his battle against Gannon.


So Im looking for interests and ideas, and I will start the RP outside of this thread. Show some interest people, have some RP skills (Not necessarily Zelda knowledge). Keep All OOC: comments here. This could be a very good thread people, I want some feedback!

Yep. You will get to do loads, and probaly get the best role.

Why do only you get to RP a main guy and we have to either be people who hide, help or lose to you?

well there are limited characters, if you can think of other tell me. Also Im willling to let Link die at one stage (Because, If you know Zelda then you know that some how he failed/did not appear because the gods flooded the land)

Who remembers the name of the Very First boss EVER? I'm talking about the Old school original Zelda. I'll RP as him, in The first Temple. The Weapon of corse, will be The Boomerang. The temple will look EXACTLY the same as the very first Temple, and it'll be inside The Great Deku Tree. You'll have to use The Boomerang to hit the Horn atop My head to Stun me, then Slash My now vulnerable head with your sword. 7 hits will take me down, and I'll be even more history than when you first entered my Lair. My sole attack will be Fireballs I can aim at you.

I remember playing Zelda when I was a kid. Original-school Zelda 1 and 2 on the classic Nintendo, then Zelda 3 on the Super Nintendo. After that, I played Zelda 64 with kid / adult Link. Thats pretty much all my "Zelda'ing" experience.

Could someone give me a background summary of what has happened or is happening in the Zelda World?

All I know (backstory-wise) is the following....

1. Link is introduced in Zelda 1. He quests to save Hyrule, finds 8 pieces of the triforce, and discovers many treasures. He finally reaches Death Mountain and slays Ganon and frees Princess Zelda in the back room.

2. Zelda 2 takes place after Zelda 1. Link is somewhat older, and Hyrule has expanded into two continents, East and West. 6 Palaces have been built with guardians and crystal statues in them. Ganon is sealed away, and could be resurrected by Link's death. Princess Zelda is put under a spell, and Link quests to find a cure to Zelda's sleep spell. His quests lead him through the 6 palaces, then the Grand Palace where he fights a mirror image of himself. He discovers the Triforce of Courage, and uses it to revive Zelda.

3. I am not sure when Zelda 3 happens, is it after Zelda 2, or did it happen before Zelda 1 (doubtful though, as there are no "Hyrule Palace" in Zelda 1). Link quests to find the 3 pendants and avenge his slain uncle by defeating Agahnmim. After Agahnmim dies, he casts Link into the Dark World, where he finds 7 crystals with maidens inside them (including Zelda). The crystal maidens help Link break the seal on Ganon's tower, and then Link fights Agahnmim once again. He chases Ganon to the Pyramid, and fights him to the death. After victory, Link finds the Triforce (all 3 parts of it) in the back room, and restores peace to Hyrule.

4. Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Again, like with Zelda 3, I am not sure when this Zelda takes place in relation to the others. The plot is kind of complicated, with Link going back and forth in time to rescue people, get sage medallions, use the Master Sword, and a show-down with Gandorf, which was the original form / person of Ganon (before Ganon became the "monster Ganon" of Zelda 1, 2, and 3). At the end, Gandorf transformed into Ganon for the final battle in the game, which leads me to believe that this game takes place before Zelda 1, 2, and 3 (as evidenced by Ganon's transformation into the monster "pig creature" we all know and love).


Thus, my knowledge of Zelda story and such comes to an end here. I have no idea or knowledge of any further Zelda stories of any other Zelda games, so someone will have to fill me in.
