Social Reformists protest in the Imperium of Serapindal's Discerpian Square.

Dear Diary,

Day One of the Protests.

Today, nearly 125,000 Social Reformists gathered in Discerpian Square, from all across the country. I watched outside my bedroom window I think our apartment is on the 12th floor or so, so we were some of the people who could see it, there was nothing better to do. They were shouting and complaing about how the IOS's Universities, only accept based on Academic Merit. Some were suggesting that their Athletic Merit should count, as well as their race, as many also wanted to integrate Affirmitive Action. Others were complaining about how the IOS does not have a Zero Tolerence Policy in it's school. This was a very diverse group, with people as young as 11, and people as old at 50 something. The police were having a tough time calming them down. Meanwhile, something was brewing...

Dear Diary,

Day Two of the Protests.

Today, the Police ordered everyone to disperse, and not cause any trouble. They have been failing to get the crowd to disperse, but all and all, nothing happened today.

Dear Diary,

Day Three of the Protests:

The numbers have swelled to 150,000. It looks like things are getting rowdy. Lots of times, they stopped traffic completely, while harrasing passing-by pedristians. Still, the police issue them a stern warning, but nothing happens. Some of them, threateningly carry guns. Mom and Dad said they're arguing in the Political Bureau whether to have all guns registered. Things seem so quiet now...

Sincereley,

Hanna Marsielles.

Dear Diary,

Day Four of the Protests.

Some policemen showed up, with tanks, and with poorly concealed Special Ops. I think tension is building up. I'm afraid what's going to happen. Whoops, I have to go to School now. Back in Ten Hours.

WHat do you want? I think this is well thought out and well written but you don't make it clear what the international scene is like, how quiet is your government keeping these riots for example. I would be glad to participate but you haven't made it clear what your looking for.

I will send some special forces in to help "calm them down" if you know what I mean. If I have your approval.

Although "calming" them down may be the simplist way, may i recommend mediation from an outside party. If both groups agree I would gladly preside over the meeting between national leaders and some of the protestors. This is a peaceful solution, and I can provide a spiritual and moralistic view of things. i will await your response. May the earth-mother's blessing never run out so long as you live.

Dear Diary,

Day Five of the Protests.

It seems that things are getting worse. Both sides refuse to change their positions, because you know, Academic Merit is extremeley important in the Imperium, and also, the government institutes "colorblind" policies. They're both refusing to negotiate at all, with nothing going on. Bah, what a waste of time.

Dear Diary,

Day Six of the Protests

Bah. Things are getting worse. Lots of the protestors are flinging insults at the police, and they aren't liking it. I know some of the protestors from school. There's Jim, I think he's in 7th grade, and his little brother Bob, who's in 6th, and some kid, but I didn't like them too much. They keep teasing everyone. Bah. Anyways, some more tension is building up. It remind me of what my teacher said in our Science Class. I think the longer an earthquake builds up, the more damage it will do, so lots of small harmless earthquakes are good, instead of one really big one. Bah, I actually got an A on that test. Things seem to be tottering...

With Serapindal's permission, Mondoth would like to dispatch several of our riot control teams to observe the Serapindal methods, and to offer help of their own, with any luck both sides can benefit from this joint operation. as a sign of god faith we will also send a number of 'less lethal' crowd control weapons including sonic area denial and microwave crowd dispersion systems designed to nonlethally disperse even the most violent crowds in a short perios of time.

I am disturbed to hear about the civil disobedience in your nation. You seem to underestimate the severity of your condition. A brutal mob of 150,000 protestors is a threat to national security! It must be broken up at once.

Do not misinterpret this. If it was not for citizens to remind a government of problems, then the problems may go unnoticed in the vast array of issues that pop up daily. Massive demonstrations like these are just silly, however. All they do is complain about matters which they do not understand. They need to be working, not waving cheap signs around at anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in the path of their swarm.

I would suggest that you find a reason to break up the throng that the public will accept. Use deception if necessary. Yes, lying would not be preferable, but considering the consequences it is occasionally justified. This way, you can disband the protestors without having another protest pop up in its place.

I wish you the best of luck in handling these protestors. If your first attempts to deal with the problem fail, do not be ashamed of resorting to more displeasing means. Remember, a violent protestor is a terrorist.

The High Office: Ceulla:, 1200 hours.

Minister: Social Reformists are protesting in the square.

Premier: Oh? They are? Hmm. What do they want?

Minister: They want AA, and Athletic-Based Admission into college, as well as a Zero Tolerence policy in school, Premier Axrath.

Premier: WHAT!?

The normally calm premier's face was contorted with anger, and he smashed his hand onto his desk. He took a deep breath, and said,

"Get rid of them."

Minister: Wha-

"RID. OF. THEM."

Minister:......ok.

He seemd to have calmed down. Hmm. It seemed this struck a chord with him. He seemd unsually bothered...

"Good."

Somewhere along the line, the intent of them message was up. While going down, to the puzzlement of many policemen, the message warped from "Could you please escort these people out of the square?"

To...

"LETS KILL THOSE ****ing SONS OF *****es!"

So uh...in short, the Policemen were very confused.

The numbers swelled to 175,000, and things started getting violent. Protestors threw rocks, molotov cocktails, even fire a few shots into the air, and chaos erupted soon. In crowd, about 90,000 were there for Zero Tolerence Policy in School, 55,000 for Athletic-Based College Admission, and 30,000 for Extreme AA. Of course, this comprised of the majority of people who supported this in the nation....

Two officers stood next to each other. One Officer, named Franz, was wearing a Mask with his helmet, and Ivan wasn't.

Franz: Hey Ivan, how's the weather today.

Ivan: It's pretty cool. Literally. Man, this armor is useful. And it looks awesome.

A bottle hit against the head of Franz's helmet, and bounced off, and shattered on the ground. They didn't notice.

Franz: Did you hear anything?

Ivan: No.

Franz: Meh. Me, I'm getting itchy in this suit. I mean, I've got this terrible... never mind.

Ivan: Yeah. Might want to stop there. Anyways, they've got all this weaponry stationed here in case it goes rotten.

Franz: Yeah, but I'm pretty sure the Heavy Attack Helicopters are a little excessive.

Ivan: Meh. But it looks cool.

Franz: Man, looking cool was the reason I signed up. Hell, look at this awesome armor.

Ivan: Yeah.

Franz: I don't even want to know why they have those three machine gun nests set up there. And don't even ask about the Liquid Nitrogen.

Ivan: Meh. What I'm asking is what the the hell are they doing with a combine harvester!?! Hell, it looks like the one my parents have up north a lil bit.

Franz: Oh? Where you from?

Ivan: North a lil' bit. In that nice Rural Area.

Franz: Yeah. Nice place. We don't have that much Rural Area anymore these days. But we still have a good amount.

Ivan: And I think the national convention of Lumberjacks have been delayed for what? Six days?

He pointed over to a group of frowning lumberjacks, who were mostly extremeley bored, as they were stuck in their cars for six days because of the protest.

Franz: Man, I heard some of them lumberjacks were former soldiers.

Ivan: Yeah. A few of them.

Franz: Man, I need a flannel shirt.

Ivan: You've got your armor.

Franz: You have a point.

Ivan: I like Cheese.

Franz: Man, I remember today, that the Premier got pelted by Cheese by a couple of his ministers in a joke.

Ivan: Really?

The two starting chuckling...

Suddenly, a shot rang out. Then another. Then another. Ivan fell to the floor, dead, from three high calibar shots, fired from a Model 500 Revolver. They manage to hit his helmet three times with that, and he fell dead. A couple of more shots peppered a car with two lumberjacks in it, and it exploded. Reflexively, the police took action.

They sent a Combine Harvester going through the protest, doing to people, what a combine harvester does to plants. Basically making them into bloody mincemeat. They were shocked as well.

An helicopter swooped nearby, and dropped liquid nitrogen all over the protestors, as well as gasoline, and finally followed by an incendiary bomb. They were frozen, then burned to death. That took out a good portion, because most of these people were crowded shoulder to shoulder.

Several soldiers have flamethrowers, which they set on the crowd. Some even jumped into the fray with a bayonet. Machine Gun nests opened fire. The Helicopter spewed gasoline, incendiary bombs, and liquid nitrogen.

The helicopter dipped low, and annihilated many protestors with it's rotors. Even for fun, they thew javelins at them

After a bloody massacre, the entire square was piled with bodies. Blood ran like rivers, above your ankles. For some, this was a harrowing sight. Thus was the tumoltous years.

150,867 Protestors Killled

24,213 Protestors Wounded.

A huge crowd showed up on the Capitol Building.

Crowd: WHAT! WHy'd you that? Why the hell!

A loudspeaker came on.

"It was a protest gone wrong. It was a total accident, and the Imperium is sorry for that, but the protest did turn violent. We are already preparing to send compensation to the victims."

There weren't too many people in the crowd. A lot, but most people in the Imperium were rather sick of those people. The crowd grumpily dispersed, most of them not satisfied.

Please, for the earth-mother's sake, do not deal with protestors like that. If they are protesting there must be a problem they are attempting to fix, listen to their demands, make minor changes in the name of progress and they will disperse themselves. Its like an oil fire, eventually it will run out of fuel and burn itself out. Next time i will gladly preside over a meeting of both sides, or supply tear gas, or send in priests and shaman to calm them, just please do not massacre them. Earth-Mother Bless.

Completely free of Charge We have sent ten sonic crowd dispersion systems to Serenpidal to discourage the further use of... expedient measures in dealing with protestors, the system uses a coination of high and low frquency tones to get a variety of painful and discomferting but non lethal reactions form the piercing headache from extreme high frequencies to the rumbling naseua and disoientation from extreme low frequencies, with proper training (provided by the manual and training CD included ith each of the systems) the intensity and mix of frequencies can easily be matched to the crowd virtually forcing even the most hardened protester to leave the area. (tested on normal, healthy indiviuals promised the equivalent of 1 million USD if they could stand in the affected area foran hour, that million bucks is still unclaime)

The Glorious Republic of Leafanistan, an ally of the Imperium supports its actions, as these protesters were nothing but a wolf in sheep's clothing. An illegal army tried to trick the Imperium's police forces into clustering in an attempt to slaughter them. Luckily, the Imperium was prepared. And next on LN News Network, kittens like my cat "Ginger Snaps" are adorable, but can they kill?!
