OOC: Had this idea sitting in the back of my head, and I would like to here what everyone thinks of it. Also, any advice on prices is greatly appreciated.

Old highways falling apart? Lights flickering every time someone plugs in a waffle iron? Recovering from massive devastation due to natural or human (Or even non-human) instigated disasters? Well, look no further! The Public Works Corporation of Greater Siap wishes to Present...

The Great Infrastructure Storefront

We are a non-profit corporation whose sole reason for having been established is to aid in the construction (or reconstruction) of basic infrastructure. Price of materials are included in the costs. We can use local labor, if requested (Note: If local minimum wages are greater than Siap's ($7.71 per hour) additional charges will apply) Here is what we have to offer:

Transportation
*Prices vary due to environmental factories

Roads - $50,000 per mile
Simple asphalt roads. Recommended to be used for car/people/mule drawn carts. Not meant for human consumption.

Highway - $150,000 per mile
Four lanes of paved paradise. Who wouldn't want it?

Railroad tracks - $75,000
Rail is great for people and freight. Hey, that rhymes! I rock!

Monorail - $95,000
An awesome elevated train that looks cool, goes fast and helps people get around. Your people's productivity will actually increase because they'll feel so cool taking the monorail.
(for an additional $40,000 we can put it underground)

*If money is an issue, the PWCGS can operate these privately and collect money (e.g. tolls on a road/highway) until necessary funds are accumulated

Power

Coal Power plant- $600,000
30 year service life. Lifetime Average output: 375 MW. Approxamitely $25 per kW per year for non-fuel costs. Pollutes. A lot.
*Can be modified into a rubbish burner for an additional $20,000 if coal availability is a problem (You have to deal with a lot of pollution, though)

Natural Gas Power Plant - $2.8 million
30 year service life. Lifetime average output: 46.6 MW. Approx. $13 per year in non-fuel costs.

More to come....
