Prime Minister Fruin Utui'ini today announced the withdrawal of Aysheaia from the United Nations. Speaking to a crowd of supporters, he justified the withdrawal as essential for our continued economic development.
"That august body is devoted only to maintaining the economic success of their already wealthy members, while developing nations are bogged down in regulations designed only to maintain the status quo! You can't stop the future, and our future is progress!"
In unrelated news, the Aysheaian Department of Defense announced that it has successfully exploded a nuclear device. It has been widely suspected that the military had plans for nuclear weapons, but this was the first indication of their existence. The 18 megaton hydrogen bomb was detonated near A’ati atoll, about 800 kilometers to the south of Wapt.
