Star Wars: The Hyperspace War

It is a dangerous time for the galaxy. War to the Republic has spread. Thousands of Sith forces, seemingly out of nowhere, have emerged from Hyperspace and began to invade Republic Worlds, crushing all resistance immediately.

In response, the Republic, petitioning for the aid of the Jedi Council, have now urged the rest of the galaxy against the Sith Menace. However, as it seems, there is confusion on who to join. The Valiant Republic? Or the ruthless Sith?

It is a time of question, as many Jedi knights fall against the Sith threats, and many more are lured to the Dark Side. The Fate of the Galaxy, is in the hands of the victor of this war.

Aboard the Sith Flagship Nemonam...

A long red lightsaber slashed across the walls, as a green one exuted in return. The figure leapt up in grace, and bounced off the walls, flying towards the ground with a quick notion. Another graceful slide, and then a downwards slash finalized the movement, green light dancing beautifully off the eerie walls. The other figure sped forwards in response. A vicious cry of war, and then in an instant, the figure spun around against the green lightsabered foe, where he finally locked sabers.

"Die, Jedi scum!" The Dark Jedi yelled loudly, kicking the Jedi Master off his heels. Master Ba'as Ba'as was a recognized member of the Jedi Order, though he was indeed capable of constructing many lightsabers in only a few weeks, he did not earn himself a reputable condition on the Jedi Council; he did do enough help to his precious galaxy. But now, he felt it was time that he helped the galaxy, not for the position of a Master on the Council, but to stop the Sith. Yet these followers of the Dark Side were more difficult to cope against than they previously thought.

"Fall, Sith." He spoke to his foe, getting up and waving his hand, as a piece of metal forced it's way between them. He turned around and headed towards the escape pods, but the red saber protruded from the metal, and a round cylindrical piece of steel flew past Ba'as, who was able to duck at the perfect time. Ba'as took up his green lightsaber, and twirled around the Sith foe in a flurry, hacking his his saber, but his enemy twisted his wrist and swung upwards, knocking the Jedi down onto the ground once more.

At that moment, doors opened, and battallions of Sith troopers and Dark Jedi began to flood the room, and Ba'as was running out of options. He had to move, getting up and pushing the enemy out of the way with the Force, the sith troopers smashing into the electrical fencings. Electricity flung about everywhere, as one caught a brace on fire, and the water sprayed forwards down into the combatants. Three Dark Jedis, pale and ill thought, against a tortured and weakening Jedi Master.

The sabers flashed in a second flurries, before Ba'as spun his saber up and plunged it down, cutting the first Dark Jedi in half, a painful groan vibrating through his body as he died.

The other two Dark Jedi advanced simultaneously, the one on the left slashed to the side, as the other swung their stroke down. Ba'as placed his sabe diagonally, blocking both in a single move, and then ran back as he pulled up another quick block.

The Dark Jedi leapt at him, and bounced off his lightsaber, turning around and twisting their stabs, hitting Ba'as in the foot, his groan in pain. "Die!" They yelled, but at that moment Ba'as lifted his hand, and dragged the red lightsaber to his left hand, fighting both Jedi, while his foot healed. They were battling across the filthy starboard ramp, until they reached the escape pod, and Ba'as used the Force to push both Dark Jedi out of the room.

Closing the door immediately, he quickly jumped into the pod, closed it, and jettisoned out of the Sith Flagship before it blew upto a thousand fragments.

Jedi Master Locke Corsair sat levitating above a small cushion chair inside a small shuttle craft. Its grey outer shell glinting in the soft light from the nearest star, its black viewport opaque and showing not the Jedi Master who floated within.

He sensed something...more Jedi in trouble, he thought. This had been such a reaccuring feeling lately he had learned to immediately exsponge it from his mind before it caused him anguish, it was no different this time.

He was used to being the wild and reckless Jedi, the one who always went up to the face of danger and stared it down, but this...the sudden wave of sith warriors moving through the galaxy like some plague. Even his light sense of humor had taken a beating, as nothing really seemed funny anymore. His former apprentice, Chit Kamaan, was off helping to defend his people. His friend, Jedi Master Andre Huron, was off on another adventure on his own. Their days as wandering adventurers and friends seemed to have come to a close.

He sighed, and fell onto the cushioned seat, he knew he musn't think so negatively about the situation. The Jedi had always defeated the Sith, eventually, anyway. The power of light over dark, the Jedi in this galaxy had preached, but Locke had known better. Where they had been, even before the Phantom war, their Jedi Council had known that it was the unifying force that kept everything together, therefore, there was no definite "dark" or "light" side. Just the force, as one. He breathed inwardly, and then outwardly, continueing his trance even without levitating.

For hours, it seemed, he sat there in thought, until the computer bleeped a warning. He sat up immediately and looked at the screen, apparently, two Sith warrior fighters were cruising towards him to investigate. He sighed at having stolen this shuttle, it had no weapons. Though to his credit he had been being chased by several Dark Jedi at the time, he couldn't have been exactly choosy.

Reaching out through the force, he could already tell that these pilots were no Sith warriors, they were probably just mercenaries hired by a Sith Lord to do their bidding, he stared out through his viewport as they fired warning shots across his bow, then they tried to hail him.

Ignoring the call, he felt through the force the engine coils moving their fighters along their path, he felt these coils, and he snapped them. The hail suddenly turned to a mix of cursing as the two fighters plummted towards the nearby planet's gravity well.

Locke had surprised himself, usually he was not so merciful, but his trance had put him in a calm mood. He looked for a new hyperspace route, they would have reported his position. He scowled, realizing he'd need to take out the radio next time that happened, but then realized there wouldn't be a next time he'd be dealing with inexperienced mercenaries. Next time, they would sent Sith warriors or Dark Jedi, a lot harder to trick. His ships spiraled through the nothingness of hyperspace, stars turning to tendrils of white, he focused back into his trance, and continued to meditate, ignoring the screams of the dying by the Sith hands.

On a lush planet, a bounty of trees waved softly in the deft wind, as Ba'as looked around in wonder at the awesome sight. Dantooine, in it's glimpsing imagery, and it's balloon like lying animals, driifting gazily across the bright sky. Shining brightly, the sun beaten down upon his cross back, and his escape pod in tattered ruins. Ba'as Ba'as was trying his best, to fight the enemy, but couldn't do anything as of now.

Aboard the Sith Flagship Necromanna

The Necromanna floated carefully in space, above the windy world of Korriban, the Sith fighters flying carefully around the edge of the Necromanna's limp and smooth body, the hangar cavernous and enormous, teethlike lasers lined along the edge of the ship's fortress like hold.

On it's bridge, the pale, cracked face of Sion, gaze unwittled, he turned around on the bridge, the giant catwalk clinging with the hard sound of metal. "Where is the Jedi?" Sion asked angrily, his commanders afraid.

"Sir, you must understand, we were ill equipped..." The commanders began.

"Where, is the Jedi?" Sion asked again, more destrutively angry this time.

"We were defeated, and the Jedi Master escaped. We - " But at that moment, a flashing red saber sliced off the head, and it retreated quickly back into Sion's belt.

"Find the Jedi. Tell me when you have him. Do not do anything else or stop until you have him. Do not report back until you have him." He commanded, turning around once more.

"Yes, Lord." The commanders urged.

Nerevar had been out for a walk as usual. He loved the planet Dantooine, so peacefull and full of life. His long hair blowed in the slight breeze as he mad his way towards an unexpected surprise. A meteor, or something else, lad just crashed on the planet, not too far away from Nerevar's temple.

Arriving at the site of the crash, Nerevar took note of the smouldering pod on the ground, and observed the man standing next to it. Just by looking at the man, you could tell he didn't mean harm, but to be sure, Nerevar scanned his mind quickly to try and guess his intent on the peaceful planet.

This damn war has raged everywhere else, I'll be dead before I let it encompass this place, he thought to himself.

Staying in the trees, Nerevar send a telepathic message to the man, Who are you, and what do you want?

Light years away in a deserted cantina a meeting that would hold the fate of the galaxy took place.a dark figure in the corner seemed to be waiting at a table for someone. He looked around nervously and muttered under his breath in his own tounge"they should of been here by now"He was a martian. Not one of thouse slimy creatures with death rays but with the same physque as a normal human. The only difference was the x2 cranium size.He was in a desparate situation. his name was al tah sanhn but will be known as al.he was sent as an envoy to from the martian colony on earth. He cursed under his own breath."How did this happen"he sighed. It was a long story.........

He had beeen at work when it happened.being a martian intelligence officer he was scrolling across some data about rodent bone struture when he heard an explosion.Outside thousands of lasers were pummeling the street and vaporizing anything on it.He ran out of his office and looked at the sky.Hundreds of ships were firing lasers and razing his town. His only thoughts at that moment were to get home.To get his wife and kids out of the city.

At that moment the martian military was trying to find out what was going on when ships landed inside the martian militay bases dpositing hundreds of enemy troops. The general was in the command buker when he heard a commotion outside. He heard las ers and explosions and the screams of his men dying.then everything went silent. His guard of 6 elite martian marines held thier weapons ready.Through the door a bar of red light burst through the door and all he could register his body to do was fire once before he was sliced in half.

On the other side of the city chaos reighned. He had been a block from his house when he saw 12 of the invaders having a fire fight with 7 martian martians. a grenade flew from an invaders hand and that ended the firefight. One of the invaders spoke in a strange tounge and began throwing grenades through windows. He managed to sneak aaround the invaders and reach his house just in time to see his wife and kids lined up against a wall. 6 invaders had thier weapons raised and it seems the commander gave the signal amd they fired. That was all he could see.He caught a shuttle off the planet.Too see the invaders ships to reduce the city to rubble........

That was 2 weeks ago.The invaders left and then sent a message to the martian leader....."Thier will be more of the same if you dont send a messenger to theses coordinates. Were he was was were the invaders told him to meet.He had been suspicious as why the leader had picked him.Thier was a commotion at the front door and a figure walked in.He looked at the bar tender and said in a cold voice"Leave us"The bartender hastily left leaving al alone with the figure. He walked over and did not sit down.He looked at al and said"So you are the one the your puny goverment sent.I would be innfuriatedd if they did not send you.Al then said "Who are you?""We are perfection the figure said. Our name would be the sith mine is darth bane. You are to send word for your goverment to give all thier armed forces to us to command and if they refuse tell them we will destrroy them.Al stAartedto leave but the bane said"No right now on your communicator."Al obeyed and called the leader. He reluctantly agreed.Bane said "excellent, and you will come with me"he said to al."wh".... al started to say but was interupted by darth bane using the force to slam him into the wall knoking him out.

Skarden was happy.

This in itsself was not an uncommon occurance, but the reason for his happiness was not a typical days activities for your average citizen of the Republic. Skarden was walking slowly through the corridors of a large freighter, whistling quietly to himself and grinning obscenely at everything he saw. Most of the crew were dead, he'd seen to that when he siezed control of their bridge and cut off environmental controls to most of the rest of the ship. He'd also locked a few doors from the bridge, to save himself the time of searching for his quarry. He reached a cabin marked "Captain" and smiled. He placed a small charge on the center of the door and then stepped back around a corner before stabbing his thumb down on the detonator button. The blast blew the door out of its frame and into the room, where a man had been sitting moments before. Now this man was lying on the floor nursing a slashed and possibly broken leg. He was soon to discover that his leg was the least of his problems. Skarden poked his head and the muzzle of his blaster around the smoking door frame and grinned at the man on the floor.

"Who are you? What do you want?"
"It's nothing personal," Skarden spoke soothingly, while keeping his blaster rifle pointed at the man's chest. "Just trying to make a living." He laughed out loud at the man's confused expression. "You cant run around cheating Hutts and expect to get away with it! The price on your head will keep food on my table for a long time."

Before the man could speak, Skarden pulled the trigger, sending a blue stunbolt into him. The bounty twitched slightly and then collapsed to the side. "All in a days work," Skarden continued to grin all the way back to his ship, carrying the senseless body over his shoulder. Once back inside with his prisoner secured, he seated himself at the controls to the Death's Head one of the most advanced ships of its time, equipped with enough weapons to arm a squadron, it was more than a match for any civilian vessel, and even some military ships, and what it couldn't outgun, it could easily outrun. Skarden plotted a course back to Nal Hutta to deliver his cargo. He would take his time, stopping in the systems of Klatooine and Korriban to update his list of bounties.

OOC: Squornshelous is right North Mars. Until you keep to proper Star Wars background etiquette and the 'closed' sign, you will be ignored. Also know that if I call any of your guys characters anything (like Taledonia's Sutran - Jedi who left the order), then I didn't make it up. I'm not trying to dominate everything. I'm jsut calling them what they're called in the Star Wars universe. For example, a Sith Lord is ranked as a 'Whatazor', so I might call a fellow Sith Lord that, instead of the name, just to make it seem more immersed in the Star Wars universe.

IC:

Dantooine

Nerevar had invaded Ba'as Ba'as' (ooc: not a typo) mind, and interrogated him frequently. At first, Ba'as thought this a Sith trap, and closed his mind against intrusion of the Force, blocking out the voices predominately, but then, he realized that he was talking not to a Sith, but a Sutran, an exile or a Jedi who left the order. Many of them existed, and many strong and powerful, and many trustworthy.

Emerging from the cool damp shadows of Blooshquis trees, the bulbous leaves flashing beautifully in the watery sunlight. A complacent paradise, a soft brown grassland, Dantooine was a common place to find many powerful Jedi. But a Sutran, however, was rare to his knowledge. Yet he was not certain anymore. gone were the days that the Jedi aided the weak, and fought weak, to find a greater goal. Now, it was more difficult.

They did not fight for the weak anymore, but for the good of all, and their enemies were unbelievably strong, and with their great fleet still, they fought viciously, calculatingly, and the Jedi - and more important - the Republic needed as many allies that could be rallied to her as quickly as possible. This new Sith menace enslaved species, and created warriors, and the Republic could simply not do that.

At first, he was going to talk telepathically, but he knew that to be honest and true he was to talk word for word, as a fellow Jedi; or at least, a pacekeeper, he hoped. Hopefully this Sutran would join him, not fight him. Putting his vibrant green lightsaber away, and stepped forth. "I am Jedi Master Skiosk Ba'as Ba'as." He spoke with a confident air. "Who are you?"

Korriban, the Tomb of Markas Ragnos

Standing magnificently, the many columned spires that tipped it's peak, and the great stone doors blocking the passage, was the infinitely tall and monstrously large tomb of the great Marka Ragnos. Powerful, and strong, Sion was still impressed by the great Sith Lord's accomplished, but to him, Sion saw the pretenious half breed as a failure.

Once, with the galaxy ready and fresh, and the Jedi Order small, they had the chance to stop them, to make the galaxy strong. But he turned away. And then he died. A true Sith never dies, Sion thought, mostly because due to his strong painful connection to the Force, Sion has been near death many times, but his own painful healing powers have saved him.

Angry, and frustrated, Sion left his stance, and walked towards the looming tower of the Sith, hoping to meet the other Whatazors there. But if he didn't he would have to call them on a strategy.

His shuttle on a collision course, Locke prepared his crash webbing as more laser bolts struck at the weakening shield surrounding the near dead vessal. As he had suspected, this time there were Dark Jedi following him, or at least one leading the charge while protecting the others from Locke's force attacks.

He swung the shuttle through a series of jukes and punched the engine for all it was worth, the planet was green and peaceful looking, he would have felt bad about what was to come of it if he were discovered here, but was still worrying about saving his life.

A torpedo smashed into his rear shields, disintigrating them. More laser bolts now struck directly across his sublight engines, blowing them off. This would have halted him if not for the fact that he was already half way through the atmosphere of a strange planet. He braced for impact.

In the training arena, Sion used the Dark side smash upen the cage, and release the weary, but angry Republic captives. They glared at him, and ready to pounce. Running crazily towards him, Sion did not take out hsi lightsaber. He grabbed the first soldier by the neck, and lunged him at the second one. The third one, in a fright, vainly tried to cut his arm, but Sion punched him squarely in the face. Staggering, the limp soldier fell. "This is barely a workout." He lashed out angrily.

In orbit over Coruscant

"Kenny, is the pallet loaded?"

"Uh, huh," Kenny said, lying on his stomach flipping through the latest Coruscanti Playboy magazine.

"Good. All systems ready for hyperspace jump." Ensign Stan Willard pushed the levers forward. His mind repeated the words of Rear Admiral Rashan, his group commanding officer. Your assignment is critical. You must get this supply of pornographic magazines to our troops on Dantooine. Their morale depends on it.

"F*ckin' bastard," Stan said to himself. 'Our troops,' after all, were little more then glorified security guards. The Jedi, after all, were the ones really defending the Galactic Republic.

The ship made a noise, but nothing happened. "God damn this hyperdrive. Kenny did you fix the hyperdrive?"

"Yeah, I got the Wookies to do it," he said, continuing to flip through his magazine. He flipped one page, and his eyes widened.

"God dammit." He smacked the controls. Suddenly, the ship flew into hyperspace, as if possessed by something. "What the hell?" Stan said. "I havn't even set a destination." He looked at the destination indicator. "What the hell is Korriban?" he said to himself.

Suddenly the little freighter emerged from hyperspace, right in the middle of a fleet of Sith starships. "Oh you've got to be sh*tting me," Stan said.

Two Sith shuttle craft fell from the sky to the crash sight where Locke had landed. The fighters were patrolling the skys above the greenery.

When the shuttles landed, they opened with a soft hss several darkly clad Sith troopers marched out, taking positions around the crashed shuttle. After them came a Dark Jedi, his hair slicked back into a ponytail, a sharp goatee on his chin. He marched swiftly over to the shuttle's black view port, and at the lightsaber burn marks that made a hole in it, a hole big enough for a human to escape.

"He could not have gone far. Find him! Search the whole forest if needed."

The troopers nodded and began to file out into the wooded area.

The Dark Jedi stayed behind, he looked around the area once more, then into a specific tree and stared intently at it.

"They are gone now, Jedi."

Locke somersaulted out of the tree and landed deftly on his feet. His lightsaber visibly attached to his belt, his cloak fell about his shoulders onto the ground.

"Prefer to fight alone, Sith? At least some of you still have honor." Locke snarled, as the pair began to circle one another.

One of the pilots from the shuttle gasped and reached out to his com at seeing the jedi, but the Sith made a motion with his hand, and the com fizzled out, then, the shuttle doors slammed shut.

Locke nodded, and turned back to the Sith.

Simultaniously, a bar of red plasma and a bar of green exploded from lightsabers, and the two figures connected in the middle of the clearing, the force crackling around them.

OOC: we need characters named Eric and Kyle, don't you think?

Around the same time Stan and Kenny's jury-rigged hyperdrive sent them to about the last place on their list of destinations, the Death's Head emerged from hyperspace at a more respectful distance from the Sith fleet. While they could be highly profitable employers, and made plenty of enemies to be hauled in, Skarden had never felt entirely comfortable working with the Sith. There was just something undeniably creepy about them that he couldn't put his finger on.

Skarden powered down his weapons and vectored the Death's Head in on the center of the Sith formation. In his career, he had learned that it never hurt to get on someone's good side. Especially when there's a whole fleet of them and one of me! he thought to himself. As he came closer to the Sith, he opened his comm unit to broadcast over the widest possible range of frequencies and keyed the transmit button.

Stan looked out of the cockpit at the ominous grey Sith starships ahead. He tried turning around, but it was no use... a tractor beam was bringing the ship in. "Dude, this is really getting f*cked up," Stan said.

Kenny walked in from the cargo hold, looking ahead. "Whao, that looks like one giant pussy!" he said.

"No, Kenny, that's not a pussy. That's the hanger bay of an enemy starship and we're being pulled in by a tractor beam."

"Oh."

The ship grew closer and closer, and finally was captured in a Sith starship's hanger bay. The hatch was opened from the outside, and Kenny and Stan walked over to the front to see who was coming in.

"We are Republic servicemen on a diplomatic mission," Stan said to three incoming figures shrouded by mist, the center one seemingly of immense body proportions. "We request the meaning of this siezure."

"Where is it?" The center figure commanded.

"Wait a second..." Stan said. "Cartman?"

"Shit," the center figure murmured. Then he spoke louder, coming out of the mist. "I am not Cartman any more. I am Darth Fatassimus, Dark Lord of the Sith."

"God dammit Cartman you let us go or we'll..."

"I would advise you to cooperate, lest I need to destroy you," Cartman retorted. The two figures flanking him, Sith troopers with blasters, quickly handcuffed Stan and Kenny, and Cartman led them out.

Skarden shivered slightly as he walked down the boarding ramp of the Death's Head. There was something about the air on these Sith ships that just wasn't right. It felt like breathing death, as if he were in an ancient tomb full of stale air and decaying bodies. There wasn't an odor in it, just a complete abscence of life.

Skarden's attetion was attracted by a small republic cargo vessel that had been pulled in by a tractor beam. What in the hell are those two nerfherders doing? He laughed quietly as they were led away by a particularly fat, short Sith. Crop-dusting idiots pushed the wrong button and went off down a blind hype jump. A warp out of hyperspace, and they arrived on the fringe of the galaxy. Sion looked around, at a green and complacent world, softly floating in space, windy green gasses flying harmlessly around the planet's deft surface. Above it, a thin layer of atmosphere made it barely breathable, and the planet was a small circle in space.

"What planet is that?" Sion asked.

"We don't know Lord." The commander replied.

"It seems similiar to the fourth Malachor. We shall call it Malachor V."

"Sir?"

"There is no need for payment. I welcome all with peaceful intent." turning and starting to walk away, he called back, "Please, follow me."

Walking for about a mile, they arrived at a sort of crystal temple built into a mountain side, and hidden by trees. Walking over to the small door of the temple, Nerevar pushed it open and signalled for the Jedi to enter.

The inside was one large round room, with painted windows shining colourful light into the temple. The marble floors shone brilliantly leading up to the round raised spot in the floor, which had stairs going around it leading to it, and a cushion in the middle of that.

To the left, was a door leading into the small kitchen, and behind that was the eating room, which had a large wooden table and more coloured windows. To the right of the central part, was a door leading to the sleeping quarters; where several single beds on wooden frames sat in rows on each side of the room, again basking in the coloured light from the windows.

Legions of Sith soldiers, filing up the long chasmic walls of the Necromanna, filed past as the Sith commander, a fleuntly powerful and cunning Sith warrior, approached carefully the skilled bounty hunter, lightsaber in hand for whatever may transpire. Approaching Skarden, he spoke with a soft whisper, as if he was drained and damned, unable to feel strong and witiful. Who knows what he had to go through.

"Lord Sion wishes to speak to you, bounty hunter." The Sith Warrior spoke simply. Turning around, his head swiveled and he spoke tenaciously; "Follow me. There are many traps and tunnels along the way. You must be careful." And he walked off. "So, I have heard that you are a bounty hunter. What kind of prey do you stalk?"

Dantooine

"It truly is a wonder to behold, dear High Order. It rivals the magnificence of some of the Jedi Order's works as well. But what is your emphasis? Pacifism? Strength? Co-operation? I must know your motives, for this is a time of war, and there are spies, possibly on both sides, from many more sides as well." He bowed gracefully, a tone of manner and respect.

Skarden fell into step behind the commander. Much to his displeasure, he'd been compelled to surrender his weapons while on board the ship. It wasn't that he didn't trust the Sith, he just didn't like going anywhere without his weapons. He felt almost naked without them. Although, he thought, it was sort of funny, all those little guys taking my guns. Skarden, at 6'6" stood a head taller than most of the Sith Troopers.

He looked up as his guide asked the question and thought for a moment before answering. "I hunt whatever prey presents itself. I hunt the enemies of others so they may have time for more productive things. For instance, imagine a Hutt Crime Lord. You wouldn't see them chasing down bad smugglers or rivals. That is what I hunt."

The commander chuckled. "Hutts are fat and complacent. Only through their logic and cunning they have survived. Without it, the Sith would have bombed the homeworld of the Hutts. I was at Nal Hutta as a diplomat once. It was the worst mistake of my life." He angrily spoke.

"We are almost there."

Skarden allowed a slight smile to cross his face. "Yes, logic, cunning and large amounts of money, which is why I work for them. It's a highly profitable business, but I certainly don't envy your experience with them. I've tried negotiating the price of a bounty before and I actually lost money because of it." Skarden's smile sliped form his face as he prepared himself mentally for his meeting with Lord Sion. It was never easy to speak with those who with force abilities, as they always seemed to know what you wanted and what you were going to say next.
The Grand Machine
09-08-2005, 01:18
Darth Terron stood on the bridge of the Sith flagship Deathmask, consumed as usual by his thoughts. In the background was the hum of a ship under way, with thousands of crew members aboard. In front of him, a channel to Korriban flickered slightly, distorting the image of Naga Sadow, Dark Lord of the Sith, exhorting the people on the war. The Sith Lords, after all, were only the tip of the iceberg, and most of the Sith Empire was as deaf to the Force as a fungus.
Switching off the machine with a thought, he gazed through space at Fondor, a growing industrial facility and one that the Republic would not be retaining for long. But the real reason Terron was here were Jedi, four of them, a group staying here briefly while they refueled their ships, heading off to evacuate citizens from worlds suspected of being targeted by the Sith.

Needless to say, they would not arrive at their destination.

Several hours later, Darth Terron jumped out of his personal ship into a Fondorian hangar, lightsaber concealed under his robes and cloak. Reaching out to the Force, he created a barrier around himself of indifference and boredom, preventing the weak rabble infesting the space docks here from bothering him with questions. Stalking down the halls, he again reached to the Force, feeling through the station until he sensed a concentration, not so far from him, as close to the docking area as possible but three decks up. He would be there in minutes. Boarding a turbolift, he amused himself by toying with the minds of those with him. As the doors slid apart, Terron exited. Losing himself in the crowd of workers rushing to their stations and visitors walking the corridors, he decided this killing would be better performed in private. Yelling above the hustle and bustle, he shouted, “People! There is a chemical agent in the air recycling system! Please exit calmly in an orderly fashion!” Smiling slightly, he continued on while the frightened throng pushed their way to the exit. Stopping at one of the doors, Terron drew his lightsaber, ignited the crimson blade, and drove it into the lock mechanism. It slid quietly open, and he stepped through. The Force told him one of the Jedi was away but would return soon, that one was asleep, and the other two were-

A pair of Jedi, lightsabers already igniting, stepped out from the shadows, fixing him with what they clearly imagined was a threatening glare, used the Force to hurl him into the wide hallway before following him out, assuming a ready stance. Grinning fully now, Terron seized the Force, wrapped himself in it, power oozing from every pore. He could feel the Jedi’s confusion as they sensed the storm of passion writhing around him, and basked in it. Speaking for the first time since he had left his ship, he said only, “Peace is a lie, there is only passion.” Then he dropped his emotional barriers and allowed the Jedi to enter his mind.

Screaming and clutching their heads, they backed away as though pushed, hands groping the air as if searching for support. A tidal wave of terror, insanity, hatred, and fury ripped through their own mental protections and tore through their minds. Their focus on the Force vanished like smoke. But before they could even take a second step backwards, Darth Terron thrust his lightsaber through one’s heart. The other one made a rasping noise, then Terron made a gesture and in the back of Terron’s mind a tiny shriek echoed through the shouts of his other victims, and the man crumpled to the floor, his soul adding once more to Darth Terron’s power. The last Jedi, seemingly awakened by the disturbance in the Force, rushed out, in night-clothes but with a blazing yellow lightsaber held in the Makashi ready-stance. Form II. Darth Terron laughed and assumed the Juyo ready-stance, then lunged at the unfortunate Jedi. Parrying clumsily, the fool backed against the wall in his haste to retreat from the blade. Terron grinned, but instead of killing him right there, made an easily blocked slow cut to the thigh. The instant the Jedi’s blade touched his, Terron’s fist came out of nowhere, brutally smashing the Jed’s jaw. Then, grabbing the Jedi by the throat, Terron lifted him against the wall. The Jedi jerkily slashed his lightsaber up at his own throat to cut off his hand, but Terron moved it too quickly to counter, and instead grasped the Jedi’s wrist, redirecting the blade into the Jedi’s own throat. Grinning once more, he left the bodies there, was on the Inferno within the hour, and entered hyperspace back to Korriban.

The Sith Commander was one step ahead. "You need not mind about your thoughts. My lord cannot break into your mind. He is strong, yes." He spoke admirably. "And also survived against many foes, but his connection to the Force is...damaged." The Sith Commander spoke.

They walked onwards, until at last the red glow strengthened, the large doors powerful and strong, slashed markings pulsing in the faint light. With a swift wave of his hand, the doors opened, and the Sith Commander led the bounty hunter inside the inner sanctums of the bridge. Finally, after watching the many slaves eye them carefully, they reached the end of the long bridge.

There stood Darth Sion, a pretentious Zabrak, once great with the Force, was reduced to mere flesh and bone, until he learned his pain. Standing imperiously aboard the Necromanna, he paid no attention when the Sith commander called his name faithfully, as if he was deaf. It was finally at the fourth call, that Sion turned around, and his face, cracked, scarred, horns protruding from his skull, white and pale as a Coruscant Moon, he eyed the two carefully.

"A bounty hunter? I have seen many of you. Yet, you are here, unlike the many I have seen. Perhaps these are dire times indeed, to seek aid of a hunter like you to fight a prey like the Jedi. Yet, you are not a typical hunter, are you? For if you were, you would not be here." He stood at full height, his tall stature behind his shining armor a glistening beacon of the strength he held. "No, I cannot see the mantle of destiny that is behooved upon you, great hunter. But I am smart enough to know that you are not normal, for you are skilled enough to gain entry into my own ship, gain my attention, and corce my men, without a single shot from your blaster. I am impressed. What is your name?" He asked finally.

It was no longer just a simple lightsaber battle, it had become all out war, two whirling blades of energy smashing into eachother. The Sith warriors had long since returned, and were now only spectators in this match of wills.

Swinging back his blade, Locke used his mastery of Djem So to parry the Sith's constant blows and turn them back on him with a more aggresive attack, but neither would give any ground. Eventually, the Sith began to pick up trees and rocks and began throwing them at Locke, which is when he knew he was in trouble, as even when he slashed the trees in half, or dodged the rocks, the red blade came flashing down at him, and his green blade was always barely there to block it.

The battle continued, Locke flipped on top of his shuttle and stared down at the Sith warrior, he turned off his lightsaber.

"You are foolish, Jedi, to turn your weapon off."

"No, I am just tired of listening to your babble, and tired of you throwing local wildlife at me."

The Sith snarled and leapt towards him on the shuttle, blade already red and screaming through the air. Locke flipped back and turned his blade on, spinning off the shuttle and throwing his blade to where the Sith had just jumped. Staring in exasperation and horror, his red blade swung up just in time to knock Locke's into the shuttles hull, where it turned off and fell to the ground.

The Sith curled back his lip in victory, and jumped down towards Locke, intent on striking a killing blow.

A yellow blade flashed up and struck away the red one.

The warrior fell back, blanching.

"I picked this up from a dead Jedi friend of mine. A jedi you killed."

"It does not matter how many lightsabers you have, Jedi fool, I will still defeat you."

"That may be so..."

Unless.

Unless Locke was willing to try the form he hadn't mastered yet, but had been fiercely training with. He would have to use Juyo, form seven. Not quite Vapaad, and not quite so close to the dark side, but it would be enough to defeat this Sith's sporatic style.

Flipping the yellow blade that had been entrusted to him by his dying ally, he swung towards the Sith warrior, linking and building up his attacks into a swirling shield of light. The warrior held up for a while, blocking and swinging here and there, but soon he was totally on the defensive, then he was on his knees, one arm gone, his lightsaber arm swinging here and there to block random attacks, then it was time for a killing blow. Locke was so into his movements now, he didn't even hear the Sith screaming for his soldiers to attack, to fire, to burn him down, he just saw his mouth moving and understood. Swinging the blade around, he blocked a stattico of blaster fire, he heard screams as the bolts were re-directed and smashed into their armor, knocking them back. Swinging his blade once again, he smashed into a force pike, and kicked the user in the chest, then using the force to knock them all out of the way. The Sith stood now, screaming and pointing his blade at Locke, who was already next to him, swinging his blade horizontally and slashing the Sith's head off his shoulders.

Falling onto his knees, the yellow blade dropped, and Locke's senses came back. He put his hands on the ground and threw up. He had never come that close, ever, to fully using vapaad and going over to the dark side with his emotions.

He was dimly aware of a soldier standing over him with a blaster rifle pointing at his head, he was also barely aware of him sitting up and clenching his fist, the soldier now clutched his throat and was screaming, Locke's eyes glinted a yellow sheen, but his senses were off again, he didn't think for the next few moments, he just felt the force...

Then he fell unconcious on the ground, the dead soldier in front of him, more dead soldiers all around him, and the Dark Jedi, still smoking, lying mear feet from him.

Skarden kept his face impassive as he listened to Darth Sion's rambling speech. As he stood eye to eye with the Sith Lord, he observed the bridge out of the corners of his eyes. It was his first time on this particular bridge, and each one varied slightly with its captain. The bridge of the Necromanna seemed at the same time, oppressive and open. It pulsed with dark energy that seemed to ebb and flow with the movements of Darth Sion.

"My name is Skarden Braaksma, perhaps you have heard tell of me, perhaps not. I have worked in the past for other Sith Lords like yourself and have grown to trust your like." He paused for a moment, weighing the words passing through his mind to find the right thing to say. "My destiny lies along the paths of the stars. But enough talk, I see from your words that you have an enemy you wish to be captured."

Sion nodded. "The Force works in many ways, and it favours the Jedi many times. The Sith and the Jedi are honorous to each other, the opponents strong and courageous, but you hunters, take whatever means is possible. That is what I find interesting. I need you to find a pretentious Jedi, Master Koisk Ba'as Ba'as. He escaped the grasp of my men once, and I intend that he do not do so again. Word of warning; he is a Jedi Master. His connection to the Force strong. Do not expect him to fall over like the many other Jedi you have possibly destroyed."

"As for where to look, try the outer rim, near the farmworlds. That was where we last saw him. Ord Mantell, Dantooine, all those planets. When you have brought me his head, I will pay you generously." And with that, Sion nodded.

Locke seemed woke up, finally, and it seemed to be several hours later. He first went to a nearby tree to relieve himself, when finished, he moved to his shuttle to use the half damaged refresher, then he moved back outside to look for a usable ship.

The shuttle craft were sealed shut, and he could not enter without breaking the hull, so he was quite out of luck there, he was about to give up and move through the woods to a safer location, when he noticed a small key card on the dead Sith's belt, taking this, he pressed it to the lock on the shuttle, and it opened.

Smiling to himself, he returned to the smaller and white shuttle to gather his meager belongings, then moving them to the Sith shuttle, clearing out the dead body of the pilot.

He lifted it up above the trees and towards the atmosphere, where he set it on autopilot to take him to the outer rim planets, he would decide what do to once there.

Locke spun the pilot's chair around and whisked himself into it, spinning the ship in evasive action just as the bolts went by.

"But I'm flying a damn Sith shuttle! Do they always just shoot at their own?"

Looking at a code promt the fighters had sent before opening fire, he slapped his forehead. He had once again been in meditation, and missed the prompt coming through.

"Well, I'm going to assume the Sith give everything they have some form of weapons system..."

He scrolled down the list of technical aspects about the ship on the datapad inserted into the console, and he found the weapons systems.

Tapping hurridly on the button that read "rear laser cannon" he rolled the ship around again as the blaster fire kept getting closer. Leaving it on autopilot, he hoped bravely that the ship's computer would keep up with the Sith fighters, and he took the control stick to the rear cannon.

Now looking through a camera coming in from the back, he swiftly targetted and fired a quick burst, but the fighters had disperced, and began coming at him from all sides.

Cursing, Locke took the stick again, and began doing fancy manuvers to try and get the fighters in his forward targetting ridicule, but the shuttle had not been made to get into dog fights.

A powerful laser had burst into fragments when they had split up into individual marauders, the Sith fighters still quickly getting closer. Their weapons were swift, and accurate, but powerful was a different term, and shuttles were always built to be sturdy and strong. If they were to break the shuttle and the enemy within, they would have to fire tenaciously.

Speeding forwards, a laser shot smashed into one of the fighter's hull, crushing the ship quickly as the incinerated body burst into flames.

"Nasty Jedi." One of the fighters spoke. The Sith fighters made a mistake, however, to not block their communications, as it became obvious that the shuttle also picked up the transmissions. "Okay, we'll go here, and then move here..."

Attempting to move and figure out the Sith fighters seemingly random flight pattern, Locke had barely any time to listen to the transmissions, though he did pick some up, but had no time to decifer them as he juked the shuttle craft around to fire off more bolts at random.

He suddenly got an idea, though. Turning the shuttle away from the fight, and after shooting off a final volley, he hit the thrusters on the sublight engines and the shuttle sped away, straight towards a nearby ring around the main planet in the system. Weaving through the outer rocks, he knew that they were only going to get bigger and harder to avoid, but he was counting on it.

"This will be my most difficult bounty, but I will complete it for you Lord Sion." Skarden spoke carefully, but exuded confidence, Sion was right, he had taken care of Jedi before, he had a very special weapon to use in this instance, but it would require a little finesse to get ahold of. "I must now take my leave of your company, as other matters are pressing. Always a pleasure to do business with the Sith." With that, Skarden gave a little half bow and turned to exit the bridge. The Sith Commander who had brought him escorted him through the Necromanna's corridors back to the docking bay, where he retrieved his weapons and boarded his ship.

As the Death's Head exited the magcon field holding the air inside the Necromanna's hangar bay, Skarden engaged the main thrusters and began a long, lazy curve away from the Sith vessels. He ran some quick computations through the hyperspace computer and set a course, making the jump to hyperspace seconds later. His path, surprisingly, was straight into the galactic core, not towards the outer rim planets Darth Sion had mentioned. His destination: the planet Myrkr.

OOC: Ba'as Ba'as is a Jedi Master Consular with a strong connection to the Force that he heavily relies on. The Planet Myrkr has the Ysalamiri, that creates a void in the Force nearby, rendering the Force useless for all nearby Force Users. Since not only are the Jedi's intuition, powers, and all their superhuman abilities tied to the Force, your bounty hunter would bring one to Ba'as Ba'as, where he would have a major disadvantage, and then Skarden would probably kill him off from a distance or maybe with a rocket. Or even a dart where he can't heal himself. That it?

IC:

The Sith fighters swerved and dodged, and soon enough the second fighter was blasted in the random burst that the shuttle finally exhuted. Angrily, the last fighter, surviving because he was a dark Jedi, sped forwards onto the enemy, blaster cannons outstretched. He waited slowly, but an asteroid nearly skimmed the top of his fighter, and his expetancy was low.

Twisting around, the Fighter turned around and sped forwards, until he turned around again, and sped faster even more, reaching the shuttle's evasive manuevers in a ring system, extremely difficult to move around.

The Sith fighter did not care anymore. He let loose a swift volley of blaster shots, and whether they hit the shuttle or not, he knew that the enemy would deal with him as a threat; hopefully.

The bolts scattered across his rear shields, which were now losing power remarkably fast, considering the amount of energy he had to put into the forward shields to stop the smaller rocks from knocking out his armor.

Locke finally juked the shuttle around remarkably fast, turning the shuttle to face the remaining Sith fighter head on.

"You want to play?"

He hit the thrusters again and armed the laser cannon.

Skarden smiled as his ship reverted to realspace. After a brief stop on Myrkr, he had managed to get his hands on a pair of Ysalamiri. He'd had to physically saw he branches they were sitting on off of the tree, since their long claws had grown into the wood, making it impossible to remove them alive. They were both sitting in small cages and he had purchased from a man who had also sold him a mixture of some unidentifiable crap the things were supposed to eat. He had both of them strapped down in the holding bay, now vacant of its previous occupant. The unfortunate man Skarden had captured had been dropped off on Nal Hutta shortly after leaving Myrkr, and Skarden's pockets and bank account bulged with credit coins.

The world before him was not a particularly beautiful or interesting one, but it meant something to him. It was the closest thing to home he'd ever known. Various spots on the Night side twinkled, and he saw the vast area of darkness that was the Dune Sea. He closed in on Tatooine, vectoring in toward Mos Eisley Spaceport, visible as a bright glow on the surface even from his altitude.

After landing his vessel, Skarden located a cab speeder and got in. The driver blanched when he heard his location. "You can't be serious about that sir. Isn't there someplace else?"
"You heard me the first time, don't worry, he doesn't shoot everyone who comes within a kilometer. All you need to do is drop me off, and keep this comlink, I'll call you later when I need you to come get me."
"If you think I'm going anywhere near that place you're. . ."
"Quite correct," interupted Skarden, slipping a 100 credit coin into the man's hand. "Now get moving."
Without another word, the landspeeder accelerated off and soon left the spaceport and its surrounding slums and suburbs behind, heading out toward the edge of the Dune Sea and the small town of Mos Espa. Some time later, it pulled up in front of a large forbidding building, if it could be called that. The structure seemed to squat on the rocky outcrop it sat on, as if at any moment it might crawl off over the endless sands it overlooked.
The speeder driver pulled away so quickly after Skarden got out he was almost knocked over by its slipstream. He laughed and walked nonchalantly up to the massive door. After a brief conversation with the doordroid, the entire wall receded up into the roof. Skarden walked in, and was immediately met by a pair of Gamoreans, decked out in all their barbaric disgustingness. He was lead through darkened corridors until he stood in a large, but dimly lit room. He looked up at his host, who was seated on a raised dais, above the rest of his attendants, who stood around the edges of the room. A small band played the week's hit song off to one side, and dancers gyrated on the central floor.

Skarden swaggered arrogantly out into the center of the room.

The Sith Fighter flung himself around in circles against the shuttle, trying vainly to avoid the shots of the shuttle. "Why did we give such powerful weapons on our shuttle?" The Sith fighter wondered, as another shot smashed into his right wing, causing him to mess up his flight patterns. Aiming carefully at the shuttle as he was crashing, the Dark Jedi hoped to board the shuttle when his fighter would collapse.
