OOC: I don't see why you need such a thing. After all, SDs are large, impractical, and cumbersome.

It's got to cost way more than 2.5 B. That's all I notice at the moment,
Why not build a big metal box with 4 windows on two sides of it, stick 8 railguns in it, put a crew compartment in it, and then put it in high earth orbit?
Take your time and build about 20 of those and you have defense against super-ultra-mega-big things.

Nope.
People with SD's say they have 5000 SAMS, 10000 Marines, and 20 tanks on that.
You're not allowed to get close to it or you're a n00b, but it's able to single handidly destroy your navy and camp out on your best beach.

It is outranged by most if not all SD's, less VLS, judging by displacement, less armour, and way to under priced. Anyone that has an SD knows how to kill one. Theres really no need to build these big contraptions.
And no, Godrods are not the answer, they can be pretty damn inaccurate.

but performance is somewhat stupid~
because it has an SD armament and it's about the size of a nimitz~
cut the guns down to 18".
My R Type (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b245/ComradeMatt/Military%20Designs/RTypeFinal.png) has 20" main armament [set out in 5 triple turrets] and it's only 530 metres.
I think the design for this is impractical, after all, it's just another battleship.
