The Kirarrii sector; a long forgotten part of the galaxy, hidden away in a backwater of nebulas and electromagnetic disturbance, it has long felt the tyrannous claw of Chaos. In the days before even the Imperium of Man was young, this system lay as a bastion of humanity; the humans who had come there in colony ships still communicating with each other; though long forgotten Terra was beyond their reach...They held together; their loosely cobbled together armies holding of, for the most part, the insidious influence of Xenos or Chaos.

Yet this peace was not to last, as most things; it was but a calm before the storm...

With the event that was Warpstorm Behemiel, everything changed. Taint seeped from the void as the Warpstorm rent a roaring maelstrom in space and time itself; the hordes of fiendish Chaos descended upon the unsuspecting system; Daemons raining from the skies; humanity brutalised, devoured....Subjugated.

Cults emerged on countless worlds, worshipping the great icons that their gods left in their wake; toiling in the temples and cities; slaves to these insidious Daemon Masters. Agents of all four of the gods descended from the abyss; and their wars shattered worlds, sundered stars; such is the black history of Kirarri.

When finally, a group of Eldar came upon the worlds; they laid siege to the taint of the ancient enemy; cleansing the worlds of their infestation, yet sparing the mon-keigh who served them...They watched as each and every temple was buried; their obscene artifacts and icons plunged beneath the depths; into the secret hearts of the worlds...

Humanity returned, building cities to mirror the God's, whos voices still echoed from their bindings; from the dark prisons that dwelt beneath the surface; bound to their edifices. Only a few knew of the secrets; but they hid within plain sight; a corrupt thorn in the heart of progress...

Millenia have passed; and this system remains peaceful; but the secrets spread by the cultists remain, traces of their writings found on far distant worlds; allures to set in motion great hunts for both Order and Chaos.

Shall the ancient powers of this sector remain trapped? Shall they be destroyed? Or unleashed...It all depends on those who partake of the cup.

OOC: This is to be an Epic Campaign; a great and terrible dispute that will rage across worlds, and the void of space. Character RP, as well as some war, will be encouraged in the pursuit of the dark forces within the Kirarri sector.

Half dozen 'toss, plus two ACS TDMs, and a single kerriganesque character. You should know how I go off on Chaos by now, this calls for my guys to find where the Chaos is coming from, and stop it.

Oh, we need Quantity too, well, a Squadron is about 100 units, and this is a partial squadron, so Quantity is ensured, Quality is expected from me, but I'm too tired to make a rely good post right now, so I just gave myself an easy in.

The Orc's decided that war was too much for them, and retired to a small village in Wales, where they would go up to the ruins of the old castle, and throw rocks as the tourists going to a local pub to catch a glimpse of Zeta Kathrine and her hubby.

Of course the locals didn't care for this much, and the army was called in. Several indivduals sued the Orcs for pain and suffering, resulting in the Orcs having to hire themselves out as Mercenaries to pay the huge cash rewards their victims had received. Ah, if only Jhonny Cochren had still been alive, he would have been able to buy a new house in Malibu.

Gaz'kul had found a couple of very annoying 'ummies, who kept gibbering on about some daemons being realease or some-such. "You, 'ake dese 'ummies to Gronsnik."

The orks brought the 'ummies to the lab/medical center, home to the Pain Boss Gronsnik.

Gronsnik grinned, revealing a massively mechanized jaw, as he gestured to an overlarge grot, with a major hump, and an Igor complex.
"Strap dese into the lab-tables."
The grot lifted the 'ummies and strapped them down.
With a maniakle cackle and a reving noise of a bone saw, he set to work.

Hmm, well it appears I blew some ragtag Orks off the face of the planet your on because there were near my landing spot.

As for who the Var are attacking, in characters. No one it would appear presently. But then the Var don't attack by dropping on the enemy and plunging into warfare.

Whatever the Var are up to.
