History of Yinzola
500 years ago, there was a loose kingdom of warring provinces. There were 27, but 5 nations emerged as the leading force. They were: Mon, Gheny, Millon, Tiers, and Sliberty. All the provinces were allied with one of these powers. In one fateful year, the leaders of Mon and Gheny died suspiciously of eerily similar ways. The 3 remaining powers invaded and split the lands between themselves, destroying much of the land for thousands of years to come. A ferocious war broke out through a border arguement, and the 50 million people of the kingdom were engulfed in civil war. After 100 years of massacres, destruction, and terrible battles, the population was reduced to less than 100,000 people. A famous warrior named Marcus Yinz, an ancestor of the survivors of Gheny, called the various surviving leaders , starving together. After a month of negotiations, the 25 crippled, starving provinces united behind Marcus, creating the Allied Kingdom of Yinzola. For 200 years this kingdom was prosperous and wealthy. The last king, Marcus XII formed the Yinzola National Congress and declared free elections for the first time in its history. He believed Yinzola's future to be democracy, and monarchy would eventually fall apart. So was born the Allied States of Yinzola. For the next 100 years the economy boomed and capitalisim raged. The people embraced the new government with open arms. However, crime also increased and extremist parties vied for power amongst themselves. 21 years ago in 1984, Marxist terrorists raided the National Congress building. 31 of the 100 congressmen were killed or seriously injured. The remaining politicians, backed by the president, vowed to eliminate communisim from the regions of the earth. This policy has slackened since then, and slight economic ties are in existance with several communist nations.

Info: The Armed Forces of Yinzola have 100,000 soldiers on Active Duty. Another 400,000 are in Reserve or part of the Yinzola Emergency Defense Unit
Service is voluntary and training is a rigerous 6 month program. Every unit is drilled according to its leader's specifications. The Elite unit is the 1st Mech. Infantry Division of 10,000 men. They are drilled constantly, and are a match to a force 10x its size. It is mobile and can be deployed anywhere in the world within 48 hours.(OOC) if any1 wants specs about anything post it. ex. vehicles, men, leaders etc.
