On a peaceful monday, with many citizens tending their daily routines, a very dark chapter was to be opened in Chinese history. A total of 7 bombs were set off with just 25 seconds intervals. The city of Taiping(Shenyang) was struck by terrorists. An estimated 2,200 were killed, with more than 4,000 injured. Nearly half of the subway routes were destroyed, and the whole transit system could not be operated. Fire broke out in several parts of the city. The fires have not been contained, and the Federalist troops are now moving hundreds of civilians to the North and Western ends of the city where the bombing has not affected the area.

Three hundred Federal Guards were killed while investigating on suspicious packages near the Shenyang Palace. The East towaer of the palace was destroyed, sending it crumbling down killing an estimated 70 people in the process, and injuring a few hundred.

A prince of the Xiannese royal family was killed during a strode near the East tower gardens. Several government officials were killed when another bomb exploded at the Presidential Palace of Taiping.

A dozen helecopters from Beijing had flown in to Taiping. The copters were carrying soldiers and equitpment in an effort to save the many still buried inside the ruins of Taiping.

General Liu, upon hearing the news vowed skin alive the ones responsible. He head off to a helecopter, waving to the crowds, many weeping for their relatives who have died in Taiping, and many were cheering for Liu, as he boarded the helecopter to Taiping.

During the trip to taiping, several helecopters mysteriously vanished from radar...

ooc: judging by the title, the contents of the last post, and the fact that I looked up Sino and he no longer exists, I'm assuming Liu was shot down and killed by terrorists with Stinger-type missiles (that or a freak helicopter crash, which would be even less a fitting fate for Liu). Before everyone tells me to go away and reminds me that I'm probably ignored by everyone in AMW, I'd like to at least say a few words:

ic:

Though little more then a few boatloads of starving refugees in the middle of the Pacific, Bonstock, or whats left of it in AMW, would like to utterly condemn the Shenyang bombings and the assasination of General Liu. Liu was a cunning adversary, and a noble warrior. Though his actions were part of the undoing of the old Federal Republic, we are saddened that his life was cut short by such cowardly actions of terrorist criminals. So great an adversary does not deserve such a fate. May God grant him eternal peace, and punish his murderers in the fiery pit of His wrath. If we could, we would help track them down ourselves, but unfortunately, being merely a few boatloads of starving refugees, we have nothing to offer, and we apologize for that. Goodbye and godspeed, General. Your untimely end will not go unavenged.

OOC: Perhaps we could find a more fitting end to Liu? Maybe a one on one duel to the death with someone? Perhaps against Putin? He may have been annoying, but Liu was a legend in AMW.

IC:

The Russian government has offered to send aid to the afflicted areas, and the Russian Red Cross is mobilizing for a relief effort. A full condemnation of the terrorist attacks is issued.

OOC: Sino might be coming back, and is planning to protest against his deletion. Shall we just say he is missing for now?

OOC:Yeah, he's just missing, it was meant to have a storyline for his dissappearance from NS. He told me he'll try to get his account back soon. hey Bonstock!

Similiar attacks in Ulaanbaatar were reported, but no major damage or deaths have been reported. Five Mongolians were arrested, and have admitted in the bombing attempts in Ulaabaatar but have remained quiet on the Shenyang bombings. Major cities were put on high alert with reserve troops put on the streets to assist in a 24/7 patrol of major city precincts.

They will be sent to the Beiyang Shangguan, where China's Stapopol Agency keeps their political prisoners. It is also famous for their various questioning techniques.

Russian aid were welcomed in Beijing despite the Chinese population's opposition to the invasion of the Baltics. Chinese aid workers have already teamed up with their Russian counterparts in the gruesome attacks.

_-General Liu-_
A serious investigation on the mysterious disappearance of two helicopters was underway. The helicopters have appeared to be heading North-East to the Direction of Shenyang until suspicious activity was spotter South-West of Shenyang(Taiping). Several helicopters including Liu's unit headed there for a look until it was taken over by the foggy conditions. It worsened when several bombs were set off at Liu's direction which cause smoke to take over the area. Three helicopters had actually made their way out of the fog and smoke and interogations of the soldiers on board the helicopters told Xinhua reporters that they lost contact with Liu's helicopter almost immediatly when they went into the smoke. Three of the pilots have suggested a projectile attack which may have damaged the helicopters.

The pilots' conclusions proved realistic after finding pieces of the helicopters in a filed near Shenyang, where the militants were ultimately discovered and killed.

Chinese troops have eliminated the rebels in the area the helicopters had headed toward in a military operation. The rebels were of Mongolian and Uighur ethnicities, and several carried ID's tracing to the S.A.R. Mongolia and Xinjiang. Another full investigation has been ordered for this mysterious rebel encampment.

No terrorist/rebel groups have claimed responsibility for the bombings. A Xinjiang-Mengge Independence Militia is a probable backer of the bombings.

Quinntonian authorities, upon hearing about the disappearance of the General, could hardly help from leaping for joy!

Beddgelen authorities have reacted in a similar fashion. That is to say, four hundred and ten million people have charged their glasses in India.

Some choosing to toast GSIC, apparently quite sure that the Sentinels have finally achieved their aim, despite a lack of proof either of their involvement or of Liu's capture/death.

Still, some universities are already opening studies into the effects of possible diplomatic or ecomonic relations with China.

The Ottoman Empire mourned the loss of a great figure in your history and sent a basket for pale Turkish flowers to his family.

Message to the Chinese Government

We mourn the loss of one as great as he, and hope, with you, that he is not dead, as it seems. If Ottoman help is needed, we are ready to give it.

If we die, may it be in peace.

Signed, The Sublime Sultan,

Abdul Hamid III

Muslim mosques were closed by the government and several muslim leaders have been arrested for questioning. Under the order of Chancellor Yeh, all religious gathering will now be monitered by Stapapol and Federalist Guards in an effort to keep religious extremism at check.

Christian missionaries have also been demanded to leave. Several hundred Quintonnian and Hudecian missionaries have already headed for the airports. The government does not want Christian sympathizers to encourage mass revolts, which will only lead to a gruesome break down.

Martial Law has been ordered in China. Scouting teams in search of Liu have concluded that they may have headed toward Nei Mongolia. Because China was in need of a military leader, Chancellor Yeh has requested that Emperor Zhang Fu Guo's son become a temporary high regent to take over the military.

The ambassaodr to China launched a formal protest, with the Deputy Prime Minister calling in person to ask why Quinntonian missionaries are being singled out for persecution, especially when it goes completely against the talk of equality of all religions as spoken about in the Asian Pacific Rim Alliance agreement.
He asks how Quinntonia can be expected to trust a government that pushes treaties and agreements that they don't seem to care about and that don't seem to be worth the papaer taht they are printed on.

It is in the best interests of the government, and also for the missionaries' safety to return to their native countries. Investigations have concluded that the bombing may have been a result of Uighur and Mongolian Independence Advocates. Although the government may fear that foreign missionaries may also be advocates for such revolts, it is also a fact that the Muslim extremists in Xinjiang have attacked Christians in the past. The government understands the ambitions of such missionaries, and doing so may lead to dangers which the government cannot help with.

The Chinese government respects Quintonnia's concern, and has instead retracted their demands and have requested foreign missionaries to either to leave China, are move out of the danger areas.

Joshua shook the hand of the chancellor as he collected his degree after four years of hard work. It had all paid off, now he was Ps Joshua Zhang. He planned to follow in his aunt's footsteps, to bring the Gospel into China.

Whilst on the stage, he noticed a slight commotion going on at the back of the hall. Was it his father's agents again?

Thank you for retracting the order. Missionaries know that they are going into dangerous work, and may have to be martyred for their work, it is up to God to care for them and guide them. They will be encouraged, for their own safety, to go to Quinntonian consulates and get out of danger areas, but most will probably choose to continue their work.

At Trinity, the commotion is drawing quite a lot of atatention, as the foriegn agents come into the room flanked by NSA, FBI and CIA agents.

The Chinese Agents were only distinguished by their American counterparts by their lapel pins and apprent racial appearance.

Our apologies. I have here the edict of Emperor Zhang Fu Guo. The prince and the agents lowered their heads as the the documents were read aloud.

Emperor Zhang Fu Guo, his majesty, has requested you, Prince Zhang to return to the Beijing under special circumstances. The Emperor's health is failing, and you, as heir, will be required to take your righteous place in China's government. Respect this..

As he finished, the CSS guards showed his way toward their American counterparts and have immediatly headed toward the airport.

A private plane is already waiting at the airport along with a dozen CSS agents.

The Uighur-Mengge Revolutionary Network has calimed responsibilty for the bombings in Shenyang and Nei Mongolia. "Han blood will paint the yellow Earth, release our leader! Independence will achieved!"

Instead, the Chinese government has requested an audience with the the rebel officials in Nei Mongolia.

Mehmet Almas, the rebel leader, was captured by Xiannese forces during the expedition West. Working along with Sinoese authorities, they had crushed several uprisings, and had captured a great prize.

While the average Russian was overjoyed at the possibility that General Liu, the psychopathic nationalist who threatened the stability and freedom of the world's peoples, high ranking political analysts take a different tack. While Liu was undoubtedly a threat, he had always shown a certain degree of respect for Russia, perhaps due to the taste for militarism and nationalism he shared with President Putin. This, along with his xenophobic paranoia of India and Communism served to restrain China from attacking Russia and keep the aggressive Bedgellens in check. (Especially since the Bedgellens had the talent of dragging in the entire Progressive Bloc whenever they started a war.) Chancellor Yeh seems much less friendly to the Russians, and far more concilliatory towards the Indians, leading some high ranking officials to call for a tightening of alliance bonds with the Holy League and closer relations with NATO.

Hudecian diplomats were readying their protest papers when they saw that the demand had been withdrawn. Many Hudecian missionaries were planning on disobeying the Xiannese demands and remain in the mission fields.

They were quite pleased with the turn of events involving Liu, although no one would openly say it. There were some who appreciated his brutal and sadistic methods, but not many.

Still, there was some signs of pity for the man, although people weren't rushing to the Chinese embassy to drop flowers off. In fact, the event would probably pass out of people's minds within a few ... seconds.
