Will your nation become the greatest new-world nation? Will it perish like its predecessors? In this rivalry for dominance new-world leaders will compete using both force and subtle diplomacy to become mightier than ever before.

And what do you have to achieve this? The populace of the old world wait in their homelands scared and vunerable. They need a strong leader. A leader who will use weapons of the old world to make a better new world.

Ncs Is Mine Again!

At the end of 2005 the IRA promised to disarm and settle down peacefully.
Over the next few years Britain began to remove their anti-terrorist forces from Northern Ireland with little evidence of the IRA disarming themselves.
By 2008 90% of the British forces in Northern Ireland had left as ordered by the Labour goverment despite the number of critics pointing out that the IRA were making no significant steps to disarm. Sinn Fein still claimed no linkings to the IRA.
In 2009 the IRA struck. They bombed 5 significant British military outposts in Northern Ireland. The British army lost just under 900 soldiers to the bombers. The IRA claimed responsibility.
There was public outrage in England. The British army immediatly sent the SAS and other military groups into northern Ireland, to capture any IRA members. With Various tip offs and intelligence, 40 members of the IRA were caught within a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately 3 innocent Belfast boy's were mistaken for terrorist and shot during a raid. Now the Northern Irish public was outraged. They made claims of irresponsiblity and slight racism. Public protests were made.
Unfortunately among the protestors were IRA members. These members triggered a riot, a mob even. Windows were smashed, people were beaten up in the street if they were suspected English and petrol bombs were thrown at armed police. The police finally quelled the riot. Scenes of the riot were shown on television, unfortunately showing scenes of police brutality.

To make things worst Extremist Muslims blew up two buses and a tube in London in retaliation for the recent capture of Extremist leaders. 50 Londoners died that day

British forces were now sent into the Republic of Ireland to catch the leaders of the IRA. In retaliation the IRA infiltrated and bombed the house of common's. All 3 Main party leaders were killed among many other members of Parliament.

The Country was now leaderless. Field Marshal Phillip's took control. He immediatly enforced strict rule in both Britain and Ireland. Curfews were enforced, citizens had given up their Civil rights and soldiers patroled the streets.
In the next three years there were no bombings (2013). The whole of the IRA was put behind bars, 10 Islamic extremist bombing attempts were prevented. Crime dropped significantly. People were satisfied with the leadership they were recieving. An election was held with the leading members of the old parties, but there was also a new party led by Field Marshal Phillip's. Despite the grumblings of the lack of civil rights, and the promise of every other party to relax the strict control on citizens lives, The PP (Protection of the People) Party won a landslide victory. He was only 35
Once Prime-minister Phillip's was confident with his position, he enforced plans to Unite the United Kingdom once again through negotiations. By 2016 He was successful, and all of the U.K. was one state again, despite the slight anger in Ireland.
It was 2021 when Phillip feared the loss of his power. Although he had relaxed his Armed forces present through the country slightly, and dropped the curfew, the public was turning against him. Ireland would be taking part in the election, and they were certain to vote against him. Even the English were sick of seeing gun men pace the streets, being told to hold there hands up. Even the occasional shooting of supposed terrorist. Phillip was considered paranoid by the public. So Phillip passed a vote through Parliament to allow him emergency powers (any1?). He blamed it on supposed intelligence that claimed Islamic extremist were prepared to use dirty bombs in London.

So the election was cancelled leading to public outrage. Peaceful protests across the country immediatly switched to riots. Phillip was sending the British army across the country. The press was completely censored, and Phillip exerted his influence to crush the riots with arrests and executions. Riots were fired upon. People were driven into their homes.

The Dictatorship of the United Kingdom exerted its influence upon the populace, despite protests by foreign democracy's, all the way upto 2034......

Belgium has joined, as has Luxembourg, the Federal Republic of Germany for economic support during the French crisis. To the west, Britain becomes stronger. To the south and east, Italy unites with Sweden. Liechtenstein, small as it is, is annexed by this new coalition. The only constant in Europe seems to be Spain.

a colony on another planet in 2024? Well i guess i will allow it although it is slightly extreme. Dont let technology run to far btw. let FtL development be for only small ships, and make sure the technology is spread across multiple nations (although you will lead in it). No laser fire yet.

OOC: It's my nation's history, that I've had written for myself for a while. A freak accident regarding a ship's engines made it warp to Sucello, where they crashed and formed a small colony type thing.

In 2011, the much loved leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro, died in his sleep. After much mourning in Cuba, many countries, including Brazil saw this as oppurtunity to wipe out Communism, despite the fact that a new leader had already been apointed. The facist Brazilian government invaded Cuba, but never reached Havana, causing a war that lasted 12 years.

In 2023, when the Brazilians were nearing the capital, the new communist government in Argentina (appointed after the economic collapse during the first decade) decided to assist there allies in Cuba, by invading Brazil, successfully. The Cubans rejoiced, thinking the war wuld be over, but they were mistaken. The Argentine government (Brazil was now a part of Argentina, but the capital remained Buenos Aires) pumped more forces in to Cuba, in an attempt to gain more land. By 2025, anarchy was in Cuba. The war still going on, the government had virtually no control over their own people, pumping all their funds into the military. In 2027, the Argentine forces finally reached Havanna, and seized power. In 2028, the Argentine government announced it's building of Socialism in Brazil and Cuba. They did this successfully, reaching their goal in 2032, when they renamed themselves LASA (Latin American Socialist States). They were on their wat to becoming a super power, their economy growing each day. By 2034, they were a force to reconed with, about the same power as the USSR has in the 20th century.

The year is 2034. The Russian Federation's greatest competitor, the USA, has dissolved. An ironic twist of history.

The soviet leaders of the past have predicted this. Capitalism, they argued, would destroy itself ultimately. The rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer to a state where they would not tolerate CEO's and managers recieving more than they should deserve, while the labourers were being exploited. Communism isnt working. People are dissatisfied with the slow process and are fed up with having no control over their private property. Clearly, a compromise should be used.

And so at the the end of 1991, President Gorbachev has made a sacrafice to allow the breakup of the USSR -a mere diversion and waiting period. Waiting.. until the time was right, for a contingecy plan was in place... just waiting to be activated. The time was now.

The USA has gone into anarchy. Workers refused to work, riots swept through the streets and looting was widespread. Anyone seen wearing a suit and tie were methodically beaten up. The nation came to a grinding halt. Recieving poor funding in vital equipment such as body armour, soldiers refused to fight the rioters. The military collapsed. In the USA, anarchy ruled.

This was the signal.
Overnight, the Russian parliament put forth the contingency plan and it applied to the whole of the Russian sovereign territories. Overnight, a new dictatorship was born. Overnight, the Socialist State of the Russian Federation (SSRF) rose. Overnight, the glorius Red Flag flew high and proud once again.

Russian citizens woke to find scores of army trucks carrying troops patrolling the streets. "Be not alarmed!" The voice blared from the loudspeakers mounted on the trucks. "The world is in anarchy and we are here to ensure you, citizens of the motherland, are well protected. Go about your daily lives as normal. The troops are here for you." The citizens soon learned of the new government and its policies over the news. All citizens were required to recieve a barcode tattoo in their left arm, for identification purposes. It was made using a specialised ink formula only known to the government. This was to prevent unauthorized foreigners -who could be spies or "undesired personnel"- from entering the Federation whose borders were too large to secure. Everyday, people going to work would have to be "scanned in" and have their identity tags (worn around the neck) verified. Surname, first initial, serial number (which corresponds to their barcode), the words: Russian Socialism, Organisation (place of work), and the nation: SSRusFed were information stamped onto the circular and octagonal copper discs. If a person's barcode and/or id discs did not match those on record, the person would promptly be escorted away for interrogation. At first this was seen as a major hassle. However, after the arrests of several illegal persons who were found to be former USA capitalists and some anarchists hoping to destablize the nation, the public finally accepted the system.

The dictatorship, has decided to increase spending on social welfare systems. Private businesses were permitted but managers and owners's pay was near equal to that of those doing manual labour. This was done through taxation and redistribution. People with capitalist tendencies were given a re-education in equality. Those failing to learn were still released but placed under observation. Any civil unrest they caused would be their last. They would be subsequently locked up and subjected to a state of total poverty recieving only minimal amounts of food in prison until they agree with the equity system. The unemployed would be assisted in job search but recieved no money. They were issued ration tickets so they could maintain basic health but had no luxuries. If they wanted money and a higher standard of living, they had to work. Health care and the military also recieved increase funding. Prisoners of war were used as human resources sent to camps to do manual labour. If they get too weak to work, they are burned as fuel. -A policy devised by the Commissar of War. This discouraged many nations to face Federation troops.

The state also claimed all property used to produce capital. Farmers were well compensated for their efforts and the whole country ran efficiently. Private property and land for private housing and recreation was allowed. Hard workers recieved bonuses and there were great incentives to work. The government would lower the rent or mortgage on those peoples who contribute more by working efficiently, being at work on time, not taking leave and the amount of work they do with the standard number of hours at 8 hours but more if the citizen chooses. The nation grew stronger by the minute and the citizens have become fiercely patriotic, proud of their new government. At long last, a dictator for the people. This highly successful form of socialism was known Russian Socialism (or RussSoc for short).

The general public rarely sees the dictator. But appearances were applauded by the masses. The mighty SSRF's dictator's last appearance was at Red Square, giving a speech about world unity through socialism. He offered surrounding nations protection from foreign invasion and said "our military will be there to fight them off for you. And then we will leave. What we want is a stable region. Eurasia (Europe+Asia) will thrive while the far west fall!" Additionally, he invited the British dictator over to the Kremlin for discussions about Eurasia and guarding it from anarchists, who has ravaged the US because they hate not only capitalism but further, lost faith in all forms of government. "A joint exercise between the Spetsnaz and the SAS would be a world first. The most elite special forces units in the world unite. You can guarantee Eurasia will be safe" The oration ended with a military parade of tanks, missile squads and the Red Infantry.

"Have you listed my objectives?" Questioned Prime-Minister Phillip's. Although now aged 56, he looked far younger. He stared into the fire as his political second in command repeated the nations objectives for the next 10 years. Phillip's had restructured the whole of the Political office in the U.K. now. Although all his laws had to be voted through, 75% of the people in Parliament were of the PP party and did what he wanted them to.
"1. Extend the Military service act to force 16 year olds to take military service, as opposed to 18 year olds." Phillip smiled. He had introduced the original act in 2028, and the U.K.'s military force had never been so large. It was surprising how many teenagers chose the military as a career after taking the Service.
"2. Begin the Purchase of the new technology off the Deutschefranzösisch Rheinland negotiations within the next 3 months."
"3. Organise a World Powers meeting in London within the next year."
Phillip's lost himself in his thoughts as his second in command slowly passed through all the nation's plans. He had to get a new second in command soon, better than this blithering clerk.
"8. Begin Mission: Old Empire....."
"Enough Charles. Tell me about the Russian invitation."
"An invitation to the Kremlin to discuss plans to secure Eurasia against the anarchists. This maybe an opportunity to discuss Mission: Old Empire. Russia could be a powerful ally. Another opportunity this could bring out could be a mutual protection pact, a arms trade or a safe passage agreement."
"Then we must be present. When is the meeting dated for?"
"Exactly a month from now (OOC: ok? not in real life time, about next post in NS time)."
"This should be most interesting. A communist state." Phillip Smiled "Send back a confirmation. You're going Charles. Im sure they will be flattered if we are sending my second in command."

100,000 troops are now on board numerous naval and air transports, moving towards the Maldivas Islands. There goal is to take back what is rightfully Argentina's and are doing so by force. They will arive in 1/2 an hour. They will then set up and army base, and 60 bombers are on there way to attack any British air, infantry or naval bases in the area. They will also arrive in 1/2 an hour.

Dear Socialist Comrad,
We advise you to call off your troops on their way to attack the British colony. Though the territory is rightfully Argentina's, an unprovoked attack would not do your sovereignty any good. The British will retaliate with full force and presently, our analysts have concluded you will lose. As a fellow socialist nation, we recommend this for your prosperity. We also invite you to the Kremlin for peace talks.

The Troops arrived, and the astounded police force surrendered when they saw how much they were out numbered by. They marched on toeward the Maldivas capital, to seize power in the name of LASA. The bombers found their targets, and began bombardment of the bases. They recived an order to prepare for retreat, when given the order. There have been no casulties as of yet.

"They are advancing on the Maldiva's island's sir" replied Field Marshal Swift
"What do we have in the area?" Questioned the Prime Minister
"5 Arsenal Ships are in the area sir backed up by 2 Royal Navy Navy Cruisers , thankfully. The Island is only occupied by 2000 men, including 300 SAS forces. They also have 40 AA guns protecting our barrack's and air and naval bases. We have given orders for our 20 F/A 26's (Fighters) to lift off along side 8 F/A 28's (Bombers). We are approaching the enemy as we speak sir, but we are hopelessly outnumbered."
Prime Minister supposed he shouldn't of been surprised, and was thankful that he had as many mobile forces in the area as he did. Although not really considered part of the United Kingdom, he had sent over the very forces that were now defending it in 2032.
"Order the Navy to mobilise. I want as many aircraft carriers and ships down there as soon as possibe. Prepare the infantry as well. Thats right swift, we are going to invade the LASA. We will not bow before any foreigners. Let this be a message to the world. We will not accept any sort of military action based at the U.K!"

The Defence:
The Hawks pulled off their run-ways. Undetected by any sort of RADAR, these stealth jets turned to face the incoming enemy. Already on RADAR were the enemy bombers. Lifting up high each jet carried 8 AIM-160C missiles. Long range missiles that were guided by RADAR, they were known as fire and forget missiles.
20 AIM-160C were fired at a range of 80 miles......

OOC: you have to give me time to react. Your bombers were immediatly spotted on RADAR, so they were met with resistance.

In the year 2025 when the European Union dissolved so did Liectenstein's, luckily Switzerland had never joined the EU and was left as one of the World's Superpowers Italy and Liectenstein looked to Switzerland for aid and in so came the Swiss Agreement making Italy and Lietenstein apart of the New Confederacy of Switzerland which still remains a strong economy and a neutral force, the Vatican and San Marino's soveriginity are being discussed. They were looking to gain allies and sent a letter to the United Kingdom.

IC: The troops were adavancing on the capital (OOC: Dunno waht it's called). They'd arrive in about 20 minutes. A blockade is on it's way now, with 2 destroyers attacking every ship the British navy had. It should also take about 20-30 minutes to arrive. The troops encountered SAS men, who although are hopeless out numbered are putting up a good fight. An additional 300 infrantry are on their way by boat in an attempt to neutralise the AA guns.

IC:
The enemy troops had landed on the Island. Immediatly 8 F/A 28's sweapt over them dropping bombs left right and centre.
British soldiers were bravely holding the landing points of the Island. But they were being pushed back.
The Arsenal ships at sea were firing missiles both at the enemy bombers, but the the enemy cruisers two. Using Shipwreck missiles they were firing vast amounts into the enemy cruisers.
The British Navy Battleships were in range of the enemy. Turning on broadside they fired shell after shell into the enemy ships. As of yet the inferior enemy ships failed to make any mark.

Losses so far:
30 British soldiers (no SAS)

Peopleita your godmodding is starting to get on my nerves....

The additional troops having arrived, they split up around the coast, with a soldier attaching masses of plastic explosives and a timed mine to the AA guns, and two addtional troops armed with AK-47s or MP5s guarding them. The bombs were going off like fire crackers, either destroying the AA's or damaging them suffieciantly.

Losses, 25 bombers, 15 soldiers. OOC: Remeber that the bombers were part of the firs wave, and have dropped lots of bombs on military installation.

Seeing that the ships, were losing the battle, submariens were called in. The bombers starting to lose, they retreated. The soldiers who are attacking the AA's made sure to attack the ones that would be able to intercept the bombers first, so they should have a safe flight home. The other infantry are advancing further and further, fighting off the enemy soldiers. An additional 500 Argentine soldiers are currenlty on their way to paradrop to engage the enemy soldiers.

ok but slow things down from now on. Break up the parts of a attack. When you make a move let me respond before making another. And besides your bombers never reached the island before they met the fighters, so as of yet your bombers havent bombed any1 before they retreated. Your infantry however are on the beaches and trying to fight through to the Capital. You have raided two naval base, and using explosives destroyed 8 AA guns.
You havent attack the other bases yet.

General Bridges was commander of the Island.
"Sir they have captured 2 naval bases, and have been spotted destroying the AA guns." Said his aide
"We cant retake them. Hm Split our Army up. 300 soldiers to Air base Alpha and another 300 to Naval Base Bravo. The remaining 1000 are to guard the Capital (these are the last 3 significant parts of the Island). Call back the Bombers. Make sure they dont fortify their position, keep chucking bombs at them."

At sea:
The Arsenal Ships detected incoming submarines. Torpedoes were launched in their direction by all 5 ships, that were holding a close position....

losses:
400 soldiers, no SAS

The Submarines returned fire, but again being held off easeily.

The Paratroopers landed and immeadiatly engaged the SAS troops with grenades and gun fire. The men with explosives were begining to run out, but still had enough to disable approxamatly 2-3 AAs.

Losses 2 soldiers, 6 submarines

Wait will ya! Listen. Your paratroopers have to capture the other two bases/capital to destroy any more AA guns. Two get to these capitals they have to get past the AA guns.
Each base is walled and heavily guarded by small garrisons.
I need to go now. Say where you are attacking in future.

The Commandante is sending diplomats to Russia and the Arabian Peninsula in an attempt to form an allience beetween our nations.

OOC: Not a three way thing, it would be LASA-Russia and LASA-Arabian Peninsula, as opposed to LASA- Russia-Arabian Peninsula.

If it isn't to late, I would like to take Poland, Ukrain, and the half of former Czeckoslovakia in the east (my atlas is old, any help welcome). Backstory:

The Polo-Ukrainian Empire (Unamaginative, I know please,let me change it later) was created largely because of an unexpected wave of Polish nationalism in early 2009. Many imigrants, especially in Britain, were gripped by sudden homesickness, and left for their native land, sometimes illegally. A history of the Fall of the US and the rise of the Great Lakes Combine

2009: As several industrialized nations strain under crippling debt, rising fuel prices, and failing economies, the US was showing signs of weakness. A debt reaching nearly 10 trillion threatened to destroy the nation and its way of life. The new president moved to scale back every government program while keeping as many jobs as possible.

2010: While large portions of the debt were paid off, the US hit a large economic slump. All along the rust belt the majority of people are unemployed. Illinois is close to declaring bankruptcy, after reaching nearly 90 billion in debt due to a lack of federal funding for programs. Many other states are in similar but less pressing positions.

The collapse of the French government and others around the world causes fear that the same may happen in the US. The National Guard is called upon across the country to restore order in areas of unrest. Soup kitchens and other charities open up everywhere, though they are not enough to help the masses. The Dow Jones drops below 5,000.

2011: All military bases outside the US are closed down and all military personnel and equipment have returned to American soil. These actions started in 2009, with the scaling back of the military budget. Small conflicts erupt in areas where US troops left. Many troops return to find no jobs anywhere. The only jobs seemingly open are security for the rich and the police for stopping the wave of crime that is sweeping the nation.

2012: Wide-spread unrest cripples the nation further as the economy is in the toilet and corruption runs rampant through the federal administration. Several regional candidates for the president are barred from running due to technicalities. The unpopular president is re-elected in a heavily fixed election. Dow drops below 2,000 by year end.

2013: During the inauguration of the president, a nuclear bomb in detonated in Washington D.C. Most of the Legislative, Judicial and Executive are killed, and most of the federal infrastructure is destroyed. Several sections of the country break away, falling back upon regional leaders for support and leadership. The states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio create the Great Lakes Combine. Its first leaders were the governors of the states as well as a few surviving Congressmen from those states. They led from Chicago, where the Combine leadership still is today.

2014 - Current: The Combine abolished all debt currently standing, both for people and states. It nationalized all gas, electrical, and water companies and standardized all of their workings. Money was changed from the Dollar to the Trade Unit (TU). 20-25 Dollars (depending on the area) could be traded in for 1 TU. 1 TU was and still is equal to 1 meal or 5 gallons of gas.

The Combine invested in creation of ethanol and the increase of its efficiency. All vehilces in the Combine now run completely on ethanol, and few can run on gasoline anymore. The Combine also moved to create methane power plants, which power half the Combine alone and are able to sell power to surrounding areas. The Combine also removed corporate ownership of farms and allowed those that worked the land to own the land.

Labor and business laws were put in place to increase the well being of all. The minimum wage was replaced with a living wage, ensuring that all could survive. Companies and places of business had to be 51% owned by those that worked there (meaning anyone below regional administration), and no one in a company may be paid more than 5 times the highest-paid worker. All multinational companies were dismembered and reformed into regional companies.

Many factories that were failing or bankrupt at the formation of the Combine were nationalized and rebuilt. Half have since then been privatized, while the other half are used to make military hardware or other things needed for the country at large. The country has a problem of too few workers, which is causing a small rise in prices. It has been slowly paying off domestic debt, and is strongly against foreign debt unless it is absolutely necessary.

The current leadership of the Combine is one without an executive. In place is an administration split into many departments whos heads are picked by the legislative. The legislative is made up of two branches, the House and the Senate. Every state has 2 representatives in the Senate, and has 1 representative in the House for every 500,000 people in the state. Currently there are 10 Senators and 87 Representatives in the House. There is also a Judiciary which has 9 members and has always had atleast 1 member from each state, even though that is not a rule.

2011, India declares to the international community that it is in a state of national disaster, however the international community was not listening, they had enough of their own problems. So India’s Humanitarian Crisis, huge debts, and food crisis, went all but un-noticed but the outside world.
However, out of the ashes of the devastated country support grows enormously for a new style of government..... The people voted for a fascist government, The Indian Liberation Front with its leader being Ganaraj Mahesh. There was a new government in place by the end of 2013, a single party government.
The new government promptly begins rebuilding the ravaged nation, the economy begins a steady growth for the first time in five years, the government allowed private enterprise that was strictly regulated, the building up of the military, and unknown to the people, a new and strong surveillance network is set up. All the while the people were gaining more and more love for this new government, it was the dawn of a new age, and they loved their leader.
31st July 2016, the nation was horrified to wake up that morning and find out that Muslim extremists from neighbouring Pakistan had set off a large nuclear device in the heart of the nations Industrial City, Kanpur. 2,900,000 were estimated to of been killed. By 2026 Bangladesh, released they were in a worsening situation, they had no chance of recovery form the economic crisis, except for one solution; they looked towards their growing and successful neighbour. The Treaty Of Delhi - Dhaka 2027 completely merged Bangladesh into the newly formed Indistan, a complete and full assimilation.
From then onwards to the present day things continued well within Indistan, the economy was now growing in leaps and bounds, the military continued to grow, along with the population, and the surveillance of the people continued un-noticed. Indistan did however implement something new, a policy of near complete isolationism. They chose to remain in the British Commonwealth and chose to maintain strong links with the United Kingdom. However, they refused to talk to any nation outside of the Commonwealth; however, this does not mean to say they did not pay attention to the outside world. To the south and east, Italy unites with Sweden. Liechtenstein, small as it is, is annexed by this new coalition. The only constant in Europe seems to be Spain.

Now 2017. France's Rhineland has been slowly rebuilt and assimilated by Germany, and now the eastern quarter of the nation was under the German flag. Although some small pockets of French patriots still lingered and fought the German occupants, most of them had fled the region after the intial collapse of the French Republic. A prototypical German spaceship is involved in a freak accident and disappears, engine traces leading lightyears away. The ship is deemed lost, although it starts the German colony of Tannenmille on Sucello. 2.2 Sucellan years pass for each year that passes on Earth, and as such the process at which the German colony figures out how to obtain Faster-than-Light technology is twice as fast as the scientists researching the possibility on Earth.

In 2024, the German-Tannenmillians finally divine the secrets of FtL technology and prepare basic ships to return to Sol and the German Republic. The German government merges with the Tannenmillian government and becomes known as the New European Germany. Both in Germany and in Tannenmille scientists work on faster FtL technology and produce the YIG fighter, a high-tech atmospheric fighter ship that could climb to the lower levels of outer space. Almost all of France had been absorbed by Germany at this point, and there was much celebration throughout the nation(s) as the technology was revealed.

Finally, the year 2034 rolled around. The United States had finally fallen, and the European Union was soon to follow the States' fate. Germany's military power had waned but Tannenmille's had strengthened. Since the YIG had been invented, Tannenmillians had developed a new fighter, the more advanced and powerful ZIG atmospheric / prototype space fighter.

LASA troops are moving to all South American countries, including Easter Island and the Galapogos islands, in the same way as Chile and Uraguay. Again we have met no resitance, and a government has already been in place in most of the countries. All countries will have governments in them by this time tommorrow.

LASA forces are moving up through central America. However when they are nearing the capital of Panama, there is a surprise attack by about 150 anarchist rebels. 4 soldiers were killed, but the rebels, only armed with pistols, were pushed back. LASA would rather arrest them than kill them, so mre troops from Cuba are on there way to convince them.

In Panama, LASA troops suddenly see an Mi-17 transport helicopter -with full Russian insignias on its flanks, descend into the jungle. The rear ramp came down and a team of Spetsnaz special forces troops flushed out and began blocking the retreating rebels. The rebels, now sandwhiched between the LASA and Russian forces, have no where to go but to surrender. As soon as it was, the Spetsnaz arrested them and forced them into the helicopter, due for flight back to Federation soil. The Spetsnaz handed the leader of the LASA troops a note. Western Pennsylvania, New York Joining Combine as New Territories

CNC - Cleveland After long talks over many days, most of the towns from Pittsburg to Rochester has agreed to join the Combine. While dealings in Canada have faltered, those in the former US have become a beacon of hope for those that wish a return of civilization.

The poverty sticken Eastern European nations of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus has pleaded its Russian neighbour for economic aid. Russia has responded with arms wide open. The Commissar of Economics reports:

The four nations's economies have collapsed after the fall of the European Union. With no aid recieved from anyone, they felt neglected by the international community. 400,000 British forces have landed off the coast of Brazil. With them they have 400 F/A 24's and 200 F/A 26's that are on route to bomb any military estabilishments in the country of Brazil, as well as the main cities.
There are also a number of heavy tanks, modern day HUMVEE's and SAS troops that are parashooting and destroying significant parts of your infra-structure.
The troops begin progress to different cities in Brazil.

We warn the LASA: Any nuclear weapons fired upon any nations will mean we will have to turn the LASA countries into one big mushroom clouds. While your country is yet to use nuclear weapons, we have a extensive nuclear weapons defence system + 100's of different Nuclear weapons. We are unafraid to use them.

LASA has replied with this statement, directed at all offensive countries:

The British troops met 900,000 troops waiting for them, and were being held back. The Tanks were being attacked with other Tanks and anti-Tank guns, controlled by some soldiers. The conscripts were no match for the excellently trained British forces.

The British forces made good progress through the country side, marching in a number of convoys scattered across the country. Where they met resistance, the enemy were ruthlessly cut down.
The British Air force were dropping bombs all across the the Brazilian country. With little to oppose these, the Brazilian soldiers were cut down.

Field Marshal Swift was pleased with the progress they were making.
Like most modern forces when attacking a foreign country, there forces were scattered, moving in one long line. The bombardment reports suggested most of the enemy barracks, air fields etc had been bombed to ashes.

As of yet they had met little resistance. The Brazilian forces had obviously brought together a large force, but this just made it easier to bomb their ground forces.

Ignoring Salvador, the British forces were marching towards Brasilia.
As of yet a large amount of Militia forces had attacked (Conscripts), but they were poorly armed and trained. They had launched a total of 12 attacks on the British bases constructed in the country, but they had been pushed back with ease.
10 Tank divisions made its way to Brasilia. Finally as they were in range of the city, they fired shell after shell into it.
The British Bombers dropped shells into the large city.

We do have large military, we have all of Spanish speaking Americas Air, navy and infantry combined. And you can't have slaughtered us, we have more than twice your forces attacking you, not to mention civilain resistance. 300 infantry is a joke your troops may be better trained but they're not that good.

1. The British army is the best trained army in the world.
2. We are a 1000 times better equipped than you.

4. This cant be your whole army of LASA. this at most should be 20%, the rest are in your other countries.

Resistance is futile. Your armies can be as large as they want but it does not substitute well armed, well trained and well lead forces who attacked you with Surprise. You made the fatal mistake of not gathering your forces in time to form a decent defence. Instead you launched an all out attack on our forces.

And yes the British army in the year 2034 is by far the best trained, my state largely did not fall to anarchy, just a few bombs and a change in leadership.

We also have alot of armoured vehicles, than would quite frankly destroy you.

OOC:ok, maybe 2000 is a bit much, but 200 is still reasonable, since this is the future and the starting condition was that Russia is the presently most powerful in this game. Ok, if it suits you, then i'll pull that number back to 200.

As for the South East Asian islands, i admit thats a bit outrageous, but the islands are mostly interconnected and quite small with small armies. Anyway, i'll just make it so that only indonesia is invaded.

Ak47s are actually quite efficient and easy to maintain. -Though a bit old, they are simple and easy to use. Quite powerful too with the 7.62 round.. certainly does considerably more damage than the 5.56 on the M4's. They are actually claimed to be the best all round gun of all time, as the M4's tend to jam more if not cleaned often. Add to the fact that its probably the cheapest decent gun.

Some mistakes were made and now they're corrected, so i hope no one else is offended

The size of the armed forces is expected to grow with the announcement that all umemployed males under the age of 65 will be conscripted into the army. Despite our current conflict, we wish to assist Indistan in capturing the various oil countries of the Middle East. With a combined effort we could secure oil for our two nations for many years to come.
