*GANN News Desk Special Alert*

GANN News Desk: ~ We come with news of dire import. Apparently at 1531 Hours Local System Time, on the planet Sien Prime, the vehicle carrying the Ladies Excellencies Tsunami and Jennifer, with daughter Isarra and Lady Excellency Arashi's daughter Sirrana, was apparently made upon of some kind of assassination attempt, hit by a bomb of somekind as they passed along a heavily traveled primaryway on a family excursion on planet.

On scene medical staffs indicate over fifty-seven were killed, two hundred and fourteen, though the vehicle targeted managed to avoid the worst of the blast when apparently another hovervehicle took the brunt. Still the driver was killed and the royals listed in serious but stable condition.

His Excellency is enroute as we speak, and Security Forensics are currently investigating the scene to find the culprit. Considering the numerous enemies the Ascendancy has made, any culprit could be possible. Internal dissent is highly unlikely, but not ruled out.

Again, a bomb apparently was detonated at....

Secret IC: A tight, tight security cordon and lockdown of all communication nodes other than the news broadcasts, is soon enforced once droid units specially made for the rather matter of factly eventuality of an event like this, finds the source material, and make a strong 87.3 percent likelihood of source.

When Aleaic eventually finds out after he arrives...

....the United Mankind is doomed.

A coded message was sent to the Gaian government:

This is Admiral Trife from the Humankind Abh. We have received word of the asassination attempt in your empire. I regret to inform you that we intercepted a communication from the United Mankind detailing the layouts for the attack. I am sorry to say that we discovered them too late. In accordance with the actions that have followed, I have brought my entire fleet to see to your safety while you regain composure on the planet surfaces. We shall remain here at your discretion. Admiral Trife of the Seventh fleet, out.

The flagship, Keldeij, anchored the fleet off the nearest planet and began establishing an orbiting space station to break up the monontiny of Space life.

A Concordiat probe detected the news broadcasts, and a trio of battlecruisers appeared in space near Sien Prime, responding to the news, and to what apparently was a blatant assault by some faction or another on the Gaian Ascendancy.

The three battlecruisers flashed a message to the surface of the planet, directed at the nearest oriented reciever.

|We are units of the Survey Forces of the Concordiat. We have heard the broadcast, and, due to relations currently between our nations, we have arrived to lend any assistance possible. When you find out what use we would be, send it on attached frequency. Survey Force 113 out.|

Maester Seymour was now takeing over in many ways as the voice of Neo Zeta and Yevon he spoke out and in a way for these attacks.

We are sad to hear of such a attempt was taken on these people. We pray for the souls of the dead and for the recovery of the injured. If the Gaian Ascendancy however took steps to end such a pointless war. A war that only has a Goal to aid in one side conquaring and imposeing its will. Such wars are pointless. If such a War wasnt going then such things could be avoided.

Maester Seymour spoke agianst the attacks but fell short of condeming them. He said the Gaians have but them selfs in this type of situation but came short of saying they got what was comeing to them. His motives and views are unclear at best.

OOC: And thats all i think i will have to do with this Thread. I dont see in reason or need for me to send ships or anything. Seeing as i am in no shape to do so anyway.

At the moment, the immediate message sent is...

:: ~ We accept the offers given, though in the end, only a small area and few souls were victims. In the end, all can be recovered through our technologies, so the 'physical' damage is 'fixable' and 'repairable'.

The honor done however, due to this cowardly attack, is another matter.

One we intend to resolve ourselves in a expediant manner. We ask all nations to lend assistance in mainly information forays, or to continue verbal support in this moment where an external party thought us weak and immoral, corrupt to the knees.

We have another result in mind.

Meanwhile, Aleaic, Arashi, Aleaic's parents, as well as much of the Council, all arrive on Sien, and very quickly make their way to the Med-Center where his personal family are held.

Aleaic is deeply shaken by what he sees. His wives and daughters in Gene-Refab units, rather than Med-beds. "That bad?" ..he immediately says with his first weak breath.

A Tech replies.. "Second degree burns and heavy lacerations all over 3/4ths of their bodies. And that was even despite not taking the full brunt. They arrived in such a state, that only the Units here kept them alive. They'll live of course, but it'll be about two weeks to be safe. There was spinal and organ damage to account for as well.

I... would give them three weeks my Lord."

Aleaic silently nods, the entire immediate area is a silent tomb, save the sounds of the equipment in operation.

Aleaic then takes a great deal of time to go to each Unit at least twice, and eventually, Arashi and the others as well. For hours this went on, until Lady Funaho is called away, and in short term, returns with the messages and collected forensics data, as well as the messages the Abh had sent, are soon relayed to Aleiac and everyone else in hearing.

Aleaic simply decides on Clan Honor, before anything else. As far as he was concerned, it 'all' fell under dictates of honor now.

But before anything else, he looks at Arashi, and then heads over to each Unit, and says the exact same thing.

"I will find resolution, our way. Forgive me."

Aleaic then decides to ask his military and intel advisors to come with him.

--

Twenty-four hours later, the following message is sent.

:: ~ Those allies that sent assistance to us, I ask for those representatives to come to the Palace Tree for a short declaration of intent. I come so that there is no mistake of what is going to happen for the next three weeks.

I am sorry, but there is a reason I say I am of the Balance. Now all will know the darkest of all sides of this. Come, and thy all will know the truth.

Imperial Regards,

Lord Excellency Aleaic Saloam Kerensky

Admiral Trife's chief of staff relayed the message to him. "Ready the Kalikay chief of staff Kayhul, we are going down to the planet to meet with the Gaians."

Kayhul looked up from the layout of the fleet formation "We ?"

Trife gave a wry grin. "Yes you are going with me. I would at least like some sort of entourage."

Kahyul replied a little sarcastically "It will be my honor."

*FACAF Palace War Center*

Aleaic stood in a familar place, darkly looking at the tactical readouts and strategic data being relayed from the over one thousand reconnisance sorties ordered in the past three hours into nearby sectors of the United Mankind, Soverign Union and Alcont territories not yet taken in the war, one the United Mankind 'graciously' started in the first place.

Aleaic was utterly disgusted with the lack of honor, poor tactics, dispicable treatment of even their own citizens, and more, that he should 'not' have been suprised that the UM would conduct such a cowardly act.

So Aleaic had finally decided that it was time to assert his anger and hatred to the fore for once, and end one war once and for 'all'.

His subordinates kept a clear distance for once. The normally amiable Excellency was 'not' present, replaced with a furious Emperor that would not be morally dissuaded from his course of action by anyone.

He waited until all the outside delegations arrived, so that he would say up front what would happen. The Ascendancy would be adding another title to it's myriad of versions claimed by outside nations, either to deride or look upon, and this time, Aleaic had 'no' reservations about such a name.

...invader and conquerer. Pure as it can be said.
The Humankind Abh

Admiral Trife and Major Kayhul finally found where his Excellency Aleic was waiting for them.

Both gave a curt bow upon meeting him. "Your Excellency, I am Admiral Trife and this is Major Kayhul from the seventh fleet. I would like to express our condolinces and our sympathy. If you are ready, I believe we can finally wipe the United Mankind from the face of space. It is clear to me that they are becoming increasingly desparate. Never have they tried to use sneaky tactics such as these and we are to them, the greatest evil and enslaver of mankind. I must say that it appears that this travesty is our fault."

03-08-2005, 00:52
Aleaic looks over at Admiral Trife and Major Kayhul for a slight moment, his arms folded rigid. He then breaks out of this pose, and then takes a few steps towards the Abh commanders, and then places a straight arm right hand on Admiral Trife's left shoulder.

"Nay, the fault is ours for now seeing this possibility. And as for the United Mankind..." ..he then pulls away and then cranes his head towards a vast holo-display of the Milky Way Galaxy, and the highlighted sections of the several major empires there.

"...the more perverse term to use here, in Borg terminoligy, would be rather to 'assimilate' the United Mankind into our fold. Better to find the true cause of this event so directly, by having 'all' of the enemy in our grasp." ..Aleaic puts in a rather scary tone. The short silence immediately after seems even 'scarrier'.

Trife and Kayhul both turned their attention to the halo maps. If either one was surprised or frightened by Aleaic's tone, they didn't show it.

Trife studied the chart carefully...

"Our forces can position themselves here..." points to a few nearby sords leading deep into the UM territory... "The outlying ones here and here were secured during Operation Hunter Flame. They should allow us to strike deep within their territory."

Major Kayhul pipes in..."But it also depends on what his Excelleny intends to do. Does he plan on making this a joint operation or are we striking in a penser movement and we shall be on our own? If that's the case, then I would advise the Admiral to not so boldy strike deep. If we do strike so deep but are cut off, then we will likely be annhilated."

Trife looks at his Chief of Staff... "You never hesitate to criticize my plans."
Gaian Ascendancy
03-08-2005, 03:24
Aleaic is told via aides of the arrival of ONI Concordant and the message from New Dornalia, and then informs. "Have any newcomers come directly here please."

He then responds to the Abh battleplan offer with a few strides over to the holo-display table, and hits a few glass-light buttons hovering over the console.

The map of the areas designated United Mankind, Soverign Union and Republic of Alcont, the three major factions against the Abh from the start, the fourth, the Hania Federation is 'not' highlighted.

..the highlight in the same coloration as the Ascendancy one set in the Archonis Supercluster, displayed in relitave space-distance cartography. Aleaic then informs..

"The three nations allied in the war against us, the Sicily Compact Defense Treaty I believe they called it, the United Mankind, Alcont and Sovereign Union, amasses at around 731 remaining major planetary systems, and about 3,483 non-standard systems of dead, resource, and miscellaneous nature.

It is my intention, with the resources and military power harnessed from rebuilding and beefing up of all our assets in preparation of the Counterinvation against the Dark Eternals, to use all that as a 'parctice' invasion, of which there is cause, for us to invade the entire territory of all three nations at once.

In three weeks, the three nations will no longer exist in name, and become our new territories in the Milky Way Galaxy. I already ordered all FACAF Commands to finalze on the spot preparations for the invasion to begin in 76 hours from now.

And believe me, I intend to see this entire endeavor through to conclusion. The United Mankind, is finished." Aleiac says with a terrible tone of the dark.

"Abh forces will concentrate on securing the Sords amid major worlds and systems, as well as secure major travel and trade lanes for any escaping forces that 'may' manage to escape our very deep and extensive nets.

In return, the Abh will retain exclusive control of the Sords and all space in the captured territories, while we gain control over the planets themselves. All resources and trade will be further equalled afterwards when the situation is declared stable."

Aleaic then turns hard at the Abh commanders before him. "Make no mistake, this 'can' be done, this is all small beans compared to the war with the Dark Etnerals in the first place, and in the last place, I will infer Clan Code over this as justification. No word will disuade me, and no force can prevent this.

It will end in three short weeks, and the Ascendancy way of life will put stability and a sense of COMMON sense back in their hearts and minds.

THAT will assure than all the appropriate signals and messages are sent, as to how far I take seriously, the honor and lives of my family, 'not' to mention being sanity back to an area of space that has far too long been under foot of paranoia.

This is my command to my forces, and my message to you my allies. 'We' will brunt the major part of the operation, and you will help see a new dawn for the Milky Way Galaxy.

Any further operational time tables you wish to inform us from your High Command will be most helpful in the plan of assault. But there will be 'no' information passed outside this room, except over Ascendancy specially coded frequencies. When the time comes, 'I' will inform all properly.

And if 'this' is doubted, security wise, know that this room is technicaqlly already existing in a phasic bubble in subspace, one that communication externally is dealt with only through our own systems.

Trust me. When the time comes, 'no' one outside those being told in here, and your specific high commands, will know better until the time is right."

Aleaic then strides over to near the Abh. "Trust me. 'No' detail is overlooked, and this 'will' end this war once and for 'all'."

"We understand the battle plan. We would like to know what part our somewhat fragmented and nearly-useless fleet could play?"

Aleaic considers thoughtfully, and then offers.. "You could either help assault and secure minor side systems near the United Mankind Capital star system, and send a small fleet force with our own SpecOps and take control of defense platforms near the capital planet itself.

Afterwards, security and humanitarian aid will be a tatamount priority to quell dissent and panic. That would occur as soon as any world of secured. There would also be need to find 'any' escapees of the United Mankind military if any manage to escape our overall assault."
The Humankind Abh
03-08-2005, 03:51
Trife considered the battle layout.

"This is a well conceived plan. However there are a few things to bring to your attention. One is supply lines. With being stretched so far, we need to make sure that they are secured. The tricky thing with Sords is that they lead to any sord so that doesn't not rule out an attack from the back. Each sord would have to be thoroughly guarded.

Another things is that this is going to take an enormous amount of manpower. Our ships will no doubtedly amount in the millions and this will take just about every available commander we have. A force so large would not have been mustered since the battle at Aptic. The loyalty of everyone system will be greatly tried during this time and we may come home to some rebellions. Although I am not that worried about it. We will leave all ground forces behind to take care of such matters.

Our fleet is currently going through renovations with the input of other nations' technology and the Empress's personal knight is currently off fighting in Neo Zeta so that will leave us short a commander...."

Trife thinks about the scale of the battle...

"It seems you will have every member of the Star Forces available to you. That doesn't leave much in the way of protecting our Capital. That is no concern though. Our Empire will be ready to move as soon as you are ready. It appears we will have to go back to the old days for a bit... but I hope not."

Gaian Ascendancy
03-08-2005, 04:06
Aleaic reacts back with.. "You are thinking too three-dimensionally. Manpower and such considered, the numbers would still overwhelm the skill and technology of the target nations. More, they 'won't' be expecting an invasion of this scale, and in so doing, all forces will become local to the invaded system, incapable of supporting any other system.

More, we will be deploying six of our Dimensional Fortresses, with our own millions of troops, both droid and genetic, and a great deal of military forces, that the utter shock and awe will limit almost all major threats of dissenstion.

We will blanket the area at the moment we invade, upon all three nations, communication blackout drones that will operate for three hours until after all forces invade. After, the defending fleets and assets will be captured, and all organized command and control severed among all major worlds.

Abh forces will only be away for a short time, as to secure as mentioned, the Sords, and the only major way to escape the invasion. Abh forces contact with the enemy will be limited. And be assured, we 'have' the forces needed to shut down as much as ninety-eight percent of the defending fleets within ten hours of battle.

We also have the ground forces needed to secure the major cities using shock assaults and other tactics many nations know we already employ. The scale is indeed immense enough to know that in three weeks, we will be not need the presence of Abh forces in great strength.

Plus, we will use Ionics to take control of as much of the present defensing forces, and make them into Ascendancy fleet forces and militas. We have many things as said, already in mind.

And thanks to the Draconis Federation, 'that' iota has been factored in as well, if any outside nation tries to help the enemy. They won't get in enough to make it worthwhile bothering."

"We regret that a Civil War is currently being fought. However, the Reserve, as well as most of the Core fleet, is quite intact. In addition, the war is very much won. It is simply a matter of mopping-up.

"In any case, our Sentiences have no other purpose to existance but War. And we accept your offer. We will assault minor systems, and the XVII Survey Force, with four battlecruisers capable of cloaking, and a superdreadnought-transporter.

"Is slagging a planet from orbit acceptable? Or will ground-assault transports have to be included in our Fleet make-up for the first time in eight centuries?"

Aleaic rubs his chin, and then considers... "If Concordiat forces can expand their operations to assist the Abh, allowing them to retain more forces to guard their home territories, then security and operational efficency can be maintained.

We will be bearing the brunt of the invasion anyways. And 'no' slagging will be allowed. I want all the assets and systems taken intact, so as to turn them to our needs within one year after capture.

Use ground forces ONI. It will be practice if you wish to participate in the Counterinvasion, since all this is precursor to 'that'."
The Humankind Abh
03-08-2005, 04:39
Trife turned over to Aleaic... "If it would suit the both of you, my forces can focus on superiorty in space while ONI will make up the ground forces where needed. If it's practice you are worried about, then by all means allow them to fight the ground battles. If superiorty in the air is needed on the surface, then some of our ships can be retrofitted to accomodate for the changes."

Aleaic nods. "Very well. But it would behoove to call on additional allies to help in secondary force support and security. Not so much to help us in the invasion, but to help foster quicker stability afterwards and gain quicker access to open markets in the conquered territories.

The more that assist, the more that profit, and the more stability in the new acquisitions will be secured."

"That's fine. They can be in charge of securing everyone's supply routes."

He squares himself to Aleaic...

"The rest of this war is personal and I know you feel the same way but remember that we have been at this war for many years. That is not to say we trivialize your involvment, we just prefer to take care of this ourselves along with anyone that has had similar attacks made on them."
Gaian Ascendancy
03-08-2005, 05:13
Aleaic nods yet more. "Then you will want to have several of your best fleets present to attack the capital systems of UM, Alcont and Sovereign Union. The manner beyond what has been said so far, for tactical doctrine and strategic planning, will be in your hands.

Just ensure we know the battleplans you wish to adopt and all forces in position at the moment we attack. It will happen furiously fast."

Aleaic walks over to the holo-table once more, and then imparts.. "Have the supplies limited to no more than one month of overall war, set in two major waves, the first to accompany the invasion fleets at the same time as they attack.

This is what the Ascendancy will do, and we will add a third wave to suppliment all allied fleets and forces in case there are troublesome pockets, in which case, overwhelming forces will be shifted from pacified sectors to overcome these trouble areas with no reservation. In fact Ascendancy forces will hold a quarter of our forces as our reserves, since only a bare 3/10ths is needed for this operation to work anyways.

Also, all allied forces will be supplied with additional Ionic support weaponry to conduct the invasion on our terms. I want all UM, Alcont, and Sovereign vessels and assets taken as intact as possible. After most of the population is given the freedoms 'and' the teachings of the Ascendancy way, I suspect many will slowly come over to our side. In ten years, there will be no dispute of any kind left.

Course by then, the Dark Eternals will be the target anyway, and 'that' will assuredly unite the nations like nothing else can. By then, the glories of what we offer will draw many to our banner.

OOC: Just a brief passthrew.

IC: Neo Zetas forces were still fully intact in UM systems they had taken. They were growing upset that The Gaians and Abh were leaving them out of this plan fully.

Seymour laughs " They dont even give us a heads up. Our spys had to get this information."

Weyoun nods " Yes sir it would seemt hey are leaving us out. It would be safe to say the terrtory we are in controle of will remain ours."

Seymour laughs " Let them plan..... We will get planets from this."

Weyoun looks at thim and says " How my lord?"

Maester Seymour smiles " Young Doron.....He will be able to get us what he wants. As he will soon be a Maester of Yevon. Yevon's power is his. There for he will expand it however he can."

Weyoun looks at a map of the UM and her allies " And if it dosnt work?"

Maester Seymour smiles " The People right after being beat will be ripe for someone to look to. Yevon will be that force. We will take in whoever manges to flee. In time we will get them to rise up in a Holy War to drive the infidals out...... But i would like to avoid meaningless deaths if need be. All we really want is a two planets of our choice to spread Yevons Teachings..... More peacful then any Gaian or Abh way of life."

This was setting the stage for a power play. It seems the Abh are the power in this region. The Nation the Abh are most close to will gain the most from this. The Players going for the Abh's Friendship be it threw peacful means or War were Yevon,The Gaians and The Majin Emperor. The ones with the only real chance being Yevon or The Gaians. However Young Doron was one of the Heirs to the Throne and Yevon would do anything for him to be Emperor........anything.

OOC: Sorry for the worm in if you will. Just thought i would make my nations position on this. Seeing as we controle some of the UM Systems. At least allow us to fight our own way and tend to the government of each planet as we see fit."

Major Kahyul, a bit more reasonable than the hot headed admiral, tries to calm him down. "Your Excellency, you must see it from our point of view. Your people must not know what it is like to be in a UM P.O.W camp. Search your history texts and you will not find worse treatment anywhere in a prison camp than the UM. Surly it would be suitable if you fight them in your own ways and allow us to do so in ours. It would not be wise to force an army that has fought a certain way for many years, then all of sudden make them change tactics. We don't even have technicians qualified to oversee such modifications."

Aleaic quite harshly retorts vehemously to this. "I will 'not' be sat down to listen to semantics of the events others have endured. And what part of 'we will be fighting the brunt' eludes you all?

You are MORE than aware of our war against the Deatharons well over a decade past, and our power there. We had overwhelming superiority, and despite lethal defenses, used these same Ionics THEN as well!

We have the technology to recover most dead. My citizen souls know all too well what instability means, and I know full well that our own forces outman and outgun all three nations by at least four to one!

On equal level par ship to ship, we pasted the UM every single encounter, and this will end no less. It was 'us' that conducted Operation Banner Star and trapped several major Fleet Groups in a vice that we very soon after, turned the vessels and resources captured to better ends.

You see war as where 'only' death can reign.

I see war in an entirely different manner. And knowing what my forces can fully do, I can not only have the luxury of conducting battle where the enemy sees less than four percent physical casualties, with less than six percent assets destroyed, I can better more plan the utter Ionization of entire worlds, and still plan for thw worst, know we don't 'have' to use such.

And mind you, we nearly have been obliterated as a civilization not once, but three times now. The Dominion, GE and then Dark Eternals taught us the meaning of annihalation very well.

Sorry, but you words are limited. We will demonstrate why, with no insult intended, but every intention of teaching. This is a rare war, one your historians better keep focal track of.

I intend to see almost ninety-eight percent of the UM, Alcont and Soverign Union territories taken not only intact, but populations very quickly turned to our way of life in a relatively short year-term order."

Aleaic turns away sharply from the others, and imparts. "This will more likely be the last war we fight against a very certainly inferior enemy. History held aside, we then intend to assimilate their cultures into our own, with very little need to even bother with things like war crimes trials, other than where is obvious and necessary.

The 'camps' you inferred of, are on that slight iota to deal with afterwards mind you. We are not 'that' blind."

Aleaic then fully faces and challenges the Abh directly. "And I am certain that your technology allows for more than enough accuracy to target engines and drive units, avoiding wanton death where 'not' needed. The dead you have will see treatment in our Gene-Refab Units all the same, so your losses would not remain so for very long.

And more, this is more than just tactics to us. It's a challenge, one no one else bothers to consider. Battle where you 'allow' you enemy to live after the fact, even at the risk of your own, especially when you know you can win. If such is considered, then there is the aftermath of battle and war to consider.

Would it not be better to allow the enemy to live, knowing they should be dead, but were allowed to live to learn from their experiences, and return to their families and lives they 'wanted' in the first place? All mortal fear death, and fight knowing that death takes away from another. That death creates a cycle of hate that takes too long, and far too much blood to fade.

...and that, knowing that one can break that cycle, and see enemies live, knowing the truth, and knowing they can live long peaceful lives afterwards, with family and friends, breaking a cycle of death and entropy in a way no true bloodletting war ever could.

This is not idealisim, we have this in practice. And only the Dark Eternals at the present time are exempt. When the times comes, even 'they' will know our ability to spare life, and know the lessons that come with."

Aleaic turns away, and then growls and rips into the air in a LOUD tone.. "DO NOT mistake us as a normal nation with normal rules, expecting to see everything as the normal way.

NOT when we can break ever rule, and create a way that no other can ever dream of, yet one we CAN create physical." Aleaic lowers his tone. "We can create war that is abominable, yet still survivable in the near nigh garrauntee. We can bring the dead back to life. We can see enemies become friends with little impune to peg history and ego as excuse to hold such back.

We can create a universe where TRUST means a goddess-damn! I swear my life on it!"

Aleaic finally stops, several of his own citizen souls listening intently. And wipes his face, and then offers. "I cannot dictate how the Abh will conduct their own battle. If they feel they must kill to create combat justification, so be it.

But I suggesst the Abh, and EVERYONE else that watches this invasion, learn how to conduct war 'our' war, for we see mercy in war, where few others can. We 'choose' to be this way, and that is why I am so damn proud of my people. We could have easily taken the nominal path.

But we took this one. And it wasn't simply 'me' that ordered it. It took the loyalty and trust of my citizen souls to make this all a reality. Now you will all see the dance of war in our light. Get used to it, for we will be this way for centuries upon Eons. Ages of history untold of yet, will remain as such, and I will be DAMNNED if that ever changes."

Aleiac finishes the meeting and starts to head out, but says as a last. "We can be vicious conquerers if we wish, but we need not resort to bloodletting to meet our goals all the same. There is 'no' honor in genocide on any scale.

We 'can' sacrifice our lives to save an enemy life, if that in the end makes the hate die. And as I said, the invasion begins in...."

Aleaic looks at a chronometer. "...one hundred and seven hours, thirty-four minutes and twenty-eight seconds. Shall we now?" ..and he departs with a bows of his head, and then heads back towards his personal chambers.

For one hour, no more or less, he secludes himself and cries for the loves he saw injured so. He also cries for the hate in his soul for what he just decided to do. He 'does' feel guilt for what he does, and for what will happen.

At the end of that hour however, not one additional tear is shed for anything. After that, he assumes the mantle and mindset of a Clan ilKhan. For him, the war and invasion already started.

The Corvette ignores the 'praise' and such, and then quickly shoots into the atmosphere, and rather than land, instead teleports a packet literally into the hands/lap of Maester Seymour himself. Then the vessel Fold jumps while still in the atmosphere, and leaves quickly.

In the packet is information attesting to 'exactly' what the Dominion wants, short of interference of any kind in the coming invasion, even making a terse warning against open signals of even a third or fourth party source type deal, that would alert the enemy of what is coming.

After, the Gaians leave the Dominion to take the systems they so wish, as long as it's not inside the invasion secrtors the Ascendancy is going to use.

This treatment is very cool and buisiness like, lacking much decorum. The Ascendancy has no time for flanting of any kind now. Only a near-Borg type efficency exists now at the moment, a near droid-mechanical kind.

Seymour gose over the information and sighs.

" How dare they think we wish for any systems. I guess Doron will have to be called apone to aid us."

Weyoun nods " My lord i will see to it"

The Crusaders readyed incase they do have to do somthing. They were like Jem'Hadar in many ways. They do not fear death for Yevon will return them or if they have done a great deed they will be welcomed into hevan. Very few things would allow a mortal to not fear his death. Fighting for a holy cuase is one of them.

Seymour did not have to signal the enemy. In recent new releses it was in a under handed way stated if the UM and her allies ever fell their leaders and exiles could always ask for sancuary in the Yevon Temples. Tho these were week old and Yevon knows if they ever read them. The UM press was always busy with the war news. But if it came to it Yevon would take them in.

*105 Hours later*

The Ascendancy began it's inital assault two hours early, when Comm-Null drone probes started Folding all 'over' the entire nations of the United Mankind, Soveriegn Union and Alcont territories.

In devistatingly short order, communications of all kinds were literally shut down cold, with hundreds of light-years of space suddenly null and void.

Meanwhile, SpecOps teams in thousands of Beta Shuttles, were Fold Jumped with light warship escort, literally on top of hundreds of defense platforms and communication nodes, any command and control structure that could be taken within quick order. The Angel Gods were yet once more immensely efficent in dispatching the shock suprised enemy crews and defenders, as even the capital worlds were no less affected.

And then, on top of this, hundreds of close quarter dimensional wormholes were suddenly beginning to appear near every single major instalation and fleet concentration of all three nations, while hundreds of JumpShips began to appear at the edge of all 731 targeted star systems, when the thousands more minor scale systems getting a pair of JumpShips each, all these containing the first wave of supplies, positioned well outside attack vectors. Any stations near the Oort clouds of the systems were quickly taken down by the SpecOps operations taking place.

Within fifteen minutes, utter confusion suddenly reigned over all three nations in their entirety.

As the Ascendancy predicted, individual commands with no command control to direct them, began to form and head toward the 'nearest' enemy points, even though they had no true picture of what was fully happening.

When the first major Ascendant and Gaian warship and crystalship Fleet Legions began to appear and detonate StarJel and Ionic weaponry on scales that eclisped entire moons, the local consenscous soon caught up.

That was 'also' shattered when the first A-SSDs began to appear, and actively charged up their superlasers for pinpoint planetary surface strikes, their effect and target both a suprise, and a shock.

Thus the first moments of the war began with the largest scale of shock and awe ever seen.

Trife narrows his eyes and gritts his teeth... "Then perhaps why you have been nearly annhilated some many times is because you show such 'mercy'. You may govern the planets that you conquer however you wish and we will not say either way but we shall conduct those planets that fall to us as we see fit. Therefore we shall fight as we see fit!"
----------------------------------------

In accordance with their battle plans, a large scale Abh attack force set out to begin their attacks on the scheduled sords.

Admiral Bebaus, Mulef, and Wakapel begin their invasion of the Borasch system. Mobile suits were dispatched to deal with clearing the command towers that orbited the planets while heavy fighters dispatched any defense satellites. TheSankakau anchored near the sord relaying commands to the entire fleet. As soon as it was secured and a territorial ambassador was appointed, they would move deeper in the UM territory

Admiral Spoor, Atosuryua, and Kalef simultaneously attacked Sord within the dominion of Alcont. Fair warning was given to the systems of Hanya as they had to pass through some of their sords to get into enemy territory. Strong fortificatiosn were met upon entering Alcont and the order was given from Spoor to fire the electromagnetic rifles and to not stop. With Spoor's tactics of ruthlessly exploiting any weakness, the second Prong made excellent gain into enemy territory capturing planet after planet.

Meanwhile, Marshal Rose Torusumi ran into the Gaian HQ. Carrying papers and holding her hat on her head in a clumsy manner, she ran in, saying, "Sorry I'm late!"

She took a seat and said, "I am Rose Torusumi, Marshal of the New Dornalian Red Army. Our Expeditionary Force is authorized to conduct war against enemy forces, though I am to retain general contorl of New Dornalian forces, I am to take suggestions on deployment."

She then said, "I'd just like to let you know that the idea I heard coming in, taking of enemy installations and property whole, is acceptable. We do have resources for this effort. One thing though-what intellegence do we have?"
------

Two fleets were moved into place for this effort. Consisting of 60 Mao Zedong IIa's, 40 Zaitsev ISD's, 50 Prochkhorovka Fleet Carriers, 35 Relay Mobile Suit Carriers, and other ships for supply and carrying of troops were assembled. Elements of the People's Guardians were to be deployed for the first time. The saner regiments were deployed, mainly the Carlsson and MacDonald Regiments (OOC: Lost the chapter list), along with elements of the Kol'tssein Lizardmen and human and Abhuman formations. With the highest efficency, they moved in line, deploying and waiting for the signal to begin the "liberation" of the United Mankind, and to bring the might of Socialism to them.

It was Lord Azusa that met the New Dornalian representative, on the forward HQ, that being a Space Palace Tree, with two A-SSDs and thousands of reserve vessels with it, holding station just outside the United Mankind Capital System, where by now, thousands of supply JumpShips were deployed.

He listened to Marshal Torusumi, and replied. "Have them deploy to capture border systems where Ascendancy forces are tacticaly weaker, mainly to prevent as much as possible, escaping local nationals that would give us insurgent problems.

When this invasion ends, the war will end, as will any attempt to dislodge us. If you understand my meaning."

Azusa indicated a string of three systems that ran opposite of the Abh invasion coridoor, along a sliver of territory where the UM and Soverign Union technically 'met' at the border.

--

Aleaic meanwhile was on his Flagship A-SSD the Eternal Destiny, and had the capital world of the United Mankind square in his sights.

":: Charge capacitors at eighty-seven percent. Stabilizers are set and forward arcs towards the planet are clear of Ascendancy vessels. ::"

Aleaic reponds to the overcomm by personally taking console command of the nine Superlasers, the vessel aimed 'dead' at the planet. This was something he wanted to do himself.

"Prepare for firing effect shockwave."

All around him, the Ascendancy fleets were using all their assets to Ionizise the enemy into a long slumber, personnel and vessels alike. The invasion ratio here alone was 2.5:1, about 2:1 around ever other major planet and system, in assault verses defense forces. No worse than 1.5:1 however at any system invaded.

He knew that this very same operation was being conducted around seventeen major planets at the same time, and here the assault was ready as well. Everything infact was linked to his personal systems, and forty-one A-SSDs would fire on 'his' personal command.

And that time was now. ":: Optimum charge set. Systems all green. ::"

Aleaic then seethes. "And thy hand of vengance flicks." ..and a single emphatic push of a holo-button, and his foward view out of Command Core saw the joining of line MAJOR beams of Ionic light, as the Superlasers, refitted for mass planetary Ionization, took 0.81 seconds to focal fire, and then launched out towards the planet.

A normal superlaser does the obvious. Destroyed planetary crusts, boil oceans and atmospheres, the usual. The Ascendancy version here was literally fitted as the single largest Stun beam ever used in the current era. The beams are triple reflection charged to act as a washing beam of energy upon impact, which it quickly does so. The beam then 'lances' through the planet, as well as wash like a immense bucket of water over the whole planet.

Only mere isolated chances see citizens on the planets 'not' get the stun effect of their lives. Other than the unfortunate chance on a scaffold or such, every other soul on each planet targeted is stunned out cold. This makes entire cities and military bases, and only again the bare 0.000000931 percent change of not being stunned outright, that bare otherwise then is washed with a retroactive reflection wave that assures the effect is solid.

In five minutes, the entire planetary population for the nigh most part, is alive, but utterly knocked out cold for seventy-two hours at least. That means planetary ground defense is pointless. The Ascendancy forces literally will walk in and take the planets without firing a shot.

In space, the UM, Alcont and Sovereign Fleets see this and fight with mixed reaction, the furious end up being Ionized sooner than the demoralized. Within thiry minutes of the start of the mass invasion, the thousands of UM vessels in the major systems are being quickly overcome by technologically superior Ascendancy forces. The losses, while still there, are extremely low, the bare few hundreds of vessels at the moment, mostly Kushan-Droid that fight in close, still are too low to effectively hinder the hundreds of thousands combined Republic StarFleet vessels from their overall objectives. The total suprise and shock-awe effect of cutting off the communications and command-control in the first few moments, destroys the Sicily Treaty nation's combined resolve.

It indeed becomes a fight of the last gasp of three nations in 'very' short order. As the StarFleet does it's job, the FACAF combined ilCommand terrestrial forces, most Fold Jumped near on top of the hundreds of planetary atmospheres, and thousands more satellite classified targets, rush in, though some planets are not outright ground invaded yet.

Aleaic then orders over subspace-Hikari holo-comm. ":: Move to the secondary targets for second round of Planetary Ionization. ::"

Meanwhile, Aleaic begins to prepare for his expected speech on the course actions being taken on such an immense scale.

Torusumi saluted, and said, "Understood, your Highness."

She then relayed her orders to the fleet. The reaction was one of dissappointment; nothing like Berlin 1945 was going to happen here, no decisive Strike for the Workers of the Universe. Just the mere occupation of systems that would otherwise harbor anti-Ascendancy nationals.

Or so they thought.

Nonetheless, they moved forth. They approached the three systems bordering the Abh invasion corridor where the UM and Sovereign Union met; they met some resistance from the local governors, who, despite the overwhelming powers of the Ascendancy bombardment and assault, had persisted in resisting somehow.

Waves of Marinesko fighters soon flew out of their carriers; waves of Townshend and Moon Mobile Suits lept into action as well, all gunning for the enemy. Their orders were to disable the enemy ships, and not to do too much damage to them. They soon found that order near-impossible to perform against enemy fighters, who persisted in kamikaze attacks and moved to give plenty of resistance. A good portion of them were shot down, unfortunately.

The capital ships proved easier to defeat. These afforded opportunities for surgical strikes; the Townshend Suits and the Grant Bombers did this with great effect, targeting engine systems and command centers, crippling the enemy's ability to function. They even threw in some EM bombs into the mix, to try and disable the UM Ships. The result was that a good portion were reduced to floating, though fixable, hulks.

-------------------------------
Dropships and drop pods soon began falling onto the surface of the core worlds of these systems; aided by carefully aimed Warp cannon blasts (that targeted enemy defenses, concentrations of Anti-Orbital Defense, and power plants) these ground forces went to work, taking on the UM forces with valor and technology. Flamers, flashbangs and railguns, along with Daltrey Mobile Suits and Kurosawa Infantry Support Armor units, worked in a symphony of sorts, flanking around the enemy, never losing initiative, and always bringing firepower to bear when needed (though following Torusumi's commands, they tried to leave enemy property as pristine as possible). Urban assault tactics went into play, with each house and room cleared with precision and minimum loss of life on both sides.

Many UM Soldiers, though courageous, found their supply lines cut by rapidly advancing enemy forces, who took enemy industrial, military and supply facilities whole and often distributed the food and medical materials to local civilians and New Dornalian soldiers. Many of them found the sight of the Kol'tssien Lizardmen, who seemed to leap over barricades in a single bound, often with no more than grenades and a railgun, and the People's Guardians, whose armor, which harkened to the old days of knights and castles, and whose skills in battle seemed to be just plain better, quite terrifying. UM deaths were low as possible, though inevitably, the New Dornalians had to kill those who would not quit.

As for the other planets in the systems, detachments of Naval Infantry soon did the dirty work of landing on the desolate planets in these systems, or on mining platforms near gas giants, which could be booby trapped. They cleared these places out, fighting a gritty room-to-room, cave-to-cave battle that at times got too close for comfort. Nonetheless, the facilities were secured......

Before long, the capital worlds of each system had the New Dornalian Flag flying over them. And, at the cost of only 625 men, and 35 fighters. Torusumi made her HQ in the old Governor's Palace in one of the systems, and ordered her men to stay on guard, garrisoning the defenses they had taken. Meanwhile, she sent other forces to garrison those systems that were deemed "porous." And as for the defenses, Combat Engineers went to work, rapidly rebuilding the power plants they had destroyed.
Gaian Ascendancy
05-08-2005, 20:30
With ground forces easily asserting control over the planets that had been Ionized over every major and most minor support and central bases. In space the fleet battles began to be driven away from primary habited worlds and surrounded in short order as reserve fleet units were brought in to cut off escapes, Ascendancy fighters making short work of the woefully under fighter equipped enemy fleets, ones too used to fighting with Hoskas and stoic tactics.

On worlds not Ionized, the fighting was furious, though even here, both Ascendancy focus and training within 'every' unit of even Regular status, were far more effective against the haphazard style of the United Mankind, most of which deployed unorthadox and cluncky ground mecha, ones totally outclassed by FACAF OmniMechs and Combat Vehicles, deploying gravity shielding and hyper-advanced Ionic weapons.

In essence, this was no more than a larger scale version of the Deatharon War, though this time the Ascendancy was utterly determined to absorb all three nations completely. No occupation mindset would rule here, rather complete and permanent control.

Meanwhile, forty A-SSDs Fold out of the inital target systems and into twenty-one additional systems. Within two hours, these, and then fifteen additional ones are Ionized. With fifty-three major planets Ionized, the last shreds of command-control for entire defense sectors is lost. Most of the remainder of the systems are already being invaded, with only twenty-three planets left slated for Ionization prior to assimilation.

Meanwhile, ilCommand, satisfied with the progress of the New Dornalia effort, gives the go ahead to take no less than seventeen additional systems adjacent to the three they control. They also direct the Abh advance to head towards the Alcont tertiary capital system of Yatrila, where a small fleet 'did' manage to elude the Ascendancy assault, by pure luck if anything else.

Aleaic meanwhile starts recieving the first secure signal codes of major worlds that are pacified. The fighting in his general vicinity has moved to the fourth world orbital node, with the nearby moons, and planets closer to the system star already occupied for the most part, short of the usual stiff pockets.

What hasn't happened, thanks in part to the severe speed of the invasion, is any serious reports of suicidal or fratcidal events. Other than the occasional nut flinging themselves into space or some other insane maneuver, the souls for the most part that aren't Ionized outright, realize the truth that their world is changing with such a radical vein.

OOC: I'm hoping this allows me to push forth, if not, tell me.

IC:

Torusumi began pushing on. By now, she had been given the order to take 17 more systems nearby. She knew that her forces were not enough to take them all, so she radioed for reinforcements-which she got as soon as possible, in the form of seven more fleets and several more Red Army Units. She also ordered a second attack into the enemy quarters by another Marshal, Marshal Korsunsky.

As this occured, Torusumi moved quickly. By now, the UM forces were collapsing, many were surrendering to the Abh or Ascendancy forces; Torusumi wanted to see as many as possible surrender to New Dornalian forces. She moved into three of the assigned systems, outflanking and defeating the demoralized enemy fleet with a minimum of casualties before landing on the respective core worlds of each system, and raising the Red flag over them.

Often, in many stations and urban wards, it was a replay of the last set of battles; extensive house-to-house, cave-to-cave, and room-to-room fighting that ended in seconds, quick moving flanking manuevers that resulted in the seizure of vital supplies, and quick defeats and lots of surrenders at the hands of elite regiments, thanks to appearance alone. By now, things were a little more difficult; those who still had battle ready units after the Ionization put up a significant fight, especially on installations and in dense urban areas, and casualties were higher. Still, embrassingly for the UM, Torusumi's objectives were preserved; the enemy worlds were taken with a good portion intact.

However, this did not stop the Red Army for long, as they kept going forth, determined not to lose any initiative or speed. Korsunsky's "Left Hook" penetrated into five of the assigned systems, and Torusumi's attack pushed forth into four more......

*Esrath III, a typical invasion battle of the war*

The system, defended by 1,700 vessels, and at least five major volunteer corps (mostly 'drafted' citizens with poor traning,) of over 85,000 troops defended the main planet, with another 3,500 spread throughout the moons and defense platforms around the system. A decent defense that could have normally relied on nearby system support that would come through the Esrath Sord from three nearby star systems, about seventeen light-years away each on average.

That was, until the invasion. Now every system was it's own isolated pocket of resistance, and the inital SpecOps operations took away over 35% of the defenses almost immediately, with the main invasion force of 2,400 variously sized Warships, JumpShips, Droid-Kushan Warships, High-Mobiles, Clan WarShips, FACAF Allied Warships, Ascendant CrystalShips, and the hundreds of DropShips and variously sized Corvette and lower class craft along with, all flooded the Esrath System with total shock and suprise on their side. Fold Jumps placed entire Ascendancy Fleet sections on top of strategic points, dropship vectors, behind enemy vessels, and even inside the atmosphere of the main planet itself.

Some even Folded mere yards from lunar bases before teleporting shock teams of Angel Gods within command centers and troop barracks.

Soon after landing, while the fleets pounded their UM counterparts into a deep sleep, FACAF ground troops pushed to take bases and major power supply areas quickly. Small teams took control of key instalations, as well as govermental centers, including the govermental offices, even as they were in the middle of sessions.

Over 1,400 OmniMechs, 3,100 Combat Vehicles, and hundreds more of support and infrastructure assets soon took command of major areas of uninhabited planetscapes. The cities were left mainly untouched, as the local garrison was rendered neutered within an hour of the invasion. Sporadic fighting was the order of the next twenty-four hours, as the communications blackout made coordination among the defenders impossible.

And then, six hours into the operation, just as if the landing of two Emperors were not enough, a Hikari A-SSD suddenly appears overhead in the path of the sunlight over the sunlit half of the planet. The sight of this among the viewing populations was rather demoralizing, as intended, which took a major part of the fighting spirit away from the remaining defenders. Only the extremists remained, the same kind that started the entire war in the first place.

Those tended to be shot dead by their own, more sane minded members, when defeat was an utter certainty in their minds. This also tended to happen, knowing the rumors of what the Ascendancy did 'for' their captured populations, word filted from the Deatharons that survived their war, and later emigrated to the UM or other worlds in the invasion zone.

For invaders, the Ascendancy was rediculously generous in treatment, and considering the fact that ego and nationalism wasn't going to change what was happening, the populations were a touch more reasonable than they normally would be, mostly added in thanks in part, to the word that captured UM crews were being treated fairly, and that violations, if 'any' among the Ascendancy crews was brutally dealt with.

The Ascendancy knew that these would become valuable partners after the war, as well as the major lifelink between the Milky Way Core Galaxy and the Archonis Supercluster.

Between life under the UM and under the Ascendancy, the choice was clearer than also expected. And 'that' is why the war was turning to out to be one of the more 'humane' and honor bound wars of invasion ever seen.

Neo Zeta is willing to hand over UM occupied Systems to the Abh or Gaians on one condetion only. That any leadership that can not be proved has commited war crimes be allowed to set up a new colony nation of Luca in a new region of power we controle known as The Viper Supercluster. Also that any one liveing on any world taken by The Abh or Gaians be allowed to leave and start a new life in this nation. He offer this for two reasons.

One we do not wish to goverment the occupied terrtory anymore. Secound we feel that for those who dont wish to live under Gaian or Abh rule be allowed to have a choice. This is only a offer please dont feel any pressure on it. We just feel people should always have a choice in how they live their lives.

OOC: Not a problem.

IC:

The armies by Korsunsky and Torusumi stormed forth. Everywhere they went, they may have lost men or encountered resistance, but it became clear that they were in the ascendant. The enemy mechs and infantry did their darndest, but they were no match for the more well-equipped, better-led, and more well trained New Dornalian Red Army. The same blitzkrieg-style overwhelming application of force, marked with huge amounts of flanking, rapid movement, and a surprising respect for civilians and property, resulted in the seizure of many a world. Those structures that were damaged by the fighting were fixed by Combat Engineers, with the aid of the liberated locals.

The fighting itself was the same throughout, and the New Dornalians were moving smoothly. Locals were treated well, ND Red Cross provided food and medicine to those who needed it, and processed POW's captured by the Red Army. MP's kept order behind the lines, and Torusumi's military administration kept the peace, and enforced a strict code of conduct upon its men. Local shipping was commandered, and UM crews were deputized by the People's Navy, but they a) were glad to prefer anybody to the UM, and b), they were paid handsomely for their services in moving men and materiel.

However, the fate of the worlds was in debate. Some wanted the area to be turned into a new "SSR" after the war. Others wanted it to be handed to the Gaians, after all, they were here to aid in the liberation of a people, not conquest.

The Abh invasion forces had captured many systems with relative ease. It seemed as if the enemy had abandoned most of it's provinces. There were only small fighting pockets at best and only minimal planetary defenses had remained. Casualties were next to none while the enemies' was just as few.

Head commander Spoor of Operation Hunter II got the distinct feeling that there would be a repeat of Aptic only the roles would be reversed. The enemies folly the first time was that they had not anticipated on reinforcements and had used up all space time mines at the beginning of the battle. With the input of Admiral Bebaus, Spoor was in a position to take both the Capital of Alcont and the People's Soveriegn Union with a simultaneous attack.

The battle plan was to weaken the enemy's frontlines with a large scale wave attack from the Frontline ships then move the Patrol ships and Guardships in to secure the opening in the formation. With an area secured, the attack forces could secure a head at the Sord allowing overwhelming forces to enter Normal Space. With all route of escape blocked, they would attack with the intent of annhilating the enemy fleet. Of course, surrender was always welcomed if they so choose.
---------------------------------------------
72 hours later

Both Prongs had reached their appointed positions. Both capitals would be attacked at the same time to keep forces divided. Spoor drew her saber, signaling for the first wave of mines to begin. Thousands of mines poored out of the Sord meeting the enemy's patrol ships and pushing them back.

Seeing a clearing infront of the Sord, Spoor sent her ship the Latchkue into action. Hundreds of Guardships and Patrol ships followed suit. The signal to fire electromagnetic rifles was given and enemy ships fell to deadly accuracy. Attack vessels were brought up from the rear to begin their attack runs on smaller crafts while Mobile Suits were dispatched to the hulls of every ship to shoot down enemy mines.

With the enemy being pushed further back, more Guardships were brought up to the front.

Kufadiss: "Should we bring the Frontlineships out of space time?"

Spoor: "No, leave them where they are. I want them to keep firing mines from their current location."

The second volley of mines began at about the same time that the enemy brought up reinforcements along with a mobile command center. Spoor grinned, this was exactly as they had expected. The stronger Patrolships had already maneuverd off to the left and were in a position to flank the enemy. It was expected with the pounding that the Abh were giving to the middle of the formation that the other wings would have lessened their defenses to lend aid. Unfortunatly for them, the Abh fleet was much larger than they had expected. With both sides being aggressively pressed, the enemy began to retreat into the Sord on the other side of the planet.

That was the beauty of the plan. Alcont was much larger than the People's Soverieng Union, so a detachment led by Admiral Wakapel layed in wait for their expected retreat. Detecting her forces in the Sord, the commander ordered the surrender of all vessels.

Both Capital planets had been seized but both forces took casualties. Abh ships destroyed numbered in the hundreds while thousands of lives were lost but their rival was finally destroyed and the Empire had grown tremendously. All that was left was for them to do was claim Alcont's planet.

The forces of the Twin Marshals were winnign on all fronts. Seven systems were left for garrisoning, and now, at least four had given up without a fight. Well, three, the fourth had forces who amazingly still found the will to resist trying to flee, and the ships carrying these were intercepted and boarded, with some difficulty.

The last three would pose the most problems. The United Mankind had withdrawn all of its remaining forces in the area to these systems, and despite dwindling supplies and the fact they had to start recruiting old men and young boys, a sure sign of defeat, the local military men here opted to keep fighting. They had used what ships were still working to keep a protective cordon around these systems.

And Torusumi was determined to do something about it. She knew of the legendary Battles for Okinawa and Berlin, they had been expensive for the forces on the offensive. This looked to be like a space-based version.

Unless.....

She opted to take them out. Positioning her ships just outside the systems in a eight-line deep crescent formation, with groups of ships arranged in a laager box, she fired a wave of EM torpedoes into the ranks of the enemy fleet, which waited for their entrance. The Mobile Suits then attacked with surgical strikes on engines and command centers, to try and disable the ships, like they had done before, escorted by fighters, to follow up.

The UM had thrown up more ships this time, they wouldn't make it easy. So, Torusumi made sure to bring fighter escorts as well; these got a severe workout, using EM torpedoes and lasguns to tackle the enemy fighters head on. Watching her flanks, Torusumi moved her ships in, throwing EM torpedoes carefully into the UM ranks, and crippling plenty of enemy ships in the process. Eventually, boarding teams and Mobile Suits mostly neutralized the enemy fleets, at great cost (some enemy ships had to be destroyed, as their crews would not surrender).

Warp Cannon shots and EM Torpedoes were then fired at the planets below to disable enemy installations before following up with drop pod and dropship assault. The decisive blow would come now......

The streets below were chaotic. The Red forces continued to execute their same house-to-house, flank-'em, and move-fast play, only this time, things proved more difficult. Many feared the coming of the Red Army; they laid booby traps and the Red Army was slowed up clearing them out with Engineers and old hands. Mobile Suits duked it out, with the Daltreys winning but contending with ferocious banzai attacks, and enemy infantry units, desperate to go in blazes of glory, charged suicidally at the Red Army, or sniped at them with rifles and flamers.

Still, the Red Army maintained its professionalism in the face of battle. They kept as calm as possible, and even when the enemy proved difficult to dislodge and artillery was needed, Combat Engineers were there to clean up.

The End was Near....

Finally, it was over.....the campaign was rough, but soon, the remaining UM forces in the area surrendered to the Red Army. Evidently, guts were not enough to stave off an enemy who was just as determined, and had more men and materiel than they did.

The enemy general tried to surrender. But a fighter wing intercepted his shuttle, and prevented escape. They took him into custody, and it was there that Marshal Torusumi and Marshal Korsunsky ordered him to sign a treaty, ceasing hostilities in his sector. He was to give up his forces, his forces would not be disbanded but "appropriated" by the Red Army and People's Navy as Military Police units.

Before long, the General agreed to the terms, he had no other way. The area soon was placed under the military jurisdiction of Torusumi in toto. She led the ex-UM troops who wanted to stay in service, who were used as Military Police; they joined other Red Army units in enforcing the peace. The rest were processed, and forced to swear an oath never to take up arms against the Red Army again. Korsunsky, meanwhile, moved to garrison the borders and command forces guarding the border, as well as other advance units.

In the meantime, locals and Combat Engineers were used to rebuild what had been wrecked, and for a time, it seemed things were going back to normal. Torusumi moved to impose the Workers Bill of Rights upon them; the locals soon enjoyed a free press and a taste of decent liberty, for the first time in a while.

Still, Torusumi stayed on guard....

*78 hours into the invasion*

The Excellency held off responding to the Zetan proposal for after the invasion was completed. It was 'very' obvious what the proposal was meant to create.

The last thing the Ascendancy or the Abh needed was the remains of a former enemy to rebuild in another section of the universe, not without ensuring those that decided to eventually leave, didn't leave with hate in their hearts.

A war hundreds of year from now based on revenge was 'not' going to be tolerated. Even the Council would live long enough to worry about 'this' very thing. In his mind, Aleaic set a different time table, one he intended to offer at the moment the invasion was completed.

The offer was 'not' one meant for hasty decisions.

Meanwhile, the secure code signals were starting to flood in from all over the former nations of United Mankind, Alcont and Soverign Union. As for Hania, the Ascendancy had other plans for them.

The war was going 'exactly' as the Ascendancy planned.

Admiral Bebaus's forces had an easier time convincing the People's Soveirgn Union to relinquish their soveirgnty and giving in to Abh rule.

Admiral Spoor however, had a more difficult time convincing the Alcont president to give over control.

President of Alcont: "We will not surrender. That commander was a fool for giving up so quickly. He could have destroyed more of you machines and would have made resistance easier. Nevertheless, we will fight you to the very last citizen."

Spoor: "Then I hope you do your best." and she ended the conversation. She turned to Kufadiss... "Order the Latushe squadron to setup attack points above the planet. If they don't surrender after this next communication, then have the squadron start blowing away the atmosphere."

Kufadiss looked at her incredulously... "Don't you think that is over the top?"

Spoor looks at him and smirks "My dear Chief, you underestimate the ignorance of our enemy. Trust me, the president is all hot air. He'll surrender."

"And if he doesn't?"

Spoor shrugged "Then we won't have to worry about appointing a territorial ambassador for this planet."

Five hours later both Alcont and the People's Soveirgn Union were under Abh rule.

Meanwhile, as the territory was being rebuilt, plans were underway to convert the area into a New Dornalian Commonwealth. Local forces were being rearmed and retrained under the auspices of the Commissars, Force sensitives were being trained by People's Acolytes, who traveled about, spreading their way. An Academy was even in the works.

And, more startingly, missionaries from the Patriotic Church began to set up missions in cities and other parts of the territory. Though the JAG's worked to preserve the civil codes in place, and often worked to protect the civil rights of the persons in it, a good many persons complained of being pressured, almost, to try and become Communist, be they army or civilian. Eventually, the Missionaries were curbed, and the political indoctrination reduced, but there were those who remained suspicious.

But besides this, other steps occurred as well. The junk that the UM had issued to their men was replaced with new stuff. The local capitalist economy was kept, with a 50-year transitioning period. And, local cities were modernized, as new power plants and technology flowed into the area.

And, local elections occured, these resulted in the development of the Commonwealth Government, led by a local man, and other government systems, as well. The Constitution of the area was modeled on the Workers Constitution, and modified to suit local needs. The people would govern themselves, but the government in Los Angeles would remain in control.

The area needed a name....the Terran Commonwealth was settled upon, for the time being.

All the while, the Red Army stood on watch...Torusumi sent word to the Gaians, "Where else do you need us?"

*Invasion T+ 4 days, 18 hours, 33 minutes, 11 seconds

United Mankind Capital world.*

By now, the entire remainder of the United Mankind, as well as 17 percent of the Alcont, and 8 percent of the Sovereign Union had been conquered. Only 3 percent of planets were not fully secured, and some sporadic resistance existed throughout the held territories.

The internal dissent was quickly silenced when the first images of Lord Aleaic were seen astride the current and 'rather' dejected United Mankind president. the Ascendancy now held 518 Systems in the Milky Way Core Galaxy, with 56 sceeded to the New Dornalia forces in the area they invaded. The remainder were now recognized territory.

The image of Aleaic on holo-cameras was as much a reason to deride, as it was to show concern, and pride, depending on the point of view.

Aleaic's however was simple in his speech.

:: ~ This is nothing less than invasion, determined by events, and a long war that preexisted this final invasion. The Ascendancy 'had' been at war with the United Mankind and it's allies for well over a decade up to this point, and more, those of this nation that target my dearest of loves, 'does' cause me to act in a methodical and vengance minded manner.

Now according to the Absoprtion Treaty of Daedelus, the Ascendancy lays Absorption claim over five-hundred and eighteen systems we invaded. We also recognize the claims of the United Mankind Abh, and the New Dornalia Empires over the territories they have gained. The Abh also have rights to exist in our acquired territories as well.

We also recognize the Neo Zetan offer for a creation of a new state away in the Viper Supercluster. We will onyl acquiese, and ask the Neo Zetans to hold their own held territories all for one standard year. For that standard year, the invading nations will turn their assets to humanitarian and stabilization aid, as well as to ensure no uprisings or civil disobediance occurs over the said time period.

The citizen souls here, are what is at stake. There 'will' be dissenting elements that will try to dislodge us all, and until that is certainly ensured to be an untruth for well over a good two generations of mortal lifespans, then we cannot simply abide to an ideal too laden with the probability of a war caused by simply letting them choose their own path.

At the present time for that one year, the conquered citizens will be Ascendancy citizens without choice. AFTER that one year is another matter, and we will not hold them up if they choose to leave. Also, do not mistake this invasion as one that will enslave the populaces conquered. In fact, I call on all invading nations to avoid any such kind of slavery, and to combat against this and piracy of any kind, to help keep stability. The souls taken, for this one year, will learn the Ascendancy way of life, without hesitation. They may not leave Ascendancy stated territory, but they 'can' travel within the Ascendancy Sphere freely, even with their own vessels.

But to think this can lead to folly or security concerns, is another false thought. For one year, the Ascendancy will semi-close it's borders, and reevaluate, and restructure the security and safety aspects of our nation, after which, at the same time the conquered citizens be allowed to move without restriction, the Ascendancy will have new security abilities in place, to avoid acts that draw my anger upon 'any' nation.

And trust me here and now. If this ever happens again, by any nation, for any reason, under the vein of terrorism, my decision making processes will apporach the same acts seen here these past few days.

I have no qualms to ensure justice and clan codes be met, if we are ever insulted upon this scale ever again. We may be a friendly nation when treated as such, and we can be honorble without hesitation.

But make no mistake. This nation was built as a single war machine where good, justice and hope have a place to vent rage and war against the impure souls that see other life as poor and enslavable.

So note us well. And say all words good and ire all nations wish. We have made our actions speak for themselves. And there are 'no' mistakes in our messages now. From now on, the Guardianship will conduct war as it sees fit, as much as it does it's diplomacy. And make no other mistake. Now that we are back in the Milky Way Core Galaxy, we 'will' interlope when necessary, to ensure what happened to us, does not happen to another nation ever again.

This is what I saw my nation build the Guardianship for. The darkness cannot be wanton against 'every' world and good minded nations, without considering the Balance. And we 'are' prepared to hold our standards, to 'our' terms, not based on the words of any other, or any one being.

So here now, the Ascendancy Sphere is officially extended over the Absorption, and these systems are ours to do with as we see fit. And if the other nations will be patient and watch, all will be surpised how we see occupation, and that proposal the Zetans offered, may have a result they may not believe.

And not one soul will be tortured, mindwashed, or any other ill, short of those that are determined to be the cause of the wars in the first place. Also, we will be using Ascendancy Gene-Refab technology to recover as much of the dead as possible on all sides of the conflict. By the end of the year, as much as possible, 'all' enemy and allied souls will be returned to life, and back to their families.

And more, if the fleets and forces captured are determined to be honorable and capable after enhanced training, they will be allowed to serve in the Ascendancy Sphere FACAF with equal standards as our nominal forces. The citizens as said, will have the 'same' rights as Ascendancy Sphere citizen souls.

This way, not much will change by way of life, rather the quality will change more dramatically. And this is why we ask outside nations to wait and see for one year. Also, trade routes will be established from the Archonis Supercluster, and into the Milky Way Core Galaxy, through these territories, and through the Abh, New Dornalians, and Neo Zetans, as markets where commerce and trade will see a great deal of enrichment on all sides.

So, let a new age of cooperation and humanity begin, as where the wars now finally end. ~ ::

That, was the offical end of the Invasion for the Ascendancy Republic Sphere. In two more weeks, very efficient SpecOps cells would root out the last resistance, and less than one percent would be declared escaped from the invasion zones. And 'none' of those lost would be from dissenting factions.

The Ascendancy also would keep a razor sharp eye on the NZ held territories, and silently hold them responsible for any terrorism that ever occurs based on 'their' proposal. The Ascendancy had 'no' qualms about making the Zetans hold honor over their word.

This also would end up being the start of a fire year period of true peace, with only the Dark Eternals the true enemy set in sights. That was the focus now of the largest military buildup ever seen. It was also the time for one year, that the Ascendancy kept it's word, and flooded the conquered territories with everything Ascendancy, especially the immaculate quality of life, with no greed or problems associated with, in the way. Money was abolished, in favor for an overall commerce system. Trade was influxed in titanic quantities, and every facet of freedom short of the one year impune, was offered to the lay populations at large.

In two months, the former Sicily territories would become 'just' as prolific as the the ones in the Archonis Supercluster. That would rebound in trade and commerce, to strengthen the Ascendancy external currency, and that would raise morale, especially when it was proven the populations would not be enslaved.

And the Ascendancy was open enough to allow foreign national reporting sources in to film and report on ongoing events in the new territories. They didn't embelish anything, only showed the pure truth.

This was where the invasion and the war would be won, the keeping of the peace, and recovery of commerce. Stability and confidence would lead to slowly grown loyalty, and 'that' would defeat whatever plan the Neo Zetans had in mind.

At the end of one year, the Ascendancy kept it's word. The borders were reopened, and the results spoke for themselves. Only thirteen percent of the total populations left, and those that were hardline were hard hard pressed to find support. In the end, those that left, left of their own free will, for their own reasons, and hate was a commodity that was terribly hard to find in the end.

THAT was when the Ascendancy won the war.

Hakudoushi smiled as he saw the speech. " Just as father said he was. Arogent,Idealist and above all truthful."

He smiles as he looked at Yoko " In the end it dosnt matter we can clone 65 % threw 76% of the allience population. We have been storeing their DNA codes for some time even befor the war."

Yoko nods " Yes my lord and The Gaians would have trouble knowing what is going on in The Viper Supercluster. We have made a barrier if you will stop stop ships from from folding in at will. There would be a 73% chance of the ships being destroyed and a 12% chance they are off their fold point by light years. Sensors wont be much good as well. So building up The Yevon Empire of the United Mankind should be easy."

OOC: Like any shield tho if someone wants to get threw it bad enough and trys hard enough they can.

IC: Hakudoushi nods " They think we wish to use it agians them....They still hold little trust for us. If it works i will have a Empire under my controle to help controle the Viper Supercluster. As well as have a allie in case the Gaians or Abh feel they need to invade."

Hakudoushi made a speech of his own.

We would like to send our congradulations to The allied force who have defeated the UM and her allies. This war was one of hate, mistrust and destruction. But near the end one of Mercy and Kindness. The Gaians if they wished chould of destroyed the UM totaly leaving not one alive. Yet they showed mercy even tho the UM showed none to her enemys.

Now that is out of the way i wish to make one thing clear to the Universe. The Guardianship says it will invade when it sees fit. Well know Neo Zeta and Yevon will also invade when it sees fit. We will not have nations going agianst our intrest freely. Those who seek to harm us you know who you are. Know somthing Universe we have been careless these past few years. But not anymore. The Dominion is back... And we will be watching you all.

As always only Hakudoushis voice was heard.

OOC2: The Enemys he speaks of is not the Gaians nore Abh. Tho he dosnt trust either. But he is warning everyone.....Dominion affairs are Dominion affairs and he feels no nation or guardianship will be allowed to qustion he rule or how he rules.

Marshal Torusumi replied to the news with a sense of pride. It seemed to be the People's Will at work. The Workers State had been given the chance to spread the gospel of Marx and Lenin across the stars, and it had been done.

Now, as more Red Army units and those Commonwealth forces that had joined the Red Army moved to garrison the systems granted to them by the Gaians, a general sense of elation emerged in the Workers State, as the Terran Popular Commonwealth, the territory in New Dornalian hands, was formally integrated into the Workers State by the Treaty of Luxembourgia, which formalized the relationship between the State and its new, self-governing realm, granting it definite self-governing powers and allowing Los Angeles to appoint a Governor General to approve local proposals by the Commonwealth Legislature and approve any military actions taken by the newly designated Commonwealth Popular Defense Forces, upgraded versions of the old ex-UM regiments.

Military Reservations were soon being established on the more desolate worlds to provide for the local forces, and though the massive Red Army forces stayed, they gradually began to give way to local military and police forces, with emphasis placed on local forces and Red Army and People's Navy border patrols. On a curious note, all of the Commissars in the Commonwealth were trained on Earth or Luxembourgia, schools in the Workers State itself, which would ensure that they would keep the locals loyal.
The Humankind Abh
07-08-2005, 02:29
With the war at its end, the People of Hanya stood alone in the Nova Sicily Treaty. Though they had never attacked the Humankind Empire Abh, they were still noticed as a possible threat. On Spoor's command, a proposal for an alliance was made allowing any and all tension to be eleviated.

Under the alliance, their military would go through reconstruction to reflect Abh technology. Their people would be allowed to join the Star Forces and hold rank. Immigration to any planet was possible with permission. They would be included in the trade with the Empire and merchants were allowed to rent ships provided from her Highness and the merchants could keep all earnings minus the cost of the ship and crew supplied. Orbiting towers would be built along with space ports and mining facilities.

Truly the people of Hanya made the most of the ordeal without a single casualty. They would no longer have to worry about the repercutions from the United Mankind for being sympathetic to the Abh. And their nations would prosper with the fusion of the Abh economy.
