“Yesterday, the Prime Minister of Wintrees issued a statement to the Independent State of Brent stating that their right to independence has been revoked after much deliberation in Parliament.

This is due to heightened BLA (Brent Liberation Army) attacks from hard line factions who demand full independence from the state of Wintrees.

It has been thought for some time that these factions are still operating within the boarders of Brent under the protection of the Brent Assembly.

Wintrees called for all Brent Defense Forces to lay down their arms and wait for processing by Wintrees Defense Forces. Government officials are to return to their homes and make no attempt to deter Wintrees Defense Forces from taking control of the Assembly compound. What follows is a statement from the Ministry of Defense.”

“The 3rd Infantry Brigade along with elements of what of the14th Parachute Regiment and the 5th (Royal) Armored Brigade have crossed the boarder at the Town of Hedge and have encountered light resistance. Conservative estimates place us as being the city of Brent [The Captial] by the end of the week.”

“The Brent Leading Minister has declared this a monstrous beach of trust and international law and calls for help from all nations to help turn back this unlawful attack.”

OOC – Brent was granted a limited Independence about a year ago after a civil war in Wintrees (thread for this is lost in the sand of time I fear).

Until now they have been given the freedom to make their own laws, raise their own (limited) military and control their own economy. They are still a member of the extended commonwealth, however only in name and in paying for this right (10% gross national product). Wintrees has all ways reserved the right to revoke this anytime they like and this has resulted in the continued attacks by hard line factions who want complete independence.

Feel free to step in on either side.
