The United States of Trekys always knew that the day would come when their new home would become crowded. The moment the nation settled in after moving from Earth, and the first new ships were made, the order was given to constantly survey all systems they could to help find a new suitable home.

"Hello, and welcome to USTNC, Channel 14 cable. In a moments, the President, President Leonard McCoy, will make an announcement regarding the colonization of a new system by Trekys. As many of you may, or for those that are not Trekys citizens, may not know, Trekys has not colonized a system since they move here, to the Rigel System, some many many years ago from Earth." said the News Anchorwoman, "However, the search for a new one was started shortly after we came here..."
The News Anchorwoman puts her hand to her hear and listens to a report coming in from her boss.
"It seems the President is ready to make his speech." she said
The screen then went black for a moment and came back. The view was beautiful. A glass podiumn was standing infront of a garden, with many lush plants and trees in the background. The President walked in from off screen wearing a black suit, blue shirt and red tie. He placed his papers on the podium, looked around and looked over the press...He gave a slight smirk and then cleared his throat.
"Today, I am honored to say that The United States of Trekys shall be colonizing Two new planets in the VEGA LYRA System, as shown in this image:" said the President. He was then replaced on screen by a picture of the VEGA LYRA System

"The VEGA LYRA System has Four habitable planets. Three of them are actural planets and the fourth is a moon. Under the current circumstances, however, we have choosen only two for colonization. The first planet closest to the green sun of this system, Mensa. Her moon, Jajena, is set for colonization in 25 years. The next planet is called Pletentus. She is also set for colonization. One of her two moons, Mostonor, is set for mining as it is unsuitable for life. The second one is a moon similar to Earths moon, her name is Rio Tigonado." said the President, taking a quick pause and then continuing, "The third planet, Mongterious, is not scheduled for colonization, while it seems suitable for life, the planet drops to 95 degrees below freezing. How anything survives there is unknown, but somehow plants have adapted. Her moon, Nicatu, is the same as Rio Tigonado. The asteriod planet, Monta, has been scanned very little, however, we expect it to be unsuitable for human life."
The President gazed around at the press. Many people are watching at home, and this must be very exciting to them all.
"We have choosen 5 Million civilians to make this trek to a new home. At the moment, however, we have setup a blockade around the inner planets of the system to prevent any outsiders. A total of 400 ships have been sent there some 6 days ago, any nation who wishes to visit the system may, however, is not allowed into the inner system. The civilians will be transported to there over in the next 10 years. I thank you for your time, and I will talk more about this in the next few weeks. Have a good day." said the President as he stepped away from the podium smiling and waving.
--In the Vega Lyra System--
The USTS Montana, a Star Class Science vessel detected strange energy readings from the Monta asteriod planet. She and her escorts, two Utopian Class Cruisers began to enter orbit. Once they did, the Montana's sensor's went crazy.
"Sir...I don't know whats wrong, the sensors are all over the place....energy readings are off the scale and i think we are detecting life signs on the asteriod." said Ensign Mukola at Science
"What....Life? On that chunk of mineral...how?" asked the Captian
"I don't know sir but...SIR, something just left the surface and is heading straight for us." screamed the Ensign
"Hail our escorts, tell them to..." was all the Captian got out
Something from the surface shot out at the Montana. Whatever it was, it was strong enough to wipe out her out as well as her escorts.
OOC: if someone wants to RP the unknown energy source, go ahead just let me know. Other then that, any nation can join in...but if you want to get deeper into the system (cause something might be there) u'll have to break my blockade.
