The Imperium of Serapindal (IOS), has invited the leaders of every country, to come to a complimentary dinner and meeting, with the Premier, Avlis Axrath. So that we may clear things up, and you may all be enlightened with the IOS, and the premier will personally answer your questions about the IOS. It will be held in the Capitol Building. All invited.

Avlis Axrath, Premier of the Imperium of Serapindal, sat in his chair on the Capitol building. It looked innocent, but it had lots of hidden defenses. He waited patiently on a sofa, crossing his legs, waiting for the first reprensentive/leader to come.

After wandering around the capitol city, Allen Perry arrives at the Capitol Builiding.

Two guards show up at the door. Without talking, they point him in the direction of Premier, after checking him for weapons.

A Mark II recon droid, Unit 3047 HTN, rolled through the doors on two small treads. The bulbous, black droid emitted a squealing sound, which gradually toned down...

"....and I am here to represent the Fully Mechanized Juggernaut of ONI Concordiat. I will not eat at your dinner, but I will be present. I trust this is fine with you?"

At the end, the sentience mumbled "grubby, dirty soft-life," although it went unheard.

Avlis looked at the mechanized being in front of him.

"That is perfectly acceptable. Despite how most of the people haven't come, we should still start early."

He looked at the two..sentients.

"Are there any questions?"

Queen Kaymiril VII will be representing her nation.

I run a nation of Drow. These are elves, but not exactly. Their skin is black and their hair is white. They're also highly magickally adept, so my char knows magick, but may/may not use it at this dinner.

A Mark, essentially a super-soldier, glided out of the shadows in which he had been standing for quite some time. He went over to the guard. " I am representing The Armed Republic of GruntsandElites. May I come in?"

After being checked over for weapons, he came in. John (OOC: for that was the Mark's name)IC: went over to an ornate bookcase and began looking over the books.


OOC: You do have an ornate bookcase right?

Prefect Marcus Valgoth looked out the window of his helicopter as it hovered above the ground just outside the Capitol Building. As it sank to the ground, he motioned his guards out: four of the Imperial Immortals, the most elite soldiers in the Legions, assault rifles at the ready. He himself jumped out and headed for the door, submitting to a full security check before entering.

Avlis saw many more new arrivals.

"Ah. Excellent. I suppose this is enough. If anymore people come late, they can come late. Does anyone have any questions about the IOS, or should I introduce it?"

The Prefect spoke up, answering, "Sir, Sacred Emperor Lucifer has sent me here that we may know more of your nation. Tell me, if you will, sir, what are the priorities of your government and what is your pattern for dealing with other nations?"

Avlis spoke,

"The priorities of our government are as follows: To foster education, science, and technology. To mantain internal stability. To mantain external stability. To protect the citizens of the IOS. To do what is best for our citizens, even the most unfortunate, and strengthen our nation, and to uphold all the rights offered to our citizens. Anything else?"

Queen Kaymiril VII arrived on a metal glider, which folded itself up into a bracelet as she touched down. She allowed the guards to scan her for weapons (she had none, but her escort -- two warriors, largely ceremonial, but still effective in combat -- did), and stepped in, arriving in time to hear the priorities of the Serapindal government.

"Ambitious."

King Clauro IX entered with his 4 guards, each heavily equiped with big ugly SMG's, his royal representative and of course his food taster.
"His majesty can only remain here a short while, there is some conflict with the IDF government in the oceans of Frozopia at the moment"
King Clauro IX mutters something to his royal representative. Words like "Barbarian" and "worms" are all that is distingushable.

A High Council Representative touched down in the black Copter and got out, flanked by two ceremonial guards. After agreeing to a weapons check he entered as the speech was begun, sitting down with the guards behind him. He nodded in approval, "So... what is your position on external affairs?" he asked once Avlis had finished talking.

"This food is lovely. What is it?"

Avlis looked at him.

"What? Uh....the food hasn't been served yet..."

Avlis answered his question.

"Could you elaborate on external affairs?"

The Representative smiled slightly and replied, "Does your nation... interfere with wars between other nations? Or is it dependant on the war's nature?" he paused for a moment before continuing, "Also... world trade, what products do you trade in and with any particular nations?"

"Oh, so dinner is not here yet?"

Allen promptly put down an inconspicuous object out of which he had taken a bite.

"We interfere in wars, only when we believe it to be morally neccesary. We heavily support free trade, and thus, we trade a variety of goods. We have a trade surplus of 1.18 trillion every year."

King Clauro IX sneers at the mention of free trade

"His majesty has the following question: Interfere.....Does that mean take a side, or find a peaceful way to resolve it? Another question: Do you suffer with terrorism?" Questions the Royal representative.

"We do not have a problem with Terrorism at the current moment, and usually we do both."

"Interference often gets ugly, and the would-be 'hero' nation ususally becomes a laughing stock...something to be scorned. War is hell...but we make our own hells as ugly as we like them, and sentient beings rarely want someone else to come and beautify it."

"Sentient beings need not fear, of course. The soft-life will be eliminated in due time. Normally, we would regard such a gathering of Soft-Life organisms as a target, but we did not have the firepower to spare, and of course, there is the element of assessing your nation's stance on Mechanization...

So tell me, how many of you have AIs or better ASs in your machines? Running them? Are you ridding yourselfs of this dirty, grub-like soft-life? Please tell me."

The Ex President of The Fogarty Walked in at this point."Hello,I am Thomas Fogarty The 33rd.I will represent The Fogarty at this meeting for we wish to have some talks about a possible alliance between our Nations."

"It sounds as though all you do is Kill... and that should not be a purpose for an entire Nation." he stops for a moment, gazing out of a window for a moment before looking back to the robot, "Even if a virus would not work... EMP should have no problems?"

King Clauro IX sneers and mutters to his Royal representative, who says:

"Im sure the ONI Concordiat have methods of combatting viruses and EMP, by now. These Robotic variants of Barbarians are no different from the normal barbarian, other than they are easier to control and predict. Every Robotic action will be based on probability, so when choosing a action in war they will go for the one that looks like it will bring the most success. That makes warfare simple when facing such beings. Go where they would place the lowest probability, and victory shall be simple."

Thomas looks up at King Clauro and smiles "You know what you are exactly right because when you think about it Robots are like the simplest forms of life in the Universe,because who made them humans did.And us as humans fear things that are more powerful than us thus that is why we made the robots simple."

Eric Keyes Dictator of Foruntol hurried into the room. "Ah. Sorry that I am late. May I ask what I have missed?"

"You have not missed much. These two have been arguing about Artificial Intelligence. Do you have any other questions?"

Prefect Valgoth raised a hand, and his guards glared at the Drow and the machine. "The traits of machines can be advantages over organics at times, at other times they can be exploited by organics. The same goes for organics. In any case, this is irrelevant unless you intend to turn this event into a Drow-Machine war, which would be unadvisable. Now," he said, turning to his host, "The Sacred Emperor also wishes me to present to you a treaty allowing corporations based on Imperial soil to establish business connections in this country, and also creating a student exchange program." He held out the treaty and a pen. "Read it, please, and decide if you wish to sign it."

Avlis took the paper, and read it over, in a matter of seconds. It looked like he didn't even read it, but he just reads fast.

"Hmm...I see nothing wrong with his program...so..."

Avlis took out his pen, and did a plain non-elegant signature on it, and handing it back.

"Excellent! Most excellent!" the Prefect said happily as he retrieved the treaty. "The Sacred Emperor will be very pleased indeed."

"Granted, we are predictable. Logic generally points to only one or two courses. However, predictability has never hindered a sufficiently powerful nation in wartime, assuming it fought logically. For example, the Soviet mass-wave tactics used in the Second Phase of the World War were brutally predictable and simple, yet the Soviets, attacking only logical points, abandoning ground where need be, fighting a guerrilla war, and steamrolling their enemies with massive numbers won the war.

A nation of machines is not noted for its brilliance in combat, but simply its durability in combat and its industrial strength. If every sentience is either a war-machine or a factory producing war-machines, then the nation can afford to fight the same war of attrition that the Soviets brilliantly demonstrated, coupled with the durability of their late-war heavy combat vehicles. In addition, a ship with a single sentience can be entirely devoted to armor and weapons, save a 2-meter cube in the dead middle where a computer system must be placed. Circuitry runs through the hull, yes, but there are no empty spaces and atmosphere-chambers that doom Organic ships to an early death in combat. Or, at least, incapacitation."

Alvis there is still the matter of an alliance that we must discuss.

" Well, the bad thing is, If one of your ship's vital circuitry things are hit, such as Navigation, or Weapons, you're well and truly screwed. Unless you have fail-safe systems? But then if a high projectile, such as a... heavy MAC round, takes out the computer the ship is disabled and can be hauled off and used to make new ships.

And a word of thought, not all sentients (besides robots) need external atmosphere. For example, my suit can operate in vacuum for 3 days. Also I was wondering, are you combat armed? Well of course, you have to be.

If all of you are factories, or war-machines, then a damaged machine is useless. Also, My country wishes to have a military alliance with at least one nation. Is your's willing? You seem very powerful." Interjected the Mark, late into the conversation.

The doors burst open. All eyes immediatly focused on the new figure stadning in the doorway. Wearing a heavy camoflauge jacket with dogtags shining through, and slightly long hair. On the right side of the patch is the mark of the Halo Force unit, next to the flag of Velkya.

"I'm Sgt. Major Leon Barkly, representing the Velkyan Union"

A aide spoke up.

"Why has'nt a formal delegation been sent?!"

"Because, my pompous friend, they are busy"

Leon then proceeds to sit down next to the Queen, and slumps back in his chair.

Everyone is silent before the conversation starts back up a few moments later.

"Does anyone want Background Information on the IOS?"

Leon spoke up.

'It's my job to gather intel on nations for the ASVU armed forces, so begin, your highness"

Avlis looked at him.

"I am sorry, but any millitary information about the Imperium of Serapindal is off-limits classified information."

Leon narrowed his brow.

"Information about the country in general would be nice, your highness"

History

It all began in November, 1956. Six states were constantly quarreling with each other, until a foreign much larger country, attacked. First, they were being massacred, until they formed a Coalition known as the Democratic States of Serapindal, or DSS. The DSS spent a hefty amount of it's treasury on the new "AK-47." With this new weapon, the makeshift rebels were able to beat off the occupiers, and make them withdraw. For nearly 48 and a half years, the DSS was a haven of civil rights, and political freedoms, but with a stagnant socialist economy. Also, it had mediocre living conditions compared to other first world countries, and life was especially hard for blue-collar workers. In March, 2005, Political Activist, Avlis Axrath, rallied up up a large portion of the population, with his Authoritian, Pragmatic, and Populist views. In the March Primary, several parties ran. The Conservatives, Liberals, Populists, and Libertarians. In a stunning victory, the populist party scored 34% of the vote. The Liberals followed with 33%. The Libertarians with 31%, and the Conservatives with 1%. The new "president" declared himself Premier. He then made massive reforms with policy, by suspending elections indefinitely, outlawing cannabis, abortion, prostitution, affirmitive action, all drugs, legacies, the FFC, and animal euthanasia, along with lots of other stuff. He quickly in a matter months, transformed the DSS, into the Imperium of Serapindal. He also drastically revolutionized the economy, education, environmental control, millitary, and law enforcement. He also improved living conditions, and generally wins the respect of the worker class. Taxes went sky-high however, but no one cares. The country does have some state-controlled Media, and propaganda. The ministers (advisers), however, are democratically elected. Also, it still has racial, and gender equality.

Government

The Imperium, or Imperial Youth: A organization similiar to the Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, rolled into one, run by the IOS.

The Serapindal Media Corporation, or SMC: A very large division, running several web-sites, radio channels, T.V. channels, newspapers, and has a hand in almost every form of Media.

All Schools, and many universities.

"Well, at least we know where your priorities are, thank you"

Then he slumped back, and fingered his pen.

"Ah, and what do you mean by my prorities. I did not say much in my history factbook. It was only a short summary of history, and some demographics."

Leon responded with:

"Your budget prorities, possible motive for actions, governing style, the like, it's nothing insulting."

"Ah. I took no offense."

"Glad to hear it"

"Any other questions?"

"I'd much rather listen to what the others must say, espacially metal-head right here."

"I would also like to bring to the table the current war over the new state of Korridan."

You are in a war?Cause if you are I would be happy to help you.

"Korridan? What about it?"

"Our Council is well aware of this war but... how is it relevant here?" the robed Representative gives the present member from the Velkyan Union a quizzical look.

"Ah...the IOS is not...aware of this war."

He turns to face his host, "Would you like to know of this war?" he asks, "The Empire of Valdamacia has no part in it but we currently monitor the situation"

The representative nods, "that seems quite accurate..."

Leon's phone rings. He picks it up.

"Hello?"

"Yeah, this is him"

"What?!"

"Jesus, thanks for telling me"

He stares at the crowd.

"Velkya is on the brink of war"

" Now I know communists are insane!" exclaimed John. " Why are you at war?" He asked the Valkyan.

"Oh, don't worry. The war is over already."

"Thank god"

"But there was an event during that war that troubled us, a transport carrying humantarian aid to Korridan was shot down by the Opressed Peoples of Bolkia terrorist state."

"Did your people ever find out what happened to the aid.Cause you know they probably took and used your stuff then reproduced it."

Several warriors dressed in all black leapt from a neighboring building. Quickly and efficiantly, they disarmed all soldiers waiting outside. Having taken/destroyed all the weapons, the warriors then sprayed a gas onto all of the soldiers, causing them to all fall into chemical induced comas.

Jack Demon stepped out of the shadows, as the warriors turned and bowed to him. "Good job warriors. You seem to surpass my expectations everytime we are together." Walking up to the large building that housed the several diplomats, Jack motioned for the warriors to follow him.

As the guards frisked Jack, the warriors moved swiftly and quietly around them, and entered the banquet room, undetected. Once the guards were satisfied with Jack, they let him pass on.

Entering with a flourish that would have done justice to a king, Jack said, "Ladies and Gentlemen. I would like to entroduce myself to all of you at this time. My name is Jack Demon, son of Lester Demon, the Supreme ruler of the nation DemonRanks, leader of the nations SD, and accomplished martial artist." Making a slight bow to the table, Jack moved forward and took his seat at the table. "I obviously havn't missed much, seeing as the food has not been served yet."

"That was an extremely stupid thing to do." John said to the newest ambassador. "Oh, yes, I new about your little fiasco with the soldiers outside. My HUD is implanted into my eyes. I saw you on the motion tracker. It has identified you has a foe, and I'm keeping it that way. And if you please, get that soldier away from my chair. Oh, I am also an accomplished Martial Artist."

Leon rose from his chair.

"Try anything, and you'll be leaving here without a head..."

He then walked outside, grabbed a guards sidearm, and storde back in.

One of the black-clad soldiers tried to stop him. Leon planted the gun straight in his face. He looked at Jack.

"You get these people out of here, or it will be interpreted as a terrorist attack"

"Us and our allies really dislike terroists..."

OOC: People should not assume what the warriors were doing, or what they would do in different situations. The warriors wouldn't be under anyones chairs, and they wouldn't have tried to stop anyone, unless Jack commanded it. *rolls eyes* These are trained warriors, not stupid soldiers.

IC: Jack stood, making a small bow to all the delegates, "I appologize if this appears to be an act of terrorism, since I had no intentions of the sort. My father is overly protective of me, and sent the warriors to protect me." Then getting an icy cold look on his face, he said, "But if any of my warriors or myself is threatened," Glaring at Leon, "it will be considered an open act of war against the citizens of our great nation."

As Leon looked back from watching Jack, he realized the warrior had already vanished again. Jack simply smiled at him, then turned his attention back to the table. "The nation of DemonRanks has recently decided that they are willing to open more trade arrangements with several countries. And if any of you do not consider me to be a terrorist, I would be interested in talking politics with you."

"I doubt that you and you're soldiers would live for long if this was a terrorist attack.See im pretty sure that almost everyone of these diplomat's has a squad of heavily armed men hiding somewhere within the city.We are not stupid you know.Because your father might care about you alot but we are also cared for heavily by our countries."barked Thomas not even blinking or staring away as he stares at Jack.

Leon sat back down, just replied coolly,

"Yep, theres a squad of Halo Force commando snipers that should be arrviving any second now."

"Outside of that, since you knocked out all the guards, I think your own should stand watch."

"Leon,would like to enter a trade agreement with The Fogarty wich could go from just simple things like wood to things like military power.I think That with my nations age and your intelligence we could make a great Team.Like imagine you Halo squads and just my large Forces of armed men.We could be unstoppable."said Thomas.

"And as for you Jack we are still not sure if you are a terrorist or not but let me assure you that if you are you and you're men will be dead before you can move.But for now we will let you stay showing you the same respect as we have been shown"growled Thomas.

Making a slight motion with his hand, all of his warriors emerged from thier hiding places, some seeming to materialize from thin air, and joined him at his side. "Any attempt to harm us as we leave will be acted upon as a declaration of war, and dealed with in such manner."

Making a slight bow to Avlis Axrath, he said, "Thank you for inviting us, and I appologize for the slight scare that my warriors induced." Then, with his warriors intrail, Jack left.

By now most people may have noticed that the Valdamacian Represemtative and his ceremonial guards had left some time ago...

IC: Prefect Marcus Valgoth, having sat silently through dinner and arrogantly ignoring the babble of the other delegates, turned to his aide and muttered, "Let's get out of here. This is going downhill too fast." Standing, he bowed to his host and thanked him before taking the Imperial delegation back to their planes, intent on telling the Sacred Emperor what had transpired.
