I was thinking about doing a civil war RP for my nation, Torontia.

Torontia is made up of the American Northern Pacific coastline. It inlcudes Oregon, Washington and Canadian BC.

Torontia's capital is Seattle and the other main city is the large port city of Vancouver.

Toronita is ruled by a extreme right wing dictator, President Paul Kaufman.

Kaufman was ELECTED to office as a non-party independent on a far right conservative platform.

Since he won office, he has closed down parliament, the courts and media. Kaufman declared martial law and banned trade unions and political parties.

Kaufman has now made himself President for Life.

The cabinet is called the National Command Council (NCC) and is made up of Kaufmans close friends, economists, military officers and leading CEOs and Corporate shareholders.

Kaufman more or less has shares or ownership in every large business in Torontia and has many companies that are his own.

Kaufman only really cares about money and power! His people's needs don't EVER register on his list of priorities.

The Revolt is to be led by the working class and has many different factions:

*Communists
*Anarchists/anti globalisation groups
*Democratic socialists
*Liberals
*Underground trade union actitvists (Trade uions are illegal)

They all are united in their hatred for the Kaufman regime.

Very poor living conditions, mass poverty, hunger, homelessness, lack of work for the slum dwellers and no social or political rights for the working class and the poor are the cause of the revolt.

Sections of the middle class also side with the revolt. Intellectuals and students.

Social make up of the political loyalties are:

KAUFMAN'S SUPPORTERS

*Upper classes/CEOs/venture capitalists/super rich.

*Middle class private sector workers.

*Police/military forces.

REBEL SUPPORTERS

*Middle class intellectuals (Liberals/democratic socialists).

*Students (Anarchists/anti-globalistation activists).

*Working class (Communists/trade unionists).

I want both sides to be evenly matched and you have to know how to RP war properly!

However after both sides are evenly matched, then Ill close the invites and start the war thread.

I'd control the communists or the democratic socialists, prefrabley the socailists.

Ill participate as a ally of nthe goverment.

All factions are united in the rebel movement.

Liberals/anarchists/communists/d. socialists/trade unionists are all in the same group.

They fight as one!

Torontia is just my newest nation.

Am I allowed to come in as a third-person party, because I'm Authoritian, but I'm a big supporter of the working-class see...so basically, both sides should logically hate me. I'm still capitalist though. I ain't no dirty pinko.

This war is NOT between nations but different political groups INSIDE the nation of Torontia.

Nations supporting either side can do so openly (have your own army come in and help your side) or covertly (supply weapons and money to the side you want in secret).

But at the begining of the civil war, nations supporting the rebels will have to just do arms smuggleing across the border, as the coastline/airports/ports will be held under government control.

When you say your supporting the socialists, that means you also support the anarchists and the liberals as the rebel movement is ONE UNITED coalition. They have different ideas but fight and work together out of hatred for Kaufman's regime and because on their own, each rebel faction is too weak to destroy Kaufman.

A word of warning though, I aim to have Kaufman win. Im really after a civil war and bloodshed and not really into a regime change as having a lefist or liberal nation is crap and boring.

Why should the leader of your nation give a flying fuck about the working class? He is set up in his palace and has got the money, why care about anyone else.

Meh. My NS reflects off my political views. I'm ok with Communism and all, but it really doesn't well...work. It's not possible to achieve it. So Capitalism is easily the best economic system avaiable, so that's what I take it. Pragmaticism. In fact, many of my views are based on pragmatism.

And my Nation still has very limited democratic ways. And to prevent riots like this.

OOC::blinks: I never said I LIKED both sides. I said I was DISGUSTED with both sides. But I was referring to Liberal vs conservative(using the American terms here people!) I am going to support Kaufman when everything goes south.

Since this invite is going at a slow pace, Im going to start off the civil war RP with what we have got.

The sides are evenly matched at the moment 2 vs. 2.

Kaufman/Government side:

Rebel side:

*Agnostic Deeishpeople

Other nations can join whatever side they want as the war progresses.
